I cannot believe it's May already! Mother's Day is next weekend, which means it's time to plant flowers here in the Midwest.

That is what inspired me to make this card. Mother's Day and Flowers... they just go together, don't you think?

I created this with the help of my Cricut Explore. The beauty of this card is that by simply changing out the sentiment, it could easily become a Get Well Soon, Sympathy, Thinking of You or even a Happy Birthday Card.

One of the questions I get asked most often is about the stitched lines around the edges of my projects.

Like the ones around the 2 circles and rectangle in the photo above.

Memory Dex Cards - I've gone off the deep end!

This is one of my favorite sayings. She believed she could... so she did.

and then she did it again.........

and again.......

It's happened again. I've gotten obsessed over another craze and this time it's Memory Dex Cards!
Warning... this blog post is PICTURE HEAVY!

I can't stop making these! I even get up every morning and make one before I go work. It's consuming my brain at all hours of the night!

I think it's because they are so quick and easy to make. There's no big time slot required to make one from start to finish. They don't take a lot of supplies. They are great for using up all those little bits and pieces left over from other projects.

They are a great way to try new things, new colors and techniques.

I have tried to make the majority of mine "inspirational". It's fun to flip through and see all the positive quotes.

But sometimes... I just have to add a little Tiffany's

... and Kate Spade. Who doesn't love those?

We are having such a great time in our Facebook Group "Memory Dex Swaps". You should see the

creative talents of our members! They keep upping the bar and I love it! Please come and join us!

Some of our members like to swap cards with one another, and others are making them for themself.

Either way, we love to see what you're creating and inspire one another.

You never know what your Memory Dex might look like. The card above was inspired by a raining afternoon.

And this one was inspired by a card I saw in Walgreens.

What would your card look like? Would you stamp on it? Would you watercolor (oh how I wish I could watercolor).

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by! I have a new obsession! Memory Dex Swapping!

Heidi Swapp came or with the Memory Dex system over a year ago. Of course, I went it and bought all of the supplies and accessories, but it ended there. Heidi created this with the idea that you could make little scrapbook pages/memories on these little cards and have them on display. Awesome! You can see that concept here

A friend and I had an idea to make these fun little cards as little pieces of art and trade them... and well... the idea of swapping Memory Dex cards has taken off from there!

Here are some I've recently created:

This one is using a new paper pad by Trimcraft and it's available at Michaels. The texture of this Editpaper is Amazing!

I love using lots of different layers

And trying new things (like distressed edges)

I have a fun video (lined below) to show you how I created this fun bicycle card.

These are just to quick, easy and fun to create.

It's fun to use acetate and create a see through card like this one.

Cutting Photos into Shapes with your Cricut Explore

Hello there! I'm excited to say I've joined the world of Memory Dex-ers (it's a word!). We've been swapping Memory Dex cards in our Swap Group. I've got lots of them to share with you, but today's post is all about using your Cricut to cut a photo into a shape.

Like this cute Rolodex Shape. I printed a photo of Ace and I and added it to my Memory Dex. This can be super simple with the use of your Cricut Explore.

If you have the IOS app/IOS device it's so easy to cut anything into a shape using the fun Snap Mat feature! Here's a quick video showing you how super duper fun it is!

Don't have an IOS device or the app? No worries, I've got you covered! You can use the Pattern option in Design Space and create the same photo filled shapes. Here's a quick video for you!

There are lots of fun ways to utilize this technique! Cricut always makes it easy!

A Floral Theme Loaded Envelope - Made it with my Cricut

Surprise! Another Loaded Envelope! This time the theme was FLORAL. I am not really a "flower"-type of girl, but I thought I'd give this Shabby look a try. This is the front.

And the backside. I was mostly happy with how this turned out.

With all of the stash I have, can you believe I really didn't own any flowers? Seriously!

I had to go out and buy flowers just for this project. I found some beautiful flowers at Hobby Lobby.

You know, I love my pinks. I only bought two small packages of flowers and then I just separated them.

I love to add lots of textures and layers to my projects. Some eyelash trim, rosettes, seam binding, pearls. I loved how the half rosette turned out! It wasn't planned, but as I was assembling it, I stopped half way through and thought... that's kinda cute! I love it when things like that happen.

Tiffany's Loaded Envelope - Take 2

I created another Tiffany's Loaded Envelope. Since I had already made one with this theme (see this post), I wanted to do something totally different on this one. I decided to go with Tiffany & Co theme rather than Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I love making the backside look like a totally different project.

I think it adds a nice surprise!

The front of the Loaded Envelope, is just surreal and calming. It makes me want to relax.

