Its is a holiday weekend. Find some time to get and enjoy the warm hot sun. And of course have some fun while you are at it.

One of the best places I have ever been in the United States is Coronado Beach off the coast of San Diego, CA. It is breathtaking. Gorgeous white sugar sand. Clear blue and clean Pacific Ocean. Friendly Dolphins frolicking in the surf. It is truly stunning.

Here are some of my pics hanging out on Coronado Beach.

So I was not surprised when I learned Coronado Beach was named the No. 1 Beach in America. Of course.

USA Today and other national media announced “Dr. Beach’s” 22^nd annual picks for the best beaches in May 2012, and Coronado was named No. 1 in America. "Dr. Beach" — also known as Stephen Leatherman, director of Florida International University's Laboratory for Coastal Research — uses 50 criteria in selecting the best beaches, including water and sand quality, facilities and environmental management.

"Coronado Beach in San Diego is a 1.5 mile long, wide sandy beach set against the backdrop of the iconic Hotel del Coronado with its peaked red roof and classic Victorian architecture, according to Leatherman. “The beach is popular for swimmers, surfers, sunbathers and beachcombers. The beach is very flat, making it great for skim boarding and walking, and the sand has a silvery sheen because of the presence of mica. Families arrive in the morning, toting umbrellas, beach towels and picnic coolers for an all-day stay. A great team of lifeguards stands watch.”

This is a much deserved honor for the city of Coronado. Fabulous.

Hello Divas:

I try my best to use all natural or organic skincare on my skin. I do have super sensitive skin and organic or natural products are kind to sensitive skin.

Recently I was given the opportunity to try Melvita Rose Nectar skincare. There is a cleansing milk, hydrating facial gel, fresh mineral water for eyes, and a moisturizer with rose nectar.

These products are formulated for dry skin and claim to add moisture back to the skin. Specifically the rose nectar is a natural moisturizer and it is supposed to prevent dryness.

Hello Divas:

Spring is here and mixing bold colors with white is thecurrent hot trend of the moment. It is something so classic and fresh about pairing a bright coloreddress or denim with a white fitted jacket. Hot.

Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to create an outfitwith this very trend at Kohl’s. Imust admit I had never shopped at Kohl’s. Gasp. And I have to tell you I was literally blown away by whatKohl’s had to offer.

First Kohl’s has several designer brands such as Vera Wang,Rock and Republic, Two One Two, and a hip and stylish line by Lauren Conrad ofThe OC fame. I had so many optionsto create this look and it was so hard to choose just one outfit.

I am a huge fan of colored denim, specifically coloredskinny jeans, so I knew I wanted to create a look using this current “it” lookof the moment. After browsing andtrying on different styles, I was pleasantly surprised to find a pair of redcolored skinny ankle jeans by LC,Lauren Conrad. These jeanshave a soft and comfortable texture. They have enough stretch in them so I can move freely and they fitperfectly.

I then found the perfect fitted white blazer by TwoOne Two. It is made of cottonwith a little bit of spandex for a fitted look. I paired this jacket with the red colored denim. Perfection. Lastly, I had to find the perfect shirtto complete my look. I reallywanted to go for another “pop of color” to truly create a color-blocklook. I came across this yellowlace peasant top bySO and thought it would look wonderful with the red jeans and white fittedblazer.

In addition, all items were on sale. I purchased the jeans for $36.00; thewhite blazer at $39.99, and the top for $24.99. I spent a total of One hundred and two dollars for an outfitthat is stylish; good quality; and perfect for Spring and Summer. Yeah.

No matter how hard life gets or how unfair it is, just keep climbing.

Last week I had a wonderful opportunity to preview the new Ford Focus Electric at Zoo Atlanta. It was a gorgeous day out and the perfect setting to learn more about the new Ford Focus Electric.

