Perfectly round, symmetrical terraces on the inner wall, and even the mountain top on its floor seems perfectly located in the center.&lt;br /&gt;

Mare Frigoris  material around the north and  east  is  from Imbrian era, and the material of the  west is from Eratosthenian  era .&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

It makes a nice trio with craters Alphonsus and Ptolemaeus, on north.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Crater central peaks of this region was one of the nine areas considered for possible landing in the Apollo Moon exploration program.        Copernicus contains several prominent central peaks rising to about 800 m above the crater floor.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Meton (122 km), has a vast crater floor, on the north side of the Moon, with a well-defined edge, which consists of a number of large bays. W. Bond (158 km), whose irregular southern flanks include Timaeus polygonal crater (33 km) and which are part of Mare Frigoris north shore, is well seen through a telescope of 203 mm, good atmosphere conditions.&lt;br /&gt;

East of Heraclitus, in the shadow of the camera is a small satellite crater, Heraclitus K.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

On &lt;span class="hps"&gt;Imbrium&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;sea&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;are&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;visible&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;two&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;different colour&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;shades&lt;/span&gt; that &lt;span class="hps"&gt;divides the sea&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;in two&lt;/span&gt;. &lt;span class="hps"&gt;This&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;highlights&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;shows in fact&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;that there are two&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;types of&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;soil&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;found in&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;this&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="hps"&gt;area&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
