Many believed that Usain Bolt will not win this time and his fellow runner Johan Blake will get the gold, but Usain prove them all that they were wrong.

After the 100 meters game, he is now focused on depending his Beijing Gold medals in the 200 meters and 4×100 relay. Bolt aims to have an Olympic record of being the first runner in Olympic history to ever defend all three title.

Usain Bolt was quoted saying, “Without a doubt, hands down, [being at] the top is harder than anything else, When you get to the top, you know it’s good. You’re working and enjoying it. Sometimes you lose sight of what’s going on around you. Yeah, you know what it takes to get there, but sometimes you lose sight because everybody is praising you, everybody thinks you’re great and you’re doing well.”

According to the reports, the world’s greatest swimmer cruised through the anchor leg of the 4×200-meter freestyle relay for him to earn his record 19th career Olympic medal and 15th gold on Tuesday night, etching a place in history as the most decorated Olympian of all time.

“It has been a pretty amazing career but we still have a couple races to go,” he said.

And his remaining four days in the pool at the London Games are all about putting that mark even further out of reach. Phelps has three events to go — the 200 individual medley, the 100 butterfly and the 4×100 medley relay. He won’t be racing for a medal on yesterday, when he competes in the preliminaries and semifinals of the 200 IM.

But although pondering the possibilities is a bit silly, now that Phelps has gone past the record. Phelps took the silver in the 200M butterfly after being outpaced by South African Chad le Clos in the final gasp of the said race. (He just lost by 0.05 seconds).

Some commentators will argue the cases of track and field’s Carl Lewis, who missed an Olympics because of a U.S. boycott, or distance runner Paavo Nurmi, who won 12 medals. Some might argue for Bjorn Daehlie, the Norwegian cross-country skier. And there’s gymnast Larisa Latynina, whose 18 medals are now second all time.

Today, July 29, 2012, Wu Minxia and He Zi won the women’s synchronized 3m springboard event. Wu’s gold medal is her third successive Olympic title. According to bbc.co.uk, Wu and He scored 346.20. Kelci Bryant & Abigail Johnston from United states took the silver and Jennifer Abel & Emilie Heymans  from Canada got the bronze.

Britain’s representative Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg, finished seventh of eight.

According to Blagg, the compulsories [first two dives] were probably the best they’ve ever done so they were really happy with their performance.

Blagg hopes to have more games in the future to improve with the dives where she is not confident. On the other hand, Gallantree, who was also present in 2008 Beijing Games, will return to action on Friday, August 3,2012, in the individual competition.

As of this writing, China has 6 Gold medals, 2 Silver Medals and 2 bronze Medals and they are leading the medal tally for the 2012 Olympics on the 2nd Day.

It was a dramatic performance for the team Italy as the game ended for 219-218 win for Frangili, Mauro Nespoli and Marco Galiazzo against the team of Bradfy Ellison, Jacob Wuki and Jake Kaminski.

The Italian gave an impressive and surprise in the competition after the favourites, Republic of Korea lost 224-219 to the USA in the semi-finals.

Thereof, the USA grabbed the silver while the Korean finished with bronze to overtake the Mexico.

According to the reports, Frangilli was overjoyed after the Victory Ceremony and it shows on the culmination of an Olympic story that began with his bronze in Atlanta.

‘This was a very hard fought medal, I’ve been chasing it for 16 years,’ he said.

‘It is a dream come true. It is a very strong emotion and to score 10 with the last arrow, that is the dream.

‘I knew I needed a 10 and I felt incredible pressure so I decided to empty my head of everything. I tried to give all I had to give. When I heard ’10′ I was excited.

‘I have no words to describe what I feel. When we came here we were not sure if it was possible.’

Earlier, the Great Britain’s hopes of the a spot in men’s archery team medal ended up when they were beaten by a strong force of the Ukraine team in the first round.

Lochte, a 27-year-old American, won the first final at the Aquatics Centre in 4 minutes, 5.18 seconds. The event includes 100 meters each of butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Lochte led from the start and extended his advantage after the second leg. He won by 3.68 seconds.

“Going into these games I always knew I was capable of getting the win so I’m happy that I was able to do that,” Lochte told reporters.

Thiago Perreira, 26, of Brazil took the silver and Kosuke Hagino, 17, of Japan won the bronze.

Park, the Olympic champion in Beijing, whom have been previously reported being disqualified for false start has successfully filed his appealed. The Korean Swimming Federation lodged a protest that was upheld by the technical commission of FINA, international swimming’s governing body.

China took the gold at  women’s 400-meter individual medley in a world-record time of 4:28.43 by  Shiwen Ye. As of this time,  Shiwen Ye set a new world record in the Olympics.

Australia’s team of Alicia Coutts, Cate Campbell, Brittany Elmslie,18, and Melanie Schlanger, 25, won the women’s 400-meter freestyle relay in an Olympic-record 3:33.15. The Netherlands, 2008 champion, took the silver medal and the U.S. the bronze.

Campbell, 20, will also take part in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle. Coutts, 24, is swimming in the 200-meter individual medley in two days.

Yi recorded a score of 502.9 from ten shots and Poland’s Sylwia Bogacka, grabbed the silver with 502.2. Yi’s co player Yu Dan took the bronze, 0.7 points adrift.

The show was so stunning with full of spectacle and extravagant. The highlight of the Oscar-winning director’s $42 million show was pure movie magic, using trickery to make it seem that Britain’s beloved 86-year-old Queen Elizabeth II had parachuted into the stadium with Britain’s most famous spy.

The opening ceremony started with a short filmed showing 007 driving up to Buckingham Palace in a black London can followed by royal dogs, meeting the queen, who played herself.

“Good evening, Mr. Bond,” she said.

They were then shown in a helicopter, the queen is in a melon-colored gown, he in a black tuxedo — that flew them over London landmarks to the stadium and then jumping out in the inky night.

Apparently, on the same moment, the skydivers appeared in the skies over the stadium then the monarch appeared in person, accompanied by her husband Prince Philip.

Elizabeth stood solemnly while a children’s choir serenaded her with “God Save the Queen,” and members of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force raised the Union Jack.

The ceremony that takes place at 4 PM Eastern Time will be played at 7:30 PM Eastern for most of America. Olympic fans will have to wait even longer on the West Coast, where the ceremony won’t be played until 7:30 PM Pacific Time.

It was never our intent to live stream the Opening or Closing Ceremony. They are complex entertainment spectacles that do not translate well online because they require context, which our award-winning production team will provide for the large prime time audiences that gather together to watch them. We will be providing clips and highlights of each ceremony online so viewers know what to look forward to in prime time on NBC.

However,  All 32 sports and 302 medals will be shown live via the internet. They will also provide clips and highlights online before the broadcast.

The opening ceremony have started and still ongoing at this time. It seems that our previous report is correct, the nurses and the appearance of the queen have just completed.

The opening ceremony were also reported to cost 27 million-pound ($42.3 million) and organizers want it to be a secret so that all viewers can be surprised. Although there were some disclosure made by director Danny Boyle such as Real farm animals on meadows; plows and maypoles; an idyllic picture of England as the “green and pleasant land;” a dance number featuring nurses and a closing song by McCartney the totality of the ceremony is still unknown.

Many reports are expecting to see a pre-recorded segment filmed inside Buckingham Palace featuring actor Daniel Craig as James Bond, and a stuntman dressed as 007 who will parachute into the stadium to start the show.

For sure it will be an exciting event of the year.
