Of all the craters located in the south of the Moon, Moretus (114 km), it seems the nicest of all. Perfectly round, symmetrical terraces on the inner wall, and even the mountain top on its floor seems perfectly located in the center.

Mare Frigoris (Sea of cold ) is an area located north of Mare Imbrium, and extends from the east of Mare Imbrium, to north of Mare Serenitatis . Mare Frigoris material around the north and east is from Imbrian era, and the material of the west is from Eratosthenian era .

Mare Crisium , Mare Undarum , are close enough to the visible Moon to always be observed in the first half of lunation, except the first days, when detailed visual observation is impossible.

Craters-Arzachel Thebit and Rupes Recta
In the video below, is observed Arzachel crater, an impressive crater from Imbrian Era, with well defined and deep walled terraces. It makes a nice trio with craters Alphonsus and Ptolemaeus, on north.

Copernicus crater and Montes carpatus video through telescope
Craters-Copernicus is a fresh impact crater with bright rays, 95 km in diameter located on the near side Moon, visible from Earth. Crater central peaks of this region was one of the nine areas considered for possible landing in the Apollo Moon exploration program. Copernicus contains several prominent central peaks rising to about 800 m above the crater floor.

Craters-W.Bond and Meton .
Meton (122 km), has a vast crater floor, on the north side of the Moon, with a well-defined edge, which consists of a number of large bays. W. Bond (158 km), whose irregular southern flanks include Timaeus polygonal crater (33 km) and which are part of Mare Frigoris north shore, is well seen through a telescope of 203 mm, good atmosphere conditions.

Craters-Heraclitus and Licetus Heraclitus, is a complex crater and is located in rugged mountainous areas south of the Moon.The crater is 90 kilometers in diameter and 3.8 kilometers deep. Licetus-and Heraclitus are together and form the southern end. Cuvier is at west and north is Lilius. East of Heraclitus, in the shadow of the camera is a small satellite crater, Heraclitus K.

In this clip, the image is clear and mountainous region that lies to the north (image is inverted), shows features with very fine details and distinctive.
Gassendi crater is hunted by many amateur astronomers because it is large, 110 km diameter, and presents those rilles on his floor, which in clear weather, are wonderful to look through a telescope. Gassendi A , 33 km, is the 'diamond' of the big 'ring'.

Meton lunar crater is located on the north of the Moon.It has a depth of 2.6 km, and is a formation composed of several craters, rings that were joined by lava flood. The result is a crater-shaped leaf clover.

Bay of Rainbows, or Sinus Iridium, consists of Montes Jura mountains, forming a bay. It is actually the remnants of the walls of a large crater.
Isolated and elongated mountain from Mare Imbrium, is Montes Rectum.
On Imbrium sea are visible two different colour shades that divides the sea in two. This highlights shows in fact that there are two types of soil found in this area.

At the poles, the sun is always at small angles, so this is creating a unique environment, but also some difficulties in interpreting the geological region.
The southern hemisphere of the Moon craters are very different in size, appearance and how they were formed by impacts in the past.

The two craters Aristoteles and Euxodus are on the north side of the Moon. They have similar shapes but different sizes. This area, unlike the South Pole, is flat, without many craters. Here we find large seas, and or small or very large craters.

Moretus (114 km), appears as a plate. Looking from above it seems perfectly round, but it's southern edge is wider. With this form, seems a more of a copy of the Drygalski crater (149 km), but which can not be seen from Earth because is at the south of the Moon side but not visible to us.
