&lt;li&gt;1/2 chicken ~ cleaned and pat dry *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;3 tbsp galangal paste *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 tbsp chilli powder *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 tsp turmeric powder *&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1/4 tsp garam masala *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1/4 tsp cumin powder *&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1/4 tsp coriander powder *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;4 tbsp buttermilk / yoghurt *&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;3 tbsp any chicken frying flour *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;salt to taste *&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;3 large onions ~ sliced into rings&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 sprigs curry leaves&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;oil to fry&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Method :~&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;In a large bowl, mix together ingredients marked * and allow to marinade for an hour or longer.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Deep fry the marinated chicken pieces in oil until cooked. Rest on paper towel or wired rack with a plate to collect excess oil.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Now, mix the onion rings and curry leaves into the leftover marinade mixture.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Deep fry until they turn crispy. Spread over the fried chicken before serving.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enjoy the dish while hot!&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Note: Blend chopped galangal with very little water to get the paste thick.&lt;br /&gt;

How many of you are true curry lovers? I love curries that are made thick with loads of spices. My chicken and mutton curries must have the most spices because they can simply make your curry really aromatic and super delicious. But of course not over the quantity needed.&lt;br /&gt;

Today, I feel so proud to have &lt;span style="color: magenta;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Ms Swasthi&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; to make a guest post in my space. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;Ingredients :~&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;
*700gm shark pieces, skinned and cut into 1/2 inch cubes &lt;br /&gt;
*2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste&lt;br /&gt;
*2 tbsp chilli powder&lt;br /&gt;
*1 tsp turmeric powder&lt;br /&gt;
*1/4 tsp ground blackpepper&lt;br /&gt;
*1/4 tsp ground cumin&lt;br /&gt;
* salt to taste &lt;br /&gt;
oil for frying&lt;br /&gt;
3 onions ~ thinly sliced&lt;br /&gt;
2 sprig curry leaves&lt;br /&gt;
4 pcs dried chillies ~ sliced&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;&lt;b&gt;Method :~&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Rub fish cubes with all the ingredients marked *. Allow to marinade for 1 hour.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Deep fry the marinated fish cubes in oil until cooked. Set aside on a paper towel.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Leave about 2 tbsp oil in the wok and stir fry sliced onion, curry leaves and dried chillies until they turn a little brown.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Add in the fried fish cubes and mix evenly. Dish out and serve ;)&lt;/li&gt;

kids, my brother and myself had a weakness towards Fish fingers, every 
time we went out for a dinner at our favourite restaurant we used to 
order a plate crispy yummy fish fingers. While watching tv on a usual 
afternoon &amp;nbsp;time, I got to see a cooking show on fish fingers, and that 
just reminded me of &amp;nbsp;how long have I made these yummy crisps.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="color: #c27ba0; font-size: x-large;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Ingredients:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 lb Fish fillets ( cut in finger size)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
2 tbsp All purpose Flour / Maida&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 tbsp Corn flour&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
1 tbsp Red Chili powder ( adjust accordingly )&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;2 tsp Worcestershire sauce&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
2 tbsp Lemon Juice&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 tsp Pepper&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
Salt to taste&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;1 Egg ( beaten )&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
1 - 1 1/2 cups Bread Crumbs&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Oil&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; margin: 0px;"&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; margin: 0px;"&gt;
&lt;b&gt;Method:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; margin: 0px;"&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Marinate the Fish with flour, cornflour, chili powder, sauce, lemon juice, pepper and salt for atleast 2hrs.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Beat the egg well. Dip fish in egg and then roll in bread crumbs one by one.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Heat oil in a Kadai and deep fry until cooked.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Serve hot with a sauce of your choice.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;

We took the kids to their favourite spot...&lt;i&gt;Grand Lexis&lt;/i&gt; (formerly known as The Legend International Waterhomes). Yup, it&amp;#39;s the same hotel that has chalets with attached pools. Her blog is one yummilicious space that you must visit when you blogwalk. She has various collections of recipes that can make you helpless on which to choose because everything looks so good and yummy! I&amp;#39;d sometimes just drool looking at her creations and forget to comment, lol!&lt;br&gt;

Kavitha is a very famous food blogger. The large number of followers, on both her blog and FB says it all. But being famous did not stop her to make her very first guest post, that too on my space! Now, how cool is that!&lt;br&gt;

