Yes it's true we all need visitors to our sites otherwise we are like a shop with it's doors locked. I normally promote other peoples stuff here but today I'm going to give myself a plug. I Found Another Great Free Tool For You

I've been changing the look of a few of my sites the last few days and in the process came across a great free tool to help me along. A little while I told you about the online text editor for us technically challenged, this one I found is an online image editor. I have been replacing my headers and found this very useful for adding text.

It's very easy to use...all you do is find an image you want to use for whatever purpose, upload it to the image editor and add your text or edit it to your taste. You can do pretty much whatever you need to enhance your image. I used it for the new header for this blog, hope you like the new look.

This Is A Blatant Plug...

Just as the title says this is a blatant plug and I don't apologize for it. Namecheap Hosting I can't say enough good stuff about them. Their prices are great and their support is even better. I say this again because I had an issue with the domain I got for my forum and after waiting for an answer for three days from the forum host( in all fairness it was the weekend and I did get the answer from them) Namecheap saved my bacon again..

Anyway as I said I got the answer to my problem, but with never having a forum with a custom domain before the answer may have well been in Chinese. I can add custom domains to my blogs blind folded, only because Namecheap walked me through the first one though.

My problem was after setting my domain up incorrectly I couldn't log in to my forum...which is a pain because if I can't login I can't get to my admin CPanel. Which meant if my members were having the same problem I was, I wouldn't know because I couldn't access the support tickets and I couldn't send out any emails to my members to let them know what was going on..not good for business.

Then I got onto Namecheaps live support and they walked me through step by step and helped me get my domain sorted, within 15 minutes my site was operational again and in the process I learned something new. Their support is outstanding and I will stick with them and highly recommend them to everyone. So honestly if you want good cheap hosting and domains this service is excellent.

Are You HTML Challenged Like Me?

I found a great little tool online that lets you change text and images to html with the click of a button. It's free, and it's become my new best friend. Yeah I know I really need to get a life....

I did all the content on my frontpage at LTE Hit Circle with it. I found it to be a lifesaver, as my experience in html is almost zero. I know how to do the line break line off by heart and that's about it.

So I was feeling a little desperate when I bought my TE and realised I needed to add all the content, then I thought "Google" there's gotta be something out there. I found a plain little page with my new best friend on it.

I was saved by this simple little tool and if I say so myself I reckon I did a pretty good job. I'll try not to break my arm while I'm patting myself on the back.

Get Traffic And Your Sites Reviewed

I found a site by accident the other day and I'm really glad I did. I thought I'd have to try it out for a few weeks before passing it on to you, but I got a big surprise I only had to test it for a few days. I've gotta say I'm impressed.

It's called Link Referral and it does work... well it is for me anyway. It doesn't take much work each day, which is something I like a lot. Basically you add your site, view 30 sites a day, review 5 sites, add 1 site to your favorites and post 1 post in the forum. In 3 days my site has had 5 good reviews, I've got new members to LTE and I'm loving it. If I have 1 small criticism of this site, it's that you have to re log in every time you leave you account section..eg say you leave your account and and go to the homepage, to get back to your account you have to log in again..but it doesn't bother me that much, it's worth it.

If you have a blog, website, personal page or an affiliate link, you really need to get it on this site. I also found a similar site called Link Reviewer, which takes a little less work per day. You just need to view 10 sites a day there is no limit on reviews, no need to post in the forum and you don't have to add any sites to your favs. I am still testing this one, but am confident it will be just as good.

It's so easy, it's almost fun.

New Social Site

I have been so busy lately, launching my new Traffic Exchange and my Social Site I haven't had time to come here and post. So I thought time to take and break and write a post, I've found out 1 thing, coming back after being away from online marketing does my head in. There is so much to catch up on, and trying to find stuff I need that's hiding in my documents and on my USB plug is a pain. Especially when I find out I deleted a lot of it.

Oh well that's life! Anyway I didn't come here to whine, I'm actually really excited about launching LTE Social Circle. and I'd love you all to come and join me there.. You can advertise free, meet other marketers and surfers, and have some fun at the same time. There's plenty to do there, and at the end of the month I'm going to be adding even more features.

I've Changed The name Of Learning To Earn

Just a heads up, I've changed the name of this blog to LTE Circle instead of Learning To Earn. There is a good reason though, it's because I am going to use LTE Circle as my brand name, I have finally purchased my Traffic Exchange which is called LTE Hit Circle and will be launched very soon. I also at some time in the future will be launching a Social Site..which will probably be called LTE Social Circle.

I did have a social site, but ning decided to start charging so I let it go. I was thinking of starting to pay the monthly fee to get my social site back, but figured after all this time it's probably gone a bit stale, so best to start from scratch.

