Various exhibitions took place in Poti the Port city of Georgia, including architecture, art, video, photography and music.

Multimedia project “ArtSea”
Location: the city of Poti, Maltakva Water Centre and surroundings.

The multimedia project “ArtSea” reveals the potential of contemporary art in the process of economic, social, cultural, everyday, ecological and tourist development and stresses its role within the formation of today’s urban space.

The location of the project, its surroundings and territory act as a self-sufficient data that orders humanitarian and ecological parameters by itself.

That is the reason of selecting the city of Poti – a free industrial zone as the events’ site that requires an integrated research and planning from the standpoint of visual and experimental art.

Organized by ARTACTIVE and supported by Ministry of Culture of Georgia.

TV, radio, newspapers, internet, advertising, etc… We live in the information era. The information changes everything around including us. People rarely think about or analyze the information they receive daily. it gradually takes effect on an individual and tends to destroy the uniqueness of human being.

The installation represents the possible ways of information’s transformation into pure sense which may lead to understanding of something very special that I call the Main Truth.

Process: Took place in Istanbul – Presented at: Aluminium 3rd International Biennial of Contemporary Art.

Project: Interpretation of Dreams. – Gallery “Absheron”/ Baku, Azerbaijan

This is 37 days of observation process.

The process itself shows that people, when sleeping, (Dreaming) have all freedom of transportation, they can change the environment they are in, and can be transformed in any form or substance. Some become heroes or successful personas; some have visions, and some get information wile dreaming. But when they wake up, they just don’t understand why their reality hasn’t changed.

/Artist’s Opinion/

Actually they already have whatever, they have reached when dreaming, and however it is only metaphysically. People can change dreams or make them come true. They can have all even when they are awake, if not only all this cliché’s they are surrounded by. It’s whether our physical or mental environment.

Dreams give us freedom of movement, and a chance of understanding reality as it is.

/Conclusion/

Everything is real inside and outside of us, even when we dream.

Architectural bridge solutions are used to create a Bridge with a static and at the same time lightening construction itself. The old Tbilisi area where we have, basically no contemporary development ever created, with a synthesis of the of town infrastructure. The rike or “sands”
Was used for water mills in an old times, but after Georgia entered the Soviet Union, things where changed drastically; water mills destroyed, and instead, we found the large road communications. for all existing purposes we can say that the place became too overloaded with roads, but without cars on it.

Nowadays, the city has a chance to renew the old soviet non-practical decisions, with a new artistic, and functional, approach. The Foot bridge, between the old town of the right bank of the river “Mtkvari”, to the left comparatively undeveloped bank. Considering changing the whole Left bank, by developing the rike or sands area with new public spaces, such as: Museums, shops, and green areas. So we are developing the connection between the old and old-to new, with the new contemporary architecture.

By moving the left bank up to about 5 meters, we solve the problem of road communications by this. Maintaining the old road structure underneath the ground level.
After this we can have view of how can we create? How can we develop? And how can we find the right point – or concept for the area development.

CONCEPT

This Foot Bridge (Pedestrian Bridge), is a first project, in the Old Tbilisi, Exciting nowadays across the river “Mtkvari”.
The Bridge itself represents the phrase of “static movement” or “concrete movement” and the moment which might be called eternity, thus creating the background for overcoming the space proportions.
When growing through dynamic changes of shapes and forms, we can suddenly find out the criteria, or a concept. How to allow material world to change, without creating any cliches’s already exciting.
Instead of columns we can find, flexible, transforming concrete structure. Which itself is a move towards, the freedom (or flexibility) of space.
Space is giving us the freedom and the limit inside us, but at the same “time”, creating the opportunity to overcome the connection between the Time and Space.

“Manifatura”, Contemporary Arts and Crafts Days at Unkapani,/Istanbul Biennale parallel event/, Istanbul, Turkey; Is a Project, which took place in a specific area in Istanbul, called ‘Unkapani’.
This is a place where every thing is chaotically arranged: shops, barbers, fruit seller man walking all the way with his cart, strange old buildings ready to collapse, and the mixed nationalities, like: Kurdish Turkish, Arabs, Armenians, and other, making there living.

It is a place where everything is ready to be changed. Starting about 100 years ego, living nicely, making there own business, creating families and friends, now people have no choice, but to obey the Metabolised structure of the city. The whole Unkapani is going to be changed into a high standard European, market or business place.

I Luka Zet / Zautashvili,(Artist) Beste Mirey, (Designer) and Asli Dadak (Manager) had the mission, to create a nice small part, into an interesting art-place.
With people attracted from different socio-cultural environment, and different prophesies like: Artists, Architects, Film makers, Designers . . . etc.

So the cultural artistic Project began with, a close connections between the artists from different countries and the residents of Unkapani (Basically craftsmen). There where many interesting stories told by craftsmen about their parents who lived there for a long time, and made this place Appear. That now they will have to leave these places.

After, our entire project was successfully realized, with a great help of craftsmen and whole neighborhood. Firstly unpleasant faces became, pleasant and smiley.
Our art works attracted hundreds of people … all of them interested in a synthesis of art, Crafts and Design, and in creating of interesting, integral connections.

An Art Piece “Infinity=E”

The work presented in front of abandoned house, represents how the past, present, and future are interconnected. Here white represents past, gray the present and black the future. The path of an inhabitant is projected on an art piece, thus reprinting his way, the choice, when ones again he faced PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE all together!
