Yea I know it's been so long since I blogged!! But I been away for a reason... I been on a wanderlust lately but now I'm back in track and will be updating more of my adventures and activities. Gal-loween Event at Royal -T Oct 26

I will be in the fashion show, its going to be fun and exciting!! Yay!

Tune in Tokyo announces "GAL-LOWEEN" hosted by KIMIMELA GALS at Royal/T Cafe, Shop, & Artspace on Wednesday, October 26th! It's our first Halloween party at LA's most authentic and elegant Akiba-style maid cafe! We're welcoming a special guest from Japan for this event, J-Pop artist MOOMA! There will also be a fashion show sponsored by ShibuyaLA and Kigurumi Shop, and vendors selling Gal & Lolita clothing and accessories.

We will have DJs in front and back, spinning J-Pop, K-Pop, Shibuya-kei, and dance and Indie from Spain, Turkey, France, and across the globe in the cafe area! Our club room will feature J-Pop, K-Pop, Japanese Electro, and anime music all night, plus a special live performance by Mooma!

We will also be hosting vendors, with our guests having the opportunity to purchase unique Japanese fashion and music merchandise! Participating vendors include Kawaii Carnival, ShibuyaLA, MugiBunny, and more!

Halloween costumes, cosplay, and Gal Fashion encouraged!

Admission is $10, all ages admitted. The event runs from 8 PM - 12 AM. The cafe will also be open, offering a special event menu.

Okay its official! Gal Meet at the Getty Center, Los Angeles on Sunday, Oct 23, 2011.

Meet and greet beautiful gals in Los Angeles. This is a Potluck Picnic meet where we can learn and share things we love about Gyaru Fashion or just wants to come and make some new friends. Just chill, relax, and enjoy the museum.

Potluck style so I encourage everyone to bring something to share. Like BITE SIZE food appetizers, sandwiches, obento, desserts, chips, cookies, anything yummy. be creative! home cooking!

Afterwards we will be walking around the museum. so DON'T bring too much food.

Today I was suppose to meet with Nana, Ami and her friends but it ended up just Nana and myself. I actually enjoyed the time alone with Nana cause we both can learn and get to know each other better than hanging out in a big group. I find it harder getting someone's attention when I'm hanging out with a huge group. Though it is a great opportunity to meet then greet on the second time around. Our initial plan was to go to the Cherry Blossom Festival happen near Little Tokyo. But we never found where it is!?!?! When we did ask a person where the festival, he didn't know either.... (asking the wrong person) So Nana and I wander around Little Tokyo telling each other where we like to go, which areas are best, etc. It was such an great experience there are many new discoveries beyond every person I meet. I love it!

My coordinates for that day... I try to dazzle it up a bit due to my dull room.

While walking we came around a mob of cosplayers... I wanted to get a picture of some of them. so I asked a girl if we can get a picture. Then she suddenly screamed, "Picture Time! Picture Time!" we had the mob surround us to let us take the picture.... Haha it was quite scenic.

While we were taking pictures infront of the mirror, a man walked by. It was really awkward cause we were the only ones there and out of nowhere this man comes walking by looking strangely at us.

On 1st street we spotted a new restaurant.

With such a irresistibly cute logo, we decided to come in.

Nana and I talked about Gyaru and how we got into it. I love to share stories, tips. I figure we both have two genuine things in common, GYARU and FOOD!!!

We didn't eat breakfast and it was already past noon! Our HUNGER FACES!!

I had the Shrimp and Basil Pasta

IMO: It was really bland... very little taste. But if you add some parmesan cheese it taste a tad bit better. But I wouldn't recommend getting it again. For a place that says its famous for Pasta. This dish is no bueno. Now I have to come back and try the other goodies.

Nana got the Pork Katsu Curry. Her dish was full of flavor and crispiness... Nana said the curry is way better than Curry House. Well you be the judge! Go try! I want to come back here again and try their salad too cause they claim their known for it. This place is more of the Western Japanese restaurant. They have plenty of those in Japan and the style is exactly the same down to the placements of the utensils.

