LAST FRIDAY NIGHT WAS AMAZING.

It was The Prom Charity Dinner!!It was a very big event organized by Advance Diploma in Hotel Management and Tourism (AHT1 & ATM1) of Tunku Abdul Rahman College and the event located in SRJK Chong Hwa.It was a first event organized by us outside of college,it really ruined our plan from start.We worried too much of the guest doesn't know the place, jam is quiet pack on that area, and so on.

Dolled up 100% My make up and hair-do were sponsor by Sense & Style.

Our theme of the event are more to European style,what we planned for it is a European Prom Night.So as you see can in the picture, the decoration is more to Europe style and have a lot of different flags of Europe country hang on the wall.Special Thanks to Decoration Group, it was lead by Mao Tang and Sin Yee!

Had a blasting celebration in Never Mine,It's Yours Bar,Jalan Changkat yesterday! Will talk about that in another post.

So, has 2011 treated you nicely?

Definitely, 2011 have been like a roller coaster to me for its ups and down, high and lows. Despite the challenges, I am blessed enough to have awesome people around me to remind and support me when I almost give up or when my anger management fail. Hahaha! 2011 had left me good, with the new experiences and priceless moments which allow me to be better and mature.

I will not start an emotional post right here on the first day of 2012 but hey, just look at how far you've grown! Either smarter/richer/prettier/taller/fatter/meaner/bitchier/ and the list goes on XD. New Year is all about getting another chance to be a better someone, reflecting ourselves to see if we've fulfilled and broken our 2011 resolutions, and NOW to give ourselves a fresh new chance to grow the way we want it to! That's is, my friend, the 2012 resolutions.

Happy New Year guys and girls ;) Keep moving!

Myth 1: If you eat late at night you will gain weight:

Meal timing has nothing to do with weight loss. If that was true, the Mediterranean people would be among the fattest Europeans, because they usually eat a very large dinner. The total amount of calories you eat is the determining factor.

Myth 2: Bread and pasta make you fat:

Bread and pasta are not fattening, if you practice portion control. The only problem with these foods is that they don’t keep you full for long. Therefore , you feel like eating more.

Myth 3: Fat deposits increase your health risks: The fat on the legs, buttocks and hips is not as dangerous for your health, as the fat that is stored on the waist.

Myth 4: Olive oil is less fattening than butter Olive oil is a much healthier choice than butter: it’s good for the heart and contains unsaturated fatty acids. However, 100 grams of olive oil contain 884 calories and the same quantity of butter contains 717 calories.

Myth 5: The more frequently you eat the better: Some people say that eating 5 meals per day is better than eating 3 meals, because it increases your metabolism and prevents food cravings. The reality is that it doesn’t matter how many meals you eat, the important thing is how many calories you consume. Therefore , eat small amount of food with frequent times. Control your calories consume !

Myth 6: After 30 we gain weight automatically, due to metabolic decrease: This is only partly correct. It is true that as we get older our metabolism decreases.

We lose muscle mass and our body needs less energy. But, this decrease is very small and can be prevented with some resistance training.

Myth 7: Potatoes are fattening: Potatoes themselves are not fattening at all, and you will need to consume a huge quantity of potatoes every day to gain weight. What makes them fattening is the way we cook them (french fries).

Myth 8: Some foods burn more calories than they provide: If that was possible, then no one would have to worry about their weight. They would simply eat these foods regularly.

Myth 9: More perspiration means you burn more calories: The amount of sweat has nothing to do with the burning of calories, it’s simply a way to decrease the temperature of your body. Therefore people that think that Sauna and steam bath is a way for weight loss , is wrong . You are mostly losing water in your body , therefore your weight lost for that moment only . Once you drink water again, the weight maintain still. Exercise is needed still .

Myth 10: Fresh vegetables are healthier than frozen vegetables: This is not always the case. Frozen vegetables are frozen immediately after harvesting and all the essential vitamins are protected from light and air.

Last week,i quit my job in HSBC and back to Malaysia. I'm started to miss them so much =)

Miss A - A Class

What is it about simple melodies and clean production that works so well for miss A?

It’s cliche to say ‘less is more’, but nowadays, it seems like it’s the one cliche I’m willing to take to my grave. Subjectively speaking, today’s mainstream music is suffocating and tiring; frankly, it’s become a bunch of noise. However, I don’t feel that from miss A, nor from their mother superior, JYP Entertainment/AQ Entertainment. The kind producers over at their agency know what it takes to elevate miss A above the crowd, but in a way that complements their voices.

Yet once upon a time, I wasn’t this fond of miss A.

When Fei, Jia, Min, and Suzy debuted back in 2010, they weren’t really doing it for me, and here’s why: I like my girl groups with tons of pizzaz. Plain and simple. When miss A came out with “Bad Girl Good Girl“, nothing really hit me as inspiring. Actually, I felt the exact opposite – their material came across as average. It was cool they were performing basic gymnastics on stage, but they could have been taming lions with their bare hands while spitting jets of fire and it still wouldn’t have changed the fact that their song just didn’t appeal to me.

And then there was “Breathe.” Admittedly, I fell for the song the first time I heard it, simply because it assured me that miss A had vibrant personalities under their pop-girl veneer. Later, of course, the whole thing fell by the wayside as I came to terms with the fact that this phase in their career was, well — aphase. One that did next to nothing for miss A, music-wise or artistically.

