Loves Her Lil' Man

Update

2011-04-01T14:32:00.000-07:00

Man I haven't posted on here in forever. Life is good I suppose. If you don't already know...

....I am currently going to school at the University of Phoenix. I am working on my Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration. I don't actually want to work in the private industry at least not yet. I want to do my thirty years at least with the state, and then move private and work til I can no longer work, earning a second pension. My goals are to work my way up to a Health Analyst at one of the State Health Depts. Currently right now I am just a PT2 for the Secretary of State. I basically just talk all day on the phone. So I am working on the Second step toward that goal but the state hiring freeze is hindering that at the moment. I would like to get a SSA position at one of the State Health Depts, and keep working my way up. After I do my thirty years I will see what Kaiser Permanente has to offer. They have an excellent retirement program, at least at the moment.

....My son's father "Will" has moved in with us. Only on a temporary basis! Supposedly he will be moving out in the next couple of months. I asked him to move in to help me with Darius, which he has. Darius's behavior has improved. However, there are times I want to pull my hair out
because they are both driving me nuts. Oh yeah, Darius has a little sister now. No not from me. So now he has an older brother Ty (6-8 yrs old, not sure); a little brother Tahj (4 yrs old); Tahj has another brother Quincy (2 or 3 yrs old, I think 3), would make him Darius half brother; and now a little sister named Tahjanne (most likely misspelled, and less than a yr old).

I think that is it for now. I live a boring life.

Enjoy some Fun Random Pics.

CONGRATULATIONS KELLEY!

Today was Kelley's Graduation. She graduated with her masters in clinical psychology from National University. I attended obviously, man was it long. I even hollered for her even though normally I don't do that. I didn't bring Darius because I didn't want him to throw a fit. Here are some of my pics. Sorry but I don't know everyone's names. There were more people from her family and friends but I wasn't able to get everyone's pictures.

Kelley, I was at a bad angle.

Frustrated

2009-02-27T13:04:00.000-08:00

I knew 2009 would not be a good year after my new years eve experience. I figure if you literally start off the new year vomiting it won't be good. Low and behold it hasn't been.

January 7th, I was woken up as my son and I were going to sleep by a phone call. It was my brother. Who normally doesn't call me. So I answered it figuring out it must be important. I wish I hadn't answered it though because I couldn't sleep the rest of the night, and had to work the next morning. Turns out my father died. Nobody found his body for at least three days. Finally they put a search out for him. The sheriff and one of his girlfriends adult children broke into his apartment to find him dead. After a couple days, and our family figuring out the plans, we went to southern california to his memorial and funeral. I took the week off from work and Melissa, me and the boys all drove to southern california. This was not a pleasant experience. We took care of things down there and drove back with an additional vehicle, a uhaul full of my dads things. We were all happy to be home but not to unload everything. Luckily I have some really good friends who helped us out once we got back. Orginally we thought my dad had a heart attack, but turned out it was a brain annerysm (spelled wrong I know).

Then at the end of January my mom started to be in pain and not feeling well. After a week offering to take her to the emergency room, I finally got a phone call while at work telling me to take her to the ER. She spent a couple of days there and was finally released. She still has to visit the doctor every so often. Sometimes I take her.

Then today oh my gosh I was ready to rip my own head off in anger at my son. I have never been so embarrased by him in my life. I took him to the doctors because I thought he had an ear infection for the second time this month. Needless to say I have no more sick time. today is payday to boot. ANYWAYS..... Darius was behaving great until we got to the pharmacy. Then the devil came out. Started throwing a tantrum for no reason at all. Screaming his bloody head off. At home I don't care scream all you want I am not going to give in. I couldn't get him to calm down, and then had to carry him out of the drs building, with people staring at me like I was a bad mom or he is a little shit. Honestly he is pretty good. It is just the occassional fits that are the problem. We got to the car, and he would not get in his seat. I tapped him butt a few times still nothing. Finally some guy pulls up asking if we were going to leave. I understand the parking lot was full and we had a prime spot but you try calming down a tantrum 2 year old. I told him yes but we were going to be a while. He decided to wait. He wanted our spot. Darius was still being a butt. Finally I guess the guy got tired of waiting, came over with his crutches and said do you mind if I help. I said go ahead, thinking it wouldn't work. Then shit it worked!!!!! He put Darius in his seat and buckled him in. Darius still tried to fight, but the man just talked to him stearnly but not yelling telling him I was in charge. I got in the car and he got in his, and we both went our ways.

Now Darius was still screaming. And pulled his arms out of the seat belt. So I had to pull over. I put him back in and tightened the straps. All the time him still screaming. Finally he calmed down. Then for whatever reason he started up again. Then I took the long way home and finally he fell asleep. Thank GOD!!! I was losing my mind.