We went inside some Japanese gifts/cosmetics/toys/ everything store. Nana grabbed one of those cane.. looking like an old man...LOL

Its 4am... I'm high on caffeine still...

Instead of doing something productive I decided to rant about it here cause I can do so YAY! Nothing beats me bickering about how mentally strange I am drinking a caffeinated drink at night time when I know I couldn't sleep. ahhh!!!( !_o) I can't handle any sodas,teas, coffee or anything that has caffeine in it after 5pm or else I mind as well stay up all night playing games. I'm weak, I can't say no to a tasty drink. But in return, I'm staying up all night about it. Booo!

Earlier today I thought to myself... I should cut my hair...

Evidently I was too chicken poo to cut my own hair, so I gave my wig a trim in the bangs and cutting the whole wig shorter. I had a good reason, if you ever buy fake synthetic wigs. They are never meant to last. Well mine is long overdue and I keep cutting it shorter and shorter of all the tangle parts. I think its time for another one... maybe red? YAY!

Went to Shibuya LA Grand Opening hosted by Kimimela on Saturday, Sept 17, 2010. This store sells sexy, kawaii, japanese lingerie and bras for everyone who just wants something rather different the usual Victoria Secret. I highly recommend the bras because they just give ~~Asian boobies~~ extra padding, comfort and cuteness....Haha.

I actually thought this would be an typical opening but this event blew me away, never could I imagine meeting so many Gals in this event. Especially located in LA. I just wish I had more time to meet each and everyone of them personally. For those that I did meet! I'm glad I talked to you guys and had the opportunity to hang out!

I have no excuse, I'm just freaking ~~lazy~~ busy. But I still want to update you guys what I have been doing these past few weeks so here's some snaps to get a glimpse of what I been up to.

Everyone always say if you live in Los Angeles, then you must enjoy the BEACH. Sadly, I don't go as offend as I use to but everytime I come I always take advantage of the opportunity. The warm sandy beach, the sound of ocean clashing down the tides, and the salty taste of sweet paradise. Now all we need is a cocktail to compliment this sweet escape.

Went to an event called The Perfect Cup by Skinny Cow. For those of you who missed it, there will be another one event next year so keep on the look out! This is actually their second year doing this event. I always loved eating Skinny Cow's Ice cream sandwiches so that's when I knew I had to signed up for the event. This event was to sponsor Skinny Cow's products and also let women be aware of their bra sizes because 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong bra size. So it was actually pretty cool to get myself measure and fitted to the right ones. But I think I'm still the same size as before.

This was my get up for the event. Too lazy to do my hair so just threw on a bow.

Upon arrival I get my invitation letter and a buzzer for my bra fitting... (so high tech) it was also great cause we don't have to wait in line.

Bracelet for two wine drinks and the purple one was for bra fitting. I was also impressed that the purple bracelet has all my ID info name and such. So other people can't cheat and go in for another bra fitting.

About every 15 ~ 30 mins they always announce giveaways... but too bad I didn't win. I was gasping for excitement everytime they called my first name. But no winner... just a ~~peanut butter~~.HA!

Like said the event serve wine "Moscato" or Lemonade if your under 21.

I wanted more... two glass is just not enough.

Besides drinking they also serve some finger food...I was surprise how fast the food run out cause the server kept getting more and more almost every 15 mins... You'll be surprise how much women CAN eat. LOL.

The giveaway also includes a free makeover..... but I was just watching while I.....

eat my tasty ICE CREAM... they gave us mini sizes to try.. but this was just too much for me to eat in one serving... so I only tried a little and move on to the next tasty flavors...

I have tried 3 out of the 5 flavors they had... the third one was cookies and cream... I like cookies and cream better!

Before I left I actually made another stop for the ice cream bar because it was UNLIMITED!! I asked for more cookies and cream and this girl just gave me the STARE!!! GAHHHHH! I caught her in camera too!!! LOL. I'm evil for just posting this....Hahah JK!! I just caught her on camera. There was actually two ice cream bar so I rotate and got more ice cream to take home Muahahha!

