My cousin has a dance school in Liverpool and recently a cat has made itself at home in one of the store rooms. She has been unable to catch it but has been feeding it and has put a litter tray in the room which the cat has started to use.
As you can imagine the cat cannot remain there and even after contacting the cat's protection and RSPCA she has had no offers of help.
Is there anyone in the area that can help or know of any rescues in the area that would be able to help please?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

i hope i am posting this in the right section.today i had one of the mums from my daughters school knock on my door handing me a poor little staffy...

i hope i am posting this in the right section.today i had one of the mums from my daughters school knock on my door handing me a poor little staffy possibly cross.she found him in her garden and nobody knew who he belonged to so she brang him to me knowing the volanteering i do on here.
the poor little tyke was in an awful state (we have primarilly named him louie as "it" or "he" just didnt feel right) he's covered in old scars all rouns his muzzles and in his ears and is really skinny and smelt absolutly awful, covered in his own poop and very nervous.
he also has a small, yet deep cut on his paw (i've had this checked by a vet nurse friend and she assures me he is not in need of stitches)
i have bathed him and given him a dose of advocate to clear up any fleas or worms (my puppy is of similar size so i just used hers) and he's had a small meal which didnt even touch the sides (dont want to give him too much too soon)
he has no collar and no tag and os not nutered and has clearly been allowed to get to this state for quite some time.
i have called local vets, scoured doglost, preloved, gumtree for any ads and nothing so far.he has no microchip...
i am left thinking that he was not wanted anymore and dumped...possibly by pikeys.the scars are old and healed and some cuts are new (within the last week) they are clearly irritating him.i have washed them and done all i can.
i have no problem keeping him here with me and possibly fostering him maybe?
all i do know is that if the ar***ole that did this to him (if it is intentional neglect, which it looks to me it is as he hasnt gotten like this in just a couple of weeks) finds out i have him and kicks off, obviously i dont want him going back into a horrid situation...is there anybody that could take him if these horrid people come calling?
as i said before, so long as i dont get anyone on my door threatening me, i am happy to keep him here, poor little sod just seems so happy to have some love, he's still a little nervour but really really wants to be loved.
am i doing the right thing here?if there is any chance he was a stolen pet i'd obviously want to see him returned but nobody has called him in as missing at vets, no microchip, no id, no collar, really skinny, covered in dog bite scars and wounds...i dont want to think the worst but surely you all can see why i'm being led to think this poor little chap needs to be taken care of, which is something he hasnt seen in a very long time, if ever :-(
more than anything if maybe somebody in rescue could call me, let me know legally where i stand on this and if there is anything else i can do for poor little louie?

Hiya,

My male black/white cat went missing from my parents house whilst I was on holiday in Sept 2011. He didn't know the area (Redhill bordering Arnold) and disappeared. He is microchipped and had an identity tag on but could have lost that since. He's slim build, 3 years old, mostly black sleek fur with white paws, bib, chest/tum and around nose & mouth.

I set up a site to help find him a while back where I have loads of photos. If you're in Nottingham please have a look, it's at www.findbilly.co.uk

Many thanks
