During that time, I’ve published four annual Memory Logbooks in multiple variations and formats, three Weekly Challenge books, a scrapbooking layout yearbook, our collaborative Scrap Your Real Life book and numerous miscellaneous publications, ranging from List My Life to Baby’s First Year Memory Logbook to the December Daily Fillable Page Kit. Through the process, I’ve used at least three different book printers and launched my own book imprint, as well as one sister site … learning all kinds of useful information (and making my share of miss-steps) along the way.

Scrapbooking has changed a lot during that time, too, including the emergence of Project Life as a significant influence, advances in technology resulting in many of us trading our DSLRs for our cell phone/iPhone cameras, continual changes in our social networking channels (can anyone say Timeline?), and the constant evolution of our digital communities. The LYM site itself has undergone many changes in its short life, including at least four major design changes, the addition (and removal) of a full-fledged CMS platform that included Memory Bloggers and what turned out for customers to be a very confusing array of features, several shopping cart and membership platform trials, and a multitude of other smaller tweaks and experiments.

Through these past few years, I’ve also been very fortunate to benefit from the creative contributions of multiple Creative and Design Team members, collab partners and affiliates, not to mention the hundreds of scrapbookers who have visited our site, posted layouts, purchased items, and participated in chats and numerous other activities with us.

For all of these things, I am so very grateful. Log Your Memory is much more than a business to me … it’s been a passion, a creative outlet and the source of many wonderful connections and friendships. THANK YOU to all of you who have made this a positive adventure and supported our site and its many endeavors!

As you might have guessed, however, I’ve decided the time has come for me to close out this chapter of my career and move forward in a new direction.

Part of that decision stems from a lack of time resulting from the full-time outside-the-home position I took last summer. A bigger factor, however, is that I’ve been feeling the need for several months now to shift gears and pursue new challenges in areas outside the scrapbooking world. There are only so many hours in a day, and being someone who isn’t willing to do a job halfway, I’ve decided it’s in the best interest of myself as well as the fans and followers of LYM to cease operating as an active business and website, rather than letting the business limp along without the full attention it and those who love it deserve.

So, here’s what that means…

Both the Log Your Memory SHOP and our sister Creative Outlet Publishing SHOP will officially CLOSE at the end of the day on Sunday, March 31^st Monday, April 1st. (Extended because of the holiday.) If you’d like to pick up any of our products, now is the time to do so and we’re offering two deals to help you do that:

1) A HUGE downloadable bundle (more than 785 MB!) that includes nearly every PDF publication ever offered by LYM for a bargain basement price of just $99.95 (more than 70% off the regular retail price!); and,

2) A storewide 15% off sale on all currently available print products (discounted price is already reflected on product).

After the shop closes at the end of the month, you will be able to access your account and any downloads available there, though you will want to download all products as soon as possible… and definitely before May 31, 2013, after which I can’t guarantee access will be available.

The Log Your Memory GALLERY is now offered only for viewing. Effective immediately, all uploading abilities are suspended and no new registrations will be permitted. The Gallery will remain online into the foreseeable future and you will be able to access your albums; however, I cannot guarantee that it will not eventually be deleted, SO… if you don’t have your layouts saved elsewhere, you will want to take the time to retrieve them while it is still available. (You do NOT, however, need to worry about removing your layouts… unless you want to, of course.)

The Log Your Memory AFFILIATE PROGRAM will END on March 31, 2013. All commissions due at that time will be paid before the end of the next month.

The Log Your Memory Community FACEBOOK PAGE will remain open for at least a couple months, after which time it could potentially be removed, depending upon whether there seems to be any use for it.

The Log Your Memory BLOG will remain online into the foreseeable future, though at this time, I don’t anticipate adding any new content.

The Weekly Wrap Up and Shop Newsletter MAILING LISTS will be deactivated, effective April 1^st. If you would like to remain on my mailing list for notification of any future ventures I take on (I have several ideas brewing…), I would LOVE to have you sign up for that list HERE.