It's so fun to add lots of textures, layers and different elements.

I mean... does this not scream... girly?

I used my Cricut to cut the Tiffany & Co in silver glitter and then again in Vellum. I love it!

Soft and Sweet Loaded Envelope

I'm still on the Loaded Envelope Kick! Not sure why these are calling my name, but I absolutely love creating them. Above is a photo of the front.

It's so fun to make handmade embellishments for the inside of the loaded envelopes

This cheeky little shaker tag really made me smile!

And, of course, you can't have an loaded envelope without a wand! This is one side of the wand....

... and this is the opposite side.

You know, I have to add a layered tag! It just had to be done!

An extra handmade tag and a little "make your own wand" kit.

And how cute is this acetate pinwheel! I cut that with the Cricut!

Sigh.... I just love layers

Valentine Mini Loaded Envelope

It's Valentine's week! Where in the world did January go? I'm not a big Valentine Crafter, but I couldn't resist some of the Target Dollar Spot cuties.

So, I thought, I'd make a fun Mini Loaded Envelope for my friend. This was so much fun! I simply created a 5 x 7 box envelope and then started to load it up!

The teal, hot pink and light pink combo made me so happy!

I handmade most of the embellishments that were inside.

I used a combo of my stash and Target Dollar Spot goodies.

Cricut Tote Bags

I am so EXCITED to show you what arrived at my doorstep!

I just received my new Cricut Tote Bags, and let me just say... these are not your ordinary tote bags!

They are made of such high quality construction and materials. Cricut really took the time to get these right. I have owned several of the standard rolling totes for crafting, but never anything like these.

I have this thing packed with supplies and still have a lot of room left for plenty more!

I love how organized everything is. I also love the fact that this rolling tote become a workstation. The lid attaches to the rolling tote handle so that you can work right out of your tote

There are velcro bags that attach to the lid so that you can keep all of those little tools and bits in place. I used one for my spray paints so that I don't risk a leak in the bag. Brillant, Cricut!!

I love that they stack on top of one another. The rolling tote rolls on all four wheels, so it's super easy to get in and out of the crop. The material is this beautiful tweed charcoal gray color. I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw how gorgeous these are. I think I'm going to add the shoulder bag to my set!

Wall Art with Cricut Explore

I have been working on my craftroom this week. The walls have been neglected. I wanted to make it a very inspiring area and I needed to add some girly, inspiring, pretty stuff on the walls. Cricut to the Rescue!

I grabbed a couple of canvases, some Cricut Vinyl (glitter, matte and foil) and started working on a couple of decor pieces to liven up my craft space. I made this Making Magic Happen using the Glitter Vinyl, and Black Vinyl by Cricut.

Next up was this fun canvas that says "Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful". I used the Cricut Vinyl in Pink and Black, and the Gold Foil Vinyl (swoon). This piece turned out so fun and I had the perfect spot to hang it.

I absolutely love how my wall art turned out. I plan to make several more in the near future.

I couldn't wait to try and make Evie some cute little headbands! I mean does it get any sweeter than this?

But once I started, I couldn't stop! I mean seriously!!! I had to make one in every color!

And then I found MORE colors and had to make some more! I'm not even finished with all the colors yet! I think Miss Evie is all set for awhile!

I don't think she minds. :) I made these with the Cricut Explore and some felt backed with Heat N Bond! (Products listed below). It was so super simple and fast. I am thinking I need hair clip bows for when she's a little older, headband bows/flowers, ponytail holders. Heck even, planner clips.

The Cricut and Felt work well together. I couldn't believe how well the Cricut cut the bonded felt.

Here's a tutorial if you'd like to make the bows, too! These are selling for $3-4 a piece on Etsy.. and seriously, cost me a few cents each.

Happy New Year!!! What an amazing year 2016 was! I'm so excited for 2017 and can't wait to see what it brings! I am starting the new off with a brand new video.

I created this Breakfast at Tiffany's Inspired Loaded Bag a week or so ago, but just now had a chance to film it. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I did creating!

Christmas Card with Cricut Explore

I created this card based on a card I made last year. While I loved the cards from last year as shown below

here's another version of last year's card

I was very happy with how it turned out last year, but had so many of my Cricut followers ask for a tutorial. I thought I would try to make this card 100% from Cricut Products. In last year's version, I cut the star and stag with the Cricut, but the doily was store bought and the sentiments were stamped.

So.... this card was born

It is super simple and the Cricut Glitter Cardstock along with the Cricut Foiled Poster Board (linked below), made this so super simple to recreate in Design Space and the best part is, I never had to leave my house! :)
