Umm…” Point being, dinner at Luz is a great way to get to know other guests, enjoy a nothing short of gourmet meal, and not spend a fortune. “I have been staying in the jungle view cabina for the past week. I can not even start to describe the ambiance. Yesterday I woke up to a howler monkey no more than five feet from the edge of the cabina! Canela and I enjoyed watching him peacefully sleep. The rest of the monkey crew later joined him and then took off towards the beach for the day. I have lived in Montezuma for two years and I have never had such a close experience with a howler monkey. Love this place. Truly magical!!” –Windi

After a winter cleaning, some new renovations and a lot of rain Luz is ready for the high season. We have many great plans for the season. Check our Facebook and web-site for up coming events. We will hold a Thanksgiving dinner at the hostel, open to all guests! This will be a dinner to get together, eat some yummy food, and enjoy this beautiful slice of paradise! For that we are thankful every single day!

We have a new YouTube Video thanks to our Swedish friends Marcus and Julian! The two of them stayed with us for a couple of days and in return made us a great video! (The video is on the “gallery” page.

For the month of October Luz is offering $10 dorms without breakfast, for those of you travelers who are on a budget!

We will continue to have breakfast served every morning, which means that we will continue to have our normal dorm rate as well.
