I have super sensitive skin and I was worried that these soaps would dry out my skin and cause me to itch more then usual or possibly cause a rash and I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't. The scent of them aren't overbearing, and they held up well in the shower. I was picturing them falling about into little bits during the first use. I also love the fact that they are made from all natural vegetable oil, very gentle on the skin.

K'NEX Under The Sea Product Review

I once again was able to do a product review from K'Nex and once again I was surprised by the quality and the fun aspect of it for my little one.

This time I was sent the: Under The Sea Friends Building Set.

Includes ideas for ten alternate builds.

She had been waiting patiently since the box arrived to crack it open and get to playing. I was impressed by her self-control not to just rip the box open. :-)

My thoughts:

As you can see from the above pieces that they are good size and easy for little fingers to grasp. She was able to snap them together without much assistance or interference from Mom.

I found that this toy allowed her to play on her own and I just had to snap the pictures. She wasn't able to follow completely along with the directions/suggestions on what to build, she was close on them, but sometimes chose the wrong size, but with a little assistance from me she was able to create replicas of what was on the box and in the direction sheet that is included with the toy.

She really loved the toy and continues to play with the pieces, I love the fact that it is easy clean-up (only 48 pieces), easy for the little ones to play with, some of the pieces are flexible which makes them easier to use, all around this toy is just plain fun.

I believe her favorite parts were the new Kid'Nex figures, as she seems to be carrying one of them with her where ever we go now.

On the box it states for children 3+, but I found, which is the one thing that wasn't tops for me, that a few of the pieces are smaller and do present a choking hazard (which by the way is pointed out both on the website and the box). Even my little one still likes to stick things in her mouth, so when they have the little pieces in their hands, they should really be watched.

All and all, I believe K'Nex has hit a home run with this toy. My little girl loved it. It lets a child's imagination run wild, and lets them create on their own. It is reasonably priced, so if you start losing pieces, you can easily replace them.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank K'Nex again for allowing me to do this product review for them.

I love doing product reviews for children's CD's/albums, etc. My little girl loves music, all types of music. We started her out listening to music at a very young age. She actually got to listen to it while in womb as well. So, on any given day she is listening and singing along to rock, or to country (her favorite right now is Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith) and dancing to the music.

I was given the opportunity to do a product review for Groove Kid Nation: Music In Motion which is a CD full of Kid's Songs .

Our Opinion:

You'll love this CD to get your kids going and interested in musical instruments. The music is smooth and fun, great for kids of all ages. I think my little one's favorite song was Humpty Dumpty that starred Humpty Dumpty on Bass. Though she kept running through the house saying Funky Chicken, Funky Chicken, which starred Melody on Guitar.

I liked all the songs. The beats are wonderful, easy to keep toe tapping to. Even if you say you aren't going to toe-tap, you do. I actually found myself dancing in "my chair." Doing some jamming with Miles and BoomKat to the song Itch and Scratch.

Again, you will love this CD for your kids. It is fun and smooth, and the kids can sing and dance along.

Also, what is nice is that 10% of the wholesale price is donated to the CARE charity which helps fight poverty.

Dr. Sears Zone Diet Product Review & Giveaway

I've always been skeptical of diets. Eat this, don't eat that. On one diet you could eat this, but on another they are telling you that is poison and not to eat it.

Where do you begin? Who do you believe?

Like a lot of people, I need to lose some weight, I know that, no one has to tell me that.

When Dr. Sears contacted me about doing a product review of the ZoneFast Weight Loss Program, I decided to take him and his company up on the offer.

This is a two-week program, and each week arrives separately.

This is what your first week package will look like when it arrives, all packaged up. Your second week package will be similar but without the menu plan, the getting started booklet or recipe booklet. You can see what is included in the weekly shipments.

My Opinion:

I love how they lay it all out for you. They suggest a two week menu for you which includes a recipe booklet so you can follow the recipes. All is included, snacks as well. As they say "they take the guesswork out of your meal planning." It is all right there.

As for the food, like some things, you might need to have an acquired taste for it. I'm not a huge granola fan, and a couple of times the menu calls for granola and milk. Then there is the salmon bagel sandwich, not much of a chance of me eating salmon, or the humus. As I said, an acquired taste might be needed.

But, I was pleasantly surprised at some of the meals. There is a Tomato Mozzarella Sandwich that it yummy and easy to make. The snacks are wonderful, cookies, bagel chips, a pretzel that is huge. They are definitely satisfying. They don't send your body into shock by removing every carb possible, I mean, you are eating bagels, pretzels, cinnamon toast, rolls and more. I love my bread, so this is a big plus for me.

My main issue with the program is the food that you must buy on the side to go with the meals, and some of the ingredients that they call for. Doing this 2 week meal plan, I had to buy food for the meals and plus other groceries to make meals for my family. Makes it difficult, especially if you are on a tight food budget. But, you can go to Grocery Additions and it gives you hints on what you can add to your 2-week plan to make it work for you.