I know my posts have been few and far between, but I have had some heavy duty personal stuff happening, but I think I'm good to go again. This is going to be my main business and my 2 other blogs will be secondary projects. I look forward to coming back full time.

Every Successful Business Needs Traffic

The one thing we all need to keep a successful business is visitors to our sites, so how do we achieve this.... it's easy and there are many free ways to do this. Traffic Exchanges, Search Engines, Email advertising and many more over the next few weeks I will explain each of these to help get you on your way.

I will start today with traffic exchanges as I have plenty of experience here. I used to own my own TE ( I will be buying another early this year..but that's another post) and have surfed many over my 7 years on the net. Although some are not the most effective traffic attractors, the good ones can be very effective and fun too.

For those of you who are new to the net, a Traffic Exchange is a site where you can submit your websites, so other members can view your site or blog. In return you surf other peoples sites to receive traffic to your site. Most are free with options to pay for an upgrade to a higher membership.

There are many TE's to chose from, but I suggest you choose the ones with higher memberships..keeping in mind some TE's are new and are still building their membership count. I found trial and error is really the only way to find the good ones.

I should also mention there are many other aspects to Te's including downline builders, solo ads etc but I will cover these in more detail in later posts.

I have not been surfing online for months due to personal issues, so I am not up to date with the new TE sites. I am getting back to surfing now so I will keep you up to date with any good sites I find. At the moment I am just surfing my two Fav golden oldies Traffic Era and Clickvoyager I have found these two sites very effective with many features.

Traffic Era has team surfing where you can surf in a team with others, it's much more fun than surfing alone. I have a team there which I am ready to start up again and would welcome anyone to come and join me there. They also have groups, you can have your own blog and much more.

In the team surfing we have clock races. In each race there are an assigned number of clocks to get, the first, second, third teams to get the assigned number of clocks first win credits it's great fun.

More Info For Your Home Business...Domain Names And Hosting

When starting your online business, there are many things to consider. Once you have found your product, thought about your marketing strategies and it's all ready to go, you are going to need a website or blog to promote your product or service. There are few options you will need to consider.

If you can build your own website, then you are halfway there,, but what if you are completely new to the world online there are other options. This blog is the very first site I had online, or if you don't want a blog there are many website builders on line. They normally give you the choice of free hosting or paid hosting..

If you want free hosting you will need to find a good free host with an easy to use site builder, I use Weebly to build my sites, they are easy to use even it you have no experience at all. I have used many free site builders over the years, but I recommend this one, it's so simple to use and they don't put forced ads on your site.

If you use a free hosting site the one thing you won't have is your own domain name, eg I made a team page for my team at Traffic Era, this is the domain name http://ltecircle.weebly.com if I wanted the URL to be http://ltecircle.com or .dot net etc I would have to buy that domain name if it is available.

I think it does make your site look more professional if you have your own domain and hosting, but it's not a necessity if you're just starting out. If you you do decide to buy your own domain name, I urge you be very careful who you buy it from.

I bought a domain name from Weycrest around about the 19th March, and needed help transferring it to my other blog after 4 or 5 support tickets to them I have no answer and they still have my money. I figured let them have it's not worth the stress. I recommend if you want to buy a domain name you go to Namecheap.

I bought my domain name from them under 24 hours ago, I used their live help to find out how to transfer my new URL to my blog, and in less than 12 hours my blog was online with the new domain. I was amazed by their support especially after my frustration with Weycrest.

Another thing I like about Namecheap is that you can use your PayPal funds and you don't need a credit card to make a purchase. A lost of hosts just assume everyone has a credit card.. It's also extremely easy to transfer your domain to blogger. They have 3 means of support...live support, their forum and their support tickets, and they are fast to respond.

What Do You Need to Build a Successful Home Business?

What do you need to do to build a successful home business? Is it targeted traffic? Is it a good product? It could be a professional looking website. Or maybe even great content... The Truth is You Need All Of The Above And Two More Key Ingredients.

First the obvious, you will need a good product or service that your future clients need, you also will need targeted traffic, a professional looking website and great content. I had been on the net quite a while before I realized the one thing I didn't see many people talking about are the two key ingredients that make all business successful whether offline or online.

So What Are They?

In my opinion, the two most important things you need to vastly improve your chances of having a successful business, are honesty and ongoing support for your clients.

Why are they are so important?

Lets look at honesty first. Say you you need an electrician or a plumber, they come out fix your problem and charge you an arm an a leg. You find out a week later they have charged you double. "Yep they conned you." What are you going to do about it, well I know what I would do. I would go out and tell everyman and his dog that they are scammers.

