As I told you before, I'm so much digging the sports trend that's going on right now. Especially since I get to wear comfy stuff in the streets. I'm so over the moon with this bomber jacket! Bombers are making their comeback, but in a new version and I fell for this one because of the print. It's the perfect sporty but edgy addition to my wardrobe! But I must say, wearing sweatpants and a bomber at the same time did make me choose for some pointy high heels, one should not overdo sports and look like coming right out of the gym. So heels and sweatpants it is. And very matching nails, of course. What do you think?

A little peek of what I've been doing last week, next to studying, going to classes, working and blogging of course =)

1. Had a great afternoon at the Unlimited PR Showroom where they had these delicious Cake Pops from Cupcake Boutiq

2. Was nice to meet all the bloggers again, and some I hadn't met before. Unlimited PR did a great job on organizing all kinds of fun activities that day! Thanks!

3. Really liked this Aztec print sporty bag from Pieces that was in the U-PR showroom.

4. There was a Mac artist who gave Joyce the most incredible green lips, looked sooo cool!

5. Having some homemade croissants on a lazy sunday morning with the BF.

6. My new printed bomberjacket from Ready to Fish via Muze. I was looking for a printed bomber jacket after seeing so many street style pics from the latest fashion weeks, they were everywhere! I think someone must have known, because not much later I ran into this love. Will show you the rest of this outfit tomorrow!

7. My favorite nail polishes of the moment, from the OPI Holland collection: Did you 'ear about van Gogh, Thanks a Windmillion, and I don't give a Rotterdam.

8. My sweet little cat, that is such a big part of my life that you might see her on the blog every now and then. She even helps me pick out outfits by throwing clothes out of the closet.

So in love with this boucle oversized coat (from here) with a huuuuge hoodie. I love wearing pieces that are different in a way, and the fit really works for me here. Ever since I cleaned out my wardrobe and found out I have a Lot (with a big L) of basics, I'm intro statement items that can spice up my wardrobe.

Also, I found this beanie that had been in my closet for over a year and really rediscovered it, hooked on beanies! So tell me, how do you feel about my look? Happy sunday lovelies!

Another Never Published post, showing you the goofy pictures of my outfits that I don't post. My boyfriend and I have a lot of fun during shooting my outfits, and we mess around a lot, which results in ending up with pictures like these. Also, the last pictures show an outfit you've never seen before, because I shot them a few weeks ago when there was still snow but somehow totally forgot all about them! Not that is was such a special look but I really like the combination of black and cream, leather and knits, and my favorite biker jacket. I'd love to hear your thoughts, do you like seeing these never published goofy pictures or were they never published for a reason? ;) Happy friday lovelies!

My absolute favorite from the Fall 2012 collections that have been showed the past few weeks in NY and London, is definitely Topshop Unique. Topshop really surprised me here, showing a very grown up, serious and edgy collection. I'm loving the layers, the shapes, the long coats, the biker jackets, and especially that lammy coat. I would not at all mind owning this whole collection, and it's not often that I actually like everything about a collection (Acne was a bit of a bummer for me this season, for instance). Luckily Topshop Unique doesn't have crazy designer prizes (yet) so who knows what Fall 2012 will bring! Can't wait, especially since Fall is my favorite season.

Some of you might know, some of you might not, but I have a thing for fur. So that's exactly what appealed to me in these sneakers. I mean, who has furry sneakers? I do now. I also like their boyish look since I really like to wear boyish stuff sometimes, also like the oversized sweater you see above. Today's look is all in the details, sneakers with fur, the perfect blue jeans but with tiny paint splatters, a white mesh top peeking out under my sweater, and some green nails. So what do you think?

Craving | Almost My Birthday

It's almost my birthday, the 7th of March, so time for a little wishlist!

I'm turning 23 which has always been my lucky number, so I feel like this is going to be a great year.

It comes in quite handy that my birthday is in the time that I'm on a shopping diet!

So here's my wishlist:

1. My dream bag. The Alexander Wang Diego bucket bag. OK, I'm obviously not counting on actually getting it, but if you would ask me what I would want most in the world (fashion related, that is), it would be this baby. No doubt.

