Libera posted a preview video of their upcoming DVD: Angels Sing - Christmas in Ireland. Well, I have a story to tell for you before we talk about the video. So, I got a notification on phone that Libera uploaded a new video. Of course I headed to their channel right away, but only to find there was nothing new. Later, people started posting it on Twitter and guess what, I couldn't watch it because of the copyright issue. I was a bit disappointed because of it. Then miracle happened. Sort of. Apparently the video can't be accessed from mobile. So, my suggestion is don't watch it on phone.

OK. My opinion about the video? LOVED it! The boys are so funny. They look a bit nervous. And it's asdfghjkl cute! Perhaps as they say in their latest blog and in the video itself, they are afraid of being embarrassed forever on the DVD. Haha. And oh-my-boys! Even though we only got bits and pieces of the concert, I will say that their performance is superb! Every boy, soloist or not, did a very well done job. They sing every song oh-so-beautiful! Make this DVD is really something. Now what are you waiting for? Order your copy now!

A Few Notes on Libera and Other Stuff

Hi! How are you my friends? Omg, there is a lot going on in Libera's world lately. And I love it! Are you excited for the new Christmas DVD? I am! Have you ordered your copy? Here's the link, do it now! For the Filipino, the CD/DVD's will be available on October 27 at Astroplus Stores. They also will sell it during the concerts. Speaking of the concerts, the Philippines tour is only 3 weeks away. I'm excited for you guys who get the chance to see it. Enjoy every second of it! By the way, another Christmas concert will be held on November 28 in London. Don't forget they start selling the concert ticket TODAY at 2pm London time. It usually sells out fast, so get your fingers ready!

Well, have you noticed anything different? Well, aside from (again) another new look on the blog. Yes, you are correct! I have changed my blog title to "The White Robes". Why? For the past few years running this blog, I've been asking myself why I chose "London in Love" of all Libera-related stuff I could choose to be my blog title. Honestly I always thought it was such a silly name for a Libera fan blog. Lol. But, I never had enough courage to change it until now. And I think this is the right time to make the move.

Not only the title, I will change the URL/address as well. It will be the same as the title. Along with this post, I want to give you notice before I move the blog to the new address. So, you will not be confused of the sudden change and wonder where the heck madinelover blog is. One day if you stumble on thewhiterobes(dot)blogspot(dot)com, that is me!

I know, I know, this is such a huuuge change. But, it is necessary. I want my blog screams Libera in general. I'm really sad to lose the madinelover from the blog. It has become a part of me. So, it is hard to let it go. Well, but I'll always be a Madinelover at heart. Also on twitter, tumblr, and email. Hehe. Okay, I think that's all. I possibly will move after Josh's birthday or Philippines tour. So, watch out!

As you know, Libera has filmed their concert in Armagh last month. Well, Warner Classics will be releasing the album very soon. It is called "Angels Sing - Christmas in Ireland". Lovely title! Armagh - Christmas Concert

OK, to be honest, I'm emotionally dying inside because once again I missed another special concert. Also here I thought Josh was already retired but tonight he's back to the group as the singer and again I missed the chance to see him live in his white robe! Why oh why. Sigh.

BUT, on the bright side, they'll make it into a DVD which is great for people like me who couldn't make it. Aaahh...I really really can't wait for this special DVD to be released. Armagh Concert Announcement

Another show has been announced by Libera. They will return to Armagh for a FREE concert at St Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral on Friday 9th August at 19:30. If you want to attend please give them a notice via e-mail armaghconcert@libera.org.uk.

Alright, here is the most interesting part, they say the show will be FILMED for Christmas. Yes, filming! Does it mean that we will get a new DVD of live concert this Christmas? Holy mother of God! I can't even write a proper blog post just by thinking of the possibility of getting a DVD! All I know is, it will be a sweet sweet Christmas this year! Are you as excited as I am? DVD! Yay!

There's one thing. According to TCRfm, Libera will be singing in Tramore at 12 noon mass on Sunday the 4th of August in the Holy Cross Church, Ireland. Be there if you're around.

Getting To Know Newbies #2

• Anthony Kerr-Munley - It's quite a challenge to find proper shot of this one. As I combed through all archives, I was like "Boy, you need to be more active in front of camera! And photobomb everywhere, please!" Lol. Just kidding, Anthony. ;) Well. Anthony appeared for the first time performing with Libera in Northern Ireland Tour 2012. He has become a regular member of the choir since then.

• Marc Alvares - Marc first performed as a Libera boy at St.George concert in November 2012. Then he joined Libera going on tour in Taiwan and South Korea. That is his very first international tour. He was the youngest member on the tour. And he just turned 9 years old at the time.

