World's Biggest Coffee Morning

There's not much I love more than a sweet slice of Cake & cup of Tea, but it's even better if it's for a good cause. For the 8th year running Marks & Spencer are the official partner of Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning & have helped to raise over £10 million for the charity. Not only are they holding Coffee Morning events in their cafes they are also donating 10% of sales from the Macmillan branded Tea, Coffees & Cakes as well as Macmillan homeware items. If that wasn't enough 5p from every Cake & Hot Drink sold in their cafes throughout September will also be donated to Macmillan. By fundraising for the charity M&S are helping to fund Macmillan professionals that support people living with Cancer in their local communities.

Macmillan is a charity very close to my heart, the care & support they provided for my Family was second to none in our time of need, which is why I'm honoured to be a part of the fundraising & helping to promote the event. It's an amazing opportunity to give something back to such an important cause, these fundraising events have a huge impact so lets make an even bigger difference this year. Getting together with friends, family or colleagues with a selection of delicious treats is a simple yet really effective way to raise money for a charity that goes above & beyond.

Pop down to your local M&S store on Friday 29th September for cake & coffee & know by doing this you're supporting a great cause, buy a slice & change a life. I'll be attending the Liverpool Coffee Morning to enjoy a sweet treat but to also to take a look at the other fundraising efforts the store have put together for the campaign.

The Transitional Puffa Jacket

When I was Five I had a metallic Pink Puffa Jacket & I wore it every moment I could, Twenty years later (wow I sound old!) the jacket that adds a bit of sass to your outfit is making a comeback in a big way, it's going to be a key piece for your A/W wardrobe.

It's the perfect jacket to go with a laid back look but I also wore it with a little dress & boots too when I was feeling a bit more adventurous, so there are plenty of ways you can wear this hero piece.

My favourite thing about this coat? The amount of compliments I've received! This girl has been rocking it & found a new confidence since doing so. It's amazing how trying something that is a little outside of your comfort zone can actually make the world of difference to your confidence. I was a little apprehensive about whether or not the coat would suit me. With it being a more sporty style & seeing the way it had been styled on the model but hey I gave it a go & loved the outcome!

Pug Owner Problems

I have three squishy little furbabies who take up the majority of my time, whether thats cuddles on the sofa, walkies to the park, trips to the vets or feeding time at the zoo, my life revolves around them but I wouldn't have it any other way!

01. You get stopped at least 3 times within the space of 10 minutes just so a passerby can say hello to your squishy lil friend.
02. You are forever covered in a sprinkling of Pug hair. It gets everywhere, there is no avoiding it. I call it Pug glitter & it's my favourite accessory!
03. Personal space is a thing of the past. Your Pug is by your side no matter what.
04. Everything you own has a Pug on it. Pug mugs? Check. Pug Bathplug? Check. Pug Bedding? Yep you've got that too!
05. Your Pug has a better wardrobe than you. Cosy knit jumpers, onesies & tutus, I'm pretty jealous.
06. They also have a better social life than you. Yep thats right, every weekend you find yourself standing in a park surrounded by 100s of other crazy pug people watching your squishy bundles of joy run around together.
07. Your Camera roll is just an endless stream of Pug photos because you can never resist taking a photo of them.
08. The non-stop barking at the TV, the G-Tech Air advert is the bane of my life!
09. EXPENSIVE! They eat high quality food (my 3 dogs have a better diet than myself), they send their Pug friends birthday & Christmas presents but expect me to cover the costs, oh & Vet bills are extortionate... so invest in the best Pet insurance you can afford, because trust me you'll need it.
10. Snoring. Yep, they really do snore & snort & it's much louder than you'd expect for such a small animal.
11. Their excessive pamper routine. This might sound ridiculous but these tiny dogs require quite the pamper sesh, with their wrinkly faces that need wiping regularly to keeping up with their dental hygiene. If you have a Pug you'll know that trying to brush their teeth can be a bit of a nightmare which is why I give my three girls Pedigree DentaStix. Dog Dental Care is an important part of my Pugs pamper routine, not only because their breath gets stinky but because when we rescued Lulu her teeth had been neglected & she required dental treatment to resolve her sore gums & plaque ridden teeth.
I aim to brush their teeth as often as possible but as I mentioned above Pugs like to make this very difficult & will do anything to avoid the dreaded toothbrush coming near them. This is why I find DentaStix ideal as the unique X shape & special texture helps to reduce the build-up to tartar & keep their breath fresh & of course the Pugs never have any issues when it comes to eating a DentaStix! Although they are like a treat for Dogs they are actually low in fat with no added sugar, which is reassuring to know as my girls have these daily.

June Goals

How are already half way into 2017!? Setting out aims at the beginning of the month is something I really enjoy doing, whether I stick to them is another story but at least I try!

01. Blog Consistently. This is a big one for me as I get so much enjoyment out of blogging but rarely give myself the time to do it.

02. Use my time more wisely. I'm a "tomorrow never comes" kinda girl. I always say oh I'll do that later & do I get round to it? Nope.

03. Create more fashion content. I had a photo sesh with Becca a few weeks back, I waved goodbye to my comfort zone & had a lil pose. Keep your eyes peeled for sassy, stylish shots of me... lol.

04. Continue going to the Gym. I've started working out with my gal pals & I absolutely LOVE it! I actually don't understand why people are so against exercise because the feeling afterwards is so rewarding... trust me & give it a go. My schedule is about to get crazy busy this month (hello six day working week... more on that later!) so I want to ensure I still get those workouts done.

05. Ease myself into my new routine. I start a full time job next week which is going to be a bit of a shock to the system after only having a 20hr contract at my previous job. I'll also be commuting for about an hour each way so my days are about to become super long. I'm scared but excited for the change & need to keep reminding myself that change takes time to adjust to!

