So, here is my Frankfurt haul! This isn't everything I bought but I figured showing you 10 different tights from Primark or 5 Mango deodorants (yes, I went kind of crazy, but it's a limited edition...) etc. would be kind of boring.

Also, it was day 1 of my 30 days vegan challenge today and it was great! Luisa and I went a bit shopping (again) and had pizza. Mine was without cheese of course and it actually was really delicious, but I'll show you the things I am eating during the challenge in a video at the end of every week. :)

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter #2

As probably many of you know: I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter last year which was absolutely amazing.

The rumors of an extension of the Universal Studio theme park were recently confirmed and that totally makes me want to got there again, so I thought I'd browse through my photos that I took that day and show you a few more.

Has anybody else of you ever been there?

And yes, shame on me. I still have tons of photos of the Leavesden Studios which I visited in January. I haven't even looked through them yet...

First of all: Thank you for all the nice comments on the last post! :)

As I already told you, Luisa and I went shopping in Frankfurt today. We bought many many awesome things and if you want me to do a small haul, let me know!

Also I am kind of curious on which site you follow my Blog. Do you use the Google-Reader, Bloglovin, Blog-Connect etc. or do you just saved my URL in your browser's favorites?

And last but not least, I am not sure if I mentioned it before: I created an ask.fm account quite some time ago and if you ever feel like asking me something just go ahead!

30 Days Vegan Challenge

Well guys, I guess I joined the bandwagon!

I am going to attempt to eat vegan for a whole months starting on Monday. Actually I don't think it is going to be that hard for me because I am Pescetarian (Sorry, can't resist Sushi!) and most of the things I cook are vegan but I definitely shouldn't underestimate my project. Even though my main meals are pretty healthy I still stuff myself with a lot of crap. There's always a candy bar or some ice cream right around the corner and I just can't say no to all these treats (My favorite chocolate bar actually is vegan, so thumbs up for the Moser Roth 85% which you can get at Aldi and yes, it is available in the USA as well). That's pretty much the main reason why I want to challenge myself. School lunch is not going to be a problem because we actually have quite a nice salad bar and as I already told you: Most of the meals I cook are without any products coming from animals. Also I love tofu and basically any soy food. The only day of the week that I'm actually quite afraid of is Sunday because I am surrounded by delicious cakes and pastries which are obviously not vegan at all for the whole day at work. Today I combed the product information for anything that I will be able to eat and I actually found out that my favorite bread is completely without dairy products or eggs etc.

However, I am definitely going to update you how the challenge is going. I am actually thinking about one video per week where I just show some of the stuff I ate. How do you like the idea?

And please write me in the comments below if you are vegetarian or vegan and if you've ever tried a challenge like that! :)

By the way, I went to the hair dresser for the first in in three years yesterday and I got bangs. Again. I've always worn a fringe but when I was about 16 I got rid of it. Well, I'm not quite sure wether I really like it or not.

Also, Luisa and I are going to visit Frankfurt tomorrow and I am so excited!

Well hello there, Spring! I've been waiting for you!

I snapped these two pictures at our train station today after school and the weather is just so awesome at the moment. Spring is definitely my favorite season because I don't really like hot weather but I don't like winter either and of course I love all of the flowers which are starting to bloom.

Also, I wanted to share a music album with you that I've been waiting on for literally ages, so I'm extremely excited and I absolutely love it. I've always been a person who prefers female voices over male ones even though I love Alt-J, The Kooks, Phoenix etc. (The list is pretty endless) but I still think that female voices just have a nicer sound. I mean out of all the bands I've seen live, Florence Welch definitely has the best voice I've ever heard (Haley Williams is pretty incredible, too and The XX are absolutely brilliant live as well).

So if you have any music recommendations for me (preferably female singers), then please tell me, because I'm always on the search for great music and you probably got an idea of what kind of music I like to listen to.

And if you're into the same music as I am (most of you probably are) then definitely check out "Secondhand Rapture" by MS MR.

