Agideas International Design Week is one of the largest and most prestigious design festivals in the world.

The festiva offers an extraordinary program of events that celebrate design excellence and promotes the value of design driven innovation.

Throughout the festival there are a series of events for designers who are seeking inspiration, for designers emerging in the industry to explore the possibilities of careers in design, for companies looking to embrace design as an economic driver and for members of the general public interested in design, innovation and creativity.

Each year agIdeas brings 40 internationally acclaimed creative people to Melbourne, those who have pushed the boundaries and excelled in their area of creativity.

Loving Outdoors has opened up a new platform of communication and interaction for young designers to promote their work, get inspired and interact, through their designs, with their colleagues. Loving Outdoors is an exciting and ambitious new concept that will continue its successful start, claim all the more and better performances, and reward the efforts.

I always want to create a day bed  in which I can work, take a rest or have some relax, eat and drink, talk with friends.

I create a movable table on it beacuse of the need; the table has to be move on to the bed for eat or work, and at the end of the bed for relax.

Also the back cushion has a double function; it can be used as a pillow like in a real bed or as a back cushion like in a sofa.

This day bed is made of an iron structure cover with eco-friendly rattan, and the cushions are made of upholsery cover with elastic tissue .

Line is an element that serves at the same time to several needs.

It’s contemporaneously seat, table and shading device.

It’ s main feature is that it can be used as a single element, but if need be these elements are put together to create meeting places with friends, to read, to play cards or lunch.

Line has characteristic of being a pure form, continuous and infinitely repeatable.

Line is a structure made from an aluminum frame dressed again with rattan, durable in climate conditions.

Το TABLE BENCH είναι ένα παγκακι που συνδυαζει καθισμα και τραπεζι μαζι.Εχοντας μια επιπροσθετη διαφανη ημικυκλικη επιφανεια που το καλυπτει από την βροχη και τον ηλιο.Το παγκακι σου δινει τη δυνατοτητα να καθισεις με δυο διαφορετικους τροπους.Ο πρωτος είναι ακουμπωντας τη πλατη στον παγκο,και ο δευτερος χρησιμοποιωντας τον παγκο για τραπεζι.Επισης διαθετει προσωρινο χώρο αποθηκευσης μικροαντικειμενων.

Το TABLE BENCH αποτελειται από έναν σιδερενιο σκελετο πανω στο οποιο ενσωματωνονται επιφανειες ανθεκτικου ξυλου.Η διαφανης ημικυκλικη επιφανεια θα αποτελειται από γυαλι ασφαλειας  uva 15 η οποια σταθεροποιηται στο εδαφος με μια σιδερενια απιφανεια.

To TABLE BENCH δινει τη δυνατοτητα ο σιδερενιος σκετελος να παραχθει σε μαζικη παραγωγη με την βοηθεια καλουπιων,καθως και τις ξυλινες επιφανειες.

Η κατασκευή «the magnet» είναι ένα ολοκληρωμένο σύστημα που προσφέρει στον χρήστη, ανάπαυση, προστασία από τον ήλιο και τη βροχή, ενώ ταυτόχρονα μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί και για άλλες χρήσεις, αφού δίνει τη δυνατότητα για πρόχειρη εργασία, αλλά και για ξεκούραση προσφέροντας εναλλακτικούς τρόπους τοποθέτησης του σώματος, να καθίσει δηλαδή ο χρήστης με διαφορετικούς τρόπους.

Έτσι λοιπόν ο κάθε χρήστης μπορεί να χρησιμοποιήσει το «the magnet» είτε ως τραπεζάκι, είτε ως παγκάκι, είτε ως ξαπλώστρα αξιοποιώντας το κοίλο μέρος της κατασκευής, αλλά και για εργασία αξιοποιώντας το τραπεζάκι (αφού περιστρέφετε κιόλας) . Λόγω των διαστάσεων που έχει μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί από αρκετά άτομα, τα οποία μπορούν να καθίσουν είτε σε σειρά από την ίδια πλευρά, είτε πλάτη με πλάτη.

