Cool Cos haulage!

Oh yeah I have been bad!
I went to Copenhagen today and I bought all these fab items from a danish cosmetics brand called Cool Cos. They are super affordable and as far as I have tried yet, quite good quality as well.

I went a little crazy, but I am defiantely going back for more in the near future. They had 20% off so that helped my wallet feel a little better.

I cant wait to show you more in depth revews of these items.

Small Sephora haul

I took a little trip to Copenhagen today, to find some goodies that could get me started on blogging again.Even thoug I only bought a few things I am over the moon happy about the things I got.

I got a scrub and a small perfume in the scent: Monoi, wich is my favorite scent for summer.

I got a new shower puff

I got a new waterproof eyeshadow stick in beige

I got a gloss pencil in orange

AND I got the new Froncover Metallic pastels look book. I absolutely adore these "books" This is a part of their spring line and I already own one of the books from their fall line so I have apretty good idea about the quality. I cant wait to try these things out!

My "palace" behind the scene

Hello everyone, I am very very pleased to announce that I have moved to my new place and will be putting up some posts this week. Oh yeah and I am alost back to my natural hair color! yay

I thought I would let you guys see some of my apartment. The pictures are from a week or so ago, so some progress has been made. But still, you'll get the idea of how it is.

TV room

My Awesome sofa

My TV room is my favorite room. I have since mounted my tv on to the wall and added a few details. I still need some paintings and stuff to complete the room.

Some of the dining room, has since been unpacked

I have unpacked pretty much everything and added a few plants and stuff, I will take some better pictures later.

The puff slides into the sofa to make an extra large sofa. Great for movie night.

I love how my living room and dining room is seperated by these half walls. I will be putting some big candlesticks on each side of the walls soon.

So that's all I have to show for now... it definately needs some paintings and some potted plants and some decor to make it look a little more "lived in" But it's slowly getting there. And I have absolutely no more cash in my "decor budget" this month as the TV and the sofa set me back a few thousand bucks.

I cant wait to get settled a little better and show you how cozy this place is becoming.

Some fantastic news

I am so happy to let you know that I have finally found a place to call home... I have recently signed the paperwork and I will be moving into my new appartment before may 1st...

its such a great place.. It has a kitchen, a nice bedroom TWO lovingrooms (will be making one of them into a dining room) and ofcpurse bathroom.

It's not the fanciest place on earth but it's cozy and just what i need. 68 square metres (not counting the bathroom) I am very pleassed. The lease is such a steal so there will still be able to afford a few hauls now and then.

I cannot wait to move in and get my computer set up so I can start blogging again.

I was doing a project pan before all this happened but right now I have lost count of products I have used up, and I did buy a few new things because I had to leave my old place in a bit of a hurry.

There will be pictures of my new place as soon as I get settled and have gotten to decorate it a bit.

I'm writing to all of you with tears in my eyes. Today, my boyfriend of almost 3 years decided to end our relationship. I am completely crushed.

We have been living together for the past year so I am kinda "inbetween homes" right now.

I don't have access to a computer and I need to spend all my free time looking for a place to live.

So I cannot say when I will be back, only promise that I will be back as soon as I get a place to live.

All my dreams have been crushed and it feels like my heart has been ripped from my chest, but I know that time heals all wounds, I just don't know how much time I will need.

So I beg of you to please be patient with me...

Famous Baked bronzer

Just a quick heads up for all you paler than pale girls out there. I have finally found a bronzer that suits my winter pale complexion.

It's from famous cosmetics it costs £ 6,49 and it is in the shade: Miami.

This is really a light bronzer, so you have to be pale for it to show. So for me this is the perfect winter bronzer. It looks slightly pearly in the packaging but I find that it does not show up pearly or frosty on my skin, it's not completely matte either so it gives my dry winter skin a much welcomed glow without looking obvious at all.

MUA baked eyeshadow trio

I love baked products a lot so I just knew I had to get one of the MUA baked trios when I first discovered them. This was a part of my christmas gift so I have had this for a little while now and feel like I have used it enough to give a full review of it. The color I have is called Pink sorbet.

Price: £ 2,50 on muastore.co.uk

Packaging: A nice little round compact with 3 decent sized eyeshadws. Yoy also get a double sided sponge applicator. The quality of the packaging seems really nice and sturdy. Definately a fan of the packaging.

I am quite pleased with this trio, the pigmentation is really good, it's easy to apply and easy to blend and the staying power is better that the MUA eyeshadows from their palettes. So definately a bang for your buck.

