Extremely valuable and coveted, a totally flawless diamond is very rare. According to GARRARD, the world's oldest jeweller, who designed the engagement rings for Princess Diana and many in the Royal Family, a flawless diamond is often invisible to the naked eye. Flawlessness is determined by the size, quantity, color and position of inclusions which are studied with a 10X jeweller’s loupe to determine a diamond’s clarity.

Less than one percent of gem quality diamonds ever found have no inclusions and can be called flawless or internally flawless, graded FL or IF. The fewer and smaller the inclusions, the rarer and more valuable the diamond. Very pronounced inclusions, which can be seen without the aid of a magnifying glass, are graded Pique 1 to Pique 3. Except for antique or period pieces, GARRARD only sell diamonds that are graded from flawless to VS2.

Since 1843, when Queen Victoria bestowed the honour of Crown Jeweller on the company, GARRARD has served six successive monarchs. Their craftsmen and jewellery experts have created and maintained the most potent symbols of the British Royal Family, the “Crown Jewels”, the most important jewels in the United Kingdom. The Sovereign’s Sceptre with the Cross was partly remade by Garrard in 1910 to accommodate the largest and finest cut diamond in the world, the Cullinan I, weighing 530 carats.

A 40th Birthday Invitation was created by Trish Caal of Embellishments
for a surprise 40th birthday to be held in Chicago in the midst of a cold, snowy winter.

This winter invitation included a custom monogram on top of the box and on the invitation. The custom 40th invitation was sent to each guest in an off white ultra suede box. The invitation was made of frosted Lucite reminiscent of a frozen martini vodka bar. The Lucite invitation was wrapped with a coordinating ice blue ribbon that sparkled to match the lightly dusted iridescent snowflakes.

Zuhair Murad's 2011 Bridal Collection is romantic, sensuous and startling. It explodes with imagination and excitement.

When Hollywood's A-list need to strut the red carpet in style they call Zuhair Murad. Superstars like Beyonce and Eva Longoria Parker regularly make it on to best dressed lists rocking the Lebanese designer's extravagant creations at glitzy showbiz events. With an eye for opulent fabrics, classically cut and often intricately patterned with jewels, Murad has become the go-to-guy for celebrities craving old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist.

Murad's home is in Lebanon's cosmopolitan sea side capital, Beirut. The city's fusion of ancient monuments and cosmopolitan nightlife is an ongoing source of inspiration, the designer told CNN. "Everything is unique here you see," he said of the city that has influenced his work. A bustling, vibrant trading center facing out to the Mediterranean Sea, Beirut has, over the centuries, lived under the rule of diverse cultures including the Greek, Roman and Ottoman empires. And that history shines through Murad's designs. The geodesic shapes and fancifully designed patterns found in Islamic art through to the strong lines and bold columns of Grecian architecture are all starting points for collections. .

After completing his studies in art and design, Murad opened his first atelier in Beirut in 1995. He hit the world stage in 2001 when his collection showed at Paris Haute Couture fashion week. Beirut, he says, is a city where the past, including the country's long history of conflict, is a part of its vibrant present. The ongoing process of rebuilding means ancient buildings jostle cheek-to-cheek with modern structures.

Like Beirut, Murad's collections contain a "touch of the ancient with the modern at the same time," he said. At his boutique, located in the city's downtown quarter of Solidere, Murad illustrates the connection between his work and the capital's architectural heritage. The shape of a dress reminds him of the "ancient columns" of his home town, while its color was was inspired by the "antique gold mixed with the ivory and stones" found in an Ottoman-era chandelier.

For a man this engrossed with his surroundings, it's no surprise that religious symbolism is prominent among Murad's influences. At the Al-Omari Mosque in the city center, the designer charts the spiritual significance of particular colors and shapes. "Blue dresses I like because blue is something that you know from God," he says. The color is connected to the sky, the sea and the future, all of which have "no limit".

Safari At The Zoo Passport Invitation

To celebrate a 5th birthday, at the Detroit Zoological Society, Metro Luxe Events Candice Vallone wanted to capture the true spirit of the day in the invitation.

Calling on the talents of Celeste Simpson of Impress Me Designs, a day at the Zoo Safari Passport invitation was the perfect mix of message and motivation to attend.

The Safari Zoo Passport Invitation by Impress Me Designs developed into a 6 page booklet bound in natural raffia with an outside cover made from cream heavy canvas.