Το the magnet είναι πρωτοποριακό και ως προς την κατασκευή του.

Τα υλικά που χρησιμοποιούνται:

• Στους κυρίως όγκους χρησιμοποιείται PVC (μπορεί  να είναι από ανακυκλωμένα υλικά) επειδή είναι ελαφρύ, ανθεκτικό και έχει ποικιλία σε χρώματα.
• Για το σκίαστρο χρησιμοποιείται ελαφρύ κράμα αλουμινίου (για τον σκελετό) και σήτα από συνθετικό υλικό.
• Οι σύνδεσμοι αποτελούνται από μεταλλικά στοιχεία.

Τα χρώματα που χρησιμοποιούνται στα σχέδια είναι ενδεικτικά. Ανάλογα με την προτίμηση του πελάτη μπορούν να διαφέρουν. Αντίστοιχα, ανάλογα με την προτίμηση του πελάτη, μπορεί να διαφέρει και ο αριθμός των κυρίων όγκων (με μικρές αλλαγές στο σκίαστρο), ώστε να φιλοξενεί περισσότερους ανθρώπους, αλλά μπορεί ακόμη να παίξει και με τα σχήμα (των κυρίων όγκων από PVC)(τα 2 διαφορετικά σχήματα φαίνονται στην πρόταση).

Υπάρχει επίσης η δυνατότητα να προστίθενται ή να αφαιρούνται τραπεζάκια, ανάλογα τη χρήση.

ΕΚΠΑΙΔΕΥΤΙΚΟ ΙΔΡΥΜΑ : ΒΑΚΑΛΟ

The main idea of the project is to create, with a functional, usable and easy construction-storage object, a new landscape in the territory. Not only response to the question of sitting behind a shadow, moreover to make with these pieces an architectural dialog with Nature. Thinking about this concept, we believe that a geometric and pure figure, as a white cube, can establish this conversation with the environment, giving it a new point of view that qualifies it even more. It is a dialog between geometry and Nature that increases the both realities.

The dimensions of the commented shape, is defined by the maximum possible measure (2,6 m height), to have, actually, the greatest object that can make possible the idea of ‘pieces creating landscape’, not building  tiny things that can not talk, in a proper way, with the surroundings.

If we think about landscape, we must set some real background, (although this design permits all kinds of possible sittings). Placing it on the water intensifies this idea of thinking of a new and innovative landscape: shadows on the sea. Of course, this could be possible in latitude, and an environment, as the Mediterranean coasts, like the Greeks ones.

Moreover, placing these cubes on the water, give them non-directional situations, that are changing at every time, depending of the weather and sea conditions. The created landscape is, because of that, more than one; even more, it is never the same. At night, this organic experience still shows itself to the surroundings by a self-illumination, taking the most of the Mediterranean sun.

FUNCTIONAL CUBE

The object is designed with the idea of making a really useable, comfortable and versatile piece. It does not have a chair or a table, it has a horizontal plane, divided in practical and human scaled modules, that, with small changes, produces a several quality spaces. It can be used by a single person, a couple or a group, that could stand, sit or lay on it. The collapsible table can be used in three different positions, giving to the whole space diverse possibilities and qualities. The cube can be also used as a private or public item; in private’s house or business, or as an urban furnishing.

When the cube is floating, the people can jump into the water and they can have a pleasure and relaxing bath, or just swim around. Relaxing, refreshing, playing, practicing sports… In fact, when the table is in an upper position, you can enjoy the water they have under it; when you have a sit, you can refresh your feet in the water.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS

The project is conceived as an easy carried-mounted architectural object, form by prefabricated, small and not heavy pieces. It can be put up only by two workers, with not expensive tools, and in few time.

