Welcome back everybody!!  So many things has happened since I’ve been gone!  I had a sweet little baby boy in October!  Life is SO different now, but so amazing with this little man in my life.  While I’m still on maternity leave for the time being, I came out of my newborn haze to shoot a very special newborn session!

Welcome to world, Mr. Otto Jackson Budde!!

Otto’s mama, is my very sweet and talented photographer friend, Paige Budde of Awake Photography, who shot my very own maternity session!

Well, Otto thought that it was time to party and he decided to come out early at 31 weeks on January 16!  He was a tiny little thing at birth just a little over 3 lbs, but rocked it out in the NICU and 6 weeks later is almost 6lbs!

I loved shooting Paige, Ryan and Otto in their Houston home!  Otto’s nursery is a colorful mid-century modern dream that reflects his parents perfectly!  Avid surfers, I love all the hints and details of the ocean throughout the room!  Of course we had to get Otto on a surfboard too!

As you can see, the Buddes are a GORGEOUS family!  and despite how tiny Otto is, the love that Paige and Ryan have their little man is HUGE!

Welcome, sweet boy!

At 1 year old, Liam is one handsome fella!

His parents, Rose and Jimmy, are in love with their little boy and I adore how they beam over him in their family portraits

We had a great time in my new natural light studio in Houston with Liam, all his stuffed buddies and his favorite red ball.

I just can’t wait to take more sweet baby portraits like these when I return from maternity leave!

I know it’s been a LOOOOONG time since I’ve posted on the blog!

So much has been going on!   My husband and I made a big move to Houston in July….

and meanwhile, I’m 8 months pregnant with our first baby boy!

I’ve been adjusting to a new city and a growing body meaning photography has been on the backburner for the last few months.

I’m excited for when I come back from maternity leave with an updated and revamped business in a new city!

I’ll still be in Dallas often throughout the next year, so my Dallas clients, definitely look out for my mini-sessions over the next year.

I’ve been able to take a few sessions on in Houston before officially going on maternity leave

and I’m so excited to show you these sweet new friends I’ve made!

First up is Jennie and Daniel!

Jennie was actually one of the bridemaids in one of the weddings I shot a few years ago.

Through Facebook we found out we were going be practically neighbors!  How cool is that?

She has the sweetest, cutest, and chubbiest little boy ever!  I mean, LOOK at those rolls!  I love!

One day Jennie was lamenting that she never has any pictures with her 4 month old baby Daniel because she was always the one taking pictures.

I thought that was just a tragedy and I invited her to do a “Mommy & Me” session in my new natural light studio.

I just love, love, love how this session went, and I encourage all my mamas to get a “Mommy & Me” session with their

sweet babes during this precious time in their lives when they are growing oh so fast!

Sweet little Ameya was absolutely perfect when she came to studio at 7 days old!

Aanchal had a clear vision of what she wanted for Ameya’s newborn shoot: lots of pink for her little girl and

family images that depicted all the happiness and emotion she and Alok have as first time parents.

We created a vision in pink – a perfect fit for this little princess!  I just about died over all the headbands and tutus!

And the love and joy that Aanchal and Alok have over their sweet girl is clearly overflowing.

Congratulations again, A&A!   Ameya is so beautiful and blessed!

Since it’s so HOT now in Dallas, Kaylee and Ethan’s parents opted for a casual lifestyle session in their new home for their photoshoot together!

I found some great window light in the neutral background of their bedroom

and it made for the most adorable family session as they all cuddled and played together!

Sassy Kaylee with her pigtails and big chillin’ Ethan were too cute for words together!

I shot Ingrity’s sister’s wedding last year (which was featured on Wedding Chicks last week!).

It was such a special time for the family since Ingrity got married a month before her sister!

I got to meet this lovely girl when both Gabi and Ingrity wanted to do a joint sister/sister bridal portrait session!

It’s still one of my favorite sessions to date!

I was thrilled when Ingrity wanted to me to shoot a First Anniversary Love Shoot for her and her husband.

We met on the most beautiful spring day in one of my favorite locations in Highland Park!

(Check out that amazing purple blossoming tree below!)

It was obvious that Ingrity and Michael only had eyes for each other and still very much in love!

Ingrity even brought her amazing romantic wedding dress for a little bride+groom action.

I loved every image from this session and hope you do too!

She made these beautiful lace Ao Dai’s (Vietnamese long dress) and we just had to model them!

We set up for some glamour shots in my parent’s gorgeous rose garden!

I love how my mother and her friend epitomize the Ao Dai – grace and femininity!

Anita and Pasha brought their precious little girl to the studio and Rhea could not get enough of our big green field!

She ran, twirled, picked flowers and had a grand old time while we chased after her!

Meanwhile, I couldn’t get enough her bouncy curls and big eyes!  Such a little beauty!

I also had some time to get some lovely couple shots for her gorgeous parents.

I love the bright and colorful clothes Anita chose for the session, all the colors POPPED against the lush green scenery!

Thanks for coming to the studio, you are such a beautiful family!

I’ve known Patty for many years now!  She taught at my high school, she moved down the street from my family, and her son Jefferson is one of my brother’s best friends.

She and Cary have been married for over 12 years and they have never had a large family session before.

The entire family was traveling from all over to visit for Easter weekend and Patty knew it was the perfect time to schedule a session!

It was such a joy to photograph their beautiful growing family!

I mean, what a good looking family, yes?
