I have a weakness for cute looking figures even if I don't know the anime character that well. When I saw this one, I was happy it is "Sold Out" because I'm afraid I'd buy it on impulse.

I last talked about how I wanted the Noumi Kudryavka Halloween figure. I never did get it, and am not even sure how much it would cost if I tried buying it now ahaha. Owell, I've been checking my favorite online store, ToysLogic, and see more cute anime figures. I still stand by with what I said in my last post, about that Noumi figure being the cutest I've seen to date.

For now I want to talk about a girl from Clannad, Kyou.

The fox ears and tail make me wish I owned this, VERY cute. The downside is, it's $60 and only 1/12 scale! It's pretty damn small, but does come with a clip to attach Kyo to your computer monitor. This product is manufactured by some company called "Funny Knights." I've never bought anything they've made, heck I've never even heard of them before, but from the stock photo above it does look nice.

Doesn't look like I'll be buying her. Maybe if she was in the $20 range. Sorry cute fox Kyou, I still love you! :(

Noumi Kudryavka Halloween Figure

Even though I haven't purchased any anime merchandise in almost a year, I still check on Toyslogic every now and then for nice figures. Not too long ago I discovered one that, to me, is the nicest looking PVC figure I've seen to date.

I've always found Noumi Kudryavka to be cute, and bought a Kotobukiya version of her last summer. She looks adorable dressed for Halloween, and the base she stands on looks nicely decorated. I'd love to own this figure but Toyslogic has her on pre-order for $150 USD! The most I've spent on a figure to date is $75 for Misuzu Kamio. Too bad this 18cm Noumi figure has to be "limited," otherwise she'd be a lot cheaper.

She'll be available 10/31/2009 if anyone feels like buying me one! :D

Playstation 2

I bought 42 Playstation 2 games over the past few months, mostly RPGs. I check up on my blog every so often but haven't decided on what to blog about. I don't think there's a point in blogging about old video games in much detail, even though I'm enjoying them, haha.

Phantasy Star Universe is one game I really wish I had played online when it first came out. I still had a great time solo playing it though offline.

I'm glad I bought all these games and for so cheap because there are so many old games worth playing that I never used to know existed.

Bootleg Laser Stickers?

While checking Ebay for good deals on authentic nendoroids, I came across this auction posted by a Hong Kong seller: Ebay

Seller claims that because the figure boxes have a laser sticker they are authentic. I only own two nendoroids at the moment, and I feel like discussing Good Smiles Companies stickers so that I can be familiar with each one they use.

Here is a close up on the sticker that is on those two boxes above.

The seller claimed that the figures where authentic in his auction, though personally, I have never seen that sticker before. Could anyone reading this please provide me with some information on that?

Two different stickers I see Good Smile Company use are the following:

Notice that the sticker on Lights box above (image taken from HobbySearch) is different from the one on the box the ebay seller has. So far there are only two legitimate stickers I know of that GSC use on their boxes, and one in question. What is the reason for GSC using more than one? None of their figure boxes distributed to the United States by AAA Anime have either of these stickers correct?

US Figure Stores?

I'm interested in finding more online stores based in the United States that sell anime figures. I've always bought from ToysLogic, but it's good to know others for price comparison. I recently found out about Otakufuels existance and right away I see some of their Nendoroids are cheaper than ToysLogics. I don't know what Otakufuel charges for shipping yet since I'm too lazy to fill in all my shipping info if I'm not going to really buy something yet. After this post I'm going to try to compile a list of US stores.

One thing that's on my mind though when stores in the United States sell figures is, I rather get the Japan imported figure, then the US distributed ones. I'm pretty sure United States figures are a lot cheaper (I heard Kotobukiyas were especially) so I'd hate to pay the Japanese MSRP for it (Which is how much I see the figures for at these stores, say it's 7,500 yen for example) and end up getting one distributed by AAA anime which I assume costs less.

I asked ToysLogic a question many months ago, and they told me that *most* of their figures were the Japanese imports, and that some were domestic . I ordered two "Little Busters!" figures from them, Kotobukiya ones, and on the back of their boxes it has a DC Comics Distributor label on it, English Hazard warning, and the words KotoUS on it. The Japanese yen price and other Japanese writing is on it though. On the KotoUS site, the 2 figures I bought weren't even listed though...

I need to find some list or site that has a complete list of US distributed figures and their US MSRP. I don't even know any stores in the US that only sell these domestic figures and who don't import any from Japan.

Vox to Blogger

I'm moving to Blogger from Vox, where I made my first blog ever. The only thing I liked about Vox was how easy it was to make a decent looking layout. It took me some hours to get my layout up and looking right on here. I also noticed that when I uploaded my banner to Blogger, it butchered the quality of the image to about 60%. I wasn't understanding why the quality of my banner was looking looking so shitty, but finally I uploaded it to Imageshack and got 100% now.

I'm happy with how my blog looks now, so I'm going to see what else Blogger has to offer. Actually, I was only with Vox for a few weeks so I'm still new to the hobby. The perpous of this post is mainly to see how my blog looks with some text haha.