Marks & Spencer recently discovered that Brits aren't making the most of everyday life, it's always about the big things rather than the small everyday choices.
In their study, M&S found that 96% of us feel like we spend our life on autopilot, that we say 'yes' four times a day instead of saying 'no' & that 81% of us think it's the small things that make a big difference, but we don't make time for nearly enough of them.

Marks & Spencer want to inspire people to change the rules of their routine, to take a moment & to think about what really matters to them & to focus on the little changes that they can change to spend life well. 'Make It Matter' Day is round the corner, (June 1st to be precise!) what little changes can you make to your everyday life?

The #SpendItWell campaign has really got me thinking about how I can make the most of life, with the wise old saying 'Life's Too Short' I've been keen to embrace the little things in life. Want some inspiration on how to Spend Life Well, take a look at some of my ideas...

01. Make time for that pamper session. I'm terrible for ever allowing myself a moment to relax, my mind is always on the go & often end up run down from taking too much on. I definitely need to remind myself to run a big bubble bath, light my favourite candle, use that nice face mask & indulge in some 'me' time, even if thats only for half an hour.

02. Enjoy a home-made meal. With daily life being so busy its rare I take the time to prepare a meal from scratch, but whenever I do I always find the process to be enjoyable. It's nice to be able to sit down & tuck into a delicious meal with a loved one whilst catching up on each others day.

03. Have a lie-in. I don't think I need to explain this one too much, but ignore that feeling of guilt for once & rest up!

04. Buy a bouquet of flowers. Flowers are one of my favourite things, theres nothing nicer than walking into a room to be greeted by a vase of beautiful blooms.

05. Cuddles with my furbabies, because Pug Hugs are the best <3

It's hard to forget about those little things that can make such a difference to your day, it's so easy to get caught up the bigger picture that sometimes we need to take a step back & think about what matters the most. Whilst it's amazing to achieve those goals & dream big it's also just as important to appreciate the smaller moments in life, to break out of your usual routine & celebrate your own everyday wins.

A Dinner Party With A Private Chef

I love being a host, having people over to my house for food/drinks/movies/whatever we fancy is one of my favourite things. If you know me you know I'll always choose a night in over a night out. Recently I had the chance to have my very own chef for the evening, perfect for people like me who aren't the greatest at cooking. Whenever I invite people round it often results in us ordering a takeaway due to my fear of being a bad cook! La Belle Assiette is an online private chef service who aim to make hosting a dinner party easier & a lot more enjoyable. They have chefs located all over the country so wherever you are there is a chef ready & waiting to host a dinner party for you!
Once the dinner party was scheduled, my chef Ben called me to discuss the menu & confirm any dietary requirements for myself or my guests. The menu was different to anything I usually opt for, based around seafood & would consist of five small dishes, so I was really looking forward to trying something new. My only worry was my tiny kitchen, but I expressed my concerns to Ben & he wasn't phased by that at all, he said he was used to working in small spaces which reassured me everything would be okay.

On the evening of the dinner party Ben arrived about an hour & a half before my guests to begin his preparations which meant I was free to go & get ready without worrying about any of the cooking process. He even laid the table for me which was a lovely extra I didn't expect at all. Once everyone had arrived at about 7.30pm we took our seats at the table & were poured a glass of wine by Ben, the perfect way to begin our evening! The aromas from the kitchen smelt amazing, I was so excited to begin our feast.

The first dish of the night was Salmon Ceviche & Mango Salsa with Coriander Oil. A small zingy, fresh flavoured appetizer that was really tasty. It was just the right amount to experience the taste without any of us feeling overwhelmed for our next course.

The second course was deep-fried Crab with a Sweet Chilli dressing & a Parmesan crisp. Now I've never tried Crab meat before so I was a little apprehensive to try it but I loved it! I think I've got a new favourite, I haven't stopped thinking about how delicious it was.

Our next course was Asian Style Tuna Tartare. I'm always a little nervous to eat raw fish, although I do always enjoy it & this time it was no different. The Tuna was fresh & the Avocado puree complimented it perfectly.

Next up was Tempura Seabass with Tempura Shiitaki Mushroom & Tempura Sauce. The Seabass was to die for, it had been deep-fried to perfection & dipping it in the Tempura sauce made it even more delicious.

My favourite course of the night has got to be the Thai Style Curry with King Prawns, Sticky Rice & Chapatis. The Curry was the best I've ever tasted, with hints of Coconut & a kick of a spice, I could have eaten so much more but of course I had one more dish to try yet!

The final course of the evening was Dessert, a Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta with Passionfruit & Ginger Biscuits served in a beautiful glass. The fruity topping was paired perfectly with the citrusy, fresh Panna Cotta & was a refreshing way to finish an incredible dinner.

As the night came to an end I wasn't filled with my usual "ugh, all the washing up that needs doing" thought, I was able to wave goodbye to my guests & relax on the sofa after an amazing evening of food & fun!

If you're looking to hire a private chef in Liverpool there are plenty of chefs to choose from but I would highly recommend Ben & would absolutely love to have him cook for us again!

Five Happy Thoughts

A positive mind is one aspect of my life I'm really trying to work on, I mean most things are good but I'm quite the Debbie Downer & always put a negative spin on everything. I've definitely made more of a conscious effort to think in a positive way & often correct myself for having such a gloomy outlook on life.

01. The vets saving little Lulu pugs eye. Lulu developed a Corneal Ulcer out of nowhere which deteriorated very quickly. I had to rush her over to a specialists for them to do an emergency operation, it was all very scary but I am so thankful for the wonderful vets who have done an amazing job.

02. Re-designing my blog. I've fallen back in love with blogging this week! Who knew a new layout could really get my inspiration flowing again?

03. A week at home with the Pugs. As Lulu has been quite poorly & couldn't really be left unattended incase she caused further damage to her eye I took some time off work & it has been SO nice. I love my home a lot but I don't get to spend much time here with work & family commitments I often feel like I never stop.

