Old Navy Fall 2013 Preview Event

Summer is not even here yet but in the fashion world they are always ahead of schedule and one and two seasons ahead of the game! And Old Navy is no exception. I was invited to the Fall 2013 Collection Preview yesterday and it was so much fun. I love coming to events like these mostly because I love meeting new people and making new connections, new ideas, new inspirations and and mostly because I get to see the next season's collections before anyone else. You guys are going to love pretty much every.single.piece. From the women's clothing to the kids and of course the men's clothing. It was so well styled, I loved so many pieces and can't wait to style them myself this coming fall. The new collection is definitely much more detailed than what you are used to seeing. There were gorgeous prints and delicate jewel details on some pieces as well. I took a ton of photos, I hope you like them.

El verano ni acaba de llegar, pero en el mundo de la moda siempre estan adelantados. Caso en punto... el evento que asisti anoche de la coleccion de Old Navy para este Otono 2013. Me encanta venir a estos eventos no solo son divertidos pero tambien son buenas oportunidades de conocer a personas. Pero lo que mas me gusta es que puedo ver las colecciones de ropa antes que nadie! Les va a encantar toda la coleccion esta muy chic y con muchos detalles, desde estampados fabulosos hasta detalles de joyerias en algunas piezas. Tome muchas fotitos asi que espero que les guste.

I am one of those people that buys clothes and realizes a year later that it is in the closet. It is a very bad habit and well that was the case with this amazing hi-lo skirt that I bought at a little boutique in my local mall. I bought it literally last summer and just found it last week with tags and all. I was so happy to see this skirt, the color is perfect and the style is so calling for summer!

As you may have noticed I love to have my hair down. Wild + free and mostly with soft curls... But I wanted to change it up a bit so I tied it back and added some gold accents to make this look super tropical and very summer fab! I am not typically a hoop earring kind of girl but when selecting my merchandise I came across these and fell in love.

No soy el tipo de mujer que usa argollas pero cuando vi estas al escojer mi mercaderia, me encantaron!

I am so glad I found this pretty skirt! I felt so wonderful in this outfit I even told my husband I wish I could wear it everyday, the flow of the skirt along the breezy evening was just perfection to me. It made me feel ubber feminine and elegant.

My Mother's Day Dress

Being a mommy is my best and most proud task, it is the most rewarding yet most difficult job in the world, in my opinion. The happiness is un-measurable but so are the worries. As a first time mom I constantly wonder if I am doing a good job or praying that my son is always healthy and happy. For mother's day I had an amazing Sunday, we had a fantastic lunch at home and just spent the evening with my amazing mom and all the moms in my family, nothing better for me than spending some family time. I am so honored to be able to celebrate this special day my beautiful mom and my adorable son.

Ser mama es mi maypr logro y de lo que mas estoy orgullosa. Mi hijo es mi vida y adoracion. Ser mama es el trabajo mas hermoso pero tambien mas dificil, en mi opinion. After spending some time with my boys on Saturday for a pre-Mother's day lunch, I had a baby shower to attend in the evening. I decided to go with a real simple dress for a chic and classy look. This dress originally came without a belt so I added a belt for a blouson look. And kept the accessories to a minimum by simply adding earrings and a cuff.

Despues de el almuerzo que tuve con mid dos amores, tuve que asistir a un baby shower. Quize estar comoda pero chic y un poquito elegante, por eso decidi vestirme de un color beige clarito. Le anadi una correa a el vestido para darle un poquito mas de silueta. Y me puso pocos accesorios, tan solo aretes y una pulsera.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Out of all my duties and responsibilities, being a MOM to my son is my number 1 priority. My favorite task, my favorite job and the best of past times. It isn't always easy but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

From the moment he was born I became something I had never been before, not just a woman but a mother. The love for a child is absolutely the most selfless kind of love. And he has taught me love, I have became a lioness to my cub, I've laughed when I wanted to cry, and most of all patience, oh the patience jajaja.

