Hello loveleigh's!

Sorry it has been sooo long since I have posted. March was a crazy month. One of our cars was totaled (everyone is ok though!) so we have been looking for a new replacement car (coming soon!). Also, our Chachi had surgery to remove some lumps THEN decided to eat my hubby's nightguard which led to another trip to the vet. The lumps were benign (thank God!) but between the surgery, xrays for the nightguard and followup appts he was at the vet every week of March (and he HATES going to the vet....he poops as soon as we walk in because he gets so nervous). Oh, and we also had more snow. In March. So, in all honesty, I didn't really do much shopping. In fact, I thought I was going to go the whole month (!!!!!!) and not buy anything but went shopping last Sat and was able to make a few small purchases (I spent a whopping $15) right before April :)

I had a coupon for a FREE full size VS Fantasies spray at Victoria's Secret. I don't normally wear these so in I went and sprayed, sniffed and smelled all of them. I'm really sensitive about fragrances and really all of them were a little too sweet smelling for my liking. (From VS I love Pink and the Love my Body Mists in White Tea & Sage and Jasmine & Water Lily.) Since it was free though, I decided on the new Lemon Escape which is a blend of lemon sugar and coconut. I figure it will make a fabulous air freshner even if I don't wear it! (Or maybe a blog giveaway?!) ;)

So, I have been trying to figure out since the fall if I like the whole laceup/combat boot trend. I think it can look cute with the right outfit but I just wasn't sure if it was for me. Lately though (just in time for Spring-ha!), I decided I wanted a pair to throw on with some skinny jeans and a simple t-shirt for a laid back casual look. I've looked a couple places for them but really didn't want to shell out a lot of $$. I found these on Saturday.

The weather was a little chilly last night so I wore them to church with my skinnies and a long sleeved t-shirt. You can wear these a variety of ways, but I prefer to fold the tops down and wear them like this.

These look almost exactly like the Steve Madden Tarnney Boots. Here's a pic of the black SM ones.

They also have these Kody Studded Combat boot at Target (which I don't like the looks of these as much, at least in this picture. The shape of them looks weird to me.)

They don't have the black ones on the Steve Madden website anymore, but they have brown ones and they are ON SALE for $104.98! The Target ones are full price for $39.99. Mine are from Kohl's (Brand=Candies) were on clearance for $17.....AND I had a 30% off coupon.....so I only paid around $12!!!

Even if I only get to wear them a couple of times now (but who knows with our weather..sheesh) I have a feeling come fall I will get quite a bit of use out of them!

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Hello loveleigh's!

I was browsing clearance at Target (shocker, I know) and came across these mirrors. (Excuse the photo - I took it in the car!)

Our bedding has a pattern similar to this so I thought these would be fun to hang on the wall in our bedroom. Currently our walls are chocolate but we are wanting to paint and go lighter-I think more of a gray. (We are also thinking of moving!) :) I also have a gray comforter that I bought at Target last year for really cheap ($17!) that this would look really fun with if we want to change out some things. I figure we could leave these as is or we could always paint the black frame parts gray or white if we want to lighten them up a bit.

These were normally $16.99 but were 70% off so they were $5.08!! I picked up 3 of them because I thought on a large empty wall 3 would be perfect!

I Got a Dollar I Got a Dress

Hello loveleigh's and Happy Valentine's Day!!

If you know me, I'm not a super big fan of V-Day. I don't hate it or anything, I just honestly think it's overrated! I'm definitely NOT one of those girls who wants flowers and a big fancy dinner out. I do think hearts are cute (I've always been a fan) so I do have on a slightly festive outfit!

I don't shop at JCPenney much. I do get emails from them but usually just delete them. I got one yesterday that said something about $5 off. Sometimes $ off in emails can be good but most of the time it's get $ off after you spend a certain amount (Example $10 off $50 purchase). I'm not usually interested in those. All I really care about is the $ off ones where the $ off is the same amount as the minimum purchase! I've gotten a lot of things free (or had to pay very little) this way and today was no exception!

This email was for $5 of a minimum purchase of $5....however, it was only valid online. This also usually makes me uninterested because typically shipping is more than the actual item. However, I figured I'd check to see how much shipping was and found that you can ship to store for free! We have a JCP at the mall so it wouldn't be a big deal for me to pick it up in store. So, of course, I head right to the clearance section online to see if there was actually anything listed for $5. There was actually quite a bit in the Juniors clearance section starting at just $3!