If the year keeps going this way I am going to lose my mind for sure.

I have been a good girl. I go to work all the time, and take care of my son, almost all by myself. Assistance from my mom, daycare, and occasionally Hunter. (He is good at getting Darius in his car seat). What I would like for Christmas is real simple.....

Gift Cards to Walmart.... so that I can buy a vacuum, and a dining room table set.
The other thing I want is The Sims game for Nintendo DS... the Kingdom one because I have the original game already and have beaten it. Thats all I want for Christmas.

Darius would like the following, Anything Elmo, Curious George, Wonder Pets, BackYardigans, Go Diego, Go!, makes music, or can build things. Warm clothes, books, puzzles (wood). The following pictures below are ideas, not exactly the exact toys but something along those guide lines. Like the first one plays music has a microphone and great for driving mommy nuts. Next one is a remote control car that is age appropriate and easy to figure out for a two year old. A Ball pit, too play in and keep mamas house from being a mess. A Play Tent, nana is getting tired of him climbing in the cats home tent. Next couple ones speaks for themselves, and then Mr. Potato Head toys to keep him busy.

Super Duper Play Tent
Sesame Street Giggle Driver

So last night was pretty exciting. It was a normal day like no other. Except..... my son actually carried on a conversation with me! Normally Darius just "parrots" what anybody says near him.

Anyways after work, I went and picked up Darius from Daycare. I always attempt a conversation with him but usually its just me talking to myself with a parrot. So here was our conversation, it is simple but a conversation none the less......

Me- So how was school?
Darius- Good
Me- What did you do today?
Darius- Ummmm, Play.
Me (Shocked he responded)- Oh really what did you play?
Darius- Ummmmm, House!
Me- Wow! Really? That's cool. So were you the mommy or daddy?
Darius- ummmm, Mommy!
Me- You did?! Wow thats cool. So what does the mommy say.
Darius- ummm, (something I couldn't understand and he wouldn't repeat).
That was the end of our conversation.

Short and sweet as it was it sure made me happy. My boy is growing up.

More pictures to come later. Check out the ones I got loaded up on here so far. Hope you enjoy.

Toy Story

2008-11-02T15:18:00.000-08:00

Here is the cast of Toy Story. Featuring Willy as Buzz Lightyear, Shannon and Lil' Bo Peep, Leslie as the Piggy Bank, and Thomas as Woody.

Woody

Piggy Bank

Bo Peep

Floating bed in the air. I think I like this the best.

The Toy Box. Some of those are Darius's toys.

I hand drew on all of this wood. It took me a really long time to do. I hid some words, shapes and other things in this. Wonder if anyone can find them.

Shrek

2008-11-02T15:10:00.001-08:00

Toni as Pinocchio. She had a lot of fun with this.

There is Donkey in his Castle.

Downtown Far Far Away.

Another part of far far away downtown. Yes that is Farbucks.

Lets see we have over here the Gap Queen, Old Navery, and I think the last one says Tower of London Records.

This is the garlic carriage that Shrek and Fiona ride off into the sunset in. V loved it, it was like her own little fortress.

This is Vee as Princess Fiona. Her costume is great. She looks dead on like the character.

Wonderland

2008-11-02T13:44:00.001-08:00

Here it is the Queen of Hearts, Alice, and the Madhatter.

Gwinith, isn't she the best Madhatter. I love her costume. And most of it she got at the thrift stores.

Madhatter Gwinith
"Would you like a spot of tea?"

White Rabbit's Watch after the Madhatter got a hold of it.

Queen Lani "Off with their heads!"
I have to retake pictures of Lani's desk, some how they got lost.

Pre-Queen, making the decorations for her desk

Doorknob after I made it.

Doorknob got bent in transportation but here he is in place. I made him.

Here is our white rabbit. I made him completely out of tape and brown lunch bags. Then Lani paper mached him.

Here is the Chesire Cat. Took forever to do. Will my sons father drew him on printer paper then I colored him in. The coloring would of looked better, but one my pens get dying on me, and two my sons father didn't listen to me when I said put the tape on the back. So now you can totally see where the tape is.

This is the caterpillar also made out of brown paper lunch bags.

Lovely ol'me. I think I look kinda manly.

My welcome to wonderland sign.

One view of my desk. It is suppose to be Alice's Garden. It has "grass" and foam stick on flowers. I also made some trees out of moving boxes but you can't see them from this view.

Here is another view. Now you can see the trees, and the Madhatter's grass.

One more view of my desk.