There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank my God for the most amazing little boy, the smartest, the silliest and most handsome boy I ever laid my eyes on. He makes everything worth it.

I am the happiest woman I have ever been because I his mom.

A little bohemian chic...

I have been a very busy girl lately. Just this past Saturday I had 3 events in one day. My amazing friend's baby shower, family's first communion and lastly a jewelry party. So I wanted to wear something super easy and that would be perfect for all 3 events, since they were all back to back. So of course I chose a gorgeous maxi dress - from which I own in two colors, that's how much I love it!

If you are into fashion then you know the Celine bag is the IT bag to have right now. I drool over every single design they have. But my bank account realistically cannot afford it! I rather go on a vacation. But don't doubt it, I dream of a Celine nightly... so I am hoping one day I can get my little hands on one forever.

Brighten My Pants

The weather here in NJ has been insane. So you see me with a cute little summer dress one day and then this chunky sweater the next but I tried to make it a little summery by adding this bright pair of pants that I super love. And of course I am not giving up on spring... so I had to pair it with my most amazing Forever 21 sandals, because you know, sweaters and sandals together = so cool.

Marcos Carrasquillo: “One of the biggest hair trends I predict for this red carpet will be the loose, beachy waves- especially on Ana. Ana loves to rock her voluminous hair; her honey highlights always add that golden touch which is so trend for the spring season.”

L’Oréal Paris: How can we recreate Ana’s seductive beachy waves?

Marcos Carrasquillo: “This is a very simple, easy look to recreate. Start with towel-dried hair and massage a volumizing product into your roots such as the L’Oréal Paris EverStrong Thickening Tonic. Apply a quarter-sized amount of the L’Oréal Paris EverCurl Hydracharge Leave-In Cream through your ends, working in small sections for the most even coverage. L’Oréal Paris has a perfect emerald shade- Infallible Eye Shadow in Golden Emerald. Apply it softly on the lid and finish off with a thin black line to add definition. I love using the L’Oréal Paris Super Slim Liner by Infallible as it creates both a precise and bold line. Finish off your look with lengthening mascara, such as the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara. I don’t think the bold lip will be trending for this red carpet- it will clash too much with the bronzy look. Look who makes a little cameo, my puppy Lola or Lo for short ;) Such a cutie.

As we all know by now, pastels are here to stay this season, they have been a big trend since last year and I just love it. It is so feminine and plain PRETTY. I wanted to feel easy breezy with this style, I bought this blouse at Forever 21 for $15 and it's such a great deal, you can wear it so many way.

For me this was my comfy chic Sunday outfit.

Little Black Dress... and some coral!

Little black dresses or LBDs are every woman's go-to dress for more than one occasion! It isn't just a fab color to dress up or down.. it is a classic and timeless. I personally love black pieces in my closet because of their versatility. Last Friday night, I was invited to attend a fun event called Glam Night Out by Glamour Magazine + Redken. It was the launch of the amazing new Diamond Oil by Redken.

So what to wear? My newest LBD and for fun I added some pop!

The event was fabulous and so much fun! It was held at Teezers in Bayonne, NJ, the location is gorgeous, so pretty and chic.. and wo doesn't want to be pampered and drink champagne in the process? We got to have our hair washed and treated with Redken's brand new product... Diamond Oil. Then we were off to our blowout. I love the Redken Diamond Oil... it smelled beautiful and left my hair so soft and shiny.

El evento fue en Teezers, un lindo salon de belleza en Bayonne, NJ - Nos lavaron el cabello y lo trataron con un producto llamado Diamond Oil, cual dejo mi cabello oliendo riquisimo y suver suave y brilloso.

The Maxi Dress

My best days are those spent with my boys... my husband + my son. We've had some pretty amazing days in New Jersey lately. Spring is definitely in full bloom. We spent a gorgeous Wednesday at the park having a little picnic. It was the perfect day for a maxi dress and some cute and comfy wedges.