I browsed through and came across this dress that was on clearance for $6.

They only had 1 size left and apparently I must have gotten the last one because right after I placed the order it says they are sold out! After putting in my $5 off code and having it shipped to the store for free my total with tax was $1.09!

Hopefully it will fit! (But if not it's not like I lost a lot of money!) ;)

Hello loveleigh's!

I have been watching these robes for a while at Target. They came out around the holidays and I thought about asking for them for Christmas. However, I don't think asking for stuff from Target because it would kill me to have someone spend full price on something that I could get later for 70% less - ha!! :)

I already have a big, fluffy, long robe that I got for Christmas last year (it even has my name on it). It's so soft and cozy...it's like wearing a blanket! It's perfect for the cold winter, but I also like having a shorter, lighter robe that I can throw on when it's warmer (or when I'm doing my hair...I get too hot in my big fluffy robe when I'm drying my hair!) so I this would be perfect! This one is short and light..it does have the really soft sherpa lining in the hood and on the bottom of the sleeves, but the rest of it is just the soft, light terry material.

My hardest decision was trying to decide on a color...and not to buy 1 in each color (I have a really, really bad habit of doing this!) It comes in pink, gray, purple and turquoise. They didn't have the pink in my size so I decided on the gray since I thought it would go with the most. However, my willpower of only buying 1 may weaken next time I'm at Target! ha! (I mean c'mon, a robe for $6.58?) :)

For those of you who like to shop way ahead, these would make great Christmas gifts for 2013!!

Seeing Sequin

I think sequin is a classic for Christmastime...I don't think it will ever really go out of style! (Now, I'm specifically referring to the element of sequin, not necessarily the item it is on!) I think there are definitely do's and don'ts to sequin and glitter, but if you do it right it's fun to wear! (though this skirt didn't end up working out..oh well!) I already wore the ankle boots to church with a dress and leggings! They are a more subtle sequin, while the gold pumps you could probably spot a mile away!! I'm not sure if I'll wear them anytime soon, but if anything, I'll save them for Christmas/Holiday parties for 2013!! They also had the pumps in black and pewter.

Thirty Three For Four at Target

I went to Target a few days ago. (Shocker, I know). It had been awhile (a week or longer) since I'd browsed the clearance and even longer since I had been to the one by my work (which is one of my fav Targets) so I went on my lunch break for a quick fix. Here are my findings! (*Keep in mind that more often than not things are always cheaper in store than online, which is the case here!!)

This is a very see thru knit sweater that is 3/4 sleeves. (You'll need to wear a cami under...personally, I would wear something either the same color or a darker color, otherwise the cami stands out more rather than blends in.)

I really, really like this dress! Besides the price, it fit me perfectly, the fabric is silky, it has a fun zipper up the back and...it has pockets!!! I love, Love, LOVE dresses with pockets!! I probably won't wear this for a while since it's more of a spring/summer dress but it's fun to buy something and save it and then when that season rolls you already have something waiting for you!

Trick or Yummy Treats

Happy Halloween loveleigh's!

As you all know, I love fall. When I was at Target a few weeks ago I walked by the cookie section and these caught my eye.

Gingerbread Spice Cookies. They sounded yummy so I figured I would give them a try. Doesn't hurt that they are all natural too!

First, they are super easy to make-they are premade/precut and come with a sugar packet inside. All you have to do is roll each one in the sugar and then put on a baking sheet and pop in the oven as directed. In about 10 minutes your house will smell heavenly and you'll have fall in cookie form.

Of course though, taste is the actual test. Store bought cookie dough can occassionally be pretty good.

Pretty Good does not describe these cookies. At all. THESE. COOKIES. ARE. AMAZING. I could seriously eat the whole batch at once (which is 24 cookies)....no I haven't done that (yet). One day I took 2 to work with me and was seriously disappointed because 2 is definitely not enough. You need to eat 4. At least. They keep running out of them at Target, so when I see them I stock up. I currently have 3 packages in my fridge right now. They say Limited Edition on the package but their website says they are available all year due to customer requests (SEE, I'm not the only one who loves them!). I hope the website is right because I might go into full panic mode if I can't have them anymore. I might be ~~slightly~~ obsessed.

Since I was so ~~obsessed~~ impressed by these cookies, I went to their website and told them! To my surprise a few days later I got this in the mail!