It works the same on the net if you aren't honest, eventually it will get around and the mud will stick. Yeah you can change your name throw a fake picture on and start all over again. Same scam different name, and you will probably make some nice money. The only thing the scammer doesn't realize is we are creatures of habit and the next scam will probably be similar to the last.

Don't they get it, we are not stupid. The end result the scammer has a dozen short term projects, they make them some cash. You and I will have a long lasting successful business with a good reputation, and in the long run will probably have more customers, and make more money. It's not brain surgery!

Now for ongoing support and customer service it fits pretty much side by side with honesty. This time you are going to buy a new TV Scenario 1. You go to the store you get assistance, even the though the person giving you the assistance would rather be out the back having a smoke rather than helping you. They sell you the TV you get it home a week later it breaks down. You go back to the store and guess what they are no longer there. You have payed out all that money for nothing. Sound familiar?

OK Scenario 2. You go down town get to the TV store find a sales assistant, who willingly tells you all the features of the TV, you're buying shows you how to use it with a smile, and as you are handing over the cash or the credit card, tells you " if you have any problems give me a call and I'll send someone out to fix it."

Which of the two would you prefer? Again it's not brain surgery. Overall, be honest, reliable treat your customers with respect, create a good reputation for yourself and your business..Give good customer service and give ongoing support if needed.

How to Get Free Traffic For You Website Or Blog

I have been marketing online for 6 years now, and have found many free traffic resources. Unfortunately it took me that long to realize that writing articles is one of the most profitable ways and it's free. It's takes a little time to build your article empire but is well worth the effort. All you have to do is write articles for your niche then submit them to articles directories. Best of all if your articles are interesting it will not only bring free traffic to your site, it will bring unique visitors that are already looking for your product or service.

Although I am using article writing as my main approach to getting free traffic to my sites, there are many other ways to accomplish this. Submitting your site to search engines can bring a steady flow of traffic, providing you use the right keywords on your site or blog. Most search engine submissions are free, but you may come across some that charge you for your submission. Whether you use free or paid submission is entirely up to you, I prefer to use free.

Social Marketing such as Facebook, Myspace, or Squidoo
Traffic Exchanges
Text Ad Sites

Like Article marketing social marketing is a great place to build a reputable name, and get to know fellow marketers and like minded people. Traffic Exchanges can work for you but not as well as other mediums. Text ads and banners ads will also bring you some free traffic, although you may not get unique visitors. There are many forums, I suggest marketing forums or forums related to your niche.

I have been flogging the article marketing idea quite a bit lately, but only because it has worked for me. I decided to list a few resources for anyone who would like to try article marketing to help grow their business. Writing articles does take some time and effort, but should bring you rewards.

Writing For Profit

I have learned an important lesson about writing articles over the last few months whilst running and writing on a friends blog. Actually my friend is really my mentor who I met when I took his blogging course 6 years ago. He constantly told me how profitable Article Writing was, and I had a go at it, I wrote 2 articles, but basically it was just too much work.

I was new to the net and wanted to make a quick buck, so I joined nearly every program out there, why didn't I listen to my mentor. I wasted 6 years on scams, get rich quick programs and all the rest of the junk out there, I'm just glad I only joined free programs and didn't waste my money. Last December I decided to go to Clickbank and find a niche product to promote. I chose a product to suit my niche which is Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Depression. I have suffered from all three for the last 12 years. I built a website..more like a splash page on a free host and posted my product on it.

I sent the website URL to my mentor to see if it was ok, and he ironically had just bought a blog on the same subject and was selling the same product. He then asked me if I was willing to write three Articles a week and after they were excepted at Ezine Articles I could post them on his blog. I agreed and would you believe after only two months I made my first Affiliate sale.

I am no longer writing on my mentors blog, I have bought a domain name and have a new blog of my own, at the moment my blog is in limbo, stuck somewhere between my domain registrar and blogger. I intend to continue writing Articles and build my name and a good reputation on the net, and build a profitable and honest business

Article marketing is not as hard as I thought it was and there are many ebooks on the subject you can read and learn from.

The basics of Article Marketing are...

1. You need to grab attention with a good eye catching title.

2. Make sure you have content that will keep people reading ( Your first paragraph is important to keep your readers attention)

3. Keep the content simple but interesting don't give to much info ( If you put all the info in your article there will be no need for them to visit your site)

4. Articles shouldn't be too long 300 to 500 words is good.

5 At the end of your article make sure you have a eye catching resource box (A small paragraph about yourself and what your website can offer the reader is fine)

The point of this post and my story is Article Marketing does pay. Yes there is a bit of work involved, and sometimes it's frustrating trying to find content on the same subject time and time again, but it is worth all the research. Also I learned a lot from researching my topic as well.

