</style><p>Many thousands of fitness fanatics who frequently attend a gym in order to gain lean muscle mass. They struggle for a much better body shape but all too frequently they do not accomplish their goals.</p>
<p>As the weeks pass by they become increasingly annoyed with their shortage of mass gains.</p>
<p>This can be a very common occurrence for someone having a strong desire to improve their physique, which is why many people stop, thinking that they are somehow unable to add muscle size.</p>
<p>So why does this happen to so many of us and what can you do solve it?</p>
<p>From my experience, those of us who do not make extremely good muscle mass increases at the gym make the same errors over and over again.</p>
<p>Read on below to see if you are making these common mistakes, with answers for every problem.</p>
<p><strong>Some people choose the completely wrong workout program to achieve their aims, often following professional workouts from bodybuilding books.</strong></p>
<p>This is no use for the typical man or woman, and in particular for novices.</p>
<p>In order to gain muscle mass you must train for approximately 45 mins with weights, performing 2-3 sets per exercise. Keep your sets at no more than 15 sets per weight training visit.</p>
<p>There is no benefit doing 20 or more sets and sacrificing many hours at the gym.</p>
<p><strong>Doing the same bodybuilding training routine week after week, even though they have not made any obvious <a title="Go to adding muscle mass website" href="http://www.addingmusclemass.com">muscle mass gains.</a></strong></p>
<p>To be able to increase muscle mass you must completely change your workout every 12 weeks maximum. Your body has a kind of muscle memory so it quickly gets used to the same muscle training routine you do again and again every week.</p>
<p>You need to suprise your muscles by changing your bodybuilding programs routinely.</p>
<p><strong>Not taking any time off from body building.</strong></p>
<p>I take 1 week off half way through every weight training program.</p>
<p>This gives my muscles time off to recover and recharge.  I&#8217;ve done this for several years now and I haven&#8217;t had a bad injury while doing so..</p>
<p>Another benefit is that I often experience increased strength after I&#8217;ve taken time off.</p>
<p><strong>Bodybuilding training on successive days.</strong></p>
<p>Doing bodybuilding programs that involve lifting heavy weights puts a lot of load on your muscles. It can even take up to 24 hours to restore your glycogen reserves. Therefore, ensure you train no more than 2 consecutive days. This will make sure your body can re-nourish itself, resulting in optimum energy reserves when you train at the gym.</p>
<p><strong>You depend on muscle building supplements to compensate for a poor diet.</strong></p>
<p>Many muscle building supplements are not anything more than high priced marketing gimmicks. They drain your bank account of hard earned cash and do nothing to build lean muscle. Even if you spend $75 a week on bodybuilding supplements, it will make no more than 10% difference to your lean muscle mass gains.</p>
<p>All workout programs should be prepared around a stable dietary plan.</p>
<p>You have got to make certain that you feed your muscles with the nutrients it requires in order to develop solid body mass.</p>
<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>
<p>In order to increase muscle faster than you have ever achieved previously, you must forget the traditional body building methods that you have picked up in the past from pro body builders in muscle magazines.</p>
<p>Hardgainers in particular must adjust their body building programs and stop repeating the common errors I&#8217;ve mentioned in this article. Make these changes and should see some significant results!</p>

<p>If you are stuck on the scale issue get rid of your scale.  When you are building muscle you will actually become smaller and may weigh a little more. Lose fat; build muscle is an attainable goal.  If you have a lot of weight to lose you will also <a href="http://www.loseweightbuildmuscle.info" title="Lose Weight">lose weight</a>.  Another fact is that fat does not turn into muscle.  They are two different physiological systems.</p>
<p>What kinds of food do you put in your mouth to lose fat build muscle?  If you are dieting, of course you want to reduce your caloric intake.  Your diet should consist of lean proteins like chicken fish and beef.  You should be eating fresh fruits and vegetables. You do need to have some fat too.  Limit your self to three small amounts a day of butter, margarine or mayo.  You can get healthy fats from sunflower seeds, almonds, cashews and pumpkin seeds.  Do not forget the power of water, drink plenty of it.</p>
<p>When you want to lose fat build muscle, do you need to eat more protein for muscle development?  It has been proven that you do need to eat more protein than you burn off to build muscle.  There are different theories on where the protein should come from.  There are supplements you can take.  Drinking whey protein is one way to get more protein.  Consuming all the protein that a body builder needs from just their diet might be difficult.</p>
<p>You only need more protein if you are a serious body builder or are into another form of extreme training. For a female who wants to lose a little weight and jests want to have a little muscle definition, you probably do not need to eat more protein.  On the other hand, some experts say that that anybody who embanks on an exercise regime should consume more protein.  Others say you only need more protein if you want to build body mass or if your diet is too low in carbohydrates.</p>
<p>Body builders do need more protein because as they are building muscle, and that muscle needs more calories from protein.  Protein is broken down in our body to nitrogen and to build muscle you need to have a positive nitrogen balance.  There are formulas to assist you in figuring out just how much protein you need. <p>Similarly Milos Sarchev retired from contests after the Hungarian GP on June 8th, when he finished 6th and failed to qualify for the 2003 Mr. Olympia. He also cited health reasons for giving up. Milos has been at the top level for many years and has probably competed in more Pro contests than any other bodybuilder, ever. He obviously enjoyed the competition and has come back after suffering serious injury with a rupture of the quadriceps in his right leg. Such mechanical type injuries can happen to anyone in any sport that pushes the body to the limits. But Milos has had direct experience of internal health risks associated with top level bodybuilding. He suffered an almost fatal embolism a year or two ago when he had a blood clot, caused by using Synthol, detach from an artery and cause a blockage in his lung.</p>