04. Making plans. May is getting booked up fast! I can't believe how many things are going on, I already have two London trips planned, plus a couple of events in Liverpool & it's a month filled of birthdays, so lots of celebrations all round.

05. Buying my first bunch of Peonies. Oh yeah it's Peony season again & I'm not letting it escape from me without buying at least one bouquet a week. I just can't get enough of those pretty blooms.

A Skincare Routine With Jurlique

Jurlique is a skincare brand that have always been on my radar because of their cult product amongst bloggers, the Rosewater Balancing Mist, yet I hadn't really much experience of them myself. Jurlique have recently opened a lovely new counter in the Chester Debenhams store so I was invited along to see it for myself & have a skincare consultation. I discussed my skin woes with Sophie who was able to recommend products that were best suited for my skincare needs. It was decided that the Herbal Recovery range would be most suitable for me as it has potent botanicals & antioxidants to protect my skin but also minimise dullness. My skin always looks a little lacklustre so anything that promises to brighten my complexion sounds great to me!
The first stage of any skincare routine is of course to cleanse, so to begin my Jurlique skincare regime I use the Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Cleansing Mousse*. It's a silky foaming mousse that ensures my skin feels squeaky clean, free of any makeup or other impurities. I then go spritz crazy with the Herbal Recovery Mist* to hydrate & protect my skin. Now you might be thinking, time for the moisturiser? Nope! Over the last year or so I have learnt a great deal about skincare & how to use my products correctly, so once your skin is cleansed it's important to apply an eye cream/serum before any other products. This is because the eye product would simply sit on top of anything applied previously, meaning it would basically be redundant. So next I apply the Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum*, a lightweight & refreshing serum that gives my eye area the protection it needs against anti-ageing. Then I apply the Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum* to the rest of my face, which provides the moisture necessary to reduce fine lines & improve elasticity. The final step of my Jurlique skincare routine is to apply the Skin Balancing Face Oil*, however I don't use this every single time. I tend to use this when I need that extra boost of moisture as this is a super hydrating oil that instantly provides a velvety, smooth finish once it has been massaged in.
An additional product to my skincare routine is the Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Gel Mask*, which I use once a week to help decongest my skin. For about a year my skin has been really blemish-prone, it seems to be having a quarter life crisis as I've previously never suffered with skincare problems. This mask really helps to relieve my skin by removing any excess oils which in turn prevents unwanted blemishes, blackheads & spots appearing. A 10 minute pamper session feels like a mini spa treatment with this mask as it's so heavenly to use & I love that fresh skin feeling it gives me!
I'm absolutely loving my current Jurlique skincare routine, the Herbal Recovery range has made such an improvement to my complexion. The whole range feels luxurious to apply, the packaging is beautiful & each product has a lovely light, fresh fragrance.

ASOS Spring Picks

It finally feels like Spring has Sprung, with blossom trees blooming & blue skies making an appearance I want to put my thick knits & fleece lined leggings to the back of my wardrobe. I'm obsessing over anything blush pink still, I'm hoping this colour trend is going to continue because I can't get enough of it! I've also recently become a fan of the pleated midi skirt & I want to build up a pretty little collection for the warmer months when I'm not feeling brave enough to have my legs out. Another trend I'm LOVING is gingham, it kinda gives that school Girl Summer dress vibe but I like it & I'm gonna try rock it if I can... and obviously ruffles are huge right now. All I see in shops is ruffles & frills galore, gimme all the ruffle blouses please! What are your wardrobe picks for Spring?

The Blogger Sleepover

A couple of weeks ago I was invited along to The Blogger Programme Sleepover with my besties Becca, Jodes & Gee. The sleepover was hosted in the most amazing 3 bedroom suite, Taj 51 Buckinghamgate, I had a real 'pinch me is this real life moment' because it was such a dream to be staying there. Everything about the hotel was perfect, from the beautiful Blossom Tree & water fountain (fun fact - it was gifted by Queen Victoria!) in the grounds, to the most attentive & friendly staff I'd be honoured to stay here again. I was treated like royalty for a weekend.

We arrived in our Kings Deluxe Three Bedroom suite at 3pm on Saturday afternoon to be greeted by the lovely ladies from The Blogger Programme & PRCo. It had been decorated with the cutest personalised balloons from Bedazzled Events & the hotel had even prepared a yummy Chocolate Cookie for us all. We were given a tour of our suite & I was practically speechless, I was blown away by how incredible the suite was & also the generosity of the brands too who had kindly provided us with hampers of goodies for our relaxing weekend ahead.

At 4pm Siobhan arrived from Ruuby to give manicures, I opted for a Shellac in the prettiest pink polish called 'Blush Teddy'. It was nice to be able to have a manicure in the comfort of our Suite rather than being in a salon so I'll definitely be doing that again! After our nail treatments it was time to go & open our amazing hampers, it felt like Christmas having so much to open & look through. The hamper included Missguided Pyjamas, Pretty You London Slippers, Haircare products from Schwarzkopf Got2Be, Sheet Masks from Masque Bar, an Eye Mask from Silk Skin, Norvell tanning products, a Happiness Planner & the sweetest smelling JewelCandle. In addition to this Clarins provided us with a big bundle of beauty products. If you want to watch us opening up our hampers then Becca, Jodes & Gee captured it perfectly in their vlogs!

After our huge unboxing session it was time to get open the Deliveroo App & order food! We ordered a massive feast from Nandos, Pizza Express, Ed's Diner & some yummy Macarons from Dominique Ansel Bakery. We were going to celebrate our girly weekend by ordering a bottle of champers from Veuve Cliquot but unfortunately it closed as we were about to place an order. I absolutely love Deliveroo, being able to order food from my fave restaurants is the best, whats better than tucking into Nandos whilst chilling on the sofa with your besties!?