A HANDWRITTEN card (and a coupon!) :) This company has definitely won me over!!

So, for those of you who haven't tried these, go to their website or like them on Facebook (or both!), learn a bit about their company (they support things like art and children's cancer research!), find the nearest store to you that sells them (in my area - Target and Whole Foods) and try these delicious morsels ASAP!

Since it is Halloween, I wore black with a pop of orange today (this is as festive as I will get!)

Tonight we are going to see one of our all time favorite movies, The Young Frankenstein! We own this movie and watch it all the time but it's playing at the theater tonight so it'll be fun to see it on the big screen :) I plan on stopping by Starbucks on the way and getting a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino (since I don't like hot drinks). Sounds like a perfect Halloween to me! (If you haven't guessed the hubby and I aren't super into Halloween!) :)

Bald Head Island Fashion

Hello loveleigh's!!

We got back late Monday night from our wonderful vacation to North Carolina! As I mentioned in my previous post my hubby's cousin got married on Bald Head Island! We rented a condo with my in-laws (and yes, I DO like my in-laws!) and spent our time exploring the island on golf carts and bikes! The weather could not have been more perfect while we were there!!

Of course, I tried to look practically fashionable while there! :)

(Side Note: So, in our rental agreement for our condo it mentioned the golf carts and about towing and it being your own expense if you have to have one towed [they were referring to if you forget to charge the battery] but I thought it was funny and thought who would need their GOLF CART TOWED?! Of course, ours breaks down and you guessed it - WE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED!!! I'm convinced this happen only because I thought the idea was so funny!! [And NO we didn't have to pay because it wasn't our fault and they fixed it in about an hour!] :)

There was a SERIOUS Croquet Tournament going on while we were there. Have you ever watched Croquet? It's like watching golf...or fishing...but even more quiet...and everyone is dressed in white.

Glad I wore sleeves since it did get chilly outside at the reception. In certain light the color did/does look a little different but I don't think anyone really noticed!

An another note, I got an email from HauteLook today offering Nordstrom's 12 Favorite Mascara's for $24! (A $110 value) They are all small/mini sized (0.16 fl oz or smaller) BUT you get 12 (all different brands!) and a really cute blue and white striped bag. Shipping is $5.95 so it would be $29.95...that's about $3 per mascara and then you get the bag for free :) Stuff like this is fun because it lets you try different brands (and most of these you would pay $15-$30 for 1 full size tube!) These would also make great stocking stuffers or gifts for Christmas!!

It's a Nice Day for a Fall Wedding

Hello loveleigh's!

My hubby's cousin is getting married this month on Bald Head Island in North Carolina! Of course, one of my first thought's was....what am I going to wear?!?! I've honestly been a little fashion stressed about it! ha!! While I LOVE fall and it is hands down my favorite season, sometimes it can be a little difficult to dress for...especially when it comes to weddings! Most of my dresses (and most dressy-dresses out there) are made for warmer weather and the "warmer" dresses are usually too casual (i.e. sweater dresses) or I just don't like them.

I've been checking the weather there and it's still in the 70's during the day but in the 50's at night. Both the wedding AND reception are outside and in the evening. While I most definitely want to look cute, I also don't want to be cold and miserable!! I tried looking for a new dress (I LOVE the look of a long sleeved shift dress...think like Mod 1960's inspiration....but as you know, me and shopping for something specific don't mix.) So, shopping in my closet it is! I tried on all potential dresses with ways to "warm them up" (i.e. cardigans, scarves as wraps, lace hose, tights, etc.). I honestly usually wear black to weddings..mainly because it's simple and I just don't think you can ever go wrong with it. However, I just wasn't really feeling it for this wedding.

I have this purple dress I got at Wet Seal a few years ago for super cheap ($10 I think?). I actually wore it to a Spring wedding in 2009 but I still really like it.

I happen to have a long sleeved shirt in the exact same shade of purple as this dress.....so, I threw the dress on over the shirt and showed my hubby. He said, "See you have that long sleeved dress!" The only part of the shirt that shows is the sleeves so it really does look like it's part of the dress! Instant long sleeved dress!

I tried it on with black tights and black heels and it looked okay but not my fav. The dress isn't super short so I think I'm willing to sacrifice my legs being cold so I can wear my sparkly heels!