The inside of the passport booklet was printed on a natural desert colored paper and the corners of each page were individually rounded. To give the look and feel of a true passport. Impress Me Designs used natural elements and earth tone colors to mimic the feel and textures one might find on safari in Africa.

Each animal was accentuated by matching "flocked" papers outlining the borders of each page with patterns representative of the Zebra, Giraffe and Cheetah. Texture was an important element designed to bring each animal to life. The animals and details were printed in a dramatic black to jump out at you.

To bring more interest to the background, different passport destination stamps were subtly watermarked into the paper. No detail was overlooked. Even the return address had a rhinoceros making an appearance. The envelope was sent with a custom postage stamp designed to compliment the safari theme.

The Chuppah.
The Chuppah was amazing.. It was constructed out of willow branches and decorated with white roses and hydrangeas. It was shaped like a dome, almost like a pavilion, and in the evening, after the ceremony during the dinner dance, it was lit up so we could see it.

The Ceremony.
It was all outside and the weather was great. Yarmulkes for the men, and fans for everyone in case it got hot. The Ceremony was very Jewish, about 80%. The rabbi did most of the talking and they had a nice Ketubah on display. They had a Sheva Brachot whereby the Rabbi read each one in Hebrew, and then a reader repeated it English. At the end when Marc broke the glass, the Rabbi told us that they would use the broken pieces and put them back together to make a Mezuzah for their apartment. Chelsea told a friend it was her idea, and that she researched it and bought it at the Jewish Museum. Clearly a lot of thought had gone into the ceremony and it was really lovely right at sunset.

The Ketubah.
The ketubah is a special type of Jewish prenuptial agreement. It is considered an integral part of a traditional Jewish marriage, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom, in relation to the bride.

The Wedding Gown.
As has been reported Chelsea was in Vera Wang, She really looked lovely, and it had a long train. Hillary really looked spectacular in a beautiful red dress with embroidered flowers and she was so attractive. Bill looked great and had lost over 20 pounds for the wedding. Both of them were beaming throughout the whole ceremony.

The Bridesmaids Dresses.
The bridesmaids also wore Vera Wang in a soft purple (one of a kind, because they had white dresses dyed to the right color). After the ceremony Chelsea changed into another white dress (Vera Wang again). Needless to say Vera was in attendance.

The Flowers.
The main house was decorated in large bouquets of white hydrangeas and roses and over the fireplaces were long displays of white Lilies (like they have at the Hotel George V in Paris where they arc across the room). In the main reception area (a tented construction behind the house), there were a variety of arrangements but the tables had a minimum of 3 to 4 different arrangements, this time in purple/pink roses and hydrangeas again. I mean a minimum of 100/150 roses per table.

The Reception.
A marquee was set up in the back behind the tennis courts. It was an amazing sight. Chandeliers, air conditioning and a huge dance-floor. There were about 450 people but it didn't feel that big. The tables were mixed arrangements in shape – some round, some square; a very long dais (where Chelsea/Marc/Bridal Party/Family were). The flowers were arranged mixed, some high, some low, with a variety of candle/water arrangements. The color palette was a soft lilac/white. We were seated at each table, with a personalized printed menu for each person (instead of a name card). Of course everyone was split up so couples were separated.

The Band.
The band was amazing, about 20/25 people with a full string section, as well as a standard band. They could play anything and did, really leading the crowd through the entire festive night. The first dance was great and Marc and Chelsea did a pretty sexy tango style which was showed how much in love they were. Bill was crying when he danced with Chelsea. They did a Hora, and yes, both Bill and Hillary were raised on the chairs and carried around the room. Hilarious.

The Food.
Very good (and now I know that Chelsea is a Vegan – there were gluten free breads and the huge wedding cake was gluten free as well). Salad, Risotto, choice of Arctic Char, Angus Steak or Vegetarian, plus Desert and Cake. We didn't finish eating until 1am or so.

After Party.
The band wrapped up at 1:30, and then we went into the Tennis Court which was converted into a lounge, with different flowers (this time red hydrangeas and roses everywhere) and a dance floor surrounded by couches, etc. Then came the comfort food: Grilled Cheese with Truffle, Seared Tuna, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Mini burgers etc). They had a DJ playing, as well as someone playing the electric violin. It was really great fun, and we headed back on the buses at 3am, and got back to the hotel at 4am. We had started the night at 4pm, so it was a long night.

Gift Bag.
Last but not least they had a great gift bag (again with the same logo/writing as the invitations/save the date) – with wine, maps, sweets, pen, stationary, all local things sourced at Rhinebeck as a tribute to the Wedding.