The materials are chosen to resist hard climate and sea conditions, and they are eco-friendly, so you can reuse or recycle them. The structure it is built with plastic materials (PVC), with some parts in stainless steel (as the stairs, or the joints of the different pieces). The cushions or puffs are covered by a white plastic-leather to have a comfortable sitting and appearance, and the stors are also made with a white perforate plastic to have privacy, while you can see from the interior.

The project also thinks about renewable energies, because the textile roof, made with the same material as the stors, have on it some photovoltaic sensors that load the LEDs set in the structural bar. They illuminated all the perimeter of the cube faces, and they provide the nocturnal sight of the ‘new landscape’.

The Meeting Area and playground for every generation

Lenz is a very particular meeting area. It combines the needs of young and old in one landscape. Lenz offers comfortable sitting on wood, relaxing resting on textile, free playing on and below honeycomb structures, cosy lying on soft belts.

Each element consists of six metal hoops forming a hexagon. The designated number of hexagonal surfaces will be arranged as desired resulting in an individual meeting area. The comprehensive conception takes up the honeycomb as recurring element additionally transforming it into a walkway, a sandpit, a climbing frame, and a laundry rack.

Κεντρική ιδέα της πρότασης είναι η αναδίπλωση μιας γραμμικής λωρίδας, η οποία αποτελεί κατασκευαστική μονάδα και μπορεί σε επανάληψη να δημιουργήσει ένα αντικείμενο που μπορεί να ενσωματώσει ποικίλες λειτουργίες.

Μια εύπλαστη λωρίδα ως κεντρικός άξονας της ιδέας.

Πιο συγκεκριμένα. η κατασκευή που προτείνεται αποτελείται από την παράθεση λωρίδων πλάτους 20 cm οι οποίες αποτελούνται από μικρότερα τμήματα στρατζαριστής λαμαρίνας, για λόγους ευκολίας στη μεταφορά και αποθήκευση. Τα εν λόγω μικρά τμήματα (Α έως Δ στην παρακάτω εικόνα) έχουν τυποποιημένες διαστάσεις για λόγους οικονομίας και μαζικής παραγωγής, και ενώνονται με μεταλλικές γωνίες δημιουργώντας μια λεπτή κατασκευαστική μονάδα που μοιάζει με μονοκονδυλιά. Το ανθρώπινο σώμα και οι διαστάσεις του ορίζουν το εργονομικό πλαίσιο των βασικών διαστάσεων και οδηγούν σε ένα αποτέλεσμα όπου το σώμα αγκαλιάζεται, ενώ η επιλογή του υλικού γίνεται με βάση την εύκολη ανακύκλωσή του και τα εύπλαστα φυσικά χαρακτηριστικά που παρουσιάζει.

Σε περίπτωση που δεν συντρέχουν ιδιαίτεροι λόγοι αποθήκευσης, οι λωρίδες μπορεί να δημιουργηθούν αυτοτελείς και όχι σε κομμάτια. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, θηλυκώνουν μεταξύ τους και ενώνονται όπου απαιτείται (π.χ. στα τμήματα που λειτουργούν ως βάση) με τη βοήθεια μεταλλικής λάμας, με αποτέλεσμα τη δημιουργία μιας σταθερής κατασκευής καθίσματος-τραπεζιού-στέγαστρου, η οποία έχει ομοιογένεια μορφολογικά και κατασκευαστικά, και μπορεί να λειτουργήσει ως τοπόσημο στους δημόσιους ανοιχτούς χώρους που χρησιμοποιείται.

