Purple eyehsadows

I always wonder why I turn to purple eyeshadows alot. And you know after giving it a good thought I was like duh!!!!! Maybe because Purple makes my Hazel brown eyes stand out! lol. And the pictures above PROVE THAT THEORY! So I got my Manly Pallet in the mail last week and I was stoked! I have been waiting on this to come in for exactly one month! I ordered it off of ebay because it was dirt cheep but that was because it was coming from Hong Kong and it took FOREVER to get into my hands! But it has beautiful colors and very pigmented. It has 120 colors to choose from! I have been wanting to get very creative with all the bright colors and I did so in a tutorial I posted on my Youtube account: www.youtube.com/rsjrodriguez . Feel free to check it out.

So with this look I took a very deep plum purple and placed that all over my lid. Then I got a very light shimmery purple and layered that above the deep purple in the crease. Next I took the very pigmented black and defined my outer corner and crease with it. After that there is this vanilla color that I used as a highlight and also as the tear duct highlight. Then I took the deep purple and dragged that under my eye about half way in and blended the vanilla color with it in the middle. I used my MAC Fluidline in blacktrack to line my lids and a little bit under my lower lashes. Topped that off with my Covergirl Lashblast to my upper and lower lashes and My eyes were set. For my eyebrows I used the Elf brow kit. For my face (mind you I look extremely pale because of the flash on my phone) I used Revlon Colorstay in True Beige. Add my Studio fix concealer to my problem areas then dabbed a little studiofix powder to seal it all together. For My blush I used Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Comfort and then a pink blush on my apples. I don't have any lipstick on because my lips are extremely chapped so I am just wearing my softlips chapstick in Vanilla. Spring Forever 21 Must haves

So I was browsing through Forever 21 website and I couldnt help but notice there was so much stuff that caught my eye! No seeing that I am pregnant I have to watch what I buy because I dont know how long I will be able to wear anything. And personally I don't like Maternity Clothes lol. So the shorts and Skirt might be a problem to get but the tops I can work with! I am loving the first off the shoulder sweatshirt top. It is totally my style. As you can tell by the clothes I picked my style is kind of all over the place. I dont have one particular style. I like femanine and yet I like edgy. Futuristic Metallic Contest makeup

Hello everyone. So your probably wondering What the heck is she wearing lol. Well, Beautycrush on youtube is holding a metallic eye contest and this is the look I entered. She wanted something different and Unique. I had another look also which was so pretty but my stinken Camera deleted the Video! I was having so many problems that day with recording I was getting a little frustrated. But for my Youtube followers I told you guys I would have pictures up on my blog so here they are. I always hate how the camera never captures the true colors and beauty of makeup. I mean you get the picture but in Person the colors look so much different. Products I used are.

Mac pigments from a holiday collection back in I believe like 2006 or 2007. I used a teal pigment which they still sell. And then Blur Brown pigment. Which is what you cannot see on film. The brown on my lids actually has blue reflects in it and its gorgeous. Then I used a very shimmery frosted white as my highlight and then I made a line under all the eyeshadows on the bottom of my eye all the way to the tip of the teal. Can you guys see it? So as you can see the look is very metallicy and very shimmery and was all over my face lol. But I had fun. Wish me luck everyone. The prize is a Lux Addiction phone case which I want so bad! Perfect for Easter

So I decided to do something a little different today and play around with some shadow colors I have been loving and this is what I came up with. Since it is "Spring" and Easter is around the corner I thought this would be a perfect look. Products I used were:

Ring Bling

This is the second ring I bought form the lady that makes the homemade jewlery. I really like this ring because it is so big and is definitley a statment piece! The flower is so big and bright! I love it. Excuse my nails AGAIN! They are horrible I know. When it comes to my nails I get lazy sometimes. lol. Ring of the Day

I went to my sisters babyshower last weekend and this lady was there who sells homemade jewlery. My sisters Mother in law had previously bought this ring from her and as soon as I saw it and tried it on I had to have it! Unfortunatley the lady didnt have her jewlery with her so I put my order in! I got it yesterday at my nephews Birthday party. I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE IT! It was $10.00 and the band is stretchy so it will fit any finger comfortably. The roundness of the actual front fits nice too because the circle curves in to fit your finger so it is not sticking out and picking you or someone else. lol. I also puchased another ring yesterday which I will wear and post tomorrow. I love handmade homemade stuff, especially jewlery! Im a sucker for it. Baby Bump

So I am around 2 months and this is what the baby bump looks like already! Can you believe that! I definitley cannot! When I was pregnant with my daughter I was this big at 6 months. But then again I only gained 15 pounds with her and I started off really skinny. This time though I was a little heavier than before so I think thats why I am showing so fast. I just hope and pray that I do not blow up the size of a house! My cheeks are already filling in. Oh man. lol. But my husband loves it! He loves to rub my stomach and lay down with me and wrap his arms around me and my stomach. Not to mention my daughter loves to kiss my stomach. When she was like 8 months and my sister was pregnant my daughter would kiss her stomach too. Its the cutest thing ever. Anyways I just wanted to post these pictures for those of you who requested the baby bump ;). I am at work righ tnow and was literally falling asleep so I decided to do this before I completely knocked out on my desk lol. Have a uniquely awesome day. GOD BLESS.

