There's no start point and no end point, but on August 2nd our neighborhood galleries are open until 10pm! We also have an "Art Alley" for independent artists, including the Mobile Art Bus (Mobilus) and Eiretrea Irish Food Truck.

This Art Walk features Art Alley. Fern Alley (between Polk & Larkin) will be transformed into an outdoor night gallery for local independent artists. Anyone with works of paint, photography, video, crafts, or sculpture can register to show their work by emailing: info@polkartwalk.com.

There is also a jeweler who will be working with sterling silver and gemstones from Thanksgiving through Christmas and possibly beyond.

In addition to art for sale there are several oddities that get picked up on our cross-country trips - old cans, weird farm implements, etc.

Art prices range from $25 to $2,500 - something for everyone!

Siete Potencias Africanas Gallery invites all Lower Polk Art Walk revelers to conclude their night at SF's only BLACK owned art gallery as they host BossaNova superSTAR, Chico Coelho, live on vocals and guitar, alongside, gallery owner, Salah, on the 1's and 2's...light faire and beverages shared.

News for next month:
Next month is the “Artists in the Alley” month at Fern Alley. August will have 10 galleries, and transform Fern Alley into an outdoor night gallery open to all local artists who want to show their work.

What is an Art Walk?

There's no start point and no end point, but on October 20th our neighborhood galleries (which normally close at 6pm) are open until 10pm celebrating lower Polk's thriving arts community.

The Lower Polk Art Walk opens the following 9 galleries to the public: Shooting Gallery, White Walls, Nine Four One, Gallery 1044, The Popular Workshop, Space Gallery, LOPO Gallery, Alliance Francaise, and the Larkin St Youth Gallery.

AND. AAAAANNND......

This Art Walk opens Fern Alley to our very first "Artists in the Alley" Outdoor Night Gallery... Fern Alley will be transformed into an outdoor night gallery open to all independent artists who register with us before October 20th. Come to the Art Walk and display your best work! The alley will also feature video projected works, live art by Chad Hasegawa and APEX, as well as something fun for the kids.

Gotta love art.

REGISTER NOW TO SHOW YOUR WORK

This Art Walk (October 20th) we've got a few upgrades. First, a couple new galleries are participating. Second, FERN ALLEY will be transformed into an outdoor night gallery complete with multiple projection pieces as well as live art by San Francisco's APEX & Chad Hasegawa. The best part is we are opening to alley to independent artists (such as yourself). Register now to show your work in Fern Alley on October 20th.