Lots of Ladies and some husbands/boyfriends enjoying the event and eating ice cream...

They also had an picture booth but the sponsor's camera ran out of battery. Alot of people just use their own cameras...It just so happens that my EP1 camera ran out of battery as well!!!! Lucky I always have a back up camera...Yea. I'm the weirdo that carries two camera's. But this was useful why I carry it!!!

imma photo junkie... I just had to take one with the Skinny cow. Bahahah! She's skinnier than me!

By the time I was done wandering around the event, my buzzer went off. So I went to the booth for my bra fitting... They have plenty of rooms for bra fitting, took my time.

I was actually talking to the lady who was helping me get my bra fitted about this mirror.
It just makes me look skinnier!!! False advertisement there... Is this suppose to make women feel good lying to themselves?

Before any girl leaves, we get a swag bag. They gave us an skinny tee, skinny chocolate bar, coupons, yucky chocolate lip gloss along with an cheap plastic make up bag. We will have our free bra coupons mailed to us and will have to go to the nearest Macy's to pick it up. I didn't care much of the swag bag just the event itself was fun so it made my day.

After the event I headed to K-town to drop by The Face Shop to get some beauty products but they didn't even carry the line anymore...!!! So disappointed that I went to eat instead LOL.

I had Jajangmyun (Korean black bean paste noodle) Yeah way to release my anger...!!! YUM... The aroma of this dish was beating me left and right once I walked into the food court area... Everyone was eating it I SHOULD TOO!

Side note, the Ktown city center market had 2nd anniversary sale on that day and people where buying everything like HOTCAKES... every cart was filled with everything... Kimchi, Korean Paste, loads of watermelons... (Watermelons were cheap!!!) It was $1.99 USD for a giant watermelon maybe about 5 -8 lbs size... There was a raid of people after them too.. I should of filmed it too.. I was over watching them from the second floor. Imagine an Korean lady screams to her kids "Come help me get more watermelons!!!" The scene was epic.

I Dare you, hike up Mt. Baldy

Hiking or climbing?

There are many things I love. One of the many is hiking... the spectacular view and the great satisfaction of a great work out. I took the challenge of hiking up Mt. Baldy aka (Mount San Antonio) at 10,000ft elevation because I wanted to test if I had altitude sickness. Well I don't really know. This spark my interest to hiked or climbed up Mt. Baldy because its one of the highest and closest mountain around my area. I guess that is just an excuse to hike up another route ~~or I'm just crazy.~~

There are many ways to go up Mt. Baldy. Taking the Ski lift is probably the easiest and the fastest way up. It cost $20 roundtrip for the Ski lift or you can hike it. Since my friend and I arrived there late we took the ski lift. But I will come early next time and hike this place by myself.

Upon my hike we bumped into a poochi an Husky for exact. She is just so cute! Kinda wish I brought my poochi along...

We started our hike at 2pm!!! So late... but it was still sunny and HOT!

AMAZING they still have SNOW in JULY! The fun part of my hike...

I literally wanted to jump and make snow angels, but being that I will still be hiking upwards the weather will be cooler and didn't want to get wet.. so maybe next time. HAHa.

The hike was treacherous and exhausting up but we finally made it to what they called Devil's Backbone trail...the trail was really narrow and steep.

Finally after 2 and half hours hiking we MADE IT ON TOP!!! The reason why it took so long was we kept stopping for breaks because of the elevation and picture taking... finest ways to enjoy the view.

360 view of the most amazing scenery ever! Nothing like laying back and relax of your accomplishment.

Some funnies...

We were blazing down our hike because we wanted to make it to the ski lifts before they close and it only took us maybe 45-60 minutes to hike down... that is freaking fast considering it took us maybe 2 and a half hours to hike up or am I just imagining...

The next day after the hike, my legs were sore like crazy...!!! I spent the day doing nothing cause of how sore my legs were and thankfully I didn't have to go anywhere or do anything. So make sure you have the next day to rest before you hike this trail.