April Favourites

The last weeks have been extremely stressful: Lots and lots of exams, work and hours and hours of practicing our theatre play which will be performed tomorrow, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday (If anybody wants to see me wearing really sexy 80ies jeans, that's your chance).
Nevertheless, I decided to show you my April favorites:

Obviously I love my cats, so they're definitely favorites. Also, I bought the Mac "Bare Study" Paintpot while I was in Munich and I highly recommend it if you've been looking for a very sheer silvery rosy colour.
The "One Ginger Morning" shower gel is the best I ever had. The smell is gorgeous; it smells exactly like "Brauseflummis" (One of my favorite candy and I really don't know how to describe it) and it is just what I need on an early morning. Actually the color is bright green.
If you've read the novel "Before I die" you should definitely see "Now it's good". I don't really understand why they changed the title but the movie is pretty good. Not as good as the book though but I think you'd still like it. Some scenes are quite slow and it kind of bothered me that I already knew what'll happen in the end but I still think it's definitely worth watching especially because Dakota Fanning plays the main character and Kaya Scodelario is in it as well.
Then I ordered these awesome Doctor Who fairy lights. I just hung them up today and I thankfully had a converter for German sockets because I got them in an US online shop.
Last but not least, one of the things that I've been doing a lot (not really enjoying though, so that's not actually a favorite) was taking pictures for my school's yearbook. Yes, I am extremely cool because I'm not even in 13th grade yet. Well, not really but I thought I'd do it anyways.

I hope all of you German people had an awesome 1st of May and I really hope that I'm going to be able to post a little bit more as soon as the exam phase is finally over!

We shot the Portrait pictures for our yearbook this morning which involved tons of confetti and these are two pictures I snapped during our photo session.

I don't really find any time or inspiration to blog at the moment. There's just too much going on lately which keeps me really busy. Well, you know, just the usual: exams and exams and even more exams and so on. Nevertheless, I still have a couple of pictures that I shot at a wedding-eve party about two weeks ago which I'm going to show you soon.

Another thing that I've been spending quite a bit of time on is doing research on colleges and universities. Even though I'm only in 12th grade yet, the applications for photography colleges are quite early because of the portfolio you have to send in. As far as my research goes there aren't really a lot of unis that I would like to attend and also all the different degrees etc. really confuse me.

However, I hope you're all enjoying the few first days of spring!

Zara Tiger Sweater

As probably many of you I completely fell in love when I first saw the Kenzo Tiger Sweater and I've been digging it ever since. Apparently I'm a student and I rather spend my money on less expensive or more important things than a designer sweater and it's been sold out since forever anyways, so the chance of ever owning one is pretty utopian.

Also I'm not a big fan of clothes that are obviously a little too inspired by designer brands (like this H&M sweater) and I wouldn't wear anything fake which I've also seen on some blogs.

Of course I've already completely dismissed the idea of ever finding something similar to the Kenzo sweater that I'd be okay with wearing because it doesn't look fake or cheap etc. when I stumbled across this Tiger sweater at Zara in Munich. I think it is perfect because well, yes, there is a big tiger on it but I don't think that the fact that this sweater is kind of inspired by Kenzo is too overwhelming, so I didn't hesitate and bought it. They also sell the sweater in white and they both cost 40€.

So if you've been loving the Kenzo sweater as well, you should definitely go to Zara and check this one out!

Munich

I went to Munich for a few days together with some friends. It was my third time there, so I didn't really take a lot of photos because it's not really that exciting anymore. We spent our first day shopping (being from the country side, we had to use a navigation app to actually find the stores we wanted to go to; yes, we're officially losers now), drank a beer at the "Hofbräuhaus" later on and had some cocktails at the Hardrock Cafe. On our second day we went shopping again, visited the "Stadtmusem" which I highly recommend, I especially loved the 70ies fashion exhibition, met up with Alex who I hadn't seen in ages, ate the biggest pizza I ever had and wandered around the city at night.