If there one style I loved while being pregnant, that was maxi dresses. They are so easy and comfortable and still so chic. They are perfect not only for pregos but of course for every girl that wants to feel fab during the summer months. They are breezy and easy! Throw a pair of cute wedges on and you are ready to go! From picnics to day trips to shopping and even days spent in the city, the maxi dress is a staple piece in my closet.

The trees by my house have been in full bloom, lucky me right? I get to shoot some cute photos with these gorgeous pink trees! I wish they would stay this way all year long. A little floral in the office...

Aside from being a mom, wife, blogger and business owner. I also work part-time in an office! I love it because it gives me a few hours of "me" time a day. I love getting dressed up in the morning, it is probably one of the reasons I love working, getting all dressed up and feeling like an independent woman makes for a happy mommy + a very happy wife. Back to the clothes... Spring days have been absolutely beautiful, so what better way to spice up an office outfit than with florals! Here is my favorite floral blouse!

Como algunas personas saben, aparte de ser mama, esposa, bloggera y duena de negocio... tambien trabajo tiempo medio. Me gusta mucho porq asi puedo tener un poco de tiempo para mi. Me encanta vestirme y maquillarme en la manana... cualquier excusa para jugar con la moda! Salir a trabajar me hace sentir contenta e independiente... y mujer contenta = mama y esposa feliz! Boyfriend Pants {Mommy Casual}

Most of my posts are typically of me in high heels... on the weekend or for an event and when I have my husband to run around after my son. But for the most part after I leave work on the weekdays I am in flats.As a mom it's a lot easier to wear a cute pair of flats than heels for day to day errands and play time. Don't get me wrong as you can see on my weekly looks I love me some heels but the reality of it is - toddler + heels really don't mix well together. Thank God for amazing fashion trends and styles! I am so into tuxedo flats... I live in them. Flats can still be fab and chic... just have to get the perfect ones and your outfit is good to go! This was one of my looks over the weekend for a fun and gorgeous day out lunching and running around the park with my baby boy.

Como se pueden haber dado cuenta casi en todos mis looks del blog tengo puesto zapatos con taco. Son mis favoritos. Pero la realidad es que tengo un bebe de 20 meses y tacos mas ninos chiquitos, simplemente no van! De Lunes a Viernes despues del trabajo, tipicamente me pueden encontrar en zapatos bajos. Pero en cuento tengo un chance de poner mis anhelados tacones, lo hago cada que pueda... para el trabajo, para los eventos... y cada vez que salgo con mi esposo. Pretty Pastels

It's been a great weekend, gorgeous weather, spring crisp air... and lots of pastels. I am in love with pastels for spring, the soft feminine feel and look of it, is just so chic and pretty. I've had these pants for over a year now and I can't get enough of them, I wore them all last spring and summer and they will again be worn this season! They are so comfortable and effortless chic, you can match them with all sorts of tops, so versatile. I just purchased these lavender pumps and wanted the perfect spring outfit to wear with them! I thought this look was just perfect for a fun afternoon dinner with family or friends.

He tenido un lindo fin de semana... el clima estuvo hermoso, no hay nada como el aire de primavera. En este momento aparte de el blanco y negro, tambien me encantan los colores pasteles, siempre son un classico para esta temporada. Estos pantalones los compre hace mas de un anio. Beautiful Inside + Out! {My Beauty Regimen for a Day to Day}

If you know me, you know I love try out new makeup and beauty products all the time. I love going from high end brands to drug store brands... As a matter or fact I am constantly changing my make up brands every time I run out of something and I love it, I like experimenting and finding new amazing brands. This time I am using Neutrogena products. From facial wipes to lip glosses! And loving it! I wanted to do a little step-by-step on what my beauty and skin care regimen is like. I love wearing simple natural-looking makeup for my every day looks, whether its at the office or for running errands!

