MIAC - International Exhibition of Paper Industry is the Italian Exhibition that takes place in Italy every year. It has received a great deal of attention since its first edition (1994) and has now reached its fourteenth edition. The exhibition has developed through time thanks to its excellent location and constant participation of the leading companies in the sector of the paper industry.

It usually takes place during the last weekend of March and the first weekend of April.

Lucca Digital Photo Festival

This festival has been held every year since the first edition in 2005, between the end of November and the beginning of December (next event: 24 Nov–16 Dec). It is a big photographic exhibition with important international photographers, photojournalists, photocafè, workshops and portfolio readings.

Murabilia Flower's show on the Walls

Saint Paulinus Patron, 12th July

Every year, on the evening of 12 July, during the Feast of St. Paulinus, patron of Lucca, we dispute the traditional Palio della Balestra, between the shooters belonging to the local Terzieri. The race takes place under the regulation in 1443, which appears to be the oldest regulation of shooting in Europe.

Saint Zita Virgin, 27th April

The devotion for Zita, in "odor of sanctity," grew significantly throughout its life so that at his death, the faithfuls of Lucca wanted her body to be buried in the Basilica of San Frediano. The tradition relates that the body remained uncorrupted at least until the last survey, which took place in 1652.

Settembre Lucchese is a very ancient celebration for the Saint Patron, the Volto Santo, but it is also a popular feast that brings along pagan traditions associated with propitious rites of the countryside.
The feast of Santa Croce is the traditional event par excellence in Lucca.