After dinner we rented a movie from the hotel & had Popcorn delivered to the room, such a lovely touch. I also tucked into the prettiest cupcakes from Sweet Beas Bakery, as well as being super pretty they tasted absolutely delicious too. I was itching to make use of the gigantic bath tub in our ensuite so I ran myself the biggest bubble bath of my life with the hotels Darjeeling bath soak. Whilst the bath was filling up I removed my makeup with the Instant Eye Makeup Remover & Pure Melt Cleansing Gel from my Clarins hamper & popped my Missguided pjs on the towel rail so they would be toasty warm once I was out of the bath.

Waking up in the comfiest bed I've ever slept in was a perfect start to Sunday morning. I felt so refreshed - despite only falling asleep in the early hours of the morning after a big catchup, a mini getaway with my girls was exactly what I needed to relax & rejuvenate. We had breakfast down at the hotel & then headed back to our room to take photographs & pack up our suitcases. I took the time out to reflect on my weekend by filling out my new Happiness Planner whilst I sat on the windowsill overlooking the beautiful hotel grounds.

The final treat of our sleepover weekend was Alice in Wonderland themed Afternoon tea, this was such a magical way to end the most perfect weekend. I couldn't get over how adorable all the miniature food was & got very snap happy indeed so prepare for a bit of a photo spam below! I'd highly recommend having afternoon tea at Taj51, especially if you're looking for something a little different from the traditional type.

The Highlighter Palette You Need In Your Life

This little beauty has been my go-to highlighter for several months & even during my "blogging break" it was always on my mind to share this palette on here. The Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette is contained within a luxe rose gold compact, making it hard to believe that it retails for under £10. The four shades are all equally as dreamy, with one cream formula, two baked powders & one silky shimmer.

Ecliptic is the only cream formula, in a light Rose-Pink colour with warm undertones & a pearly finish. It's quite sheer but easy to build up to achieve the desired look. I tend to use it when I'm in a hurry as it's so quick to apply & rub in for a subtle glow. It's also great to use as a base if you want to "glow" all out with your highlight as you can apply one of the powder shades on top for a more intense look.

It turns out that the shade I thought I'd get the least use out of is actually my most loved, Hemisphere. It's a beautiful Pinky, Lavender shade that provides a pretty, luminous glow & I love it. I've had so many people asking me what highlighter I use because I wear it religiously right now. It's what I'm wearing in the above photo & as you can see my highlight is poppin'!

Subsolar is the pale yellow shade which tends to be quite a typical highlight colour. It's in a silky sheen finish so it adds a nice amount of glow without being overly shimmery. It's actually my least used shade although I know it's really popular with other people, I just find the other shades sit better with my complexion.

The last shade to mention is Equinox, a bright Coppery Peach with metallic finish, similar to that of Hemisphere. The warm golden hues really brighten up my makeup look when I feel like I need a bit of oomph.

I'd say the Solstice palette is absolutely perfect for pale skinned gals like myself & the Cleopatra's Kiss palette is more suited to warmer skin tones. However I still really want to get my hands on it as I'm so impressed with my Solstice palette, each shade is really pigmented & the quality is amazing.

8 Ways to Get Cosy

I don't know about you guys but for me there is nothing better than fresh bedding, new pjs & all of the pug cuddles. It's my favourite way to get cosy, add in a candle, a mug of warm tea, a good book & voila you've got a perfect night in. Yeah, I'm a very wild 25 year old!

We spend a huge chunk of our time asleep so I enjoy treating myself to bedtime luxuries like soft new pyjamas & crisp, clean bedding. In fact I'm pretty sure my pyjama pile is greater than my everyday clothing but I'm totally okay with that. I'm a bit obsessed with my latest pair of pjs, the Chelsea Peers Macaroon Pyjama Set* because well, firstly THEY ARE COVERED IN PASTEL MACAROONS = mega Instagram points & secondly they are the comfiest jim jams I've ever worn. I posted a snipped of them on my Birthday Instagram photo & seriously I felt famous for the day, my DM's had never been so busy! You all wanted to know how to get your hands on these super cute pjs & I urge you to all hurry up & head over to MandM Direct because they are on sale for less than £14!!
Lets get cosy...
1. Stating the obvious here seeing as though I've already banged on about it in this post but comfy PJs/loungewear! 2. Pop on some fluffy socks too for extra cosiness. 3. Blankets, blankets & more blankets! Making a blanket den on the sofa & snuggling on down is my favourite hobby. 4. The biggest bubble bath you can imagine. Run a hot bath with a LUSH Bubble bar, throw in a bath bomb for good measures & soak until you're all wrinkled up! 5. HOT CHOCOLATE. I'm a big coffee drinker but you can't beat that taste of delicious melted chocolate, whipped cream & a heap of marshmallows. 6. Light lots of candles. 7. Cuddle up with your bf/gf/friend/pug/a pillow (lol) 8. Wrap up in your warmest jumper & biggest scarf, then adventure out into the fresh air.

Hello Kitty Tangle Teezer

In my teens I was that girl obsessed with Hello Kitty, you name it & I most probably had the merchandise! As I'm sure you can imagine I was estatic when I was invited to the Hello Kitty x Tangle Teezer launch, being given the opportunity to have afternoon tea with Hello Kitty was like having all my teenage dreams granted at once. The Hello Kitty collaboration comes in two colours, black & pink, both with an adorable polka dot print & of course the sweetest Hello Kitty design. I can't actually decide which is my favourite though, I'm a lover of all things girly & pink but also a big fan of monochrome too. The Tangle Teezer Compact Stylers are a handbag essential for me, the protective cover ensures the bristles don't get damaged so I can conveniently keep my hair knot free whilst on the go. Since discovering Tangle Teezer I've never used another brush, with my hair being so thick & frizzy they make brushing my hair much easier & completely pain-free. Love Carex

Until I moved into my own home last year I didn't really give a second thought to hand wash, however now I'm always on the hunt for pretty bottles to sit on my bathroom sink. I'm quite fussy when it comes to scents too, they either need to be sweet or fruity so when I discovered the Carex Fun Edition range I was in my element. The Cola Bottle one is up there as my most loved hand wash, the sweet, fizzy fragrance is surprisingly refreshing. Another reason why I like Carex hand wash so much is the fact that they are so moisturising yet still kill 99.9% of bacteria so I know my hands are squeaky clean, but still super soft too. All Carex products are dermatologically tested by experts to ensure our hands are cleansed & protected.
Recently I went down to the 'Love Carex' event held at Mr Simms Sweet Shop in Liverpool ONE to celebrate the launch of the Fun Edition Love Hearts Hand Wash that hit the stores in June. Obviously I was really excited about the new hand wash as I love all things pink, cute & girly, plus Love Hearts are one of my fave sweeties so it is literally perfect for me!