My nightly routine consists of:

I start by wiping off all my makeup with my Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. They are perfect for those nights when we are so tired and just want a quick cleanse... just wipe a few times and you are done. They leave your skin smooth and super clean with zero makeup residue. You can feel the same cleanse effect as you would if you washed your face with soap. I love them!

I love the easiness of the towelettes but I also like to wash my face with my favorite bar soap the Facial Cleansing Bar Soap - I normally do the wipes + soap combined every other day.

... on those days, I follow up with a scrub, the Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub is great for my skin. It is oil-free and clears blemishes. It has 100% naturally derived grapefruit extract and vitamin C.

Finally once I have done all my cleaning, I apply Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Time Moisturizer - I got this tip from Millie over at BeautyLogic, she is the Beauty Editor for Cosmo for Latinas. I follow her on FB and instagram and just love her tips. I believe we should start preventing wrinkles early on, skin is super important and most importantly ALWAYS protect your skin from the sun. Even on cloudy days!

And voila! I am ready for bed! I know it seems like a lot of steps but it really isn't. It takes me just about 5 minutes and so totally worth it! What is your night time skin routine?

The next day in the morning after I have showered and get dressed. I apply my makeup. I must admit I feel naked without it but I don't like to cake makeup on, so for my everyday look I go with very simple steps. Having a toddler, I am really tight on time, so I must use my time efficiently, everyday!

I first apply Shine Control Primer - it helps makeup apply more smoothly and last longer, while optical modifiers help minimize the look of pores.

Second, I use the Shine Control Powder. It helps skin stay shine-free and fresh-looking all day. The lightweight powder with patent-pending rice protein technology acts like a sponge to absorb excess oil and instantly eliminates shine for a fresh look that lasts for 8 hours.

I don't use eye shadow every day. But on days when I have an extra minute in the morning, I like the natural look and feel of the eye shadow stick - easy and natural!

I can't live with out mascara! Like I mentioned earlier, I try different brands all the time, I have at least 3 in my makeup bag right now... and Neutrogena's Healthy Lengths Mascara is one of those I recommend. It delivers a lash lengthening formula for lashes that look 100% longer, beautifully healthy and noticeable. Exclusive vitamin E and olive oil formula deeply nourishes and strengthens lashes from the inside out so lashes stay strong day after day.

A little tip I love that I got from my mom is set your lipstick or lipgloss with some face powder, apply it lightly over your lips and put your favorite lipstick or lipgloss on. It'll last all day!

Finally I apply some lipgloss or lipstick, depending on my mood and clothes that day and I am done. This time I used MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Juicy Peach! Super cute color and natural shade that I love. Here is my look in different lighting! In my bathroom with dim light... peachy and natural.

...and here I am in front of the natural light from my window... I love a natural peachy look. It makes my skin feel clean and fresh all day without that cake-y feeling.

Black for Spring

The weather in NJ has been all kinds of crazy lately. I feel like it was warmer in January than it is now in March! But as a fashionista we must embrace it! Make the best of it and be fab even in the cold temps. I wore this casual black and white outfit for dinner with cousins. I love this look because it is chic and comfortable.

Colorful Sunday

I had a relaxing Sunday with my boys this past weekend. It is always great to get as much quality time as possible with my little family. They are my priority above all after all! Work is amazing lately but I always make sure to put my two favorite people first. We went put for a casual and fun lunch at one of our favorite spots and then visited friends, my kind of Sunday!

Tuve un domingo muy de relax este fin de semana pasado. Pasar tiempo con mis dos hombres es lo mas importante para mi. Ellos dos son mi prioridad y van ante todo! El blog y negocio estan super chevere ahora ultimo pero mi familia viene primero. Salimos a pasear, a lonchar en unos de nuestros lugares favoritos y de ahi fuimos a visitar a amigos... super chevere y de relax!

Anytime you add heels to any outfit it totally takes it that step further. So next time you want to be casual but chic, wear your favorite casual outfit, add some fab sunnies and comfortable heels and you are good to go!
