It occurred to me that it wasn&#8217;t Tuscany, that the light was familiar but not of that latitude and that the worn quality of the stone and wood was still not old, at least not in my memory of the back-roads outside of Sienna. On the other hand, fresh baked bread and strong coffee is universal regardless of what the foodies and the New York Times Food Section has to say, or more precisely, timeless, if you have just run some miles in the hills south of town, you&#8217;re hungry and cold, and the rest of the day is waiting.</p>

Trapped inside, the town hunkered down. Rode it out. Some days, here on the winter flight path in the Northwest where I live, the chevron flights pass overhead, honkin' and "a racin' on before the snow"... and I get an urge for going, but at very long last, I have no need to go.]]></description>
