“European Cyber Security Month” (ECSM) aims to promote cyber security amongst the public in order to change attitudes towards cyber threats and provide the latest information through education and exchange of good practice. Participants at the “Internet Security 3 in 1″ panel debate will try to answer some key questions: what are the main Internet security threats today for ordinary and business users? How should they protect themselves? What are state institutions doing and what is expected of them? Our everyday life is increasingly dependent on data security and the accessibility of Internet services. But do we think about security? Who is processing our data, where are they keeping it, how are they protecting it, what are the main dangers that lurk online and what responsibility do private companies and the state have? If the institutions are not providing us with adequate protection, how do we protect ourselves?

On October 22nd, from 12:00 to 15:00, there is a panel discussion titled Cyber Security in Cyber Serbia, in which local experts from all fields relevant to Internet security will be participating. The moderator is Žarko Ptiček, a lawyer specialising in IT law and a member of the RNIDS Statutory Committee. Panel participants are: Žarko Kecić, RNIDS executive director for ICT services, Luka Gerzić, IT security specialist from the company Gerzić & Associates, Milan Nikolić, director for corporate security at Telenor Serbia, Vladimir Marinkov, a lawyer specialising in cyber-crime from the law firm Guberina-Marinkov, and Miloš Rančić, system administrator at the open creative space for programming and technology enthusiasts, Hacklab Belgrade.