I'll wear my purple jeweled bracelet that is similar to this one, some fun sparkly earrings and a pretty ring! (still deciding on the earrings and ring...since this is a statement bracelet I don't want to go overboard on the ring!)

I'll complete the look with some some pretty deep plum eyeshadow (think smoky eye) and a dark, dark purple polish (Eiffel For This Color by OPI).

Voila! I'm set! Now if we can just figure out what my hubby is going to wear....sometimes having 2 fashion conscience people in the same house can be challenging! ha!! :)

8, 29 & Chicago

Hello loveleigh's!

Well a lot has changed since I last posted - I am now 29 and have been married 8 years! :) Our anniversary was on Monday and my birthday was on Wednesday!

We went to Chicago (one of our favorite city's!) over the weekend for a little getaway. It was perfect fall weather there! I definitely wore my boots the entire time! :)

First off, we stayed at the coolest hotel! It's a new hotel downtown called Acme Hotel Company. The location really was absolutely perfect and convenient to everything!! The price was good and it was a really fun hotel! We will definitely be staying here again and recommend it! Here's some pics!

Each morning they will deliver coffee for FREE to your room! You request a time the night before then they deliver it to your door at that time. They simply knock once and leave it! You don't have to worry about answering the door or tipping!

So they had these fun little chalkboards on the outside of each door and a piece of chalk right when you walk in the room. Apparently the people staying in the bottom right room had too much to drink the night before!

I mainly posted this pic since I forgot to take pics of my outfit! It's similar to the 4th outfit in my last post except I did gold jewelry, tan boots and my sweater is a cardigan with ruffles instead of a normal sweater :)

After we got checked into our hotel we went and had a late lunch/early dinner (it was around 3:30 by this time and we were starving!) We always go to Giordano's for some yummy Chicago deep dish pizza!!

Sunday we spent the afternoon at Navy Pier (Tip: There is a free trolly that runs from downtown to Navy Pier and back...we took advantage of this!). Even though we've been back to Chicago almost every year, we haven't been back to Navy Pier since our engagement! I was amazed at how different it was! No, I don't think it had really changed all that much but when we got engaged it was night time, snowing and November! Needless to say, Navy Pier was quite deserted then! However, on a beautiful, sunny, crisp fall Sunday afternoon the place was busy! It was a whole different experience! We walked around for a bit and then role the Ferris Wheel, Swings Ride and played a round of miniature golf! My hubby won....he got 3 hole in 1's!! (I only got 1!)

Monday afternoon we headed back home...via train! This is the 2nd time we have done a train ride back instead of flying and we love it!! (Though we got an amazing deal on our plane tickets-it was only $98 for us to fly to Chicago...yes that is the total for BOTH of us...thanks Southwest and your sale you had back in the summer!!) It obviously takes quite a bit longer than a plane, but it's so relaxing! We ate some snacks, took a nap, and read! (Confession: I love re-reading some of my favorite books from childhood and may or may not have read some on the train!)

Chicago is ALWAYS a great trip! While we did walk around and shop...I actually DIDN'T buy anything!!! (I NEVER thought I would say I went to Chicago and didn't buy anything!!) No, I wasn't sick. Yes, I had money to shop with. I just honestly didn't see anything I really wanted! Crazy I know!! When we first started going to Chicago they had several stores that we didn't (i.e. H&M, Nordstrom Rack and yes, even Forever 21....keep in mind we started going there 9 years ago...and we didn't have a Forever 21 then!!) Now we have all of those...while I still love to go and shop, it isn't quite as big of a deal now :)

If you've never been to Chicago, I highly recommend it! It's such a fun city with tons to do!

If you know me at all, you know I LOVE accessories!! I have an [organized] drawer full of them! As of late, I've been focused on bracelets. The stacking/layering trend is huge right now and I'm taking part! This is a fun and [can be] inexpensive trend that will help liven up your wardrobe! In fact, you may already have pieces laying around that are perfect for this and may not even realize it!

So, I went "shopping" at my parent's house again! I remembered I had these dainty little ID bracelets when I was little [like grade school age!] and I thought would be perfect for stacking/layering! Luckily I have small wrists so they still fit!

