According to UK Gizmodo 1 in 2 UK mobile phone users use the internet via there mobile/cell phone every day using services such as facebook, myspace, youtube and reading email on the move.

More than 45% of respondents access Web sites every day while 62% check their mails. A further 24% are using their mobiles to access their social networking sites.

The New York Times have reported that Amazon are no longer pursuing in the adventure of UnBox and are now working on a project called Amazon Video on Demand which will stream TV and Movies. Unlike iTunes and Unbox, Amazon’s new digital store-front will stream any of 40,000 movies and television programs to customers. According to Bill Carr, Amazon’s VP for digital media, “Our goal is to create an immersive experience where people can’t help but get caught up in how exciting it is to simply watch a movie right from Amazon.com with a click of the button.” In this regard, the first 2 minutes of every video will begin to play when customers visit the video’s product page. Movies can be purchased and downloaded to your hard drive or stored in an Amazon video library allowing you to stream the content to other (any?) Internet connected devices. Films and TV shows from “almost all the major studios and television networks” will be available for sale or rental in the US at undisclosed prices — only Disney and its ABC subsidiary are holding out for uh, obvious reasons (Steve Jobs is Disney’s largest individual shareholder).

Amazon are working on a deal with Sony and other TV manufacturers on technology which will ultimately embed store access into for example future Sony Bravia TV’s.

Panasonic have introduced 6GB and 12GB SDHC memory cards although Panasonic have already introduced a 32GB SDHC memory card. The 6GB and 12GB SDHC cards are apparently meant for HD video recording.

Heroes is an American science fiction drama television series, created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006. The show tells the story of several people who “thought they were like everyone else… until they woke with incredible abilities” such as telepathy, time travel and flight. These people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind. The series follows the writing style of American comics with short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Even with small story arcs that move the story forward, Kring said “we have talked about where the show goes up to five seasons“.