February Favorites

So March is here and it is now time for my February Favorites. First on my list is Softlips in Vanilla. I LOVE THIS STUFF! The vanilla just smells and "tastes" lol so good.

Then I have the Mary Kay Lip Mask. This stuff works wonders! You leave it on for a couple of minutes before whiping it off. This exfoliates your lips and takes off all the dead skin making them beautiful!

Then of course I have Palmers Cocoa Butter creams because you all know I am expecting. :) So this will be my best friend for the next year or so lol. But honestly I also use it on parts of my face that are extremely dry overnight and it is healing it quickly. I love this stuff. I have the jar at home which I use on my face and body and the tube in my purse which I use on my body Then I love NYX Narcissus lipstick and E.L.F Powder brush. It puts on the powder flawlessly. Tired! Sick! Tired! Sick!

Oh Boy these past couple of weeks I have been sooo tired! My Dr. Told me that during your first 8 weeks is when you get nautious, tired, and sick. Well he wasn't kidding. This past Sunday I was so nautious. We were leaving church and I made my husband wait about 5 minutes sitting in the car before we left. I just felt like I was going to throw up. So I just closed my eyes laid my head back with the doors open and the sunroof open and it went away after about 5 minutes. But that was the longest 5 minutes ever! Then on Monday I didn't even go to work because I was so tired and nautious again. I stood in bed or was laying on the couch all day long in my PJ'S. I slept in till about 10am then woke up and then fell back asleep at 12:30pm on the couch then woke up at 2:00pm. Took another nap in my room with my husband and daughter at 5:00pm for about an hour then fell back asleep for the night at like 10:00pm. I was probably the most tired and lazy than I have ever been! But let me tell you, it felt so good to just sleep and relax for a day. My life is always busy and on the go that I rarely get to relax and nap! I am so thankful that my husband didn;t even bother me to stay up or help around the house. He did it all while I napped with a smile on his face. But when I woke up at 2 I did clean the kitchen because I felt kind of bad. lol. KINDA :). The funny thing is that I am constantly yawning at work. And I think even twice I fell asleep for a couple minutes on my desk hahaha. Well Just thought I would share with you my experiences with Tiredness and Sickness from pregnancy. CRAVINGS!

Man I am barely pregnant and already have cravings! One week before I found out I was pregnant I already knew it because I was craving Chineese Fast Food and Yogurtland everyday for that one week. Then I have been craving and eating Yogurt every morning. I switch between Strawberry and Strawberry and Bannana. Today is Strawberry. I was at work yesterday and I picked up the phone, called my husband and told him, "I WANT BUFFALO WINGS FOR DINNER!!!" lol. He was like OK. I love my Husband! My mouth was drooling for some buffalo wings.
Everytime I see a pregnant women and I see them eating Chile I always tell them what my first Dr. told me, " Don't eat chile and spicey food because it can give your baby heartburn!" And now that I am pregnant it is mostly what I have been loving! lol. Ironic right! SHAME ON ME! I was sitting there eating buffalo wings last night and then when I was tired of the chicken I got my finger and dragged it on the bottom of the plate and licked all the buffalo sauce off. Hahaha I know I know. I even did that with TAPATIO and normally I don't like Tapatio but NOW I DO!
I think it is so crazy how your taste changes and you crave specific things. My first Pregnany I always craved Pizza with fresh lime juice squerted on top haha. I made my husband try it before and he practically almost threw up lol. I didn't get it because to me it was delicious!!! I even made all of his guy friends try it and they practically barfed too! lol. Well sorry for the randomness but I thought it was pretty interesting the way the whole cravings things works. So for those of you who are not mothers and will be one day, BEWARE OF THE CRAVINGS! lol. :)

Coastal Scents vs. BH Cosmetics

As most of you know there are several companies out there that sell Makeup Pallets complete with either eyeshadows, blushes, contouring and highlight, lip gloss, concealer, makeup brushes etc. There are two in particular which I am going to do a comparison on, they are Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics. The reason I am doing this comparison is because like I said there are several companies out there and sometimes it could be confusing as to which one to go with. So hopefully this post will help in any way shape or form. I am not affiliated with either company, I am not getting paid for this review and this is my honest unbiased opinion. Any products purchased was with my own money or by my friend. Ok, so now that we got that out of the way lets get started.