Ok so, I love the J.Crew Pave bracelet but refuse to pay $125 for it. I have found similar ones but they were either too expensive too or the really cheap ones just looked and felt...cheap. What I love about the J. Crew one is it takes something edgy and hard like chain metal and softens it with pave crystals/rhinestones. I decided to take that concept and do a little DIY project. I bought the 2 bracelets in the Gold Arm Party above for around $4.80 each. The one with bigger links actually started out silver. (Silver is all they had!) I bought this nail polish at Target for around $3....it looks like gold dust! I gave each bracelet several coats. This "softened" the look of the shiny metal and adding a hint of shimmer! I know it's obviously not the same as the J. Crew one, but this was a heck of a lot cheaper and I was very happy with the end result! I still need to apply some type of clear/top coat to them just to prevent any chips. Not bad for around $13 though :)

Chicago Is Calling My Name

Hello loveleigh's!

The hubby and I are going to Chicago soon (Fun Fact: We got engaged there!) and I am so excited! We have been numerous times (Another Fun Fact: We got engaged the day after Thanksgiving [2003] and went back every year on Black Friday up until last year!) and I always look forward to going! I'm looking forward to going at a different time than we have in the past!

I figured I would start thinking about clothes/outfits to take and decided to make some outfits on Polyvore. I realize more and more that I gravitate towards classic things and darker colors (as you will see below)! I don't think my style is boring (at least I hope not!!) but I do tend to like lots of basics mixed with a few fun pieces. Oh, and I have always been and probably always will be more matchy-matchy! I know (especially from reading other blogs) that's not necessarily the "trend". I think color/print mixing CAN look good...I just like more simple (and typically not as colorful!) :) Part of your style is what YOU are comfortable in!

Anyways, here are a few things I came up with!

I thought this outfit would be good for the plane ride and to walk around in! Maxis are so comfy and I'm

trying to get a little wear out of my new leopard print shoes from Target that I talk about in my previous post! Plus they are more airport friendly than boots and will be good for walking around downtown in!

I'm trying really, really hard not to take too many shoes! Boots take up so much room so I'm going to see if I can get by with only taking 1 pair of boots! I think my gray suede knee-high flat boots will be a good choice - comfy enough for walking around but still cute! I may wear the above on the TRAIN ride back! (Yes, we are taking the train back home - so fun!)

The only colorful outfit! (and it's mixed with gray- ha!)

I DID end up buying the denim jacket pictured above from Aeropostale that I mentioned here. It was only $20 and it fits really well (I've already wore it several times!). I'm not a fan of the plaid...HOWEVER, I either don't roll the sleeves OR I just roll them twice and you can't tell! The fabric isn't bonded to the denim so I may try to remove the plaid...I'll let you know if I do and how that goes!

Besides trying to take minimum shoes, I only plan to take 1 purse - my Vuitton!

Also, for this outfit, I have a polka dot cardigan instead of a sweater (and those are black denim skinnies-sometimes it's hard to tell!)

I figure for dinner I will want to dress up a bit more (but I'm not sure if I want to take a dress...) so these are a couple of good "dressy-but-not-too-dressy" options :) (and hopefully I can just take 1 pair of heels....Shoe total so far = 3)

These are just a few thoughts - I may completely change my mind and not take any of this or I may take some! At least this helps me organize a little!! :)

Hello loveleighs! Sorry for my lack of posting recently. Some days I'm just not motivated or feel I have anything terribly interesting to post! :)

So, I have been eyeing these sandals at Target since they first came out. I love cute sandals like these but refuse to pay $20....so I've been [im]patiently waiting for them to go on clearance! Last week they were finally 50% off and only had a couple pairs (that just so happened to be in my size). I decided to wait a little longer to see if they would go 70% off. I waited a few more days and decided to go ahead and get them at 50% off (and break my rule!). I went back to get them.....and they were 70% off!!! They still had both pairs so I was able to get these for $5.98 each :)

I won't get much wear out of these this year-it's turning cool here (yay!) and I think we had our last couple of hot days last week! I figure I can wear them a few times (think maxi dresses and a jean jacket - and YES I got one - more on that later this week!) on these last few warmer days before I'm in full on boot mode! :) While sometimes getting things at the end of the season means you don't get to wear them much, it's fun that when that season rolls around again to have something new at the beginning! (and things like these sandals will still be in style and won't scream "last year" or "last season"!)

I Hate Shopping

Yes, me, the author of this blog Loveleigh Shopaholic Confessions just said I hate shopping......for specific items.