<p>It wasn&#8217;t long before other top level amateurs and professionals started admitting to serious health problems. Orville Burke injured himself during a photo shot in Olympia resulting in his shoulder and Elbow needing to be operated on. As a result of his poor health, one medical team refused to operate, although another did, but only after receiving a report and approval from a heart consultant. Sadly Orville fell into a coma after kidney failure but slowly recovered although his bodybuilding career is over.</p>
<p>Mike Francois who had an excellent physique up until a couple of years ago suffered serious internal problems as well, resulting in career coming to an end. Nasser el Sonbaty had to pull out of the Night of the Champions 2003 in New York due to health problems and it is said that his career has also come to an end. Another great Flex Wheeler had his pro card withdrawn because of health problems and it was rumored that he may also need a kidney transplant. Another top American Don Long needed his sister&#8217;s help to save him when he needed a kidney transplant.</p>
<p>Then there was a really top American bodybuilder Ron Teufel from the 70&#8217;s who died at 45. We can no doubt argue the case that these examples are not necessarily drug related but it goes without saying that we are talking about young, strong and fit men who should be glowing with health. But I&#8217;m afraid that it&#8217;s just not the case when so many become so seriously ill and sometimes even leading to fatal illness.</p>
<p>I have talked about several drugs which aren&#8217;t anabolic steroids, and are taken by competing bodybuilders but professionals are at the cutting edge of the game. These pros are very well connected with the drug gurus who are permanently looking out for new material which is able to push that freaky physique on just that bit further. These products are able to make that all important difference to muscle size and vascularity and not forgetting to mention the guru&#8217;s added earning potential. These top pros need bodies with potent drug handling genetics in order to handle such high doses and complex drug cocktails over long periods of time.</p>
<p>The life of a pro is dictated by his sport and his income earning potential. The time for high earning at the top can be short [even if our Pro remains healthy] and the serious Pro wants to maximize his earnings in that short time. This means a life of competing &#8211; unless you are a special kind of showman, your earning potential soon starts to drop if you are not in front of the fans, regularly winning or placing high in contests &#8211; of training to be bigger and better next year, of appearing at exhibitions, giving seminars, grabbing star spots, etc. And for all of the last three you will be expected to be in decent shape; appearing as a lard ball is not an option. The consequence of all of this is a life of drug use year round. It is not healthy.</p>
<p>The pro body building scene isn&#8217;t really what it&#8217;s made out to be. Training is hard and those heavy weights lead to joint problems and in the modern day era heavy means heavy and injuries are high on the agenda. In addition we have a high food intake including high protein content which over works the digestive system, the kidneys and the liver. This deadly combination causes high blood pressure and accompanied by potent drug cocktails, the stress factor on the body organs is tremendous. The human body needs rest, but there&#8217;s no rest for a pro bodybuilder.</p>
<p>American football is similar in a way to the high demands on the body. We have big guys training hard, kicking the shit out of each other and well the resulting serious injuries. Then there are the drugs although I can only guess what they take. The dosage level would be lower to that of bodybuilders and they definitely receive better medical assistance. Another big difference is that the American Football season only lasts 4 months allowing more time to rest.</p>
<p>Most of you who read my column will know that I am not opposed to the use of drugs and, like every real bodybuilding enthusiast; I want to see ever freakier physiques. But I do not want a single young man to kill himself trying to get just that bit freakier. Trying to draw the line anywhere is difficult. Once a genie is out of the bottle it is pretty well impossible to get it back in again. And the release occurred over 40 years ago.</p>
<p>I have faith in that bodybuilding won&#8217;t turn into a lunatic freaks sport, consisting of a small number crazy guys with a self imposed death wish to become THE FREAK of the year. Maybe it has become this already? It is the old rockers motto incarnate. Live hard, die young and have a good looking corpse. On 22nd May 2003, Scott Klein died. Is death the only real future for the Bodybuilder?</p>

<p>The diet works like this: Eat all the soup you want every day, whenever you are hungry. In addition to the soup, the only thing you can eat on Day 1 is Fruit, except bananas, Day 2 is vegetables, except for dry beans, peas and corn, also forbidden on low to no carb diets. However, on Day 2 for dinner, you can have a baked potato, which is carbs, but they use it to fool the metabolism into thinking you are eating carbs again. </p>
<p>On Day 3, you guessed it, soup, fruits and vegetables and Day 4 is soup, bananas and skim milk. On Day 5, it is low fat meat and tomatoes, with soup, of course, and Day 6 is soup, meat and green leafy vegetables. The final day, Day 7, is soup and brown rice. This diet is not a plan you can stick with very long, because if you don&#8217;t lose interest due to lack of variety, you would eventually suffer mal-nutrition.</p>
<p>The cabbage soup diet is just like any of the low to no carb diets, in the fact it restricts the carbohydrates, which the body turns to sugar for energy or stores in fat cells. The diet doesn&#8217;t restrict how often you eat, which is likely to be often, as long as it is soup, or the fruit/vegetable of the day. </p>
<p>The best diets for helping you to lose weight over the long term are those which add fat burning foods while letting you have variety and meeting all of your nutritional needs.