The 2 light pink shades look quite similar on the eyes and they do not suit me as well as I had hoped, byt the pinky brown shade is really really lovely. I use it as an all over shade or wear it with a dark plum purple in the crease.

My only negative thing to say about these are the color selection, I am lacking a few options and this was really the only palette I could see myself buying. Hopefully they will add some more color options in the future.

Last night I went to see the new Tarantino movie; Django Unchained. What an awesome movie.

I was in a hurry to get ready as I knew it would take me at leas an hour and a half to get from my place to my hometown where I was meeting up with my friend and her friend.

I wanted to look a little nice for the evening but I did not have a whole lot of time so I went for neutral eyes with a bit of eyeliner and a red lip. (my go to look when I wanna look all dolled up but I'm in a hurry)

I used my Smashbow photo op mega palette for the brows, cheeks and eyes. I used ELF essential lipstick in "fearless" its a true bluetoned red, it does look a little washed out in the pic below, it lasted me pretty much all evening, probably my favorite red lipstick. The eyeliner is from Eyeko, It lasts forever and I just love it.

I hope you guys have had a fantastic weekend, I really enjoyed going to the movies, I rarely find time to go out anymore, and I don't even have kids... I really need to work on my social skills lol.

REN Glycolactic radiance renewal peel

I have used this for quite a while now and finally feel confident enough to make my review.
This is a acidic peeling mask that is meant to remove dead skin and unclog pores.

Price: £30 or about $47

Packaging: Nice and sanitary bottle with a good pump. I like how the product is inside a bag in the tube, I guess it's supposed to keep the product fresh and to ensure that you get all the product out of the tube and not wasting anything. It comes with a little face cloth to remove the mask with.

It does not have a strong scent to it, it has a bit of an acidic scent, but it's very faint.

The product applies easily, you will need a few pumps to cover the entire face. The texture of the peel is smooth and thick. It tingles slightly when in contact with the skin, I have sensitive skin and my skin does not get any irritation with this mask.

I leave it in for about 15 minutes and then rinse it of with water and a cloth. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and it does a nice job at removing dead skin and I feel that it does loosen up clogged pores slightly. You would have to use it for a little while and use it 1-2 times a week to really see the results.

This is not a miracle mask, but it does what it claims and I really really like it. It's great quality and worth the price tag.

Definately going to try more from this brand.

MUA Undressed palette quick review

I got this palette for christmas, I also own the Imacculate collection and the day 2 night palette so I knew what kind of quality to expect.

Price: 4£

This is said to be a dupe of Urban Decays Naked palette. I do not own that palette as I only have Naked 2 palette. From what I have seen online, the colours are quite similar but the quality of Urban Decay cannot be beaten. These MUA shadows are nowhere near as vibrant or pigmented without a base.

This is a decent palette, it has a nice variety of neutrals and the quality is quite decent. If you have oily lids, this may not be for you. I find that these shadows works best for me in winter time, in the ummer my lids are too oily for these shadows to stay put.

My conclusion would be, you get more than you pay for but don't expect it to be up there with too faced or Urban Decay. It is a nice everyday eyeshadow palette.

It's been a hard week

I am so happy that this week is coming to an end.

I had my colonoscopy done wednesday, and I can honestly say that it was the worst experience of my entire life.

I had no idea it would hurt so much. I had morfine and some sedatives and still the pain was so unbearable that I had to scream and cry and beg them to stop. So the nurses had to stop before the procedure could be finished.

But at least we are closer to finding out what is wrong with me and we can rule out cancer in the intestines so it was not all for nothing.

I have been so tired and had to take a few day off work because of stomach pains from the procedure.

I am finally feeling like myself again, and I plan to get some more post up in the near future.

So.. terrible week, but I am feeling good about myself and can't wait to put this week behind me.

Holika Holika Magic pole mascara

I stumbled upon this mascara on Ebay, and thought the wand looked kinda interesting. So I decided to try it out even though I thought it was a little on the pricey side.

Price: $ 15,11 on Ebay.com

Packaging: It comes in a nice triangular box with information and instructions on it. And ingredients list as well. The mascara tube is really pretty, and the handle is iridescent purple. The wand is really special. I have seen mascara wands that looked like the ball part before and I have seen regular mascaras with a little ball on the end. But this is long and big enough to be used seperatley. The packaging is really really nice, and it feels like it's good quality as well.

