What occurred Thurs/Fri on the TSX was not actually supposed to happen till
Monday. This is the run to the September selling that will take place when the
"Go away in May" people come back. So we should have a decent run up by the end
of August. It was scheduled to commence the 15th but we did not think it would
start this quickly.

During this cycle Gold and silver will become more of
a leader. Gold/silver stocks should reap some benefits but not at the magnitude
they should. So they may be good for flips but not holds again.

Baltic
Dry Index

As you know we sort of laughed at the pundits who decided that
the BDI no longer counted because of the many larger ships being delivered that
was skewing the BDI.

Our position has always been that the BDI which is
composed of the three ship composite charts. Has always been a perfect
indicator. What was seen as an overage in tnakers in one category, should have
been compensated by a lessor amount of ships in a lessor category. So for
instance. If the Supramax was delivered and there was no work for it, then it
was mothballed. Thereby not impacting the category at all. Many sugggested that
the larger numbers would force day rates down and skewing the BDI. We suggested
that no one commissions a Supramax and then loses money with it. They mothball
it and wait for proces to rise, keeping the other tankers they have, employed
and getting a reasonable day rate.

Now add to this, trillions of QE, or
Gov assistance around the world creating false demand and you would think the
day rates would have at least stabilized. Well they haven't, which supported our
theory of a "rigged BDI" from the getgo. It was done with LIBOR why not BDI? As
soon as they realized all the rigging in the world would not save the index,
they then dismissed it as an irrelevant indicator. The trouble is, they could
not hide the fact that the Panamax, the Supramax and the Capesize were all
falling anyway, so dismissing the value of BDI did nothing except raise our
suspicions that they were struggling trying to get people not to realize what
was/is happening.

So lets take a look at BDI and see if our call that
this indicator is still the best one to follow no matter what. In fact one of
the inputs to our call of a lousy 2013 is the BDI. If we were wrong on that
call, the weighting of BDI would make our call wrong.

So we have 3
composites that create the value of BDI. One is the Capesize chart, the others
are Panamax Handysize and Supramax.

So lets look at the BDI Chart
first.

Lousy isn't it? Its literally 50 points away
from being at the lows of the crisis in 2008? Of course the pundits/analysts
say, well thats because of the Supramax weighing it down!! Really? lets look at
Supramax and see.

By golly they are right!! So we must be
wrong. Its all a figment of our active imagination then? Well wait one? Lets
look at the other 2 indexes that obviously are SMOKIN and being burdened by the
Suprmax chart!!!

Whats this? How can this be? Capesize
Handymax and Panamax are also approaching 2008 lows? How can this possibly be,
if the story of BDI was true? Surely we would have seen some sort of offset on
the obvious huge pent up demand that the analysts suggested was there and would
be there through the year and years to come?

Look at the charts and look
when the failures actually occurred. We started to climb out of the dive in 2008
when TARP/QE 1 occurred. Then when those burnt out, they retraced, only to be
supported by the next round of QE and Gov assistance around the world. Note how,
over the last 6 months as people have been waiting for Artificial stimulus 3 to
occur, the prices per day have absolutely been decimated? As China decided to
slow its economy, it has killed the charts within the BDI. Now, would the impact
have been as great if Europe and the US were doing OK? No it would not have
been! So where is global trade going? Well below the 2008 lows as far as we are
concerned, unless, someone decides to spend a shitload of taxpayer money once
again to create artificial demand!

In the past spending created the
necessary results so people like Bernanke assumed that it would obviously work
again. The difference this time is "debt". You can only afford to spend so much
before you hope things will carry on, "on their own". However, no one country
was willing to go beyond that point and force the cycle into a self sustainable
position. Why? debt! As the US spent trillions creating a false economy, they
were doing so at a time where the global economy was shrinking (that was dumb
and we said so!). By not allowing a controlled recession to last as long as it
needed too. The US (which got us in this mess in the first place) either felt
some sort of obligation to restore the economy prematurely, or, "could not
afford for a prolonged recession to occur because of debt". We think its the
latter.
So, Ben and the many other sound minds of the banking world decided
to short cut a natural cycle and now what they have created is a small disaster
waiting to happen.

Through all of this I now find myself becoming an
American basher! Why? Surely there are enough smart people in America to realize
that this is destined for failure and talking about "change" is as useless as
not doing any? But, I appear to be wrong? I thought American society would rise
up against these people and toss them! I was wrong, not only did they not toss
them, they left the banks in the hands of the criminals that screwed the world
in the first place.
Americans have a rather famous way of rewriting history
so they always look like the hero's. You see it in TV movies on a regular basis,
now its creeping over to the now of present day society. There are still people
that state emphatically that sub prime was just one of the catalysts for the
crisis and there was many others. Thats true, but all these instruments (sub
prime, CDS, etc) were created by the American Banks and brokerages. So its like
having a gun, and passing out 9 more and teaching the rest of the people that
shooting anything that moves is the right thing to do. Then when everyone but
the 10 are dead, saying that you only killed a few and the other 9 are equally
responsible?
Thats true, but Americans still will not admit they handed out
the guns and told all the other 9 that "their only option was to shoot anything
that moved" and if they did, they would make BIG money.
Yes that means there
are 9 other stupid people in the world but in the financial industries, mention
the word "BIG money" and the stupid people line up for miles, and the Americans
knew they would!
Somehow Americans no longer think that the small Norwegian
Town that is now bankrupt has anything to do with them? It was the "system".
What they continually deny is they created the "system" that did this, and have
now shown they do not "have the spine" to force the changes necessary.

