FYI: WE DO NOT SUPPORT THESE FRAMEWORKS / LIBRARIES

Hi Guys,

I would like to remind all customers that there are several frameworks that we don't allow onto the shared JVM servers. The Frameworks/Libraries are as follows -

Apache ORB: This library does not work on our servers.
Cocoon: This library is too big for a shared environment and has caused the server to crash in the past.
Expresso: Has caused the server to crash and uses a large amount of server resources.
Hibernate: Consumes excessive amounts of server resources.
HSQL DB: We already provide MySQL as a database server. Please use that instead.
Jahia: This library is too big for a shared environment.
Java Server Faces/JSF: Not supported; requires J2EE.
Jetspeed: Has caused major server crashes.
Jive: Has caused major server crashes.
JWMA: This has caused issues on the server. Please use JavaMail instead.
Laszlo: Requires Dedicated server to run, uses too many resources for shared hosting.
Sofia: Has caused unexpected behavior on Resin.
Springframework: requires J2EE.
Tapestry: Support has been removed due to security restrictions
Velocity: Has caused issues with Resin 2.1.
WebWorks/OpenSymphony: Not officially supported because it requires J2EE.

All of these have caused us major problems in the past or are considered inappropriate for the shared enviroment, PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM . Accounts found with these on are likely to have their Jsp/Servlet support suspended until the Libraries/Frameworks are removed.

Forum posts scraped into an RSS feed by Yahoo Pipes.
Struts Blank war upload

Hi, I downloaded the blank war that comes with struts 2.

I took the .war and renamed it to struts2-blank.war.

I uploaded it to webapps and I hit it at:

http://www.mydomain.com/struts2-blank/example/HelloWorld.action
http://www.mydomain.com/example/HelloWorld.action
http://www.mydomain.com/HelloWorld.action

and nothing happens.

The error I get is:
The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
It appears the server is grabbing the .war file and expanding it. Am I doing something wrong with the URL?

Forum posts scraped into an RSS feed by Yahoo Pipes.