This mascara claims to be smudge proof, and it really is, it's one og those types of mascaras that is removed with warm water but still can handle a bit of tears and such during the day. I really like that.

At first this mascara was a bit too wet, wich makes my lashes clump together a little easier. But with a bit of use it does thicken up a lot.... actually it dries up pretty fast. Mine is actually aslready dried out now.

It did not really do much for my lashes, the wand was a bit annoying to use and it did not lengthen at all. So it was just an OK everyday mascara, nothing really special about it.

It was not a bad mascara at all but you could certainly get a better quality mascara for less than the price of this one.

But if you like subtle lashes and think the wand would be fun to try I say go ahead and try it, it does wear really nicely throughout the day but it just does not wow me.

Mua christmas gift

This was a christmas gift from my parents, I got it in the mail a few weeks ago.

I got the "undressed" palette, a lip boom lipstick and a baked trio and then I got 2 lipstick, 1 pressed powder and a baked bronzer as a gift with purchase.

I have yet to try the baked trio eyeshadows but they swatch absolutely amazing.

I really really like the "undressed" palette the shades are really nice, there are a few shades that could be more pigmented but all in all it's a great bargain.

Project pan update

I was finally able to catch a few moments of sunlight, just enough to quickly snap these photos.

I am still hard at work on my project pan and I have to say I think it is going really well... Slow... but well.

I really enjoyed the nutriganics skincare product a lot and woul consider purchasing them again.

Really nice gloss, but I already have a lot of nice glosses, so I don't know if I would repurchase.

Not a fan of the sephora lip balm. I would not repurchase.

I actually quite liked using this tinted moisturizer for a natural makeup look. Unfortunately we don't have Essence products in Denmark so I have no way of repurchasing it.

I still have a long way to go, but I am actually really enjoying this project pan.

What's going on with me.

I know I haven't been posting a lot lately. Winter is a hard time for me as a blogger, it's dark when I head out the door to go to work and it's dark when I come home, so I only have the weekends to try and snatch a decent picture of new products and looks as the lighting in my appartment doesn't really show up natural in pictures.

The place I used to work as a temp recently hired me as a permanetnt edition to their team, and wow are we busy. I work as a car logistics coordinator for Peugeot Denmark and we have a lot of work to do at the start of a new year so that means busy evenings at the office.

On top of that there is all the cleaning and cooking and trying to look somewhat well rested, lol... I have also been having some stomach issues, I am scheduled for a colonoscopy later this month and I am a little nervous about that, but on the other hand I am relieved that something is finally being done. So that is why I have not produced as many posts the last couple of weeks.

I am sad to see a few of my followers have left, but I realize that, that's just the way it is...

I ask you all to have a little patience untill everything gets back to normal. Feel free to comments with any questions you may have, also about the colonoscopy I always enjoy writing with my readers.

Palettes of the year

I have been using so many wonderfull palettes. It would actually be impossible for me to choose one as my all time favorite palette. So this year I have chosen the top 3 palettes of 2012.Keep in mind that I do not own every single palette out there so if i don't mention it here it may not be because I don't like it, I may simply not own it.

So here they are, in no particular order:

Coastal Scents 252 Ultimate eyeshadow palette:
This palette has it all, neutrals, brights, jewel tones and pastels, mattes, shimmers, metallics... You name it. I love this palette and the shadow is also quite nice quality.

LA Colors, Eye design, Invent:
Second year winner, I still really enjoy using this palette, I love the texture of the shadows and the quality is just really nice.

Urban Decay, Naked 2 palette:
The quality is top notch, and the packaging makes it very travel friendly. It's simply my favorite neutral palette.

Lancome Hyonose: I really really love this mascara, I have used it on and off for quite a few years now and recently rediscovered it when I was given one as a gift. I am not sure that I would purchase it myself as I am unsure of how cruelty free it is, but it's the best I have tried for a very lonf time.

Eyeko, Grafiti liner: Winner for the 2nd time. The best liquid liner I have ever used. It's so easy to apply and it just stays on forever.

Urban Decay, Naked 2 palette, snakebite: Urban Decay is one of the best eyeshdow brands I have ever tried and I really love the "snakebite" colour for a lovely neutral smokey look. Great neutral shade, amazing quality

Too Faced, Shadow Inscurance: winner for the 2nd year in a row.This primer makes my eyeshadow last and last. it 's also the best primer I have tried when it comes to making my eyeshadow pop.