I have been on a quest for a new denim jacket. I have one...but I need to get rid of it. It doesn't fit right and it's just not very cute. I want one that is fitted, a lighter wash and that is vintage/worn in/slightly destroyed looking. I would also like to only pay $20-$30. You wouldn't think that would be very hard to find, right? Wrong. So, so wrong.

I bought this one at Forever 21 (but it was a little darker than that and looked much cuter in person). The shoulders and arms fit perfectly, the length was good...but after getting it home and trying it on again, I realized that the waist was not fitted at all and created a boxy shape. Back to the store it went.

After failed Attempt #1, I decided to look all over the mall and went in stores I never go in. (Reason #1 I hate shopping for specific things...it makes me do crazy things! ha!) :) I went in American Eagle, Aeropostale and Abercrombie Kids to name a few.

I found this one at American Eagle....Even though it was $49.95 I still tried it on. (Reason #2 I hate shopping for specific things...I always spend way more than I want and more than I normally would) Cute, right? Nope. Like the Forever 21 one, it wasn't very fitted at the bottom either.

Next, it was onto Aeropostale. I found this one which fit really well (finally!) BUT it wasn't really the color I wanted (which I could have lived with) AND it has pink plaid on the underneath part of the sleeves. I get that you would only see the plaid if you rolled them, but I want to be able to roll the sleeves or cuff them!!! Also, at the time this jacket was full price. The website says this is now $20 (great price!!), so I'm considering going back and buying this as a 2nd option and just never cuff it. (I said 2nd option because I will keep looking for the one that I really want...wherever it is!)

I went into Abercrombie Kids (because I figured Abercrombie would be too expensive). I have shopped there in my adult life....but either I have gotten taller/bigger or everything in the store has shrunk. I get that it's a kids store, but seriously everything looked miniature. Oh, and they didn't have any denim jackets.

Sigh. Time to resort to Ebay. I've ordered a few things off Ebay, but it's hard with clothes because you don't know if it will fit. I found this jacket from Abercrombie on there. I won it for $29.10 including shipping. I got it yesterday in the mail and was hoping it wouldn't be too big. Well, it definitely wasn't too big. I tried it on and it is so cute on!!! It's exactly what I want-perfect color, perfect length, perfect distressing, looks like a perfect fit....except I feel like Randy in a Christmas Story when he has the snow suit on and can't move his arms. The arms and armpit (<--sorry, I hate that word) area are so tight I might as well be having my blood pressure checked. I tried it on several times throughout the night, thinking that it would somehow magically get bigger the more I tried it on or maybe it wasn't so bad. I don't understand - this is a Juniors small (not even an x-small) and I'm not a very big person! I'm so bummed because it's exactly what I wanted. (Reason #3 I hate shopping for something specific-you find it and it's exactly what you are looking for but it doesn't fit.) Once I fully stop being in denial that this is simply not going to work I will relist it on Ebay.

So, there you have it. I love shopping, but I really, really dislike shopping for something specific. It stresses me out, I become obsessed and I will probably end up spending way too much! I'm going to go to a few more places tonight after my hair appt (yes, today is the day for my bangs and I can hardly wait!). Wish me luck!

I went by Target on my way home from work on Monday. I had not been for about a week and was going into withdrawals! (Yes, Target is my drug of choice....and cinnamon-dolce frappuccinos.) I spent a little over $20 and came away with 2 dresses, a skirt and a pair of shoes!

Hair Talk

Hello loveleigh's! Sorry it's been a bit since I've posted. I recently went thru old photos (and posted them on Facebook!). I have so many great memories....and hair styles/cuts/colors!!

My hair has been everything from super blonde to dark brown (and several shades in between), super short (chin length bob!) to super long (waist length when I was young!), bangs (several variations), no bangs, layers, no layers, straight, curly, wavy...you get the picture...in case you don't though here are a few pics of me as a brunette and a blonde!

I stopped coloring my hair a little less than 5 years ago - I've decided I like my natural strawberry blonde/red hair (and it's soo much easier/healther/cheaper!!) :) I also like it long, and have no plans to cut it any time soon. Since I don't color my hair and don't really cut my hair (except trims....I have even grown most of my layers out!) I usually change up my bangs. Around this time every year I want to change up my style a bit and usually want bangs in some form or fashion. (Then I usually keep them for fall and winter then let them grow in spring and summer.) Right now they are just blah, so I'm definitely needing a change!! Here is a recent pic of my BFF and me at her baby shower.

