The Gist is here to tell you about everything going on at Leeds University Union, but it wants to hear from you, too!

You can send us your feedback on the Gist at anytime, by using the Your Comments page, or emailing the editor.

Clubs & Societies!

Would your club or society like to be featured in the Gist, online and in print too? Complete the clubs and societies questionnaire here and email it to the editor for a chance to secure your society some free publicity.

Contributors

We're looking for content focusing on student and Leeds life that you think would appeal to people like you.

Whether you've been on a great day out and want to tell people about it, you've got some top tips for saving money that you want to share with the student community, or you want to review last week's Fruity, we want to hear from you.

We also want to see your best photos and videos from Union events, or student life in general.

Hello and welcome to The Gist online!

If you're wanting to keep up to date with everything going on at LUU, whether it's gigs, club nights and societies or politics, campaigning and opinons, then you'll find The Gist a site well worth bookmarking.

It's far more than just a one way stream of information aimed at keeping you on the ball though, it's also a place where you can express yourself through our forums, submit content to us or even sell things through the Marketplace!

If you haven't seen a copy of the Freshers' Week '09 special of The Gist, be sure to grab one while there's still some left.

The second issue of the Gist is out at the start of October. As well as listing all the events planned throughout the month, there'll be a whole lot more. We've got exclusive info on the highlight of the sporting year, Varsity, we'll be telling you all about Black History Month at LUU, and we'll be letting you know how you can get involved in creating change in your Union. Don't miss it!