It took me 6 years to realize my mistake, I now know Articles bring more unique traffic to your site, and if you keep up the writing it will bring customers back again and again

How do you learn to earn a living online? First of all you do have to learn, and plan how your are going to run your business. That's right there are no quick fixes the internet does not pay you, its not an Automatic teller machine. If you think you are going to log on and start making a fortune you are going to be very disappointed. That slot in the front of your computer is not going to split out money.

In order to make money online you need some type of business. Whether you are selling a product, in an affiliate program, selling advertising, operating a traffic exchange or a safe list site etc, you have to work smart and sometimes hard to build this business. It isn't going do succeed on its own, and the guru's and all the hype in the world is not going to change that. It's not just a matter of having a product or a service, it's also about you and how you present yourself in your business.

Think of it this way, if you buy or open an offline business, do you think just stocking the shelves, doing some good marketing, and opening the doors is going to guarantee a successful business? The answer is no, anyone can have a good product, and a business, but not everyone can have a successful business. Because people don't just want a good product, they want to know that after they purchase the product, they are going to have on going support.

This is where trust comes into the picture, if you purchase your product from an offline business, you come face to face with the business owner or their staff. It's easy to learn who you can trust and who you can't. You know your favorite stores who you trust and will continually frequent, and the ones you wouldn't give your time of day to, because they can't be bothered giving you their time of day to you. You can guess which business's are going to be the most successful.

It's the same with your online business, but harder to prove how trustworthy a business owner really is, because you can't come face to face, and judge for yourself. You have to rely on what you are told, and try and judge whether this is a too good to be true program, or whether it is a real business and the business owner is going to give you on going service after you join their program or purchase their product or service.

So how do you start a successful business online, firstly you need to plan some realistic goals, then the obvious one is too have a good product or service, but most important, you need to sell yourself and prove your trustworthiness. It's not so hard whether your are selling a product or are in affiliate program, you need to tell the truth, follow through with what you say, never promise anything you have no intention of doing, and keep giving that all important on going support.

It really isn't brain surgery, if people trust you, and if you behave in a professional manner towards your customers, or business partners, then your business will grow. It won't happen as fast as the get rich quicker's tell you but it will come with time, and patience.

You be surprised to know that you don't need to have a lot of spare time to run a Traffic Exchange. Unless you are working on it and making some big changes.

Otherwise you really just need to check your admin area once or twice a day to check for new members(although with a Ventrino Script you will be notified by email when someone joins your site) answer support tickets, check for reported sites and approve websites and banners etc. The only only thing that takes up your time is adjusting prize pages, starting and ending surf contests or Referral contests and sending put emails to you members. All of which take minimal time.

Commitment on the other hand in my opinion is very important, and something you need to consider before you consider buying a TE. This is the main reason I sold Traffic Xtra, because I could no longer commit myself to my members, not 100% anyway. Therefore it was better for my members that I sold it to someone who could do it. I was lucky I sold TX to a friend so I know my members are going to be well taken care of.

By commitment I mean keeping up with the upkeep of your site and not letting your members down. If you have a weekly surf contest starting on a Saturday and ending on the following Sunday, then make sure that's what happens. Try and answer support tickets as quickly as possible, and if you have to go out of your way to help your members. Also keep your members up to date with a weekly newsletter with what's happening with your site.

If there are no contests happening and not much is going on it never hurts to just send an email saying hi and catching up with your members, ask if they have any problems you can help with. Or just send out a funny picture or a joke you they might enjoy. I think keeping in touch with your members is a great idea, just don't drive them to the point they get sick of hearing from you.

There will times when you need to contact your members more often, there really are no fixed rules with this. The only thing I would caution you is not to bombard them with every program you come across that might make you some money.

I did send some emails out if I really thought it may be helpful to my members, most I would try first to see if I got any results. I also don't think it does any harm to send out any good free ebooks if you think they will assist your members in their marketing ventures or whatever they do online.

The level of commitment you put into your TE I believe measures the level of success you will have. I found the hardest thing was to get your members to surf and stay committed to your site. If they are happy with your TE they will surf and the way you run it you shouldn't have too many problems. As long as you are delivering what you promise, treat you members and make your site interesting and fun you should be good. Keep in mind though there are many TE's out there so there is a lot of competition, so if you want a successful TE your site has to deliver and stand out in the crowd.

If you run your site well, there is no reason why you can't make good money from your business, but there are no guarantee's this will happen. There is a certain amount of risk with any business you venture into whether online or offline especially in these hard economic times. All you can do is give it your best shot work hard and honestly and hopefully you can own a successful TE.
