I also have one Front NCT3 195/60 r15 which has plenty of tread, it still has the chalk mark round the centre of the tread, no cuts etc on sidewalls. The other front is a pirelli that I would not use as its very cracked on the sidewall.

If anyone is interested in them please Pm me and we can discuss. I’m not sure if they are correct for a G car as I read the Goodyears were VR which has a square shoulder. I probably would not drive around on them due to age (although I did) but thought they maybe suitable for shows as I know the Goodyears are like rocking horse pooh.

It needs a lot of work to be a show car but has served us well as a daily driver.

It needs headlining which I have got but not fitted

The interior is also in need of changing.

Engine and gearbox are strong. Oil  pressure gauge not working (I think it’s the sender)

A bit of a shudder on heavy braking ( could be bushes or warped discs ?)

Alloys could do with a refurb. Spare set of good 205/50 tyres. 2 new tyres on front

Paintwork ok but lacquer peeling (only on roof) front bumper rubbed, rear bumper has been hit at some time and cracked the paint but not the fibreglass and numberplate a bit cracked (MOT tester was ok as the number readable)

All the electrics work lights popup windows mirrors etc apart from the heated rear screen and clock

Other than that it’s fun to drive and classic insurance was £200 for 6000 miles restricted policy.

Ideally it will make a great track day car as all of its faults are not important.

Elise S2 Service Notes for the Rover drive train model, part number A117T0327J. A genuine Lotus manual, dated 2001 with some Jan 2001, Feb 2001, Feb 2002, Jan 2003, Jan 2004and Feb 2004update pages. Contains the sections listed below. 267 sheets, mostly all double sided. Sheets are generally in fair condition for their age but some are marked with some having folded corners. The edges of the pages are marked near the outer faces where the pages are exposed and the bottom edges are grubby where they have been sat on the shelf. The face of the last page is very dirty from rubbing on the folder inside face. The page ringer binder holes are ovalling a small amount. The ring binder is falling to pieces and needs replacing and the cover insert has the lower third taped over. Also included are the Rover ‘K’ series engine and PG1 gearbox overhaul manuals.
