Hadn't really seen this show, but obviously the title of this episode peeked my interest. Being sorta into submission, least mostly just online for now, but could possible carry over to real time at some time, the title caught my eye and started to watch it.

The episode wasn't to bad overall, and the part with the two officers questioning the Domme's about the murder where the one uses a crop and "asks" to have her laces on her boots undone was priceless. The control aspect was exciting.

Follow Up: H1N1 and AIDs

I got a reply to my message,

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate others who show interest in these matters! As of May 3 this year there where just under 900 confirmed cases of H1N1 and I'm sure many since May! This number was ONLY 10 days into the outbreak. Regardless, my point was that of concern for both H1N1 and HIV/AIDS. We should not be so quick to minimize one to make the point of another..I agree whole heartedly about the lack of education for sexually transmited diseases..to my point, again I state that condoms do NOT ensure that one does not contract HIV! It does reduce the likleyhood of contracting HIV but only certain types if condoms..this is directly stated by the CDC! As for the Pope you are 100% correct !!!!!

The main point of what Rena has posted to her profile wasn't so much the downplay of one disease over another, its that more people would dawn a medical mask in fear of H1N1 then people who would wear condoms.

As far as condoms go, I'm aware that there may be other types that have been used, but the most common and most effective type is a latex condom. Won't find much else for them now of days. While using one alone will not ensure you don't contact HIV, its with knowledge of how the disease is transmited and how to properly use a condom that one can nearly 100% make sure that they don't contract HIV, but of course there are other things to be aware of aside from just proper condom usages, such as cuts and so on. Course only 100% effect way to provent any STDs is to not have sex.

Anyways my main problem was with the way you put it, and yes Condoms don't 100% guarantee protection, but they are a extremely important tool. Saying condoms do not ensure is to much like saying they aren't effective. I believe its mainly the choice of wording I had issue with.

The Good news with HIV/AIDS though is a couple facilities have now found ways that seem to be stopping HIV in its tracts from becoming full blown AIDs so we are reaching a day when there may finally be a cure for it.

H1N1 I'll just add is a relatively new strand for the flew and will take us awhile to see how resilient this strand is. So far the disease hasn't shown to be to devastating, there haven't been that many deaths to it. More then usual for flew season certainly, but it is newer.

Apparently rena deleted the message so I was unable to reply to the message there, you commented "First of all there are many more than 90 people who have been infected with the H1N1 virus." since the post was from a app that people have contributed to, its possible that there was only 90 known cases at the time or the person just picked a random number.

However numebers aside it doesn't change that the number of people contracted with HIV/AIDs grows to worst and worst numbers each year for no better reason then poor information that is handed around about safe sex practices.

Actually when condoms are used correctly and people know enough about having safe sex, it does prevent someone from contracting HIV. Its sad that so much of the world is not as well informed about safe sex practices and there are people like the current pope going to Africa, a place with the highest population affected with HIV/AIDS and purposely spread mis-information cause of some twisted religious ideals.

the American Life League released a video in which they talk about how bad the International Planned Parenthood Sexual rights piece is suppose to be. I have a feeling they have blown it well out of proportion but I haven't actually read it yet. If you like to read it you can find it on the IPPF website titled Sexual Rights: an IPPF declaration. I've skimmed over the pdf and it seems that pretty much is the case.

Don't know why some people get upset over giving people the rights they should already enjoy. Gay, lesbians, transsexuals, ect should have their basic freedoms respected just like the rest of us. Found it funny that he brought up what pastors say in church and how it might be conceived as hate speech..guess what, it basically already is.

Leviticus 20:13 (“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”)

Sounds pretty much like hate speech to me.

Facebook Dislike Button and Social Networking

I woke up this morning, to see that some people on my Facebook have become fans of the Dislike button page. My instant reaction to the idea of a dislike button being added was quite negative. I don't see the point of someone logging to see however many of their friends have clicked they dislike something they posted.

I would like to see more people actually click they like on some things i post, but i don't really mind if they don't. But in the interest of social networking, it seems like it would just be better if you don't like something that you saw, click the comment field and type what you didn't like about it, or contact the person directly if you don't want other people to see your comment.

I could see people using dislike buttons as just a way to heckle people and offer nothing all that constructive, and already it seems social networking online is not all that its should be. I'm just as guilty as some in that i don't always leave comments or communicate with the people who i'm friends with. But I've been trying somewhat to keep in touch with people a bit more and comment on things.

Seems like with apps on Facebook, people spend more time messing with the apps then actually talking to one another, what do you all think?

Death penalty

Have read a couple things on facebook now that had to do with the
death penalty, and up till recently I've more or less have been in
support of it. After thinking more about it though I have decided that
no, I can, I can not support the death penalty.

I've decided this for a few reasons. One of the main reasons is that a
fair number of times a person put to death is found to be innocent.
Another being according to some information posted by the ACLU this
morning is that there is a racial problem of those giving the death
penalty. The greatest number of those sentenced to death are for
murders where the victim is white, and not nearly as often as when the
victim is black.