Essence, Stay all day cream shadow, for fairies: Great quality cream shadow that goes on super creamy and sets to a dry finish that lasts all day. Similar to the ELF cream shadow just a little more creamy before it sets.

It was not hard to choose the winning products this time. I have been using these products a lot last year and I will probably contimue to do so in 2013.

Dr. Jart, black label BB: This is the foundation/BB cream I always see myself going back to after trying several other products. I really love this BB cream

Holika Holika Pore magic bb powder: Perfect coverage and amazingly soft and easy to apply. I adore this powder!

Hard Candy, Glamoflauge, light: This is wihtout a doubt my holy grail concealer, it's the best coverage I have ever experienced yet it's not cakey or dry. It's just pure magic on my skin and it is a winner for the second year in a row.

Little mouse ears,. sebastien: Perfect colour for me,. and it last all day. This blush started my orange cravings.

Sephora Sculpting disk: Amazing 3in1 product,. The bronzer is probably the most wearable bronzer I have ever tried and the powder is actually really really good.

Some of the products were not hard to pick at all, and some were super hard to choose. I have a lot of face products and I really really like all the nominated products.

2012 resolutions - Looking back

Last january I wrote a whole bunch of resolutions for 2012, and never looked back at that post. I thought it could be fun to see if I actually managed to go through with my resolutions.

my beauty goals for 2012were:

- Buy my first MAC lipstick. DONE

- Buy my first MAC foundation. DONE (bought 2)

- Buy Urban Decays Naked 2 palette. DONE

- Try out some more high end products. DONE (new CID, Urban Decay and such)

- Try at least 3 brands I have never tried before. DONE (revlon, New CID, Palladio and more)

- Make at least 5 large brand reviews in 2012. FAILED

- Make at least 4 "full face under 20£" posts in 2012. FAILED

- Complete a project 10 pan. DONE

- Upload 1 post every single day for a whole month. ? almost done?

- Organize my makeup better ( depotting, reorganizing etc.). DONE

- Get a better camera. FAILED

- Do more makeup looks. DONE but still could be improved

- Be better at taking care of my body. FAILED

- Be better at using body lotions and butters. FAILED

- Do more nail polish related posts. (like nails of the week) DONE

- Update my blog more often DONE

- Participate in at least 2 tag posts. FAILED

- Learn to do a cut crease look. FAILED (did not even try)

- Upload my first youtube video. DONE

And my more personal wishes for 2012 were:

- I hope to stop smoking in 2012. DONE, had my last smoke june 15th!
- I hope I will get back to my naturally blonde hair in 2012. FAILED still working on it
- I dream of loosing at least 20 pounds in 2012. FAILED lost some gained some, repeat.
- I dream of getting engaged in 2012. FAILED, not my fault though ;) blame my boyfriend lol.
- I hope that plans of starting a little family will be made in 2012. Plans are there but have been put on hold for a few years

All in all I did quite good, considering I did not even check up on this list once before today.
There are still things I need to work with but all in all it was quite a fulfilling year.

Too Faced glamour gloss: I love the feel of this gloss on my lips, smooth soft and cooling. The lips actually does plump up without any burning sensation just the nice cooling feel.

Jordana lip dazzle: Technically not really a balm but I use it as a tinted balm. I absolutely love this product, not only is it super affordable it just brings out the best in my lips and it feels amazing on.

Revlon lip butter: I chose this because it just feels so nice on my lips and the colour selection is so great. However I do feel that I have to give a special shout out to LA Girl luxury creme lipstick as this is probably my second favorite lipstick ever! So actually they both deserve to win product of the year.

This year I feel like I bought a lot of lippies, found most of them to be nice enough, found some of them to be horrible but only found a few of them to be absolute faves for a long time to come. So my I found it easy to decide on the winners this year. These products are all products that I want to try more colours from.

Christmas wishes

It's the day before christmas, and I am sitting here in Denmark looking out the window onto all that snow that seems to have come out of nowhere. This morning everything was green and now everything is covered in snow. I hope it will last through the 24th wich is the day we celebrate christmas in Denmark... Christmas eve.

I am sitting in front of my computer waiting for my hair color to develop, so I can wash it out and start packing up a little bag. My dad will come get me and drive me to my parents house where I will stay for a couple of days.

So I will be afk for a few days, but meanwhile I hope you all have a very merry christmas. I know some of my followers do not celebrate christmas so happy holidays or 24/25th of december to you ;)