Coastal Scents is based out of Naples, Florida. They not only sell makeup pallets and brushes, but they also sell Makeup Ingredients, Skin Care Ingredients, Butters and Soaps, Aroma Theropy stuff, Bath Fizzies, Packaging etc. So they are very versitile in what they sell. They have different shipping methods based upon where you live that you can chose from and it will calculate the different rates based upon your zip code and state. They ship internationally as well. There is no Animal testing of these products which is an A+ in my eyes.

BH Cosmetics is based out of North Hollywood, CA. They only sell Makeup Pallets, and brushes. They also have different shipping methods but it is just one flat rate for each option. They ship Internationally as well. They do not Test on animals which is an A+ again in my eyes.

Okay now for product comparison. Please take a look at their websites also:

Both companies sell an 88 Matte and Shimmer Pallets.
Coastal Scents Matte Pallet goes for $18.95 and Shimmer Pallet goes for $19.95
BH Cosmetics Matte Pallet goes for $19.95 and Shimmer Pallet goes for $21.95
As you can see they are the same products same pallets but Coastal Scents is a little cheaper.

Both have an 88 Warm /Neutral Pallet and 28 Neutral Pallet.
C.S. 88 Warm Pallet goes for $24.95, 28 Neutral Pallet is $18.95.
BH 88 Neutral Pallet goes for $24.95, 28 Neutral Pallet is $19.95.

Both have a 66 lips color Pallet
C.S. is $18.95
BH is $19.95

Both have a blush and Contour Pallet
C.H. 10 piece Blush is $15.95 and contour is $18.95.
B.H. 10 piece Blush is $16.95 and Contour is $19.95

One thing That Coastal Scents has that BH cosmetics doesnt have are double stack eyeshadow and blush pallets that come with 42 shadows and 10 blushes for $24.95.
But BH Cosmetics has their own double stack pallet that is 120 eyeshadow Pallet for $29.95.

Both of them sell quality brushes. Although I must say that I own Coastal Scents Brushes and my friend owns BH Cosmetic brushes and hers are very Soft and nice with the wood handles. Mine are soft as well with Black handles. Hers are a little softer than mine but mine are a lot more dense and help with the shadow application alot better because the shadows are so pigmented.

I also noticed that my Coastal Scents Pallet vs Her BH Cosmetic Pallet does not have much eyeshadow fall out as hers does. When we were applying her shadows, the color was falling all over our cheek bones and then when we tried to wipe it off it left a color stain. My Pallet didnt have much fall out and the little that there was wiped off very easily without stain.

Overall I would have to say that I prefer Coastal Scents over BH Cosmetics. They are cheaper in price, and their quality is a little better than BH Cosmetics especially for the price! Coastal Scents I will give an A and BH Cosmetics I will give a B.

SUPRISE SUPRISE!!!!!

So I just couldn't wait to share this information with you guys. I have been holding it for a little over a week now because I wanted to wait till this past Friday. But on Friday I went to the Dr. and I am now about 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Yep that is right, I am going to be a mommy for the second time. It is so crazy thinking that I will be having another child but my husband and daughter are exstatic! My daughter cant hardly wait. She already tells me can we take the baby out now! lol. It is so cute. She can't wait to be a big sister. And my husband, well he has been wanting a second child and I didnt. I was done and fine with 1! But in order to make him and my daughter happy I decided to give it a try and if God wanted us to have another one he will provide it. It took me about 3 months to finally get pregnant. So Now, I can not only share my love of makeup and beauty with you guys but I can take you along with me on my journey of pregnancy. FINALLY! My NYX products came in! I purchased these online January 18 and just received them yesterday February 18! It took a whole month for them to be in my hands! Although I was getting very frustrated because come one a girl wants her cosmetics, I am very happy that they are in now. I also used Elf eyebrow Kit.