With the new hand wash being inspired by the retro Love Heart candy hosting the event at Mr Simms was the ideal location. The store was decorated with eye-catching window displays & sweetie displays to create some excitement and to highlight the fun side of Carex. Customers had the opportunity to pose for a photo with the selfie frame & could take home a free bottle of the Love Hearts hand wash if they spent over £3 in store.

The new Fun Edition Love Hearts Hand Wash can be found in Tesco for £1.40 a bottle, will you be picking one up? I know I'll be stocking up, I need an unlimited supply it's so good!

Whats In My August Makeup Bag

It's time to show you all what's been lurking inside my everyday makeup bag throughout the month of August. There are some new products & some all time favourites, rediscovering makeup items is always a good feeling!
The foundation I'm using the most is the L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation that you may recognise from my July Favourites. Another item that featured in my favourites is the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer, it's a cream formula & infused with Coconut Water that helps keep skin moisturised. I'm really enjoying the combination of the light coverage foundation & the concealer to give me extra coverage where needed. I've finally got my hands on NARS Orgasm Blush & I only wish I had picked it up sooner. It's such a beautiful warm pink with golden shimmer through it that adds a pop of colour & glow to my cheeks.
A long time favourite is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, that I've been using on & off since I was about 15. I always find myself coming back to this stuff, it's only £4 & is one of the best powders I've tried. Another product that has remained in my makeup bag for what feels like forever is the ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown. I reckon this is always going to be a staple of mine! I have however added another brow product into my routine, the Eyeko Brow Gel* this just ensures my brows don't budge at all, sometimes I end up with half brow by the end of the day otherwise. Another Eyeko item has joined my makeup bag this month, the Eye-Do Mascara*, designed by Alexa Chung herself. The brush on this is insane, which creates big, fluttery lashes for me, love it!
If I've been in an eyeshadow wearing mood I've chosen to use my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, which I'm ashamed to admit has been very neglected. I'm so glad I rediscovered it because I'd somehow forgotten how buttery soft & pigmented UD shadows are, it's such a beautiful taupe toned palette. And, as always I wouldn't be without liquid eyeliner, I've become obsessed with Tarte Tarteist Double Take Eyeliner. It's dual ended, with a kohl pencil at one end & the other end being the liquid liner. I mostly use the liquid liner but it's really handy having the kohl option there too if I want a more intense eye look. Wearing lipstick isn't a regular occurrence for me, although I do have an excessive amount of them so I should probably take advantage of my stash more often. On the occasions that I have wanted to wear a lip colour I've gone for Tarte's Creamy Matte Lip Paint in tbt, a neutral shade with mauve undertones.

Bathroom Beauty Picks

My bathroom cupboards are overflowing with shampoos, shower gels & scrubs, yet I haven't ever shared a bathroom style post before. I change up haircare products all of the time & I rarely have the same shower gel twice in a row (unless it's Christmas & then I have an endless supply of Snow Fairy) so I thought I'd show you all what I'm currently using.
Let's start with Shampoo & Conditioner, as that is the first thing I reach for when I hop in the shower. The duo I'm using at the moment is the Diamond Dust* range from label.m, a range that has a unique blend that includes real diamonds! My hair is left feeling seriously silky soft & as though it has been washed at a salon when I use these. Before, during & after washing my hair I comb it through using my Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash Detangling Hairbrush*, it's an absolute life saviour as my hair always knots up otherwise. It's a must have for us girls with thick, frizzy hair as it helps to keep it manageable when products have been massaged in & turned my locks into a tangled mess!
Once my hair is squeaky clean I move onto exfoliating my body. I do this around two times a week to keep my skin smooth & flake-free, otherwise I skip this step & grab my shower gel. I have so many body scrubs on the go at the moment but sometimes I want a gentle one, other days my skin is in need of a bit more TLC so a harsher scrub is required. A scrub thats a good happy medium is the LUSH Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, a bright blue sea-salt exfoliator. My shower gel of choice is the Balance Me Super Moisturising Body Wash, a luxuriously soft wash that gives my skin a hit of hydration. Sometimes before I step out the shower I will use the St. Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan (review) which develops into a light tan, perfect for my pasty complexion. It's a bit of a pain having to stand around for 3 minutes before you can wash it off but I love the glow it provides me with so it's worth the wait!
If I use the St. Tropez Tan then I often skip my moisturiser as it's enriched with sweet Almond oil my skin always feels suitably soft. Again, like my extortionate stash of body scrubs I seem to have a similar amount of body butters & lotions so I change them up depending on my mood! My most used at the moment is the & Other Stories Belleville Bakery Body Souffle which annoyingly I picked up in the sale & can no longer find. I'm so sad it's been discontinued because it's such a lovely lightweight moisturiser it's a dream to use. Oh & the fragrance is to die for if you're a fan of sweet smells!
I've also included the Zoella Le Fizz bar from her latest collection, Sweet Inspirations because if I choose to have a bath I'll often throw in a few squares of this bar. It doesn't add a lot of bubbles to my bath but it makes the water soft & lightly scented, which is nice when you don't want something too overpowering.