Recently I been watching alot of movies at home... There are some good ones to remember and ones you wished never watched. So today I like to share some amazing movies I watched and well worth your time.

This is a short film called SIGNS you can watch it on youtube here. Its about 12 mins long but sends a strong message through. I find it very charming how two people can like each other without actually speaking. Please watch!

Another one is probably going to be on the top of my movie list called Flipped.
Everyone always dreamed of how first love would be like, well why don't you let two 8th graders teach you.

I remember when I was little I use to do stupid things too for boys, but I was too dense to know that I do it because I liked them!!! This movie is just too cute... it brings back memories when I was a kid.

Aside from American movies, I watch some Japanese TV shows..
I have always been a big fan of Ouran High School Host club the anime version.

But recently Japan has announced that they are airing the live action tv show for Ouran High School Host Club and I just had to watch it. Like all Anime to Live Action. I'm kinda disappointed at how they look compared to the anime version. It's just I know they can do so much better with cosplay but in the live action, they make them look average. As always they didn't really follow the anime series which is expected. But I still like the whole fancy costumes and lovely gestures that the host club provides for the lovely ladies.

Summer Days of Fun: Vegas Style

Sorry for my long overdue post. Lately I been spacing out and really into my own world. I didn't want to force post something up my blog because I feel I should post whenever I feel like it. So now I am back in action and giving you the latest scoop of my life or any current events happening.

On my previous post I said I went to Las Vegas to visit my friends James and Rowie. They are just awesome friends to be around, aside from visiting them, exploring Vegas with locals was a new experience.

This place was off the strip of Vegas, which i very much like. It was like hidden gem restaurants around the strip.

so delicious... Ramen. We were sweating eating this, but Oo so yummy.

After that we got some coffee, from their favorite coffee shop Sambalatte.

The coffee shop had books, but we were just pretending to read hahah..

Aside from coffee they had delectable desserts, but we just couldn't eat anymore after Ramen.

After coffee we went and did some window shopping...this was pretty cool... a whole window display of old vintage singer sewing machine.

After that we were invited to come watch Jabbawacckeez show, to tell you the truth. I didn't even know they had a show like this. Until I was introduce that day. We had front row seats and clear view of the show... very cool to watch. It just makes you want to go up and DANCE!

Too bad they didn't allow us to take pictures with our own cameras.... !!!!

Rowie posted on her blog about a cute Euro town in Vegas and I commented that I wanted to go there...
See her post here. The day we went was July 4 so very few people were there... but I still enjoy the nice views of the buildings and architectural designs. The pink flowers actually lights up at night...

Next stop was SHOPPING!!!... I think Vegas H&M outdid themselves... the design of this place was out of this world!!! The vision of what my room should look like, hanging mannequin in mid air.

We were invited to eat dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower at a French restaurant... The place was so fancy and elegant. I was really under dress for the dinner because we were running around exploring in our casual clothing. This is the first time I been to a fancy restaurant like this and it was just an surprise for me.

Here was our Menu...

1. English Peas & Pea Shoots Brioche
2. Slow Poached Maine Lobster
3. Olive oil Poached Halibut with Herb Couscous and Tomato Basil
4. Sauteed Medallion of Veal with Wild Morel Mushrooms
5. Classic Creme Brulee

What I imagined, it came in giant plates and small portions. We had an 6 course meal. I thought these ity bity little food would not fill me but by dish 3 I was already beginning to feel full. My favorite would probably be the Slow Poached Maine Lobster. I know usually girls would say the Creme Brulee, but after 3 bites of that my sugar level went out of the roof because it was so SWEET.

The server brought us this plate of nothing... I was contemplating what this was? Was this finger food? Soup?

Then he poured in the soup... we all laughed and had an light bulb in our heads... said OOOOooo

I'm amazed.

My friends picked out two wines to compliment the food. Without knowing the price of the wine, I pointed out the one I liked most and it happen to be the more expensive one.

