Students will be doing several activities to help them learn the cell parts and their function. Students need to be able to identify the organelles in a diagram and tell their functions. We have taken notes with all this information and it should be studied nightly. Students were given a formative assessment last Friday 1/20 and if their score was 93 or above they will not have to test on that material again. (electricity). The students know who they are. There will be a unit test on the same material plus magnets and electromagnets on Tuesday 1/31. Students who are exempt from the electricy content will just be quizzed on magnets and electromagnets. Students should study from their journal and from the formative assessment that was handed back to them.<br>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">This will be for the auction winner plus 3 guests. Bring pictures and basic scrapbook supplies and we will create beautiful memories. Snack provided.  Approximately 2 hours of fun in the classroom after school.  Date and time to be worked out between teachers and parents.</p>
<p>The Gala Auction will be held February 4, 2012 at Olde Towne Athletic Club from 7 to 11 PM. <p>The proceeds will be used to improve our school by providing funding for programs such as technology, educational curriculum and facility improvements. The GMEF will accumulate and distribute resources beyond those provided by Cobb County or the PTA, in order to further enhance, foster and enrich the educational experiences of all students at Garrison Mill.</p>

<p>It was such a pleasure to witness the amount of knowledge the students gained through the learning process while completing their science fair projects. The students clearly demonstrated a thorough understanding of the scientific process and science inquiry standards. We are blessed to have parental support of this process. We would like to thank Mrs. Haas in the Media Center for giving up her space for two days and the independent judges from Lasstier Science Honor Society who spent hours judging the projects. It will help with the traffic on Wednesday morning in the car pool line. If you cannot bring your project after school on Tuesday please arrive earlier rather than later on Wednesday if you are driving in. I think the projects should be ok on the bus too.<br>

If you bring the project on Tuesday after school please bring it to room 401 and leave outside the door, I will be in a meeting.<br>