Originally I planned to write 4 boys in this post, but I can't seem to find any picture of Alex Montoro and Camden Stewart. Oh well. And what's the point of posting their profiles without picture, anyway? We want to get familiar with these boys, right?! If you happen to have picture of the new boys (especially Alex and Camden), can you share them with me, please? I'd happily accept them. Just let me know, OK? :)

I hope to write some more in the future. Because it did help me to recognize who is who as I wrote these posts. How about you, guys? I hope it worked well for you, too. Alright, I guess it's my cue to end this post. So...see you in the next post, guys. Cheers!

• Camden Stewart - I knew that this boy was either Alex or Camden. But, I wasn't sure who he was to be exact until someone here revealed it to me. Thanks for that, whoever you are! :) So...everyone, meet Camden! He just joined Libera last November along with Marc and Alex. Camden also made a brief appearance in their Christmas Greeting 2012 video. The concert in Guildford is his second performance with Libera.

Getting To Know Newbies #1

I don't know about you guys but I honestly can't keep up with the recent newbies in Libera. While I was still learning to get to know them, then another group of newbies came into sight, then another one, and then I lost track. So, I decided to write this post up to help myself (and perhaps you) to get back on the track. But no need to rush. We will take it slow. Learn them one by one. That is why I made this into two parts. Hope it will help.

The ones I consider as newbies here are the 'new' boys who weren't on Spring Tour 2012 and came after that. I will not include ten newbies from Guildford Concert since there's no picture of them yet. We have 8 newbies (9 actually, but Misha Lievin's gone after his debut concert) on the list from Summer Tour 2012 to Spring Tour 2013. Shall we begin?

• Berty Smart - He is Alfie Smart's younger brother. He first appeared in Libera's St.George concert 2011. Since then he performs regularly in every concert, only missed Spring Tour 2012 in Asia. Probably he was too young for going on tour at the time.

• Anthony Blake - I don't know why I always mistook him for Berty and vice versa. Maybe it's their hairstyle? Anthony's debut concert is Arundel concert in 2012. I heard from others that he always smiles while singing on the stage. Love smiley boys! ;)

• Sam Wiggin - Like Anthony, Sam also made his first appearance at Arundel concert in May 2012. He got his very first solo at the recent concert in Guildford. And he did a pretty good job on Ave Verum. Way to go, Sam!

• Alessandro Mackinnon-Botti - Among four of them, Alessandro is quite new. He just joined Libera last Autumn. Northern Ireland Tour in 2012 is Alessandro's first tour and also his first concert with Libera. Eh, he's kinda cute, btw! :)

Guildford Concert

Tonight's concert in Guildford was one to die for. It was very special. There were FORTY-ONE boys singing. Imagine how powerful they were. Some older boys who missed the Asia tour were back, adding more power to low voice group. The funny thing is Liam who has been MIA for more than a year was also back to the stage tonight. Yay! As usual, I'm very happy to welcome the new boys in Libera. Can't wait to hear more from you, mini boys. Anyway, do you guys notice how many siblings are in Libera now? :)

There's a new addition to the set list, a song called I'm Dreaming Of Home. I thought it was a new song specially composed for Libera. But, apparently it's already exist in this world; it's a soundtrack of the film "Joyeux Noel". A beautiful song, though. I put the link below to give you the idea of how the song sounds like.

I love that the not-so-newbies started to take over the lead on some songs. I'll definitely miss the voices of Ralph, Stefan, and others. But, the newbies also offer many promising talents. Take Lucas Wood for example. I heard he did a brilliant job on his first solo and could sing really high too.

Although they brought 41 boys tonight, actually Libera didn't always sing with full choir. The ten newbies only sang on Gloria and Eternal Light in the first half, and then joined again with the rest on the last 3 songs and encore in the second half. Still, it's such a wonderful experience for fans to witness 41 Libera boys on the stage. I think every Libera fan now started to dream of having one. I hope they'll do it again some time in the future.

Overall, it seems like this concert was a huge success based on the impression that audience had: well-attended, efficient staff, very nice venue, beautiful lighting, and of course perfect performing. Woo-hoo! Happy to hear that. Also proud of the boys.

So, the Spring Tour 2013 is officially over. Thanks to Patrick, Yuki, Peer, and everyone for pictures and live news. And congratulations Libera on the successful tour. Now take a good rest, boys. See you on the next tour in Summer.