The other reason is just simply that is condoning murder, no matter
the reason. So I am now changing my stance on the death penalty and
will support putting a end to the practice.

It just has been something that I never really took the time to think
much about till now.

Reading some recent blog post, and listening to some podcast such as Kink on Tap. You will find that even today the acceptance of people withing the LGBT is still rather poor at best. Even with the movement of more states in the United States of America, there is still such a lack of knowledge about people in the LGBT community, and as to why it should be important why our young people should be taught about these kinds of people.

Saying that elementary is to young to start teaching kids about those that fall under the labels of the LGBT community is like saying that a mostly white school shouldn't learn about black people and to be tolerant of them. Their are more differences between people then just skin color and male or female. No one is necessarily endorsing teaching kids to much about sex in elementary schools, but giving that young people are engaging in sexual acts at even younger ages, its perhaps better to teach them a fair bit.

Kids need to least be aware that sometimes their are guys who like other guys, sometimes their are women that like other women, and sometimes their are those that even like both somewhat equally. They also need to know that their are men who dress like women and women who dress like men out their and no one should be made to feel bad about their personal preferences.

Its high time that everyone as a society finds ways to celebrates the diversity of people on this planet. To be more open to others ways of living. The best way to start people on this path is to make sure that they are educated to the best of our abilities about all these different types of people.

The video that went around of a gay man having a exorcism to chase out the "homosexual spirit" was rather disturbing, and makes you wonder if this man will be unhappy the rest of his life now that he is denying who he is because of his and other peoples religious views about how homosexuality is supposable a sin.

Its high time that something is done to put a stop to intolerance based on sexual preferences and allow gays and lesbians the right to marry if they chose, and to broaden peoples knowledge.

My first toys

Up till recently I had never owned any of my own sex toys. As a guy I
didn't really see much point. But having gone so long without sex I
had ordered a fleshlight. You see the ads on some of the free porn
sites that I go to every now and then. Figured if I couldn't get any
real sex I least had to find a way to make at least masterbation more
interesting.

Sex ed in the US

As I read though blogs over the past few years and have started to
explore my own sexuality more, a common them has been taking my notice.

That theme sadly to say has been the sorry excuse of sexual
edjucation in the united states. Often the cause of this
unwillingness seems to stem from our religious right. Who are
constantly in favor of abstinence only programs which rather then
empower our youth with knowledge that could and would help them in
their adult lives, instead instills a ignorance that I've only
recently started to overcome myself.

What's prompting me to right thus now is recent YouTube clip I seen
from the O'Rily show on the Fox "News." Which they talk about a
cartoon that instead of just pointing out that it doesn't really seem
to show cross gender people in a better way, they rather-ed talk about
how elementary and high school kids shouldn't be exposed to the
concept, which they should be really. Knowledge helps breed tolerance
while ignorance only breeds fear, intolerance, and possibly even hate.

There is also the fact that there is allot of misinformation out
there. For instance I've read of some pretty nasty things that
supposably could happen as a result of anal sex that just are not
true. For some time I couldn't understand why any would engage in
it. After some self exploration though I found I enjoy anal play.

People need to learn about as many aspects of human sexuality as
possible so that when they decide the time is right they can do so in
a safe, sane, and consensual manner.

I understand that some people rather kids not learn about sex cause
they think teaching them will encourage them to engage in it. But I
ask, what is worst, them having sex with understanding about the risk,
preventive measures, and how to do so as safely as possible? Or
having sex without such information? Aside from that sex is a
wonderful thing.

I'm not ashamed. He is the only one that can save this
Country and they want him removed from the government.

Our great nation will not stand if we delete HIM from all
Aspects of our government as the atheists want.

I get e-mails occationaly including messages similar to this every now and then. Most the time i just delete them but once in awhile I just reply with something like, thanks for the e-mail, but I don't believe in God.

This one stuck out a little bit though. "Our great nation will not stand if we delete him from all aspects of our government as atheist want." The thing is the constitution calls for separation of church and state and its something that I and other people who aren't even all atheist care about. Maybe not all of us want to see the removal of phrases like "under God" from the pledge and "in god we trust" from our money. But honestly they never belonged there, and they weren't added till sometime later.

What I want, what I care about is where people are trying to inject God in places that it does not need to be. When peoples faith affects education for instance, I have a very big problem with that. The US has the highest number of people who don't even accept the scientific theory of evolution.

There are people out there that want everyone to acknowledge this country as a "christian nation" and its just not going to happen. First off we aren't a christian nation, we have people of many faiths living in this country and this country was not founded as a "christian nation" otherwise why even have the call for separation of church and state in the constitution.

I think the phrase "one nation under god" is just arrogant to begin with. one nation under god? what about the other nations of the world? are we seriously arrogant to say that god only favors us? course if you ever listen to a awards show you often here some of the arrogant things like people thanking God as if he had some part in them getting the award.