Primark AW16 Press Day

Primark is one of my favourite high street stores, with it's fast, affordable fashion what is not to love? As Autumn is quickly approaching I thought it was about time I shared some of the items I was able to see on display at the Autumn Winter Press Day. There was lots of blush pinks, glitter, rose gold & all of the textures you can imagine, faux fur, embroidered denim & silk to name a few. Primark have always been my go-to shop & now some of these items are starting to arrive in-store I'll be popping in every week to see what I can find!
I was able to take little Lulu Pug along with me to the press day which was the best thing ever, so scroll to the bottom of the post to see her posing away for Primark's Instagram & enjoying her new found fame!

Both of these bags scream Christmas party to me, the rose gold sequins number is seriously pretty & I'm sure I'll be seeing it all over the blogosphere!

Copper rails holding all of the new season collection, so many beautiful pieces I just wish I could have it magically appear in my wardrobe...

These rose gold brushes attracted a lot of attention & got everyone talking! I've actually seen these in store recently & they are super cheap with prices starting at £1. I decided to pick up the rose gold eyelash curlers when I saw those, they're a perfect blog photo prop as well as being useful too of course.

Primark homeware is my weakness. It's so cheap it's easy to transform a room on a budget, I'm a big fan of their cushions, throws & candles, I could spend a fortune. I got a bit overexcited when we reached the homeware section, it was like walking into a bloggers dream. Cacti, pineapples, pugs, pastel colours & copper, a perfect theme!

Pom moms are everywhere & I am absolutely loving this trend! I especially love this fun flamingo print cushion.

Eyeko Beauty Launches in M&S

Eyeko is the award-winning go-to brand for eye makeup, so when I was recently asked to meet up with them I jumped at the chance. Having only tried their Mascara & Eyeliner before I was keen to see the other products that Eyeko have to offer. Being a big fan of long lashes & cat flick liner I was excited to have a one-to-one appointment with Eyeko's head makeup artist to discover more about them & take a closer look at the products. Eyeko have recently launched counters in Marks & Spencer Beauty Hall, whenever I'm in M&S I always find myself heading to the beauty department, so I can't wait to see the new stand when I next pop in to Liverpool City Centre.

One thing that is unique to Eyeko is their no-waste squeeze mascara tubes, which is such a genius idea & one that should be rolled out by every brand! The Black Magic Mascara* has a curved brush to lift, curl & add volume to your lashes in just one coat. It has an extreme carbon black finish & a water-resistant, long lasting formula so there is no flaking or smudging.

The Black Magic Eyeliner* is a seriously pigmented liquid liner, it's intense colour pay-off makes it effortless to use & fool-proof with its precision brush tip. The formula features widelash, a tripetide blend to aid lash growth by enhancing both length & volume by up to 3 times. A little trick we were taught by the ladies from Eyeko was that the brush tip is actually removable, it can be turned around to release more liner when you think you're running out. There you go, a handy little makeup hack for you!

I'm not much of a sporty person so wasn't really intrigued by the Eyeko Sport Waterproof Eyeliner* at first, as I just didn't think it was a necessary product for me. However when I was told it doesn't budge all day long & is sweat-proof I suddenly became interested! Long lasting products are important for me when I'm doing a full shift at work, I want my makeup to stay in place for as long as possible. Together with the Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara* I've got a dream team combination! Both products are 100% Water-Proof, Sweat-Proof & Smudge-Proof, with pitch black pigmentation.

I don't often use Brow Gels as the ones I've tried in the past tend to leave my brows feeling crunchy & nobody likes a crispy brow, well I don't anyway! Eyeko Brow Gel* has a small brush, shaped so it can sweep through the brows without getting the tinted gel anywhere else. It defines each individual hair to achieve a natural look, yet keeps them in place, yay for everlasting eyebrows!

Shadow sticks are my go-to product when I'm short for time but still want to wear a full makeup look. Eyeko's Me & My Shadow Liners* are housed in a dual-ended stick, with one end being the product & the other a handy little brush. I usually smudge shadow sticks with my fingers in an effort to save time but then end up getting the excess product everywhere, so the brush is a life saviour! I can now blend blend blend quickly & easily. The Taupe shade I have pictured above is such a beautiful colour, it glides on & doesn't need a primer either as the Vitamin E enriched pigment adheres to the eyelids.
I bet you're all thinking how on earth are these products removed if they have the super staying power & intense pigmentation? Eyeko have their very own makeup remover, Mascara Off* which are 100% cotton wipes infused with Olive Oil, Aloe Vera & Grapefruit. By holding the wipes over your eyes for 5-10 seconds the ingredients soften the makeup to gently remove all traces of your mascara & eyeliner.
All my new products were given to me in the amazing 'Everything Goes With Black Mascara'* bag, I'm obsessed with the Eyeko eye print & the slogan on the reverse side is so true. It's an ideal size to hold all of my makeup essentials, it will be definitely be coming along with me on my next trip!

8 Things You Need From ASOS Right Now...

Ah ASOS, my bae when it comes to online shopping. Whenever I need a bit of retail therapy I can always count on ASOS to provide exactly what I'm after. Whether thats a cute new dress or the latest trainer trend, ASOS have got my back.
I'm obsessed with the baby pink & mint green Adidas Gazelle's that everyone & their mother seems to have at the moment. I could do with a comfy pair of shoes too so that makes them totally justifiable I reckon! This Young Bohemians Dress is so sweet, I've actually already bought it & confirm it's even nicer in real life. Another purchase I've already made is the Cactus Pjs! I know everyone is loving this set but the purple pair caught my eye with the pastel colours & at £12 in the sale I snapped them up straight away. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to knitwear, especially cardis so when I saw Jodes in this chunky rib number I instantly asked her where she had bought it from. It's so cosy & comfy, I definitely need to invest in it for the upcoming Autumn/Winter months.