It's like the biggest group that they've ever brought to the stage. Ever. For all of you the concert-goers, you all are very very lucky. Yes, I'll admit, I'm SO jealous. But, here is my truly genuine "Enjoy!". Despite my jealousy, I'm very happy for you guys and very excited for what surprise they'll bring "us" this time. :)

(Libera) Loves

I love Libera. I love the celestial sound of their music. I love the angelic voices that (unbelievably) come from those little tiny bodies. I love hearing them producing beautiful harmonies together. I admire their confidences when they sing. I love them because they simply do what they love and love what they do for love (read: hobby).

I love Josh Madine for many reasons that I can’t even decide where to start first. Uhm…his sweet, dreamy voice? Yes, definitely! Also the way he sings, bringing out emotion in me and tears and smiles.....:') I love the sweet and loving heart Ralph Skan got. Not to mention the tenderness in his singing voice! I love Michael Horncastle and his "Far Away" that brought me to meet and love Libera. Thank you! I love Robert Prizeman. After all, he’s the mastermind of all the magic and the wonder. (Tell me if you can't help but sing that last part.)

I love the fact that underneath their sacred-white robes, they're just as ordinary as the kids next door. God, I thought they were angels! I love watching videos of them playing around like ordinary kids. Eeek they ARE ordinary kids, Yuni! You just told it yourself! Lol. I love Kavana's brilliant public speaking ability. And his head shaking while singing. Entertaining! Hey, did I tell you that I love Josh Madine? Watch this video and you'll find out another reason why I love him.

I love the combination of Libera and rain. I love playing "Sancte" softly at nights and sleeping with it. Oh! "Going Home" by Michael H is also my favourite lullaby. I really love Anthony Chadney's part in "Voca Me". I adore his voice so much. I love the bouncy, jolly feeling I get while listening to "In Dulci Jubilo". I could listen to it forever and ever. And never get bored. Seriously.

I love doing an imaginary tap dance to "Exsultate"! The beat is perfect to do so. Haha. I love picturing sunburst every time the part of “Saaaaaaaaaaaaaanctus” plays - because I'm weird like that.

I love sharing Libera. I love the moment when I show Libera to my friends and they agree with me that this is the most beautiful sound they’ve ever heard. Scooore! I love finding people who share this mutual Libera-love with me. Let me tell you again, I love…really love people who love Libera as much as I do or even more. You rock! I love reading people's first Libera-discovery, first concert experience, or something like this one.

I love the exiciting feeling when Libera announces their tour or new album or video or anything. I love dreaming Libera is coming to my country. As much as I enjoy listening to their digital tracks, I love seeing their live performing. They are fantastic! I love that my “Finally I met them” moment turned out so amazingly wonderful. Ugh, need to meet them again! Like, SOON!

Last but not least, I really love writing this kind of post and sharing it with you guys, my Libera friends.

After 3 years absence of tour, Libera has made their comeback for two concerts to one of their biggest fan base, South Korea. I imagine, it would be pretty 'wild' there. And actually yes, it WAS crazy wild in South Korea. Lol. Both of venues in Bundang and Seoul were packed with enthusiastic people (look at the pics below). We can see Libera got so much loves there.

Still the same member as Taiwan Tour and also the same programme. BUT, in the second concert (Seoul concert), Libera has suprised the audience with one extra encore, Danny Boy, sung by Isaac. Here is a brief review of Danny Boy moment beautifully written by Patrick.

"Another highlight of tonight concert was for sure the "Danny Boy" sung by Isaac.
You have to imagine the deepest and largest possible stage. The boys are set in an big wide arc, we are during the encore, just after "The Moon". The light is just doing down for the boys to move for the "Libera" encore, but not tonight.
Tonight we saw a small silhouette quitting the arc and walk forward right to the central microphones, passed it, and walked till the edge of the stage. There was a white light locate right above him illuminated Isaac.

All the others remained in the arc, in the dark, several meters behind.

Total silence in the hall. 2500 persons were staring right to this 10 years old boy standing on the edge of the stage, hands clasped behind his back.
And then Isaac started to sing, by himself. No Robert to guide, no other singers around him, no noting. Just a little boy in the light in front of a crowd of 2500 persons.
Isaac sung "Danny Boy" a capella, all along the song, no music, no instruments, no chorus from the others.

Everyone in the public was stunned, so surprising, so cute, so moving....
Quickly my neighbour started to cry and I too got my eyes wet.
At the end of the song the public burst into very long yells, clapping, enthusiastic shouts !"

Can you feel the emotion and atmosphere at the time just by reading Patrick's review? Yes, I can. It felt like I was there, witnessing that magical moment. Oh, and I couldn't hold my tears while reading it. :') I think, Korean fans deserved this sweet surprise.

