Lan and Herman had their little girl and she is BEAUTIFUL! At five days old, she was as cute as can be for her newborn session! I don’t get many baby girls around here, so I loved bringing all my girly props out to Ft. Worth for this little sweetie! She took a little while to get super sleepy for us, so Lan and I got to catch up and love on her for some time. Once she was asleep, she was a perfect little princess for our session! I’m dying over her rose-bud lips and perfect little button nose! I love the light and romantic feeling of her newborn session to match her parent’s maternity session.

Fershop Houston

Every year I set aside some time and money to learn from great photographers whom I admire. I think it is just so important to examine our own work and continuously strive to be better and elevate our art. I had that perfect opportunity this past week when I drove to Houston to attend Fer Juaristi’s Fershop.

IT.WAS.AWESOME. I mean, I always wanted to take his workshop because I think he is a light genius… no a light NINJA! He is able to see light in such a special way and then transform it to make KILLER portraits. However, the workshop surpassed even my high expectations! Fer has to be one of the most genuine, honest, and friendly people who was also so willing to share his passion and ideas. Now I’ve taken plenty of workshops the past few years, but this had to be one of best ones I’ve taken so far. I came away just incredibly inspired to look at light and portraits in a whole another way. I loved that Fer doesn’t take any limitations or any preconceived expectations and just makes it work! Making a brilliant piece of art is his number one priority every time, no matter what!

I just LOVED the images I came away from the workshop. Now Fer’s and my own photography style are COMPLETELY different, however I can’t wait to try to incorporate what I’ve learned and adapt it to my own work. I seriously can’t wait.

[Lan] Soft and Romantic Maternity Session

I cannot tell you how much I love this sweet couple and their maternity session! My husband and I were friends with Herman and Lan for a long time before we all started dating each other! Now many years later and happily married, Lan and Herman are expecting their first perfect little girl in just a few weeks. Lan and Herman are BEAUTIFUL people and this little girl is going to be so lucky to have them as parents!

I had an idea to start off with a sweet, romantic, and light studio session for Lan’s maternity session and I just LOVE how they turned out! Lan is simply gorgeous with her mama glow and in her white dress. I kept the colors neutral and simple and hung some white lights in the background to add an extra element. The softness in these images is so delicious! Then we all went to Highland Park to my favorite haunt to take my usual bright and romantic shots. Their quiet and sweet love is just so evident in each image. Here are just a FEW of my favorites….

Congratulations, you guys, I simply can’t wait to meet her!!

Goodbye 2011!!

How can I even begin to recap 2011 for Lynn in Love Photo? It has been such a year of growth and meeting awesome people and capturing so much love and new beginnings! This was my first full year of business and I couldn’t be happier with where my business has taken me! I have the best clients and the most wonderful colleagues in the business, ALL whom I get to call friends! Lucky gal am I! I wanted to do do a quick photo recap of some of my favorite images of 2011 and celebrate my wonderful clients!!

I never set out to be a baby photographer, but by the end of the year, I had photographed over 20 babies and many of them several times over. I absolutely LOVE my babies with all their rolls, dimples, and smiles. I’m so excited for this part of my business to continue to flourish!

To my gorgeous mamas and babies – May 2012 bring laughter and discovery as you and your little one continue to grow!!

And lastly to my sweet senior girls – I had a blast with you guys! May 2012 bring you insight and excitement into your futures!!

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!!

It is definitely engagement season! I LOVE hearing all the engagement stories from my wedding photography inquiries this week!

My OWN love proposed to me 4 years ago on New Year’s Eve with this beauty!

I’m so glad he did! Tonight we’ll celebrate our Engageversary!

[Kho Family] Holiday Session in the Park

This is my last holiday session before the new year! I adore this family – you’ll remember Kai from his 1 month session. Well at almost 6 months, Kai is now a chubby sweet baby! Kai’s parents, Kim and Nelson, love giving her family a holiday session each year and so we met up on a cold December morning in Highland Park to take their portraits. With all the laughter, love, and warmth coming from this family, you’d never would have known we were all freezing our tushes off during their session! I loved how the whole family coordinated with their black and red outfits. Kai’s cousin Tabitha was a sweetheart and she was so cute in her red bow and plain pants. She was happily feeding everyone goldfish during the session. While we warmed up the kids in the car mid-session, we always did a mini love shoot session with Kai and Tabitha’s grandparents. LOVE!

Kim and Nelson, I loved spending time with you guys! Enjoy your images and thank you for the yummy hot chocolate!

[David] Holiday Baby Session

Look how big David as gotten!! It’s sooo fun seeing my babies grow up! You met David when he was still in my dear friend Julie’s belly and then when he was just a wee little newborn! Now at 5 months, he is a gorgeous happy sweet baby. We did a mini Holiday session for David and his family and had so much fun. I ADORE how Julie styled their family shoot. With their classic outfits and coloring, I feel like they all stepped out of a Ralph Lauren Ad. And isn’t David’s red monogrammed jumper so sweet? LOVE IT! [Vivek + Jennifer] Sweet Dallas Love Shoot

These two are incredibly darling together! I absolutely adore love shoots and so I jumped at the chance when Vivek and Jennifer asked me to take their portraits! Jennifer and Vivek has never gotten a portrait session together (not even engagements!) and since they are starting a family next year, they thought it would be great to do a session of “just them” for the holidays! Such a wonderful way to document any special time in each couple’s marriage and I highly recommend it! My husband and I try to do a love shoot every year!

Vivek and Jennifer brought their two little dogs, Ennis and Ranger, to their shoot in Highland Park, here in Dallas, TX and we had such a fun time! Decked out in navy and gray, these two were so cute and happily married to each other! You wouldn’t have known that it was lightly sprinkling on us for a good part of the session! Jennifer, you are SO pretty and petite, and I die over your freckles! These two looked so good together despite such a height difference!

[Caroline] 1 year old Holiday Session!

Get ready for some impossibly too cute baby goodness!! Caroline and her sweet mother and grandmother drove up from Ennis to take her 1 year old baby holiday pictures. Caroline was a such a DOLL in her Christmas dress bedecked in red roses. I just loved her strawberry blond hair and BIG blue eyes! Caroline had such a feisty personality and I had such fun taking her pictures in Highland Park here in Dallas, TX. I created a gorgeous set of Glitter Christmas Cards for her and I can’t wait for her friends and family to see them!

Be prepared to want to pinch some cheeks!!