I thought about continuing to grow my bangs and do a long, dramatic side swept like Candace Cameron Bure.

However, I think they would constantly get in my eyes and drive me crazy!

Whenever I see people with cute straight across/blunt bangs (every time I watch Devil Wears Prada, whenever I look at People Mag and see a celeb rocking them, whenever New Girl was on, etc.) I always say to my hubby that it makes me want them again! Here are a few I love!

Hello loveleigh's! Sorry it's been a while since I've posted.

I went to Target on Saturday and got some amazing deals!

Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors Boxy Top Tie Back Maxi Dress

These 2 dresses are not normally carried in the store. These were returns from Target.com. It said they were normally $15 but on the website it says they are $24.99. Either way, I got them for $3.76 (+ tax) each!!!!!

Normally, I always try on before I buy. I didn't have time on Saturday and unfortunately the coral dress and the tank were a little too big :( (The Cafe Latte colored dress is an x-small and fit perfectly. The Coral one is a small.) I so wish it fit because it's really cute and such a good deal, but it doesn't....so if anyone (local) wants to buy the coral dress and/or the tank from me, let me know! I'll pass on the savings to you and sell it for what I paid for it!

At least one of the dresses worked though! I plan on pairing it with some fun, bright jewelry!

Hello loveleigh's!

I still had a $20 Nordstrom Note and was browsing online and saw this adorable sweater.

I wasn't sure which color I wanted or if I should get a x-small or small. (This is one of the reasons I don't shop online much.) I checked to see if it was available in the Nordstrom by me, but it wasn't, so I decided to order the gray one in a x-small and the cream one in a small. That way, the color can be decided for me by whichever one ends up fitting the best :) After using my $20 NN (and after I return one of them), I'll only end up spending around $13 with tax (since Nordstrom has free shipping!). Not bad!

This will also look perfect with my Bow earrings & ring from Day 5 of my 1 Month of Accessories!

Fashion Craves

Hello loveleigh's!

Here are my top 5 current fasion craves.

1. Hendri Bendel Wellies in Black. I mentioned here about discovering Henri Bendel and my early birthday present. These wellies are normally $88 but the black ones are on sale/clearance for $44. Love the stripes! (I mean c'mon, who doesn't?) Plus they would match my purse :) I could see myself wearing these a lot in the fall/winter on the weekends (if we ever get to fall weather that is). I may order these before I get to the end of my post...

2. Denim Jacket-I have a denim jacket....but it's several years old. It doesn't fit like I want it to.

I tried one on at Nordstrom (I think it was this one in the dark wash). I would only like to spend $30 or under. I do have a $20 Nordstrom Note so the Nordstrom one would be around $40. I may go back and get it since this would definitely be a wardrobe staple that I would probably wear all the time. I could wear it with the Bendel boots too ;)

Here is a pic of the beautiful Vanessa Lachey pairing hers with a maxi, which I love! I love that hers has snaps instead of buttons too!

3. The Bubble Necklace Yes, I know I'm a little behind on this trend (at least in blogging world). However, I refuse to pay an absurd $150 for this. Thanks to Ebay (and China) though, I can pay about 90% less :) These are as cheap as $11.99 on Ebay. Here's the colors I'm thinking. I may order 2 now (hot pink and turquoise) and 2 later (green and blue).

4. Chambray Shirt-I realize, like #3 I'm a little behind on this trend too. I honestly wasn't sure at first if I even liked them. (I kept having flashbacks to the early 90's...I'm pretty sure I had one when I was in 4th grade...and it had pearls on it.) Plus, I've seen some celebs in them looking like they just rolled out of bed. Not. flattering. However, after seeing some cute outfits that real people are wearing, I have decided I want one (and will probably wear it often....hopefully mine won't be unflattering.) I mentioned here that I tried a few on this weekend but couldn't find the right one. I'm still looking for the right one. It will fit perfectly and be around $15!

5. Sheer Shirt-I really like this outfit I pinned on Pinterest and have been looking for a light colored sheer shirt. There is a fine line between a super cute sheer shirt and one looking like an 80 year old would wear...or like you stepped out of 1992. I have tried on a few unsuccessful ones. If at first you don't succeed, try try again, right?