Για να προστατευθεί από τις καιρικές συνθήκες, η λαμαρίνα έχει υποστεί ηλεκτροστατική βαφή με πολυεστερικές πούδρες σε ποικιλία χρωμάτων, με αποτέλεσμα κάθε κατασκευή να αποτελεί και μια χρωματική σύνθεση. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο οριοθετεί την παρουσία της στο χώρο και εμπλουτίζει το περιβάλλον στο οποίο τοποθετείται. Ελευθερία στη σύνθεση προσφέρεται και με την δυνατότητα χρήσης διάτρητης λαμαρίνας για τη δημιουργία των επιμέρους τμημάτων, η οποία δημιουργεί ενδιαφέρουσες ποιότητες φωτισμού και θέασης του περιβάλλοντος. Έτσι, μπορεί μια λωρίδα να συντίθεται από ένα Α τμήμα πλήρους (μη διάτρητης) λαμαρίνας, ένα Β τμήμα διάτρητης, ένα Γ τμήμα πλήρους, ένα Δ τμήμα διάτρητης, ένα Γ τμήμα πλήρους και στο τελείωμά της ένα Δ τμήμα διάτρητης. Οι πολλές εκδοχές και η εύκολη μεταβολή είναι σκοπός της πρότασης και συνεισφέρει σε ένα αυτοσχέδιο, μοναδικό αποτέλεσμα κάθε φορά.

Ενδεικτική κάτοψη του στεγάστρου χωρίς διάτρητα τμήματα              Διπλασιασμός της κατασκευής

Ένα από τα πλεονεκτήματα της πρότασης είναι η δυνατότητα μιας μεγαλύτερης κατασκευής σε περίπτωση που πρέπει να απευθύνεται σε περισσότερα άτομα. Έτσι, η κατασκευή μπορεί να διπλασιαστεί και το στέγαστρο να επιμηκυνθεί με την πρόσθεση ενός ακόμα τμήματος Δ, όπως φαίνεται ενδεικτικά στο παραπάνω σχήμα, χρησιμοποιώντας μια μεταλλική λάμα για επιπλέον στήριξη. Η πλήρης εκμετάλλευση του χώρου σύνθεσης (3Χ3) μπορεί να οδηγήσει σε μια τέτοια κατασκευή και να εξυπηρετήσει μια μεγάλη οικογένεια ή παρέα.

Τέλος, σα βάση για την κατασκευή –στις περιπτώσεις που απαιτείται- προτείνεται ξύλινο deck με σανίδες μεγαλύτερου πλάτους από αυτό των λωρίδων. Ενδεικτικά, προτείνεται πλάτος 60 cm και μήκος κατ’ εκτίμηση.

Για την καλύτερη κατανόηση της κατασκευής, ακολουθούν ενδεικτικές οδηγίες στησίματος.

Οδηγίες:

1. Ανάλογα με το μέγεθος της κατασκευής και τα άτομα που πρέπει να στεγαστούν, αποφασίζουμε πόσα κομμάτια Α έως Δ πρέπει να χρησιμοποιήσουμε. Ενδεικτικά, αναφέρεται ότι 3 λωρίδες αρκούν για ένα άτομο αφού δημιουργούν κάθισμα πλάτους 60 εκατοστών. Μπορούμε να επιλέξουμε ανάμεσα σε κομμάτια διαφορετικού χρώματος και διαφορετικής διαπερατότητας (διατρητη ή όχι λαμαρίνα).
2. Συναρμολογούμε τα παραπάνω κομμάτια για να δημιουργήσουμε τις λωρίδες. Όλες οι λωρίδες πρέπει να είναι ίδιες μεταξύ τους.
3. Συναρμολογούμε τις πρώτες δυο λωρίδες χρησιμοποιώντας τα θηλυκώματα που έχουν από κατασκευής τους.  Συνεχίζουμε μέχρι να ολοκληρωθεί η κατασκευή. Στη συνέχεια, όπου χρειάζεται χρησιμοποιούμε λεπτές μεταλλικές λάμες για να δέσουν καλύτερα τα κομμάτια μεταξύ τους.
4. Με αντίστροφο τρόπο, αποσυναρμολογούμε την κατασκευή και αποθηκεύουμε τα κοινά κομμάτια μαζί, ελαχιστοποιώντας τον χώρο αποθήκευσης.