Young Bohemians is a new brand to me, but one I am religiously checking out each day on ASOS at the mo! There style is so dreamy & cool, I'm actually gutted this Pom Pom Trim Top is out of stock, it keeps popping back in stock so I'm praying my size becomes available soon. I always buy my flats from ASOS, simply because they're one of the few brands that actually fit my tiny feet. I'm a size 3 but my feet are also really narrow I struggle finding shoes that actually stay on & are comfortable to wear. The Monthly Silver ones are so nice, I love a statement shoe! When I lived in London a few years ago I'd love nipping into Lazy Oaf on Carnaby Street to check out their latest collections, their pieces are so fun & playful. The Oversized Dog Shirt is perfect for a crazy dog lady like me, I love the sketchy style monochrome print. Bomber Jackets have been everrrrywhere recently & I was really undecided on whether to get one or not. I'm not usually a blush pink kinda girl but I'm trying to play around with colour these days & it goes well with my black & white wardrobe!

The Libbie Club Subscription Box

The Libbie Club is a monthly beauty subscription box in which you receive 3 full sized products for a one-off joining fee of £35. As a Libbie member you try out the products you receive, write a review on them & then hopefully influence your friends & family to give the products a go, meaning you secure next months box.
I have combined both July & August's products in the photo as I didn't have the chance to share July's box. I thought it would be a good idea to show you though as you can see the wide range of full sized products I've received so far. In August's box I received a Nizz Cosmetics Lustre Lipstick, Indeed Labs Nanoblur & Mizon Placenta Ampoule Cream with the boxes focus being on protecting & perfecting your skin for Summer.
First up is the Mizon Placenta Ampoule Cream, a hydrating & anti-ageing cream. I have to admit the word 'Placenta' threw me off a little but after reading up on it I was relieved to see its not animal but in fact nutrient-rich plant placenta. It's used to promote skin regeneration as well as help to hide any existing lines. The Hyaluronic Acid & Trehalose help your skin to absorb & retain moisture, so my skin has been feeling super soft recently! Next is the Indeed Labs Nanoblur, I've been using this straight after moisturising my skin as a primer for my makeup to sit on. Lali Shop London Boutique Experience With FarFetch

FarFetch is an online Fashion, Beauty & Kidswear website that stocks products from 400 independent boutiques around the globe. Each boutique is distinctive in it's own way, allowing FarFetch as a marketplace to bring you everything from emerging or niche designers, to big-name brands & luxe labels. It's a place to shop for pieces you won't find anywhere else online, making it a one-of-a-kind way to shop. When shopping with FarFetch each item is handpicked from the boutique & sent straight to your door, or alternatively you are able to Click & Collect at a boutique located nearby.
I had the opportunity to visit one of the boutiques, Lali Shop, in South West London & share my experience with you all on my blog. Lali Shop is run by designer and aesthete Nelli Turner, a lady who I found to be very inspiring to talk with. Nelli has captured her own personal style & reflected this in her boutique, creating a unique space for her customers. As soon as my Sister & I stepped inside the store we fell in love with everything about it. It's very different from a typical luxury fashion boutique, with a Bauhaus vibe it is not only a shop but an eclectic art gallery too.

Nelli was kind enough to introduce me to the designers she has carefully selected to stock in her shop, such as Peter Jensen, Bella Freud, Maria Black & Ancient Greek Sandals. I absolutely love the simplicity yet chic style of the Ancient Greek Sandals, I especially loved the Leopard print pair. Each label sold in Lali is very in keeping with the boutiques style, unique, experimental & exciting.

I was able to try out some of the new Season pieces, which was a real treat for me having never worn anything luxury before. My favourite item was the Peter Jensen dress pictured below, it's so different from anything that I would usually wear but I was happy to have stepped out of my comfort zone & tried something different for once.

Filling My Home With Flowers.

One thing I love to treat myself & our home to is a bouquet of fresh flowers every week. The colours they bring to the room are so uplifting & they breathe life into our very white house. It's my way of adding pops of colour, here, there & everywhere without it being too permanent. It's always so lovely to walk into a room & be greeted by beautiful blooms along with their fresh fragrance.
Whenever it's time to pick up a bunch of pretties I can always rely on Aldi or Asda to fulfil my floral needs. They both stock such a huge range & I never normally have to part with too many pennies either. Aldi was my absolute hero when Peony Season arrived, it's one of my favourite times of the year & I was able to have Peonies for £3 a bunch so I was a happy girl! Now Peony Season is over, my go to choice of flowers are sweetheart roses or a spray of Gypsophila.
I tend to use old Coffee Jars as vases as they're a decent size to hold a small bouquet in. Otherwise I will use my trusty IKEA ENSIDIG vase which is perfect for housing larger bouquets. In celebration of British Flower Week Four Walls have put together a Pinterest Inspired post with loads of ideas on how to display flowers if you're looking for something a bit different. I love the idea of hollowing out a Pineapple to host a bunch of flowers, so fun!
As well as flowers I'm a big fan of Cacti, wherever you look in my house you'll spot a mini Cactus. I'd love to invest in a huge one eventually, but wow they are crazy prices, my mini trio of IKEA cactuses will do for now!

If I ever fancy a real splurge on flowers then I head straight to Bloom & Wild, a company that deliver fresh flowers straight through your letterbox. It's a really convenient way to purchase flowers from the comfort of your sofa & they usually arrive next day, carefully handpicked & ready to be arranged. I recently attended an Etsy Event that hosted a Bloom & Wild workshop where I was able to put together my own Posy collection. Aptly named 'The Posy Party' the box includes 5 miniature bottles & a selection of wildflowers to be displayed wherever takes your fancy. I ended up with 9 posies as my friends brought theirs back to my house & we ended up placing them below my TV to spruce up the mantelpiece. They would look so pretty on their own though too, dotted around your home to add a little decoration.