All and all, I was/am satisfied with this program. I feel that it is an excellent jump start for people. They can't make it any easier to follow along with the program.

Smiley Cookie Jack O Lantern Gourmet Sugar Cookies Review

How can I turn down a chance to do a product review for cookies? I mean, cookies. Really, would anyone turn it down?

I got the chance to do another product review for Smiley Cookies again this year. Yes, I said again as I was picked last year to do a cookie review for them. This year my review was for the Jack O Lantern Gourmet Sugar Halloween Cookies.

With the holidays coming up it is time for all the cookies to start making appearances and if you would like something sweet for Halloween that isn't all candy then a Halloween Cookie would be the way to go.

Like always they arrive in a cute Smiley Cookie box.

My opinion (and my little one as she "tested" the cookies as well):

They definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. I'm not a big candy corn fan (which is used on the cookie) but the flavor of it isn't that strong and doesn't override the taste of the sugar cookie. When you see all the frosting you think "my gosh this is going to be super sweet," but really it isn't. It has the right amount of sweetness from the frosting and candy and you still have the sugar cookie flavor shining through.

I give them two thumbs up for being sweetly satisfying. Have a craving for something sweet? This definitely fills that craving.

My little one says that they are delicious. It is a big cookie and I'm surprised that she ate the whole thing. Now I'm going to have to hide them from her or she'll be trying to get into them all night long.

Two thumbs up again.

As I mentioned, these cookies are pretty good size and you get a dozen of them. Maybe you would like a little snack, something on the smaller size, then how about something from the Halloween Party Snack section? Same great taste, just a smaller version.

Randall Goodgame is continuously on tour and you can go to the Slugs & Bugs site to find out where he will be appearing next. Also, they do have a youtube channel if you want to catch them out "live" via youtube.

My take/opinion:

Loved it. The little one loved it. Yes, you can tell from a few of the titles that the songs deal with the Lord or God, but it isn't "shove it down your throat" type of music. These songs are fun and believe me when I tell you that they are catchy. You will get them in your head and won't be able to get them out. I've tried. But I find myself humming them much later after the CD player has been turned off. Plus, really, can you forget that name?

My favorite song on the CD is Dreams.

The little one loved Tractor Tractor and Chicken Wiggle, well she loved all the songs and started dancing immediately as soon as I put the CD in. You just can't help but to tap your toe to this songs as they are playing.

You can also head on over to the Slugs & Blugs blog and find out information with tours and see some concert footage.

Trust me when I tell you that you and your kids are going to love this CD.

My thoughts and review:

To start with, my little one is just 3 years of age so to keep her focused on something for longer then 5 minutes takes a lot of work. But this was easy, maybe to easy, but easy none-the-less.

We joined Ahmed Fahmy on the Condor Trek which took just about 24 minutes. My little one loved it. It kept her attention, and the yoga poses were easy for her to follow and duplicate.

Here is one where she was doing the bicycle to go to the river and to get in her rowboat to head on over to take the Condor eggs back to their parents.

Then this was her rowing her rowboat across the river and dodging alligators.

What is nice about the DVD and the yoga poses as the kids are listening and following a story. Ahmed tells a great story and it kept her fascinated all the way through it.

She loved the yoga poses and wanted to play the DVD again.

I like the ease of following along for the little ones and the fact that they hear a story and have fun right along with it. They are getting exercise but are having so much fun that they don't realize it.

Overall, I definitely give this kids yoga DVD an A+, and a must have for parents/caretakers with children age 3-8.

Mr. BIggs In The City Book Review And Giveaway

I was given the wonderful opportunity to do a book review of Mr. Biggs In The City written and illustrated by Kevin Bloomfield.

The book follows Mr. Biggs as he heads to the big city to seek adventure and fun. See, Mr. Biggs is kind of lonely in the forest and one day he climbs this big old tree and he is able to see the city. To Mr. Biggs, the city looks fun and he really wants to visit there so off he goes on his adventure.

You get to follow along as Mr. Biggs tries his hand at skateboarding, ballet, being a musician and so much more.

Will Mr. Biggs find friends and fun in the big city?

Well, you will just have to read this book to find out.

My opinion on this book is: I loved it. The illustrations and the story are wonderful. I have had the book for a couple of days now and we have read it 5 times. My little girl loves this book, and it is now her favorite one to read before bed, and she is even willing to go and get comfortable on the bed and take a nap if I read to her first. She giggled at the illustrations and followed along wonderfully with the story.

Per the summary the audience of this book is Pre-K to 3rd grade and my little one who is Pre-K age was easily able to follow along and not get bored. The pictures jumped right off the page at her and kept her interested throughout the whole book.

I know that this is a book that she is going to treasure for a long time to come.