I thought it was really cool the way the host server poured out wine for us, so I asked him to redo so I can take a picture of him... haha I know I'm being silly

My dinning experience was amazing, the service was top notch. But I think I would prefer to eat out where I am comfortable with. I didn't think the food was as good as I imagine to be. But it definitely made my taste buds tingle. That is my opinion.

Overall my trip to Vegas was very memorable, I met many new friends and experience something I never did before. I had an super awesome time! Thanks again James and Rowie.

Like I said in previous post, I was lucky enough to be invited as a model for Vocaloid inspired Fashion Show. Q Pop version showcasing pieces from Sex Pot Revenge, Algonquins and Super Lovers. I had lots of fun in it, especially in the pre-fashion show, where we got our make up and clothing accessorize. I got to meet new so many people and see many of my previous friends, its always very festive around them.

Anime Expo - Day 1

Came back from my awesome crazy weekend from AX and vegas... but as promise I want to post pictures from AX in my Day 1. I recycle my old costume I made from ages ago and did a quick add on lace necklace with cuffings and threw on a wig.. So really I don't know what to call myself. A Harajuku girl? A dark maid?

I was working for these two lovely sisters for the show.

We were trying on corsets...

Corsets are insanely tight, I couldn't even bend down. But really slimming, waist size shrunk 3-4 sizes down. Amazing!

This is something new to me I never seen. Called NicoNico where we are on broadcast live over the internet and people would randomly type in whatever they want. So we can actually see it in the screen of what they are saying. It's almost like a chatroom but alot more advanced.

To tell you the truth, I wasn't really planning to go since I know how AX can cost alot of money and waiting in line after line... it will drive me nuts. But since I'm in the fashion show it makes it alot easier to digest. Plus it's been a long time that I have been in a fashion show, so I feel very honored that Tune in Tokyo have invited me in this year. I hope we will have future events like these that I can get involved in because I have some pretty crazy ideas. muhaahah......

Oh yeah! About the fashion show! We will be in Vocaloid-inspired fashion show sponsored by Q-Pop, featuring Japanese labels Sexpot Revenge, Algonquins, & Super Lovers.

Saturday, July 2. But before I knew about it, the tickets are sold out... =( But enjoy this!

Japan Trip -Tokyo [Pic Spam] Part 2

As promised I'm posting up pictures from my Japan trip back in 2009. It is always quite fun to look back and remember the memories I had. I enjoyed most was the people I traveled with. The group consist of 14 people and we were all new to the country. With no tour guide or experience we basically travel together across Japan.

Another touristy spot with Ginger...please excuse my fashion sense back then.

This is the coolest invention ever! This is actually an order machine you press which food you want and a piece of paper dispenses out. Then you take a seat and give the piece of paper to the person working in the restaurant. I really love this invention because I always take forever to order and I don't like the feeling of having the waitress wait for me.

Inside above Tokyo Tower... in my opinion you can skip this touristy spot.

I think this was in Shibuya 109. If anyone has never been there, its like a fashion shopping mall but 10 times better!

In Shibuya, rotating belt sushi.... its so cheap there 100 yen per plate. Everything is so fresh and well prepared. Also the most amazing part is in this picture you see a knob where the orange juice is, well it actually dispense out HOT WATER so you can have your hot tea while eating sushi. I'm astonished!

We were eating, a Japanese guy started to talk to us in English. It's quite an interesting conversation since his English was kinda limited but we understood each other. He was so nice too, helping us order and we asked a whole bunch of question of how to get around the area.

While everyone was sound asleep, Ginger and I sneaked out and wander around the streets. We saw this pizza place and wanted to try how pizza taste in Japan.

It's 3 am in the morning and I am up! Juiced up to tell you about my past trips. Since I have a certain request by one of my readers I decided to post up my past trip to Japan. I haven't been active on my post so I decided to blow you some awesome pictures I took from Japan and share my experience to my readers.

