London 2012 Stadium

There are now 11 webcams on six sites of the Park: the

Olympic Stadium, Olympic Village, Aquatics Centre, Energy Centre, Stratford
Regional Station and a Park-wide shot.

This latest feature joins other interactive elements on the
London 2012 website. The London 2012 map enables you to find out Games-related
activity in your area and on the Park. There is also a virtual tours page where
you can see 360-degree views of the Park and Stadium.

Steel terracing supports for Olympic Stadium

“The first steel has been erected on the Olympic Stadium reaching 35 metres above the ground and creating a visible landmark for miles around the Olympic Park.

Steel terracing supports, each weighing 35 tonnes, are being lifted into place above the podium level to hold the 55,000 seats in the upper tiers. Work has begun this week on the south stand and 112 of these rakers will be erected around the Stadium podium over the next nine months.”