Libera also did meet and greet after the concert for signing. And boy, can you see the very long line for the signing? Wow!

We can say that the Korea tour was a success. Or in general, this Spring Tour in Asia was a big success. :D Congratulations, Libera! Hopefully, I can join Libera's next tour sometime somewhere. :)

After the concerts, Libera hold Meet and Greet with fans. There are only several boys representing Libera for signing. No photograph allowed during the Meet and Greet a.k.a signing. But, fans can still take some cheeky snaps from the outside. :)

Beside selling programme booklets, the concert organizer also sell some great Libera merchandise to bring home for fans. I think this is a brilliant idea. Fans absolutely love stuff like this, don't we?

Almost Show Time!

Libera, through Artemis Art, shared another greeting video to Taiwanese fans (see below). Yayy! Nano Ben and Cassius are representing Libera, inviting all fans to come to their concert. They speak in two languages: English and Chinese. Aww, it must be hard to learn to speak Chinese. But, I think they're doing a great job! Taiwanese fans must be thrilled to hear the boys speaking their language. By the way, I love the awkward silence in the end of the video. Lol. So funneh. xD

Ahh, the first show of this Spring Tour 2013 is only a few days away. To my surprise, Artemis Art - the organiser/promoter of Taiwan concerts already released the concert programme. :D Well, although the song list is similar to the St. George's concert last year in November and no new songs. But, I think it's not a big deal at all because it's their very first Taiwan concert ever and it's been awhile since their last visit in Korea. People must be really excited to hear them live in concert. Also there are so many great songs on the list. :D Isn't it exciting to hear, hopefully, new soloists?

As I said before, it's their first time having a show in Taiwan. To commemorate it, Libera is releasing Ave Maria - Asia Tour Exclusive Version for Taiwanese fans. Actually it's the same album as Ave Maria released by EMI Japan last November, still it's special for Taiwan. It'd be more special if they added the Moon song as well, in my opinion. The Moon Represents My Heart

You may have heard that Libera will be singing a Chinese song in their upcoming concerts. The song is a quite popular love-song called The Moon Represents My Heart (月亮代表我的心). You can hear the original version here. Today Artemis Art shared a video of Taiwanese TV news introducing Libera. In the video, it plays some parts of music video of the song. And yes, it's Libera's version! Oh-my-god, they sing it so beautifully. And when it came to Michael's solo, aw my heart just melted away. :')

I'm positive that they will definitely capture many hearts of Taiwanese by singing this song. I hope their Spring Tour 2013 in Asia will be a huge success. And oh yeah, I can't wait to hear the entire song and watch the full clip! Also if it's possible, I want to see the life version of it as well. Who's with me? :D

Korea Concerts 2013 Promo

Hi guys!

I want to share a promo video for Libera concerts in Korea from Seoul Arts Management - Korean organizer. They shared it on their blog, then Inna re-posted it on Youtube. Thank you Inna and SAM! Generally, it has the same pictures as Taiwan's video, but you can find Libera boys greeting fans in Korean there.

SAM also shared a few very adorable pictures of Cassius, Matthew M, Michael M, Dylan, and Ciaran. And they are NEW, everyone. Woohoo! I'm so in love with it. So cute, and delicious (I mean, the ice creams!). Yeah but why ice creams, anyway? Isn't ice cream a big NO during their Libera duties? Lol. Not Just Another Promotional Video

I was really happy when my eyes caught a new video from Libera on my YT timeline. Well, it was a promotional video for their Spring Tour 2013. Never thought I would be any happier until I actually clicked on it then BAM! It was not just a promotional video. It contained the footage from their very recent concert. Please, excuse me while I go dancing my infamous happy chicken dance at almost 6 AM here. Very very happy to finally see freshly familiar (and unfamiliar) faces of my favourite mini and not-so-mini people: singing and harmonizing, laughing and smiling, doing whatever they're doing at the time. And oh-em-gee do you guys see what I see at 00:41 - 00:44? Is that a hint for something or...? Okay, this is exciting! :D Ah, for sure it's such a lovely way to start my day. Thank you, Libera. And I wish you boys best of luck for this Spring Tour.

Firstly, there will be 26 boys performing for their upcoming Spring tour in Taiwan and South Korea. Wow! That was awesome that they actually told us about that. In this case, I'll let you guys use your psychic powers to see which boys would be among those 26 mysterious listed boys. Or how many newbies would be there. Hahaha. Kidding. Any guess, though?