I feel like I would wear all of these quite a bit. Some are wardrobe staples and others are more fun but are very versatile! Oh, and I did order the boots :) I signed my hubby up and had him "order for me". By doing this I saved 10% AND got free ground shipping (normally $9) so my grand total was $39.60 :) Yay!

The Baroness

Hello loveleigh's!

One of our favorite movies to watch is "The Sound of Music" (yes, my hubby even likes it!!).

If you have seen it, you know that Baroness Scraeder is quite the fashionista. I'm obsessed with this shirt.

Polka dots and a huge statement bow? Yes, please!! Love the strands of pearls with it too!! I would wear it with a suit like she does (with or without the jacket), or a pair of skinny pants or jeans and some fun heels!

Someone seriously needs to come out with a shirt like this ASAP. They could even name it the Baroness. I personally think it would sell....I would buy it!! You could even do different color combos and patterns...oh, how I wish I could sew. Maybe I will pay someone to make it for me....or see if I can figure out a no sew option.

All That Glitters

We all need a little glitter in our lives now and then, right? Here are a couple (inexpensive!) options to help with that :)

I bought these at Target last week for $7.48. I think they'll be perfect for fall! It's hard to tell in the pictures, but they are sort of this glittery metallic taupe color....

We all know that glitter nail polish is the trend right now. My Pastor's wife (yes, I have a really cool Pastor and Pastor's wife!) had a glitter french mani on Sunday. I really liked it so decided to try it out for myself! It was super easy to do and here's the results:

I used 2 coats of NYC Starry Silver Glitter nail polish (I got mine at Target for $0.99). It's small silver/white glitter with larger pieces of blue and pink glitter mixed in. I like the pink but am not a huge fan of the blue pieces. Next time I think I'll see if I can leave the blue pieces out (you can see them on your brush so you could fairly easily just pick them off.) Next, I applied 1 coat of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nail Polish in Natural Tint and lastly a top coat (I use Essie).

Voilà! Cheap and easy glitter french mani!!

Unsuccessful Shopping

Hello loveleigh's!

Have you ever had one of those unsuccessful shopping days....the kind that you may go to several different places and try on several different things, but they don't have your size or nothing works/fits/etc.? That was my Saturday!

It actually started on Friday. I went to Target over lunch and saw these cute little sandals on clearance for $4.48:

They are girl's, but I have small feet so I can usually fit into a 3 or 4. Unfortunately they did not have anything bigger than a 2 so I figured I would just look at a different Target. 4 Target's* later? (including 1 where they were on clearance for $2 and change?!) Nope. Sigh. (*No, I did not drive all over the City just going to Target. When I was going other places on Saturday they had Target's near, so since I was by them I checked them.) Maybe I will order them online. $7.48 still isn't a bad deal!

Next, I went to the mall...mainly to go in Nordstrom (which was CRAZY due to the Anniversary Sale!).

I found these white Hudson Beth Baby Bootcut Jeans on sale/clearance and tried them on.

Unfortunately they only had the size up from mine...I was hoping they would still work, but they were too big. As a last resort I checked the website and they don't even have the size I tried on.

Next, I headed up to the BP department where I tried on this Lush Sheer Panel High/Low Shirt in ivory.

The shirt fit okay but I could not stand the back! I get the high/low trend that is in right now; however, the back reminded me of tuxedo tails and literally came down to the backs of my knees. Umm, no thank you. One of the girls who worked there told me I could try tucking it in or tieing it (and then tied it for me). Umm, no again. Not the look I was going for.

Next, I went in Love Culture which just opened here. (Saturday was actually it's grand opening day). Of course nothing fit right. I tried on 2 Chambray/denim shirts...one was too big and the other was too small in the boobage area. (Button down shirts and I sometimes have issues...they fit great through the body but are too tight in the boobage area or fit in the boobage area but are too big in the body...does anyone else have this problem?!) I tried on several other shirts and a maxi dress...all were too big or didn't fit right. The only thing that fit was a tank and a pair of pants...and by then I decided I didn't really like them that much! Ha!

Apparently it just wasn't my day to buy anything! I did get my free undies from VS and a pair of cute boot socks and Steve Madden gray lace hose from DSW (I paid under $2.00 for both!) with my coupons (because, of course, I didn't really find any shoes, go figure!)

Oh well! I'm not TOO bummed....it just means next time I'll probably find a TON of stuff! :) (and yes, believe it or not, I do realize there are way more important things in life than my unsuccessful shopping trip!) ;)