Halloween

2008-11-02T12:54:00.001-08:00

Halloween was great. Darius, Hunter, Melissa, and I all went to "Boo at the Zoo" For trick or treating. Darius didn't really understand the whole thing but that is ok he was happy to get the free candy. Darius was Darth Vader and Hunter was a Clone Trooper. I was Alice in Wonderland.... Appropriate for me right? LOL. Oh yeah, after trick or treating we got lost because Melissa who was driving made a lot of wrong turns, we ended up in West Sacramento, which was really funny. After we found our way back, we went to chipotle for dinner. Orginally our price was 30 dollars and some odd change. Then the girl gave us a discount for being in costume. Then Hunter started talking about his and Darius's costume and wouldn't stop talking and the girl gave us another discount which brought down the price to 12 dollars and some change. All his talking did some good for once. That was pretty cool.

So I was Alice in Wonderland because at work its like the biggest holiday of the year. They have a decoration competition and everything. Our units theme was fairy tales, rhymes, and children's story. Legal was its a small world. Notary and LLC's units were just traditional Halloween. Legal won the decorating contest, theres looked really good, granted they do make more money then us. We won the most animated presentation. Toni was pinichio and really got into it, voice and everything.

So To put up all the pictures its going to take some time. Plus I am going to have to separate them out into there different areas. Some pictures are blurry beacuse I took the pictures with my phone. So me patient with me, and keep checking back for pictures.

So Tired & Frustrated

2008-08-24T15:24:00.000-07:00

So I just got finished moving all of my stuff today out of my storage unit. The only things left are things I need to get rid of, and my moms stuff. I was so extremely tired especially going up and down the stairs with heavy boxes all by myself.

I have so much to blog about. So much has happened since I was last on here. Like for starters I moved out on my own, as you can tell from the previous paragraph. Darius and I moved into a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment. It has central heating and air, pictures to come later. Brand new windows, counter tops, floor and carpet. So far I like it. Though one of my neighbors i think they abandoned their apartment and the complex is now suing them. I saw one of the court papers hanging on their door amongst a bunch of other notices. Oh well their problem not mine. So here are my apartment pictures. More to come later. aka better pictures.

Here is part of my kitchen. (I took all of these pictures from my seat).

Here is one of my walls I have decorated.

This of course is the dining area.

And last but not least part of my room, and part of the living room.

One week later after moving out, I was on my way to work when a soccer mom hit me. She did 4200 dollars worth of damage to my car. We were both traveling down P st which is a 1 way road but two lanes. I was heading straight in the left lane, she was in the right lane and then all of a sudden decided to make a left turn and smacked right into me. Her response was "Oh mam, I am so sorry. I am not from around here." My response "You stupid Fucking bitch!" at the top of my lungs. Later was a freaking idiot doesn't matter where you are from if you live in California then it is the same rules across the state. Don't turn left from the wrong lane. Now I am car less, my mom is transporting me everywhere, and we are looking at cars next weekend.

Here is the side of my car, she ripped off the paneling.

This is the point of impact, oh yeah she also ran me off the road almost into the park and into a parked car. My car finally stopped over the side median. More damage underneath my car.

Another point of view of the same thing as above.

More views of it.

Thats part of my car on the side of the road, and part of the witnesses dog.

This is Darius's carseat tipped over, thankfully he was not with me at them time.

And last but not least part of my paneling stuck up underneath my car. All of these pictures were taken at the incident exactly how they were when the police showed up, and yes I did call them.

Weekend At Grandma & Grandpa Withams

2008-06-01T12:48:00.000-07:00

This past memorial weekend Darius and I went on a little adventure. We had fun. We drove by ourselves from Sacramento to Gardnerville, Nevada. We even had to drive with snow. A first for me. Of course I rented a car, especially since I'm 25 and can do it now. Yeah being 25! LOL. Anyways, Darius slept most of the way there and most of the way back. 1/2 a tank of gas there and 1/4 tank on the way back, all down hill which was fun. Darius wasn't sure about Grandma and Grandpa at first but warmed up to them real quick. Darius loved Grandma, and liked Grandpa too. Grandpa scared him when he growled at him, but Darius got over it quick and still wanted to play with him. We went to the train museum in Carson with Grandma. Darius fell asleep on the way there. We went on a train ride which Darius seemed to have mixed reviews on. Darius liked the museum the best because of Thomas the Tank Engine train set he got to play with Grandma. We did take pictures but with Grandma's camera so you have to wait to see those. We also went out to eat at buffet, all of us. Out of all the food there Darius only wanted cottage cheese, kidney beans, olives, and bread. A fake parrot on a track goes every so often across the ceiling too. It was funny because I thought someone was getting sick at first until Grandpa pointed out what it really was. Oh yeah we also went and saw the ducks at the pond by their house. It was funny because they come running up to you. Usually I see ducks running away. One ate a cracker out of Grandma's hand. Another took a cracker and ran with it, the other ducks chased it down. Darius was not sure about any of it and just held Grandma's hand. He did though like throwing the crackers at the ducks. So here are some of the pics from our adventure.