We all had a fun time, even though the weather was pretty awful. In the part of Germany where I'm from the snow had already melted and as soon as we got to Bavaria the whole landscape was covered in snow.

The first week of my break is almost over and I hope you're all enjoying your time off! Well, I'm going to have to work on Sunday, so I won't really celebrate Easter. Nevertheless, I wish y'all a Happy Easter!

My broken 50mm

I wanted to share an awesome online tutorial with you which explains how to fix a "stuck focus" on the Canon EF 50mm 1.4 USM lens. Mine must've broken on the plane quite some time ago because I hadn't used in ages. When I picked it up again last December the focus was kind of stuck and I couldn't get it to work. I was devastated because this lens has been my companion for a couple of years now, it helped me manage the most complicated situations and, well it's just my favorite. Also, I didn't have the money for a new one and the warranty has long been expired. It took me a bit of time to actually find that tutorial because it's not the first one to pop up on google.

Despite the fact that I thought I would never get it to work again I tried to fix my lens yesterday and it surprisingly worked! The whole process of taking it completely apart, fixing the plastic ring that broke and putting it back together took me about 2 hours. My uncle had to borrow me his tools because I obviously don't have any; I've never tried to repair any electronic device before.

However, if the focus ring of your 50mm ever gets stuck, you should definitely check out the tutorial I used because it may save you 320€!

On a side note: I'm going to Munich with a couple of friends next week, so I'm definitely going to have some photos to share with you guys afterwards!

Eigentlich fand' ich die Idee einer eigenen Facebookseite immer sehr fremd. Schon alleine der Begriff "Fanpage" löst bei mir einen Würgereiz aus. Ich bin ein ganz normales Mädel vom Dorf, was ganz gerne fotografiert. Ich habe keine Fans; Ich bin schließlich kein Popstar. Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich mir nach langem zögern und überlegen heute doch eine Facebookseite für meinen Blog bzw. meine Fotos eingerichtet, da es unter Umständen irgendwann mal etwas praktisch sein könnte.

Wenn ihr also mögt, dann dürft ihr gerne auf den hübschen "gefällt mir"-Button klicken. Darüber würde ich mich natürlich sehr freuen.

(Mal nebenbei, ich habe erst im Photoshop bemerkt, dass bei den DvDs irgendwo die ersten beiden High School Musical Filme dabei sind. Haha, sehr peinlich. Weiß auch nicht, wie die da hingekommen sind...)

Actually I always really disliked the idea of a facebook page. Especially the term "Fanpage" is something I would never ever use. I am an ordinary girl from the German country side who likes to take pictures. I don't have fans. I am not famous for anything. Nevertheless, after over thinking the matter again and again, I finally came to the conclusion to create a Facebookpage for my blog and my photos. Maybe it's going to be of some kind of use in the future.

I would be happy if you'd give my page a like.

(On a side note: I discovered the two first High School musical movies in the photo when I opened it in Photoshop. That's slightly embarrassing. No idea how they got there...)

Luna

Do you still remember when I first got Luna in August of 2011? She was the cutest little thing on earth. All kittens are I suppose. You could fit her in one hand and she was just tiny.

Well, she became a pretty big lady. Not "big" in the meaning of "well rounded"; she's still as slim as she was when we adopted her because she is absolutely crazy and doesn't stop running around for a second.

When I got back home today she was laying in the sun on my couch and I obviously couldn't resist taking a few pictures of her.

My Daily Makeup Routine

I always enjoy posts of other people's favorite makeup and I thought I'd do one myself.

The most products I use are high end. I got into using more expensive cosmetics when I was 16 and bought a Mac MSF Natural and a Mac Concealer. When I was almost 17 I bought the Mac "Ramblas Red" lipstick which I still use and that totally convinced me to invest a little more money into better makeup.

