Alona Beach Probably the most beautiful, and surely the most developed beach on Panglao is Alona Beach. Located at the Southwest of the island, this beach is about one and a half kilometers long, lined with nice resorts, which are great to stay for a some time, a number of well equiped diving establishments and pleasant places to eat out, if you do not want to eat at your resort's restaurant for a change.

Probably the only drawback of the beach are the large numbers of sea urchins that inhabit the water, starting some twenty or thirty meters out of the coast. You will just have to be careful when wading.

Don't forget to bring your snorkling equipment. When you swim about one hundred meters off the beach, you will reach the edge of the 'house' reef, at between three and five meters deep, and thus can be easily observed even without scuba equipment. If you are into scuba diving, though, don't forget to have a few dives here as well, as it is certainly worth it, not bad at all, even compared with the reefs the boats will bring you to.

Mantigue Island is just about 4 hectares in land size. The white powdery beach glows from afar, creating a brilliant sight as you approach Mantigue. Mantigue is sometimes also called Magsaysay.

The island is surrounded by a gleaming white beach of powdery coral sand. The clear waters reveal the hard and soft corals and sea weeds that surround the island, making it ideal for swimming, snorkling and diving. In the center of mantigue is a lush, green mini-forest filled with wild grasses and several trees and plants. One side of the island is ideal for swimming as it is shallow and has few corals. while the opposite side is a deep drop off ideal for snorkling and diving.

Mahinog is 14 km south of Mambajao. A motorela covers this distance in 20 minutes. The boat ride from Mahinog to Mantigue lasts for another 20 minutes.

In exploring the island you have to have Swimming suit, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Snorkel, mask and fins for snorkelers.

The island is surrounded by a gleaming white beach of powdery coral sand. The water rushes down into its green pool that is so relaxing and refreshing even to those who are non-swimmers. The depth of the pool is just shoulder level so you dont have to worry if you dont know how to swim you cantotally explore the area. The water is so fresh and cool just enough to cool you down during hot and humid days.

Whats intersting about katibawasan is that the fall of the water is not that strong so you can enjoy the water as it falls from a height of 250 feet.

The Municipality of El Nido is a first class municipality and managed resource protected area in the province of Palawan in the Philippines. It is about 420 kilometers southwest of Manila, and about 238 kilometers northeast of Puerto Princesa.

The municipality, covering a land area of 465.10 square kilometers in the northernmost tip of mainland Palawan, is bordered by the Linapacan Strait in the north, the Sulu Sea in the east, and the South China Sea in the west. It is composed of 45 islands and islets, each has its own unique geological formations. The highest peak is at Cadlao Island, towering up to 640 meters above sea level.

Accessibility

Coron is a small fishing village located southeast of the island of Busuanga, Palawan and opposite the island of Coron – the ancestral homeland of the Tagbanuas. It is part of the Calamianes Group of Islands and located southwest of Mindoro Island, Philippines.

The area around the wrecks have pleasant rock formations which provide for excellent snorkeling opportunities, with underwater visibility extending up to 80 feet. The water is usually calm, with almost no current. Coron is one of the most visited destinations for wreck diving in the Philippines. Wreck dive sites are found in a depth as shallow as 10-30 feet and as deep as 120-140 feet. Most are in the range of about 60-80 feet, perfect for sports divers.