There are many people who believe different things in this country and to try and alienate the others religions, for what maybe most people believe isn't the right thing to do. The reason people feel so strongly about keeping certain statements out of the Government and public endorsements of religion by institutions like schools is to protect people, to keep the rights of individuals to worship what they want, or to worship nothing at all.

It protects those that don't believe in the same things by making it so they don't have to constantly have a faith that isn't theirs jammed down there throats and cause turn around is only fair play, so those that are christian don't have to listen to things they don't believe in as well.

Atheist like me aren't trying to say you can't have your beliefs but just don't try to inject God into everything. And when people start affecting the type of education kids receive because there is some science that doesn't mesh well with there faith, I'm sorry but you fail.

Kids need to learn a robust sex education so that when they are adults and get married or if they just fool around a bit with sex. They know what the fuck they are doing and and how to protect themselves from std/s and unwanted pregnancies. giving kids as much information as we can about sex only empowers them to make safe and sane decisions.

Homosexuals are finally getting the rights to marry and there are groups of people like with what happened with Prop 8 in Cali who want to take away rights of these people simply because it effected their religious sensibilities. No ones rights should be taking away from them simply because some people don't necessarily like the idea.

Obama on gun control

Just was noticing another poll on facebook that I believe was just worded with a ignorance of what Obama's actual stance on the right the bare arms is.

The problem is that some of the people who believe in the right to bare arms seem to think that the right to bare arms means that they should be able to bare any sort of arms that they feel like and just isn't write.

lowering the number of hand guns for instance, or out right banning hand guns which are used in a the majority of crimes to try and prevent or least lower the number of the crimes that would have involved hand guns is not really bad thing.

The poll was worded as thus, "do you support obama wanting to make it illegal to own a gun?" a quick search on google turned up this page here from ontheissues.org.

From what i see there there isn't anything that Obama has done or said that is going out to take away peoples right to bare any gun, just limit or remove the rights to bare weapons such as assault riffles or hand guns.

The right to bare arms is a tricky part of the constitution as it is. While I certainly understand that even we took away guns from everyone accept for maybe military, that it wouldn't stop violent crime, but it certainly may impact the amount of it. Or least the amount of people that die to violent crime every day.

Personaly I rather not support people's right to bare arms, cause I don't feel that people should have the right to bare them. I'm fine with someone using a hunting rifle for hunting, but the problem is that people kill people with guns. A gun is used to kill regardless if its a person or a animal though.

I remember hearing at one point someone on the new who attended one of the town meetings that Obama came to with a hand gun try to say that he would feel fine if every single person there was packing. I'm sure however that Obama and the secret service would feel differently however as just cause he may not be someone who is going to pull out a gun and try to shoot the president, does not mean that there isn't some other person who might have been there that would have done just that.

Figured this was worth a repost here. Tim Minchin's poem Storm. Its a very good piece of work, and apparently tim Minchin is a comedian in Australlia and possibly maybe coming to US. looking forword to hearing more of his work at some point.

Been rather lazy lately when it comes to posting on my blog. Really should take the time to post more often really.

Between working and playing WoW and keeping up on the anime shows I like to watch, its hard to find time to post much of anything.

Really need to start making it a weekly thing to do though I supose, then maybe I'd actually get more readers..maybe..probably not but ya never know. There is also the the whole I'm not sure about the name of the blog or what purpose to have behind it but meh.

Last few days I've been extremly sick, which has sucked. Done very little besides sleep and maybe a little wow. I got a horde took going on Muradin(US) I believe is the server name. Started a druid named Adit, though thinking I may just go to my tried and true favorite class to play..warrior. been thinking more about that lately, as I haven't been playing my warrior nearly enough on Earthern Ring. My mage Ancelak has more tier gear then my Warrior does and should be the other way around.

I don't like to stay on just one character though, I like to jump around from on to another on whims mostly, and should get myself to be more focused on playing one more then others. Main thing that made myself stop playing my warrior though is there seemed little reason for me to play my warrior half the time as I play my warrior as a tank first and foremost really. Sure I can dps and now that I can switch specs on the fly would make that easier to do. Will see where things go from here now. I may just start bring my warrior to things instead of my mage from now on even if i'm only bringing him as dps. Doing dps as a warrior just isn't as fun to me though.

I've run into my friend Trish awhile ago at work, haven't seen Her in some time, and gave her my phone number as I hadn't been able to give it to her after I had moved. She hasn't called me yet though grr. Don't know if how her hubby is doing. At one point she made it sound like he was just about dieing, but when I talked to her last said he had been going to AA and staying with his parents. Wish she would just leave him, but guess thats to much to hope for. have wanted to be more then just friends with her for along time.

I also got my new glasses finaly, so that I can see a bit better. Hopefully this summer I can finally get my license and get to drive so I can get myself moving around and actually get out a bit on my days off...got to do something, i don't like staying home just cause I don't want to walk 2+ hours to get to anything.

Well guess thats more or less a summory of whats been going on, may post some more specific things in awhile.