Outfit of the Day

Today I came to work half casual half dressy. I was undecided if I actually wanted to get all ready for work so the first thing I threw on were my straight legged Purple Corduroy pants. Yeah I said PURPLE CORDUROY lol. Then I threw on my white tank top. After scrambling around for a little to find a top I found my see through white t-shirt with a built in black buttoned up vest over it. So I threw that on. Then I put my Black Blazer over it and folded it to right under my elbow. Threw on my black Guess high heels and then since i woke up late I threw my hair up into a clip literally in like 15 seconds lol. Added a bracelet, earings, necklace and was out the door. My makeup was done in the car. hahaha I added a light shimmery white color to my lid, basic medium brown to my crease and black in the outer corner and onto my lower lid. This my basic go to makeup whenever I am in a hurry or dont feel like doing anything different. I have Studio fix concealer on topped with studiofix powder. Pink blush, contouring, brown shadow for my eyebrows. NYC liquid eyeliner and covergirl mascara. I had lipliner and lipstick on but I had just got done eating and it whiped off. Hope you enjoyed. I know that at times you can feel weary and tired and sometimes in a bad mood and you dont feel like doing good. But the Scripture tells us "Let us not become weary...". Even though we get tired, lazy, or we are just not in the mood, that is when we must continue to push ourselves to do good with a cheerful heart. And in God's time we shall reap the harvest of our Good deeds. This may mean that something good will happen to us, we may receive something un expectantly, or we will see the rewards in Heaven! Which ever way it comes, I know I will be unworthy but it is because of GODS grace and mercy that I shall be more than grateful to receive it. So don't ever lose heart to do good. Help those around you. Offer a helping hand. Helping doesnt always mean money is involved. It can be something as simple as holding the door for someone, helping someone push their car off the side of the road, help someone pick something up if the dropped it, it is the little things that count. And as the word says, "...for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Purple Shmirple

So I have really been diggin the purple eyeshadows lately. Why you may ask? I have no clue haha. If you notice, I really like dark dramatic makeup. And because I have my coastal scents Pallet with every color eyeshadow I like to play around with them. Since I wear a lot of black its easier to wear different color eyeshadows because everything goes with black! Anyways, Just thought I would post my makeup for today. Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for Man."

I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE! To me, it is telling me that anything I do I need to do it to my full potential. I need to do it whole heartidly with joy and compassion. Do it for good and not for distruction. The Lord sees everything you do and he knows if you are doing it from your heart and with everything you have. And he is pleased. But man can see the same thing and still not be pleased. Man will always let you down. That is why we trust in the Lord and do things unto him. Not one thing we do suprises him because he knows all. So when I feel like I don't want to do something or I am getting too lazy, I just reflect back on this scripture and it gives me a new motivation to keep doing what I was doing and do it with everything in me! PEACOCK INSPIRED

First let me start saying that I dislike when pictures do not show the colors like they look in person! Hahah okay anyways so I decided to wear my peacock eaings and my peacock necklace today. Which is why I was inspired to do the eye makeup that I did. Yes I know thats a whole lot of peacocks! lol. But I was excited to do this. It is very dramatic and believe it or not vibrant. So to start off I primed my eyes with MAC Painterly Paint Pot. Then I used my trusty coastal scents pallet and used the dark brown right above the black and put that all over my lid. Then I took the brightest blue and added that to my crease right above the brown blending them together where they connect. Then I took a turquoise and a teal eyeshadow and mixed them together and blended those right above the bright blue shadow. After that I took a brown gold shadow and blended that right above the turquoise and teal shadow. The brown tones down the brightness of the blues and allows it to be a more wearable look. I then added a highlight to my brows and to the inner corner of my tear duct. Then I added blue to my bottom lid and dusted the dark brown right above the blue. Add Liner and Mascara and you are done. I added light pink blush, contouring and comfort mineralized skin finish to my face. I hope you liked this. If you try it out send me a picture! ROSS HAUL

Okay so me and my husband and daughter went to Ross yesterday just becuase we were bored at home. If you don't know what Ross is, its basically a store that sells name brand items at a discount. We went in with no expectations just to look around. Well when we walked in the first thing we see is the purses and the like beauty products. So we came across this. It is Coconut Bath Salts (Dead Sea Salt). Now the reason why we picked htis up is because my husband takes a lot of baths. And I usually just shower. But my skin has been really dry lately and I have been really tense so we grabbed this. AND LET ME TELL YOU, I used it last night and I felt so dang relaxed after that I just wanted to go to sleep but kept myself busy so i wouldnt. I LOVE IT! And it was only $3.99. I love a Bargain! :)

The next thing we came across were some little decorations for our house. They were both only $3.99!!!! We are Christians and love to have scriptures and crosses around our house so we just had to grab these! What a DEAL!

The next thing we found were these JORDANS for my husband. Can you believe it! only $29.99!!! I looked them up online to see if they were worth it and they were selling online for $175.00. We didnt even think twice about getting them. And they were the only ones and in his size. THANK YOU JESUS. My husband never buys himself anything so When we went I just wanted him to get stuff and not me. So he also got a nice dress shirt for work. He also had this nice jacket but put it back at the last second. Then we went to find shoes for my daughter but there was nothing. But we are going to go to Marshalls where they had some cute jordans for her for only $25.00! But while we were in the childrens shoe section we came across these......

For only $11.99!!!!! Can you believe that! These Shoes are so dope! When I wear Tennis Shoes I like to wear Funky shoes with different colors and styles. Now I told my Husband I wasnt there to buy myself anything but he insisted I get them because of how great of a deal they were. And I just couldnt deny that this was a STEAL!
