I've managed to get some scripts on eBay. Still with the 'prilmitive' system; some nice people helped me out with the instructions to QuickPayPro, but I haven't had time to study them yet. Next week will have to do...

Anyway, I've managed to get them on eBay. But there's more: I even managed to sell a few... Now I have to start deciding what more to sell on eBay. I'm trying to find out what sells good, but it's pretty unpredictable. Sometimes a piece of software is priced $25, a week later (or earlier) it's there for $0.99. And the strangest part is... they both get sold!

I'm close to getting everthing back to work again...
It's about time!

In the meantime (I had to have some destraction sometimes), Ive been working on setting up to sell digital goods on eBay. My system should be working fine now. Now, the issue is what to put there, and how to price it. It's more difficult than I thought it would be...
It was kind of a hassle, setting up a system that did what I wanted it to do. But last night I thought I had found a solution: QuickPayPro. It's an eBusiness Automation System, including an affiliate program for you to set up. Just what I was looking for! So I bought one (through eBay). But when I checked it, it had no instructions on how to set it up, and since I know nothing about MSQL and stuff (my hosts don't support it), I couldn't find out how to get it working. The seller understood what I was going through and refunded my money. So I bought another one, after I first asked the seller if instructions were included. Strange thing was... I couldn't open the file. We can't figger out what's wrong...

So, until I find a solution (or buy another script ), the primitive system will have to do.

Looking for a retro template, and more...

I'm so tired...

I've been up all night, staring at my screen, first looking for a way to give this page a bit more 'retro'-look, later searching for info on how to make my own Blogger template. And after hours and hours of work, I've got ... nothing really. So, I'll probably spend my day working on it and on all the other stuff that has to be done. 30°C, and I'm sitting here, worrying about how my blog looks. And the funniest thing is, I actually don't mind being inside, 'working'. I really enjoy my addiction to this stupid machine! :-)

So, if you have an idea on
- where to find a tutorial on making a template for Blogger
- where to find a cool retro template
Please let me know!

(It has to be free, though, I haven't invested a single cent into my sites until now, and I really want to keep it that way.)

Before I started freaking out about the looks of this blog, I was trying to find out about selling eBooks on eBay. Fact is, I have had the opportunity to fill my hard disk with eBooks and software (lots of them with resell and master resale rights), worth thousands of dollars. I've started downloading like a lunatic, writing to one cd-rom after another ( I don't mind the stuff being on my harddisk, but my PC gives me problems from time to time, and it wouldn't be the first time my harddisk crashed and I lost everything that was on it.)
Now I have to start categorizing all that stuff - hell of a job, believe me!
I've noticed that some eBooks sell pretty well at eBay, and I've decided to give it a try.

According to all those fancy eBay eBooks, research is the mother of a good eBay-sell. So, good girl that I am, I decided to listen to their tips, doing it their way, instead of my own. After all, they are the ones earning loads of cash, while I'm still at the 'couple of dollars' level. It's hard to admit, but maybe, only maybe, they are right.

After seeing thousands of auctions, I still wasn't sure I completely understood how the system worked. Best way to find out? Becoming a buyer. About two weeks ago, I had re-written a private label rights aricle about getting started on eBay. Who would have thought I would be using those 'skills' less than two weeks after I wrote them down?!

Here's what I'm talking about:

It’s very important that you get familiar with the way things work on eBay. That’s why most successful eBay sellers start out as a buyer. This way you can study how eBay works, from a customers point of view. Believe it or not, this will actually make you a much better eBay seller - right from the very start!

When buying, pay attention to the customer service you receive from the seller. Question yourself: how do you want to be treated as a customer? Make a list of customer services you like, make another list of customer services that you think are superfluous or even irritating. So after buying 2 eBooks I was really interested in (but I'll tell you about them some other time), I decided I had spend enough time researching. Time for my favourite part of the game: experimenting.I wanted to put up my own eBay auction. So I did! I'm not really satisfied with the result (how the hell do I get a picture inside the auction text?), but it's good enough for this experiment.

(I just went to the auction page to see how many visits the page has had since yesterday - and to be honest, until now, it has been very poor. P.S.: It just struck to me: I bought those eBooks on eBay, because I was doing research. This means my previous statement was a lie. In fact, I've invested a total sum of $1,25 in my sites.

It's pretty hard to find useful info/articles about retro collectibles. Or maybe I'm looking for it in the wrong places....
There are lots of sites about eBay, so I don't want to make this an all-eBay blog (of course we'll have eBay topics, after all, eBay is an imoprtant part of our business).