My &lt;b&gt;Amma &lt;/b&gt;turned a year older today. Wish her a blessed birthday and a healthy long life ahead. Usually it should be others treating a birthday baby, but it&amp;#39;s other way round in our case. I requested my Amma to make my favourite dishes with &lt;i&gt;Sura &lt;/i&gt;(&lt;b&gt;shark&lt;/b&gt;) on her birthday.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
She prepared a superb lunch for us today with her delicious and scrumptious Sura Curry, Sura Puttu, Sura Varuval and Mustard Green Stir Fry. I had double serving with white rice...lol! &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
We bought her her favourite Cheesecake when we visited her after kid&amp;#39;s school over.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
I shot this cake using my Galaxy Note at the bakery upon purchase ;)&lt;br&gt;

Her blog is one droolworthy space that you&amp;#39;ll need extra tissue papers to carry along. I adore her simplicity in her blog posts. She was one of the early volunteers who readily emailed me her recipe and photos to be published for the guest post series. &lt;br&gt;

writings actually as Love is an excellent cook, writer as well as good 
in photography. But despite all those skills, Love whom I know just thru 
the web, is a kind hearted person, jovial and down to earth kind of 
person. And guess what, Love is among the bloggers that first joined my 
blog when I first open it up to the public.&lt;/span&gt;

 and has been blogging &amp;quot;openly&amp;quot; only last year June. Between 2009 to 
last year, my blog was mainly about family and only open for family. But
 since becoming a full time house wife last year, my passion on cooking 
and baking started to grow which only then I decided to open my blog to 
public and started to get acquanted with food blogger all around the 
world. I find it has a lot of excitement which encouraged me to keep 
continue to blog.&lt;/span&gt;

&lt;span style="color: purple;"&gt;&lt;br&gt;The recipe which I am going to share is a well known Malay dish and 
cooked normally during the Hari Raya festivities ~~ Rendang Pedas Ayam 
Kampung. This dish is one of my MIL&amp;#39;s favourite recipe love by the family 
so much especially by my late FIL. I remember we use to buy old chicken 
each time we went home to my MIL&amp;#39;s, coz my FIL love to eat Rendang Pedas
 Ayam. Its very hard to get ayam kampung then, so we will substitute it 
with old chicken instead. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;
&lt;span style="color: purple;"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

I&amp;#39;m sure the word &amp;quot;Eggless&amp;quot; is everyone&amp;#39;s favourite now! Mine too, I&amp;#39;d try to omit egg in desserts and cakes if have to.&lt;br&gt;

Today, I&amp;#39;m gonna share with you one of the first desserts I made in early days of my cooking era. At that time, I was totally a newbie not knowing many of the ingredients in a recipe. Never knew agar-agar powder existed! I&amp;#39;ve only seen the string types of agar-agar, lol!&lt;br&gt;

&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;First of all let me thank you for accepting my request to do a guest post for you. My blog (&lt;a href="http://sweettoothraf.blogspot.com/"&gt;sweettoothraf.blogspot.com&lt;/a&gt;)
 is not even a month old and I am super excited to be submitting a 
recipe to be posted on your blog. I just love your recipes and drool 
quite a bit on your cake pictures especially. If you ask me if I have 
tried any of your recipes, I have tried the sausage and shrimp stir fry,
 and I mixed that with pasta and it was absolutely amazing! I have also 
tried the moist chocolate cake and it was yummy. Next, I have in my list
 to try the Horlicks brownies, which I may be able to try once my HB 
allows me to get the bottle of Horlicks into the home. He thinks that 
rather than me giving it to the kids, I may just go ahead and dump it 
into my system!!! :)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

residing in Dubai, UAE - we are always called Malabaris over here, the 
Arabs just love to call us so!!! :) I&amp;#39;m a full time working mother with 
two beautiful daughters and definitely I feel blessed to have my HB who 
has been a big support throughout. My blog started after months of 
contemplation whether to start an exclusive cooking blog, as I do not 
consider myself a blessed cook, but then I realized that the more I 
share, the more I will be able to learn from many other fellow bloggers 
all around the world. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;span style="color: #45818e;"&gt;OK, the recipe I wish to provide you is basically 
Kerala fried chicken, but baked. Even though I love chicken in any form,
 the idea of deep frying really gets me off. It scares me... the 
enormous amount of oil to be used kind of puts me off. Ever since I 
bought my microwave grill convention oven, I&amp;#39;ve been baking my chicken 
and it is as good as the fried ones. Maybe, not as tasty, but then the 
feeling of it being healthy is definitely a big yes.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Tangyuan&lt;/b&gt;, as the unique name it has, is a famous Chinese dessert. Tangyuan are little round dumplings, made from glutinous rice flour. They are formed into small balls and cooked in boiling water prior to adding in sweet ginger syrup or just sweet broth. Some prefer to fill the balls with sesame paste, red bean paste or peanut paste. Some prefer unfilled, just plain balls. I belong to the latter! So do my Mum...she&amp;#39;d always tell me that this is her favourite dessert. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
I love colorful unfilled Tangyuan. Some calls it Rainbow Tangyuan.&lt;br&gt;

