Although the proposed council resolution on the agenda May 25, 2021 finds her GUILTY of "negatively impacting" Mr. Moos, it says it will commute any and all sentences on Lee-Eng. It “does not seek to punish, embarrass, or discipline.”

If this verdict passes without a heavy rewrite and a 3-0 vote, it will not heal the community, but do quite the opposite.

Issues like costs, floods, parking congestion were discussed...we compared the new ARG consultant report with the 2015 Sandoval report. We sure didn't get much new from the $50,000 ARG report.

In this article, we examine whether Halsey House actually is locally historic? Maybe. That is if you want a monument to commemorate persons enjoying the privileges of early 20th-century systemic racism and imperialism.

Really? If ever there was a misconstruing, a miscommunication between people of different ages, countries, cultures, this it. This is a disproportionate retaliation attempt by Justice Vanguard because of a city council vote on Nov. 24. Lee-Eng was singled out, yet all council members whittled away at the Police Task Force Recommendations. Why is Lee-Eng singled out?

We examine who said what to whom when. We propose healing moves to bring Justice Vanguard and our youth into the community organizations ecosystem.

They have used sensational sounding headlines like ‘Los Altos Eliminates SRO’.

Only the Los Altos Town Crier gets it somewhat right in quietly pointing out ‘council members changed some wording…voted to pass IN SOME FORM, every one of the PTF’s six recommendations.’

How much did the council change in the wording of the recommendations? Is this just a little watering down or a gutting or recommendations? You decide.

In this article we will examine only the PTF 6th recommendation – eliminate the SRO Program. [We expect to examine recommendations 1 to 5 about the police complaint process in a separate post.]

Lalah concludes City Council did not so much end the current SRO program as encourage the collaborative design of a new MVLA SRO program at LAHS.

That's the "carrot" for homeowning seniors, more moves, to more places.

But there is also a big "stick" for some senior homeowners.

That "stick" in 2020 Prop 19 is a reversal of the 1986 Prop 58 that allows heirs to keep their parents' and grandparents' old property tax assessment for first and second residences as well as other property. Prop 19 almost totally crushes the inheritance tax 'loophole.' Some adult kids won't be able to "afford" the family home they inherit and will be economically forced to sell.