What has worked in their favor, however, is their vocals. Maybe they can’t belt out the highest notes ever or really sing their heads off, but the way their producers/songwriters treat miss A’s voices and subsequently know where to place them in a song is a key factor to miss A’s success as a girl group. It’s the little bits of everything coming together that’s pushed me to vouch for miss A’s latest release, ‘A Class‘.

“Love Alone” – the single that was released before “Good Bye Baby”, and the one that promised good things were coming.

Although miss A were promoted as a sassy dance group in their debut year, these girls somehow carried a sense of mild innocence in their stage presence. From the get-go, I envisioned a particular sound for miss A that centered primarily around something youthful, soft, and smooth. Their spunk was an added bonus.

It wasn’t until the release of this year’s “Love Alone” that I felt miss A came through on all three of my hopes. It was exactly what I was waiting to hear, as it captured a side of miss A that I always knew existed (and in the best way possible!).

The effect of “Love Alone” was that it made me feel excited to hear more from miss A’s upcoming endeavors.

“Good Bye Baby” – miss A’s lead single, and arguable their strongest one yet.

‘A Class’ made its grand entrance on July 17th, and miss A really brought it home this time with an album that encompassed their better qualities. It’s invigorated with a clear personality that included a strong range of styles, and left behind the experimental silliness of ‘Step Up‘.

The album takes its first (torso-less) step forward with “From One To Ten” — the song I like to refer to as ‘Love Alone Version 2.0.’ ”From One to Ten” features a soft arrangement filled with wispy synths, and with a seemingly upbeat style, it leads right into their single, “Good Bye Baby“.

“Good Bye Baby” is catchy, yet filled with just the right amount of spunk in the chorus, and its smooth melodies tie everything together. “Good Bye Baby” isn’t a vocal challenge, but the subtle ad-libs and its overall structure adds a veil of sophistication to this pop song.

“Help Me” – the R&B staple

Using “Good Bye Baby” as their title track gave K-Pop fans an idea of what ‘A Class’ would hold – songs that would be more mature in its production, and yet still fit perfectly with miss A’s acrobatic stage inclinations. I also find it pretty interesting how their production team melds mellow songs with beats that play to that niche. Even without the image, these songs are still filled with a sharp attitude, and — dare I say — a hint of swag.

In fact, there isn’t a moment where a song on this album pounds the hell out of your brain, because they’re designed to do the opposite – to please with minimal extraneity. Songs like “Mr. Johnny” and “Break It” – which are both high energy and full of fierceness – are so crisp and straightforward, that I wouldn’t mind having them ringing in my head.

“Mr. Johnny” – the sassy uptempo track. I picture miss A working the catwalk to this song for some reason…

miss A defied the trends of mindless pop music by ridding themselves of the nonsensical gimmicks and cheesy arrangements that seem to pervade the industry these days.

‘A Class’ is part techno, part electro, part R&B. Somehow, these elements work out as flawlessly as miss A’s stage performances. They’re rookies, but how do I go about explaining the class and sophistication I hear in this album?

Amid the many songs already released (making up half of this album — bummer), the new songs play well together. ‘A Class’ is miss A’s best release to date, and to hear them grow as a girl group is a sign of positive things to come. It doesn’t take much to make a good pop song, and this album is my testament.

Overall : miss A sound fantastic.

Last week I had a singing session with HK Nuffnang staff.Because they knew that I am going to leave HK soon. It was a Stand-up Comedy event at a club and had 60 Nuffnang HK bloggers attend. It was only the 3rd Nuffnang event I had there, and the biggest.

Now for my toner which I use at night.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

I think I heard someone call me crazy? I am and I’m not afraid to admit it!

So yeah, I use this at night.

Because of it’s texture.

Excuse the wrinkly hands!

It’s clear and kinda runny, BUT it’s texture is totally DIFFERENT than the Whitening one.

This original one gives a slippery feel when you pat it on your skin, like a thin film, before it gets absorb into your skin. It takes a wee bit longer to get absorb than the whitening one, so that’s why I use this at night, where I have more time to pat it into my skin. It’s also a little bit more sticky compared to the whitening, maybe due to it’s slightly thicker texture.

I feel that this is a bit more moisturizing than the whitening one, and I have to be kinda careful with the amount used. Anything too much will result in slippery and sticky skin. But both works well to provide adequate moisture to my skin.

I like the whitening one for day better because it requires lesser work and does the job nicely for the day when I sip water every now and then, unlike at night where I sleep in an air-conditioned room and I drink no water! For night, original is awesome! My skin is less oilier in the morning if I used it the night before.

By the way, sometimes if I feel my skin is extra dry, I do use the original in the mornings too! I even use them (whitening & original) on my undereyes for extra moisture before topping up an eye cream as it is horribly dry as of late. Works nicely me thinks, but I think I need to get a more hydrating/ moisturizing eye cream already.

Overall, I really like how both the toners work for me and in a pinch, it does serves as a mask too! Soak cotton pads with the either one toner and leave it on! Works as an eye mask too!

It’s not only me who thinks Hada Labo’s toner rocks because other beauty blogger says this is great stuff too!