I have something special for you on this auspicious day! Allow me to introduce a good friend of mine, whom I&amp;#39;ve never met before in real but had just known through Bloggywood. She was one of my Giveaway winners last year, and our friendship blossomed ever since I contacted her.&lt;br&gt;

Her blog is one super cool cyberhome which never ceased to amaze me and her readers. A creative cook and baker, her presentations and food art are simply mind blowing! Her desserts can make anyone go weak knees. She is my &lt;i&gt;Queen of Desserts&lt;/i&gt;,&lt;b&gt; Ms Amelia&lt;/b&gt; from Johor, a southern state of Malaysia. &lt;br&gt;

When I text Amelia to invite her for a guest post in my blog, she didn&amp;#39;t hesitate but gave me a &lt;i&gt;yes &lt;/i&gt;rightaway.  a full time working mother with 2 wonderful children.  My passion are

small bites size pastries filled with pineapple jam and can be made into
 different shapes like pineapple shape, flower, Nastar roll, etc.... 
It&amp;#39;s very rich and buttery and melt in the mouth texture. The pineapple 
jam is usually made by slowly reducing and caramelizing grated fresh 
pineapple that had been mixed with spices and sugar. &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

We&amp;#39;ve been planning on Rishie&amp;#39;s room makeover ever since we moved to new home. And it happened this month, when Hubby was back for his break. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
It&amp;#39;s a major project from re-painting his room and furnishing with built-in wardrobe, a display cabinet and a study table with top cabinet. Everything was specially built for his room.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Hubby also brought in some superheroes wall stickers from the US...we did the sticking part at the end of the project. The room was locked for 2 weeks and Rishie had no idea what is going on in his room. We just wanted to surprise him...and yes we did it!&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Thought of sharing them here...so here you go! Unable to take a shot of his wardrobe which is behind the bathroom wall.&lt;br&gt;

Seeing you all again on a fresh 2013! Happy New Year...wishing everyone a peaceful and beautiful year ahead!&lt;br&gt;

Our new year kicked off with some firecrackers by Hubby, a colorful beginning indeed! Rishie has moved a level up to Primary Year 3 and Ashika started her kindergarten too. The house is definitely dull without them, seriously no fun! I wait impatiently for their return everyday... ;)&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Now, moving on to my Crab Curry today. For your information, I don&amp;#39;t like crab. Nothing due to allergies but I just never liked it since my younger days. My Mum makes delicious crab curry but I would only have the gravy but not the crab.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
My Hubby and son are true seafood lovers...be it prawn, fish or crab. My Hubby, knowing my dislike for crabs, never forced me to cook. Until one fine day, I was watching my Aunt preparing the ingredients for crab curry, looked really easy! I watched her making the crab curry until she served and thought to myself that I should give it a try, at least once! &lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
I also had a guilty conscience that I never made a dish which is really loved by my Hubby and son. Thus, I told my Hubby that I will cook crab curry soon!&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
We bought 3 pcs of XXL sized crabs at Tesco. Not sure on how to clean it, we requested my Mom to help demonstrate the cleaning and cutting, hehe!&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
Finally, I made crab curry and believe me or not...it was a hit!!! Both hubby and son gave very good reviews of my curry, saying it&amp;#39;s really good! Son gave me 100/100! That&amp;#39;s a WOW for me as a first-timer. Guess I gonna cook more crabs now onwards! It&amp;#39;s really satisfying to see my beloved ones enjoyed the dish. &lt;br&gt;

Enough of that, let&amp;#39;s check out my Crab Curry...of course as per my Mum&amp;#39;s recipe! Sorry I did not have the patience during photo shoot as our tummies started to grumble quite early...haha! Again, I only had the gravy :)&lt;br&gt;

I used to have this dish during my younger days. It&amp;#39;s my Aunt&amp;#39;s recipe and I&amp;#39;m sharing here with you! The dish may sound weird to you but I just love it! Am not a person who can have bread with butter and jam spread. It should be either toasted with butter and sugar / cheese / egg for me.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
I still remember those days when my Aunt makes this simple bread &amp;amp; egg stir fry. A good way of finishing leftover bread! Somehow the idea struck my mind when I was planning our dinner last night.&lt;br&gt;