Luch was provided and we were treated to a really awesome presentation by The City of Atlanta, Clean Cities Coalition Program, and The Ford Motor Company on the many benefits of using electric cars. Some of the benefits are:

Electric vehicles eliminate emissions
Eliminate the need for petroleum
In the Southeast electricity if very inexpensive
5k tax credit for purchasing an electric car
Access to HOV lanes

The Clean Cities program is a coalition of several cities that are committed to becoming green cities and providing infastructure for electric cars. Atlanta is a EV (electric) ready city and we have many electric charging stations in Atlanta.

Ford Motor Company then gave specific details about Ford's electric car strategy. Ford is dedicated to fuel efficiency. Most of their vehicles offer 40 mpg or more. In addition:

Ford will produce 1.5 million cars with eco-boost by 2013
By 2020 20% of Ford vehicles will be electric
The new Ford Focus Electric is launching in 19 markets including Atlanta.

We also got an opportunity to test drive the new Ford Focus Electric. It features:

An electric power pack with some fuel.
Owners get the equivalent of 110 miles per gallon. Wowza
Seats 5
Includes the Ford MyFordTouch technology.
Includes a really cool butterfly screen to let the owner know how much electric power is available before charging.

My experience with the car was awesome. ItsArkeedah, another fellow Atlanta fashion blogger, and I rode together and the ride was so smooth. It was very spacious and luxe moms can fit two car seats in the back. Score.

The car is super quiet because there is no motor, but I liked the quiet. It was definitely a nice change.

The new Ford Focus Electric retails for $39,200.00.

I am over the moon for this new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish. I had the opportunity to try three shades and Midnight in NYC is the one I am in love with!

Funny because I never thought I would like black nail polish. But this polish has a hint of sparkle and at times looks really black or very dark purple. Hotness!!

It took 3 coats to get the shade right but it dries super super fast. I love that. I get frustrated waiting for nail polish to dry.

The complete salon manicure polish has patented Vita-Care Technology for longer wear, more shine and nourishment. It contains 5 steps of a manicure in a bottle: base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, color, and top coat. Fabulous!

Be thankful and watch your blessings flow.

While in the elevator yesterday, a very stylish young lady stepped into the elevator and she had on the iBasic Zara mixed media sandal. Now I have seen these sandals on Atlantic-Pacific blog (love) and thought they were cute. However, seeing them up close and personal simply solidified that I have to have them. The young lady said they were also comfortable and she got a lot of compliments on them. I bet.

The iBasic Zara Sandal also comes in other colors. I am insane over the green and blue

These sandals only retail for $49, which is a steal. I also found some other styles that I am obsessing over for Summer. Zara shoes are stylish, decent quality and affordable. Perfect.

I have a new favorite blush! I received an Estée Lauder Pure Color Blush Trio as a gift and immediately fell in love. The colors give my skin a nice healthy glow and they last all day long.

Yesterday was my birthday and I did not work or anything. I totally relaxed. Yeah for me!

The luxe kids and I took a short trip to Florida a few weeks back and here are some picks. We did it up in St. Augustine, which is amazing and we stayed at the Renaissance World Golf Resort. The property was fabulous , but the rooms could have been better. However the food served at the resort was incredible!

Hello Divas:

I have had a crush on Bottega Veneta bags for a decade. To me Bottega bags are classic, elegant, top-notch quality, and most importantly understated luxury.

If you don't know, Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 and the label is known for its signature and trademarked Intrecciato weave. All bags are handmade and made of the finest Italian leather. Divas I promise you, these bags feel like pure "butta," which is interesting considering the weave texture.

One of my goals in life is town own one of these pieces of luxury. Now they are a bit expensive, but worth every penny. The classic Intrecciato hobo bag retails for $2000. Owning a Bottega bag is living the luxe life.

Vincent Martinez, and GQ magazine's Brett Fahlgren. While shopping and mixing and mingling, guests sipped on prosecco, Peroni beer, and wine and took advantage of the deluxe scotch and whiskey bar. Never to disappoint, Dennis Dean Catering passed a variety of mouthwatering nibbles such as miniature chilled lobster salad sandwiches; Angus sliders on toasted brioche buns; and petite caprese paninis with buffalo mozzarella, fresh heirloom tomatoes, and basil. Carpe Diem: Seize the day

I have to tell you I am in love with Smashbox's new 15 Limitless Hour Wear Cream Shadow. I have tried other cream shadows but none compare to this new Smashbox shadow.