It was actually back in summer of 2009, but I could remember like it was last week... Who doesn't love Japan? I think everyone does! The people, food, anime, music, fashion, nightlife. The city that never sleeps. I for one would take another trip there in a heartbeat. My first trip to Japan was the most memorable one, it was the first time I hit the travel bug and really explore to a new place. My mind completely opens and my viewpoints change because of that. I think I am most surprise at how generous the people there in Japan than anything. They are also very proud of their country and honor is highly respected in Japan. I think I could go and on about Japan if I wanted to, but I think I'll let the pictures do the talking. =)

It was pretty crazy, we wanted to explore Tokyo on our own so once we landed, we were on our own. Our initial plan was to meet with my cousin and her gang of friends later so we can travel together in Japan. We did not know anyone in Japan, nor speak the language. All we had was guts to ask everyone how and where to get to get to one place to another. Also with all the maps and research that we did prior to the trip.

Our first Ramen in Japan. I remember very vividly where it was... The little Ramen stand was in the middle of nowhere... under the freeway, seating for only about 2-3 people. It look something like this..

A little shack and boiling hot ramen, welcomes me to Japan. It was kind of awkward since we had an language barrier. But we just did some universal sign language and got ourselves some ramen. Since he only know how to speak Japanese and we are just hopeless with the language since it was our first arrival. He did manage to say "Welcome to Japan" in English. He knew we were fresh off the plane hence the luggage we were carrying and the lost expression on our faces. After we finish his delicious ramen he gave us an hard boiled egg as another extra bonus of our welcoming to Japan. From then on, we started meeting more and more great and generous people in Japan.

Our first encounter in Tokyo was all these claw machines... they are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

I love their convenience stores.. opens 24hr and well stock with yummy Japanese food.

I remember seeing a tornado potato food truck last Artwalk... well sorry to say it's been so over played. Japan got it there first.. it was so yummy!

SO COOL... you wonder why Japanese people always carry cellphone charms on their phones? Because they have these awesome cute coin machine to dispense everywhere. Who can resist?

Went to Akihabara aka Electric town, famous for their computer, anime, otaku goods and new used items. We stop by into a electronic store. Looking at all on the new models of laptops.

This may look like everything is ON SALE, but really this is how they display their prices. In a very small everything store.

riding on the train is quite different in Japan. If you look closer on the floor.. people wait in a single file line. They wait until everyone leaves then enters after.I find it very interesting how this system works and how they follow by these rules. No one is scattered everywhere like Beijing.

As I recall, it was a famous Japanese Fashion Show that happens once a year. All these Gyaru girls were waiting in line to get in.

Also on the same day, we wander into a Brasil Festival. Those pineapple look mighty tasty...

Went to another Downtown LA Artwalk. This time I went there a bit late so many of the vendors were closing down. Nonetheless there were still hundreds of people roaming the streets vandalizing. Walked into this art gallery... had some pretty interesting paintings

Ginger and I went to LA Cafe this place is so cool, opens 24hr and has the best tomato basil soup and seasoned fries!!! There are always people ordering from here... serves breakfast, sandwiches, and many local cafe stuff.

We met an DJ that looks like Eminem. He was telling us how old LA use to be and how it became of now... But I had a fun time talking to him, he was also showing us some of his recordings for DJ.

Overall Artwalk is alot of fun. Downtown LA lights up on this very day and it's like a huge festival. If you don't really fancy art then you can appreciate the vibe and people around. Food trucks are mostly the main attractions and there are about 3 or 4 parking lots of them. If anyone is visiting, this is a must go event. It happens once a month, on the second Thursday of every month. See the website for more details....

After all the craziness we decided to head to Kouraku Restaurant for more tasty meal... I think they were the only restaurants that was open later in Little tokyo.

We got recommendations from the waitress to order this fried rice... I forgot what it is called but it was mighty tasty at the moment. I usually don't order fried rice from restaurants but that is something new to try.

Something new, I decided to dye my hair even darker... using Palty Deep Black. Judging from what I had before, I come a long way... Blonde to Black. I really like the Palty dye. It makes my hair looks really rich. I used many of the Palty colors and Deep Black is their darkest and blackest color. Also black hair compliments red lipstick. I miss some spots while dying my own hair. Will have to redye it again for touch up. What do you guys think?