I've had most of the products below for quite a long time already and these are really just my favorites and things I use on a daily basis. Sometimes I use more and sometimes I use less but you'll probably never see me leaving the house without mascara!

However, here we go, that's my daily makeup routine:

Left: Mac Beauty Balm, Mac Brush No. 182, Mac Studio Finish Concealer NW20, Mac Select Moisturecover Concealer NW20, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Medium

All of these products are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them. I don't use Concealer everyday because it's not really necessary. The Beautybalm and the Mac MSF are definitely products I could never live without. I've had the BB for about 1 1/2 years now and there's still a pretty big amount left in it. I haven't tried any similiar products though because I am absolutely satisfied with this one. As I already told you, the Mac MSF Natural was the very first high end product I bought and I actually hit the pan about a year ago, so I bought a new one. My skin is pretty flawless (that's probably not the right word to use but I couldn't think of a better one), so these products don't have a lot of coverage, just the right amount for my skin.

Right: Nars Orgasm, Catrice Colour Bomb, Benefit Coralista, Bobbi Brown Plum Wine, Alverde Peach, Alverde Berry, Mac Blush Brush 129

Well, there isn't a lot that I can say about this category except that I absolutely love Blushes. The Alverde Berry Blush was my very first one and I still love it to death. The Benefit Coralista blush was actually my absolutely favorite one that I used everyday but then I hit the pan and bought the Nars Orgasm and since then I've hardly used it which is quite a shame.

Sadly, I am not into fancy eye makeup. I'm just not skilled enough and everytime I try, my face ends up with eyeshadow everywhere, so I just use very simple but awesome products like Paintpots. My favorite one is the Mac Rubenesque and I wear it everyday.

Right: Mac Rich Ground, Mac Blitz & Glitz, Mac Blacktrack

Geleyeliners aren't something that I use daily but I thought I'd also include them in this post. The Mac Rich Ground is my favorite and I use a Kosmetik Kosmo Eyeliner Elke as a brush.

Left: Victoria's Secret Faceprime

This is a product I wouldn't want to miss for the world. I always use it after I've applied all of the products above and it makes my makeup stay in place during the whole day or even crazy party nights.

Right: Essence Multi Action Mascara

I've tested quite a few mascaras, even the Chanel Inimitable, but I actually think that the Essence Multi Action is the best. For all of you who aren't from Germany and are not familiar with this brand: It's pretty much the cheapest makeup brand available and the mascara costs about 2€.

I had to weat a costume to work today and of course I chose my Hermione costume!

For all of my international readers: It's "Fasching" aka carnival here in Germany right now which means pretty much everybody drinks and partys wearing costumes and on Monday there are parades in almost every town/city. I think that is actually a Catholic tradition but since I'm not Catholic I don't really know. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

However, I work in a bakery that sells "Kräppel" which is kind of the traditional pastry that you eat for "Fasching", so we all dress up on Saturday, Sunday and on Monday. As I already told you, I was Hermione today and my plan for tomorrow is to wear my football jersey and to pad the shoulders, so I look like a big, buff guy.

So, if you are from Germany, you celebrate something similiar at the moment, or you're just really into costumes: What did / will / would you choose as your costume?

On a side note: No, I am not into ironing my clothes and the cardigan on the first picture is a Gryffindor Cardigan I got at the Leavesden Studios in November (I'll post some pictures as soon as Apple delivers my iMac).

Somehow I was looking through my gallery on Deviantart earlier today and I decided to show you a few pretty old photographs that I took.

The oldest one is from August 2009, that was when I kind of got into photography and I just explored my Canon Eos 450D that I got for my birthday. The oldest one was taken in October 2010. Even though I had a crappier camera as I use now I think I had way more fun just going outside and snapping a few pictures (most of the time I didn't even know what I was doing) because I quit doing that a long time ago.

Doctor Who?

