After a long weekend of out of towners and partys resulted in lack of sleep and the carnival rehab pool party was something I needed to end off my long weekend. This is the desktop calendar wallpaper for the month of August 2012 which a picture of the beautiful sunset in Guimaras Strait in the Philippines while I was riding on a Jeepney. I miss the Philippines dearly and the beautiful sunsets and beaches. The thing about photographs is that it captures the places I’ve been, the people I’ve met and reminds me experiences I had. It is crazy how a photograph can take you back to that time when you took the photo.

Free Desktop Calendar Wallpaper for May 2012 | Yellow Tulips

This is the desktop calendar wallpaper for the month of May 2012 which a picture of yellow tulips. I thought it was appropriate for May because of the changing weather and when tulips bloom, it is a sign of spring for they are spring blooming perennials. I love how tulips are so minimalistic in that there is only one flower per stem. I find beauty in the smooth and clean lines of a tulip. May is my birth month and also is a month of changing warm weather which leads us to the summer months.

I recently purchased a background stand and black background material, so I can shoot against black and my friend Ryan happened to come over and he agreed to doing a quick creative male portrait photo shoot. I told him to do some yoga poses and this was warrior one but you couldn’t tell for his legs can’t be seen. I was surprised how this photo turned out for I only used the light from the ceiling as my light source.

I’m still trying to figure out what to name this photo. Please leave me your suggestions! Thanks!