2. This soooo cool Dannijo iPhone case. Would make my phone such a more fashionable accessory, especially since I'm holding it in my hands always.

3. A rose gold watch. I really like this one by Marc by Marc Jacobs, but it wouldn't necessarily have to be this one. Any pretty rose gold watch will do.

4. This Fashionology cross bracelet. I've been wanting to order it for two months but I'm not sure why I haven't yet. Wanted to order it last week until I realized I'm on a shopping diet. Boohoo.

5. A subscription to the Dutch Vogue Magazine, which will launch very soon. So excited about that!

If you could pick anything (fashion related that is) to get for your birthday, what would it be?

Please note, if I could choose to have anything, it would be world peace, a cure to cancer and no more hunger in the world. But I'm talking fashion on this blog. Just wanted you to know though :)

A pretty basic outfit on this sunday, but it's really just what I felt like wearing. I've said it before, on this blog I like to show you what I actually wear, not just what looks good in pictures :). And well, a blouse like this and a good pair of sneakers can do a lot, right? Got this blouse as a belated Valentine's gift from my boyfriend. I don't wear blouses often but maybe I should. I'm soooo going tie dye all the way this season. When you're on a shopping diet, you have to be creative. That's exactly what I've tried with this look, stealing my boyfriends very comfy hooded sweater. I like wearing it with leggings as a sort of dress, with makes it a little more feminine. And of course, a great pair of boots can do a lot for a simple, comfy outfit if you ask me. The cardigan I wear all the time, it's so warm that it actually functions as a coat here. This dreary weather made me in the mood for grey tones and oversized comfy clothes, I hope the rain will leave us soon!

I just had to share this video with you. It shows a behind the scenes-look on what Tommy Ton does on a daily basis. What it's like to be a street style photographer. And what it's like to shoot during NYFW, especially now, when anybody can be a street style photographer. I love to see the face behind one of the best street style photographers in the world. He looks so sweet!
When I'm in NY this april, I will definitely also take some street style pics for on the blog. Now I know how it works ;)

Another gorgeous Nowhere piece. It's a biker vest, but a chic one, and sort of a blouse as well because of the slightly sheer fabric, and then you can zip it up and wear it as a dress. Talking about versatility. Love that it can be worn in many ways and that it's pretty chic but still sort of a biker vest. Best thing? It's on sale (here) right now. Sooo curious to see the Nowhere spring collection by the way!

And yes, you see new shoes. But I'm still keeping to my shopping diet, since I traded this pair (old collection) with the lovely Debbie for a pair of my shoes. You have to be creative when you're on a shopping diet, right? The heels are sky high but they walk better then most of my heels. And so edgy.

So let's show you the fun stuff I've been doing the past week. And the fashion related stuff. If I would also show you the boring stuff, you would see a lot of my laptop, scientific articles and more of that since I'm very busy with school, but I won't bother you with that. So what you're looking at here:

1. Connecting the dots. On my nails.

2. And some stripes. I've been in a try-out-new-stuff-on-nails mood.

3. Loving this canvas bag from Are You Swedish. I kind of wish I was!

4. Having a romantic dinner in a restaurant with a fireplace with the BF.

5. Meeting up with the Fashiolista team and other bloggers for a Feedback Friday. Was so much fun and the Fashiolista girls are lovely!

5. It was at Mazzo (Rozengracht, Amsterdam) and we had the most delicious pizza!

6. Cross nails. They didn't really work out the way I wanted them to. Maybe because of the matte finish.

7. Wearing these sneakers ALL the time lately! Addicted!

8. As well as my comfy Nowhere pants. Nothing like a comfy yet fashionable sweatpant.

9. Fur to keep me warm, and my favorite Fashionology necklace!

10. Having cakes and coffee on a relaxed saturday afternoon after taking pictures of my outfit.

11. White nails.

12. Having a healthy brunch, again with my BF.

13. I did a photoshoot to help my mum's friend building his portfolio. I'll show you the result soon!

Sooooo it's Valentine's Day today! Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!