It glides on like a dream. It is very creamy and lightweight. The shadow then sets and subsequently has the texture of a regular powder eye shadow. Lastly, the color is super duper intense and it really does last all day long. I had this shadow on today and it lasted through work, carpool pick-up, preparing dinner, and my new allergies. It didn't smudge one bit. I'm in love.

I have been testing out the color Riches. It is a very peachy gold color and it looks amazing on brown skin. Here are some swatches:

Luxetips Events: Sunset Yoga and Party With W Hotels and Voli Vodka

Never lose hope.

This Saturday I had the opportunity to attend a super cool event here in Atlanta. Voli Spirits kicked off a Yoga Series, entitled Sunset Yoga at the W, at the W Hotel Downtown Atlanta. This event featured 45 minutes of Yoga Instruction by Lynn Brandli (Iyengar Instructor) at the rooftop Wet Bar. It also featured a yoga after party featuring tunes by DJ Cristo and complimentary Voli Vodka cocktails.

Yoga took place as the sun was setting and what an amazing view for a peaceful yoga session.

After the yoga session, guests were treated to complimentary Voli Vodka martinis. The signature Voli drink of the evening was a ginger basil martini with fresh basil leaves. It was delish and refreshing.

After the yoga session, we all lounged by the roof top pool enjoying the music and the beautiful Atlanta skyline.

This was my kind of event. It was relaxing, fun, hip and with a gorgeous view. I will certainly attend the next one. The Sunset Yoga Series sponsored by Voli Spirits will occur once a month at the W Hotel Downtown Atlanta.

One of my fab luxe hotels has the perfect rooms for families with kids. The Del's new Blue Octopus Family Suites which are a part of the recently completed $8 million Victorian Building room renovation.

The suites feature a newly-renovated master king bedroom and sitting parlor – along with an ocean-inspired kid’s bedroom where an under-the-sea theme is carried through with ocean-blue carpet, linens and playful artwork. The fun furniture includes bunk beds (single on top, double on bottom with a trundle), bean bag chairs, a toy chest filled with items from Hotel Del’s Blue Octopus toy store, and a large-screen television with a Wii system.

For kids staying in Blue Octopus Suites, the fun begins at check in when they receive their V.I.K. (Very Important Kid) pass. The pass entitles kids to great offers at their favorite spots including MooTime Creamery, Spreckels Sweets & Treats, The Blue Octopus and Kidtopia. After they visit these locations and get a sticker from each one (no purchase required), they receive a special toy prize at Kidtopia.

Kids will enjoy visiting The Blue Octopus, a new toy store, where they will be inspired to learn about the planet through creative, imaginative playthings. The Blue Octopus features a variety of items that focus on the ocean: sea animals (sharks, whales, dolphins, octopus, seahorses, etc.), ocean activities (surfing, tide pools, shell collecting, kites, etc.), mermaids and pirates, and beach toys (boogie boards, sand toys, pool toys, etc.).

Wowza! The luxe kids would totally lose their minds if we stayed in this suite! And the day camps sound incredible! The luxe kids can have loads of fun, while I lounge by the pool sipping champagne. Or maybe I can enjoy the Del's award winning spa! This is what I call the perfect Summer getaway.

The Union Jack symbol has and always will be popular. While in Paris, last Spring, I saw a resurgence in the trend on accessories. This year, I have seen the trend on home goods, particularly at TJMaxx. There were several lacquered storage boxes with the Union jack symbol, but the piece that most interested me was a cool painted burlap ottoman from Baby and Child. Normally the piece sells for $ 169.99, but the one at TJMaxx was a fraction of the cost at only $ 79.99. There was only one, and I have only located at one of three of my favorite TJMaxxes, which happens to be the one on Cobb Parkway in the Heritage Village. If you are interested, I would hurry.