If you follow my Tumblr you probably already know that I am a huge fan of Doctor Who. I started watching Season 5 about 1 1/2 years ago and I absolutely fell in love with it. If you're familiar with the series you know that it's basically about a man in a box who travels through time and space together with his companions but I think it's way more than that: I think it is more about friendship than anything else and that is absolutely great about it. I've never been interested in Science Fiction or anything like that but I still enjoy Doctor Who a lot. As I already told you, I started with season 5 and I think that your "first" Doctor will always be "your" Doctor, so Matt Smith is the absolutely best in my opinion. Of course I don't know all the others, I mean there have been 11 different Doctors and according to Wikipedia there have been 790 episodes over the past 50 years. Before "The Angels of Manhatten" happened (I don't want to spoil anything for the people who might consider watching DW) I wasn't really interested in watching Season 1-4 but now that Steven Moffat slaughtered some of my favorite characters I started Season 1 and I'm currently watching Season 2 Episode 4. David Tennant is really great but the most of Season 1 was pretty boring, so if you want to start watching Doctor Who I'd recommend to either start with Matt Smith as the Doctor or to try really hard to make it through Season 1 because it will definitely be worth it, even though you'll probably be like "wtf" all the time because most of the things just don't make any sense. But hey, it's a weird TV show about a mad man in box fighting a bunch of creepy aliens, so it's really not supposed to make any sense.

Furthermore, I found this absolutely awesome Tardis mug in a little store near Covent Garden in London and I also got a shirt a while back at Hottopic.

For me, Doctor Who is one of the best TV shows ever and if you haven't tried it yet, please check it out.

Soja Chai Latte in 3 Minuten

Ein leckerer Soja Chai Latte gehört für mich zu den abosluten Lieblingsgetränken in der Winterzeit. Die ist ja nun leider (oder wohl eher zum Glück) vorbei, aber ich wollte euch mein super schnelles und einfaches Rezept trotzdem noch zeigen. Mich hat es eine gefühlte Ewigkeit gekostet, bis ich die perfekte Rezeptur raushatte und habe probiert und probiert. Wer mehr Zeit hat, oder den Sirup, den ich hier benutze, nicht im Geschäft bekommt, dem lege ich das Rezept von Daaruum ans Herz. Habe ich auch schon ausprobiert und es schmeckt ebenfalls ganz ganz wunderbar.

Für meinen Soja Chai Latte braucht ihr:

Sojamilch und einen Milchaufschäumer:

Natürlich könnt ihr auch normale Milch usw. nehmen, aber ich habe die Erfahrung gemacht, dass die Sojamilch sich bei einem Handaufschäumer besser schäumen lässt. Wie das bei einem elektrischen ist, kann ich euch leider nicht sagen. Meinen Handmilchaufschäumer ist übrigens von Amazon, war sehr billig, funktioniert aber trotzdem super.

Lebkuchensirup:

Habe ich im Herkules gefunden. Nachdem ich überall nach einem Chai Sirup gesucht habe, ist mir dieser hier ins Auge gesprungen und er eignet sich vorzüglich. Ich weiß nicht, ob es auch von anderen Marken Alternativen hierzu gibt. Das kleinere Fläschchen kostet um die 3€ und reicht wirklich lange.

Schwarzer Tee:

Da könnt ihr natürlich auch irgendwelchen anderen schwarzen Tee nehmen, das muss nicht der von Alnatura sein. Für das Rezept brauchen wir außerdem nur einen Teebeutel.

So wird's gemacht:

1. Teebeutel aufgießen, das Glas aber nur mit ca. 1/3 heißem Wasser füllen.

2. Milch erhitzen und aufschäumen, bis an den Rand hinzugeben.

3. Zum Schluss macht ihr je nach Geschmack so viel Sirup rein, wie ihr möchtet.

Und das war's eigentlich schon. Ist ganz einfach, dauert wirklich nur 3 Minuten und schmeckt super lecker. (Im besten Fall saut ihr dabei nicht den ganzen Tisch mit Sirup voll, so wie ich das hinbekommen habe.)