I've been looking for these Nowhere pants for soooo long but they were sold out very quickly when Elin Kling's first collection for Nelly.com launched last year. I check Nelly.com almost every day (it's actually my favorite webshop at the moment!) and when I saw there was suddenly one available, in my size, I had to have it. It's the perfect pair of pants, of course very comfy but edgy enough to wear outside and I love the zippers at the bottom! Of course I had to wear my favorite pair of shoes with them, but decided to make the look a little more chic with the jacket. I'm all about the sports trend this year, a great excuse to wear the most comfy stuff!

So in love with this utter comfy burgundy (yes, I'm wearing a color!) knit, which my mum made for me. She knows exactly what I like, and made this beautiful cardigan from scratch. She even made the sleeves extra long because she knows I always have cold hands and like my sleeves as long as possible, especially in winter. I have the best mum in the world.

Sorry for boring you with the beanie but this weather gives me a lot of bad hair-days, and this beanie keeps my brains from freezing. Which I need, because I'm very busy with my thesis at the moment. Wearing these heels, even though I'm just at home, make my days feel a little more special somehow. Yes, I dress up at home. Every now and then. Do you ever do that?

News | New York & Shopping Diet

It's official! This April, I'm going to New York City!

It's one of the best birthday presents ever, given by my mom and dad. My birthday isn't until March 7th, but I'm kind of more excited for April than for my actual birthday now! I'm going with my dad and I really can't wait to enjoy my favorite city for the 3rd time. Next to shopping, I'll definitely shoot some outfits and maybe even some streetstyle pics there!

Which brings me to the next point. Since I'm saving money for some New York shopping, I've put myself on a shopping diet until I'm going to NYC. After getting my dream sneakers, I haven't shopped at all, and I'm going to try to do as little shopping as I can in the next 2 months. Please note, we're talking diet here. Let me point out the comparison with a food diet: you can't eat nothing, because then you will die, right? Nonetheless, I'm going for NO shopping unless it's an utter necessity at a low price. Wish me luck. I'll keep you updated on how that goes!

That being said, have you been to NYC before? If you have some shopping or other tips, please let me know!

Sooo loving my new camera lens. My pictures have improved a lot, don't you think?

I'm loving this Givenchy-inspired panther t-shirt, and how the panther pops out underneath my layers. Sometimes a t-shirt with a cool print can bring just that little extra to an outfit. Kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple, just black and blue with some sneakers (more on Zalando.nl/sneakers), because this cold doesn't allow much more than wearing lots of layers, and even when wearing layers: less is more.

Wearing quite some new stuff in this outfit that I haven't shown you yet!

My beloved sneakers, which you will see a lot more on my blog since I kind of don't ever want to take them off. My boyfriend wouldn't let me sleep with sneakers, can you believe it?

Then my vintage fur coat, which keeps me warm these days. Yes, it is real fur, and I don't support real fur but when it vintage I kind of mind less.

I also got this gorgeous suede Frenchonista clutch, that is beautiful because of it's simplicity. It matches almost any outfit.

Then, I told you about my obsession for spiked jewellery here, and this necklace from Club Manhattan totally rocks spikes like no other. It's the perfect statement necklace and I love it!

Quite a list huh? I'd love to hear what you think of my new stuff and my first outfit with my Willows!

YAY!

I still can't believe I got my hands on these. And even in my favorite color. I've been obsessing over these Isabel Marant Willow Sneakers literally for months, but sold out everywhere and long waiting lists made my chances small. So I just can't believe they're mine. The real deal this time, with a dust bag for each shoe, oh yeah. And I love this color because it goes with everything right now, but will also be the perfect shoe for spring. I want to marry these shoes.

More fur, since it so cold here that all I want to wear is fur! Winter is really upon us, and although everybody is complaining about the cold, I'm kind of OK with it. I'll just wear my fur and lots of layers and I'll be fine. I can handle cold much better then rain! And I love pairing these KO Renells (sorry miss Marant) with fur.

These pictures were still taken with my old camera lens, but I got a new lens this week and it makes sooo much better pictures! Can't wait to shoot outfits with it this weekend! Oh and there's something else exciting in my life. Keep an eye on my blog tomorrow ;)
