Our twin daughters had just turned 3 when we got them this book. This book will make a nice beginning reader for when the girls get to that age. It is a very high quality hard cover book with a ribbon for marking your place, all at a very low price for what you are getting. The cover art work is very appealing to my girls, and they ask me to read read read! We bought this along with several other Usborne books at our local independent children's book seller in Minneapolis. This book has 5 stories in it, The Nutcracker, Town Mouse Country Mouse, The Snow Queen, Alice in Wonderland, and A Day at the Farm or something like that. I like that the art work is a little different from story to story, in the Young Reading series books we've gotten the three stories in each of those has the exact same art work and it makes it monotonous and makes not seem like they are separate stories, so the varied artwork from story to story in this book was nice. I also think they did a nice job of summarizing the stories presented so that they were not too long, too grown up, or too confusing. Definitely recommend