July Favourites

My favourites are pretty minimal this month, it's been a busy one not giving me much chance to try anything new really.
My lovely friend, Becca, gifted me the Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer which recently launched as part of their Fall 2016 collection! I have the shade 'Fair' which is a perfect match for me & my pale complexion. It blends beautifully, instantly hiding my imperfections & dark circles providing me with flawless coverage.
The L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation has not left my face in the whole of July (obviously I've removed it before bedtime though...) it's everything I look for in a base product & more. Cushion Foundations are pretty new to the market but most people seem to be loving them & I certainly do. You literally tap your makeup brush into the 'cushion' which is a sponge filled with product & apply it to your face. The formula is very light but extremely buildable so you can easily achieve the coverage you desire.
Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Cream has been my go-to moisturiser of the month. It's light, sinks in quickly & has a lovely sweet Vanilla & Almond fragrance. I'm also obsessed with the packaging, so simple yet really attractive looking - especially in blog photos ;)
Tartelette Tease Clay Palette is another gift from Becca, aren't I a lucky girl! It houses six dreamy eyeshadows, ranging from a light pink to a plum with a couple of shimmer shades as well as matte ones. It's the perfect palette to pop in your travel bag as it's pocket sized & contains enough pretty shades to create a look for every occasion.
It's a well known fact that I'm pretty damn lazy when it comes to moisturising my body. I mean I wish I wasn't but when I've just hopped out of the shower the last thing I want to be doing is freezing my butt off whilst I rub moisturiser everywhere. I received the Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion in my July Libbie Box (I'll be popping up a post soon!) & I've actually become a big fan of moisturising thanks to this. It is such a refreshing lotion that as soon as I apply it I want to keep on applying it, I can't get enough of the fresh Lemongrass fragrance & the way it makes my skin feel revitalised.
And, finally I have been loving my Rose Gold Eyelash Curlers from good ol' Primark. At only £1 they're a huge bargain & an Instagrammable bargain at that! These work a treat & give my lashes a perfect curl.

August Goals

I love doing these posts at the beginning of each month as it gives me something to check back on whenever I hit a bit of a slump. It's good for me to set a few goals that I hope to achieve because otherwise I tend to slack & tell myself I can do it tomorrow instead.
One - Be more creative. You may know from Twitter/Instagram that I've been hanging out with Becca & Jodes this week, they've been staying at mine & seeing them both work so hard on their content has really inspired me to get going again. This afternoon I had a huge photo session with them & absolutely loved working around other creative people. It was such fun to bounce ideas off each other & see what the outcome was!
Two - Look after myself. I've been feeling very low about my appearance for a long, long time & I'm so fed up of feeling this way. I am desperate to get my teeth fixed so that I can smile with confidence, it's been on my mind for years but I never get round to booking a consultation because I'm so ashamed of the state of them. I also could do with changing my diet, not in a drastic way but less sugar & perhaps a bit more exercise would probably make a difference to my energy levels.
Three - Read a new book. Reading is one of my favourite pastimes & I definitely need to take more time out to curl up with a book. I have a huge stash of unread books that I need to work my way through!
Four - Finish our bedroom. It's so close to being complete now it just needs a few final touches & then I'll be happy. I'm having a little makeup station built into the alcove this weekend & our floors could do with another layer of paint. Our bedroom is even better than I imagined it to be so I can't wait for it to all be done, I might even do a bedroom tour if anyone wants to see!

Toni & Guy Wigmore Street Salon Review

I was lucky enough to be invited to have my hair done at the Toni & Guy salon on Wigmore Street last month, I had been desperate to get my Ombre style covered up so it was the perfect treat for me. I go to London almost every week at the moment so I opted for a London based salon but Toni & Guy have salons all over the country, you can find out your nearest salon here. I've had my hair done at a Toni & Guy Salon in my hometown & had amazing experience there so I knew I'd have the same, if not better experience at the Wigmore Street branch.
I had my colour done by Siobhan, who had the prettiest shade of pink hair, it kinda made me wish I was brave enough to go for a fun hair colour! Siobhan chatted to me about my options as I didn't want to take my hair too dark but I still wanted to ensure the bleached ends of my hair would be covered. Siobhan helped me to pick out a warm, brown shade that would suit my complexion & conceal the brassy blonde Ombre I had going on.
My haircut was done by Hayley, I had a pretty awful haircut a few months ago which had left me with very blunt layers which I absolutely hated so you can imagine the relief I felt when Hayley said she would be able to sort them for me. My layers are pretty longer but she blended them beautifully to sit a lot more naturally, rather than them looking choppy. I didn't want much else changing in terms of the cut, just a simple trim to tidy up the ends & freshen up my fringe. I love the way Hayley styled it too, with bouncy, soft waves to complete my new hairdo!

As you can see from the above photos my dip-dyed hair is no more & instead I have my brunette barnet back, which I am over the moon about! I feel like it's made me look healthier & suits me much better than the yellow toned Ombre I had previously.
I couldn't recommend Toni & Guy more if I tried, its my absolute favourite Salon to go to if my hair is in some serious TLC. I can completely trust the Staff, they always listen so carefully to my requests & I leave the salon feeling 100% satisfied with my new hair. The Wigmore Street Salon is absolutely beautiful & was made to feel very welcome at all times by the lovely staff. I was provided with as much Coffee as I wanted, ice cold water & plenty of magazines to flick through whilst the hair dye was developing. I'm so thankful to the guys at Toni & Guy for arranging this hair appointment for me, it's made me fall in love with my hair again & I feel so much better about myself. It's amazing how much a bit of hair dye & cut can make you feel much more confident about yourself again. I've also been absolutely spoilt & treated to a selection of Label:m haircare products that Toni & Guy use in their salons, the Diamond Dust range is my favourite so far but I have a separate post planned to share them with you all soon.