So
the DOJ walks away from GS prosecution. The SEC picks token "black" people to

fry for insider trading. The SEC lays out fines for criminal, not for misleading
practices, but CRIMINAL practices and then allows everyone to reset their clocks
and start all over again. Then 2 years later re-fines the same criminals doing
the same thing. The US government, believes the machine is to big to correct so
they just ignore it. So politicians continue to be bribed and told that nothing
can change, and they accept that.
They determine as part of lessons learned
that "two big to fail" is bad for the US economy, then authorizes the 10 biggest
banks in the US to become 3 times bigger then when the financial collapse
occurred? So how does one rationalize this other then to say we are living next
door to a bunch of farkin idiots?
To cover up terrible balance sheets, they
do away with the only rule that could have kept the banks in line, and that was
FASB's "Mark to Market". So the 10 largest banks have the greatest amount of
debt that is totally unrecorded on their balance sheet, with the approval of the
government. The US citizen does nothing! Absolutely nothing.
So as we
proceed with technology, the need to defend the US from enemies from within and
around the world is being redefined. Enemies within, depend where they are and
who they are, more so now then it ever did. The rule is now, fine those within,
and use a wavejet with a cruise missile for those outside the US.

Where
we were desperately wrong was assuming Americans had balls? They really don't.
They talk big, walk big, and yell loud, but when it comes down to cleaning out
their own backyard, well someone else should do that, not me is the
attitude.

So why am I so pissed now? Plain and Simple the idiots are
dragging us down to the sewer they have created and their is absolutely nothing
we can do about it.

So you create this perception that everything is
fine, by manipulating every number set that is available. If the DOW starts to
drop, no problem, just toss the offending stock and bring in a new one, and ramp
it up. Where GM goes so Goes America? No problem, have them "Channel stuff" so
they can get their numbers up to make it appear everything is okay, and by the
time people realize it was channel stuffing we will be on our way to recovery!
er Wrong! Move ships with Copper from the LME to China making it look like they
are increasing demand when in fact the ship is being rerouted to Brazil, which
is already consuming at a low, but is not in the spotlight so the con works! Try
to preserve Natural Gas consumption by forcing shut-ins, and juggling the
storage numbers, until the lie can no longer be covered up and NG falls off a
cliff.
Take POO and route as much out of the country as possible increasing
your exports by 200% to cover up the lack of domestic consumption. So when you
are down 500K blls and the analysts predicted down 100K it looks like
consumption is rising in the US when in fact the US discounted 400K bbls
overseas or just moved one more vessel offshore with a belly full and anchored
it!

All this is good stuff, at the start of any recovery. But, when you
get to the point that is blatantly discernible that things are not going right,
you are supposed to drift back to honesty and integrity. Which means, you
fib/lie on production or consumption to instill confidence. Once restored you
own up to the fib. The trouble is, confidence was not restored, production and
demand did not come back (albeit for TARP/QE etc) and they continue to lie. So
when the shit does hit the fan. It will be far worse then what should have
occurred. Because, suddenly and very soon, someone is going to have to tell the
truth. We think 2013 is ripe for it.

In the meantime, wall street will
still try to ramp up both markets into September in the hopes of unloading as
much over inflated crap on the "go away in May" crowd. If Ben were to time some
QE for that period Sept1-15 then we could see our 14K without an issue. In fact
we are only 750 points from it now, so although that looked like an outrageous
call at the start of this year, were almost there. We just think once beyond
this leg, the lies start to be exposed for what they are and reality sets in
with a thud!

So the next 2 weeks should be good for the TSX and DOW using
that logic. So play! We just would have rather seen these last 2 updays on the
TSX occurring next week, so that pop value has to be subtracted from our 2 week
target of 12532 so we should hit 12410 or so. If the US tries to jam us to 14K
soon, then 12532 can be hit. If Gold continues the run we now expect to $1800
then we might get a little crazy and see 12836

Confidence in "Merica" and
heavy flag waving will take place from Sept1 right up to the November elections.
The only way to kill that heavy flag waving and surge of "Merican pride" is to
have Ben do nothing..... so we watch.

Next message contains TSX/DOW
charts as we can only upload 5 charts per post. The new saying is "Whereth Apple
Goes so goeth America" Why? Well they have inflated Apples weighting to drive
the market higher. Lord help us the day people have to choose between an ipad
and food. If things persist, we are not far away from that period in
history.

SilverDoctors: Tungsten Filled 1 kilo Gold Bar Discovered in UK

SilverDoctors: Tungsten Filled 1 kilo Gold Bar Discovered in UK: Australian Bullion Dealer ABC Bullion has contacted SD to advise that one of its suppliers has provided them photographic evidence of a...

Rigged markets in favor of the house

We don't have a hope in hell of beating this rigged game. Claude Resources has been in a downtrend since December 2011. This company makes money and is currently trading at a forward P/E of 6.8
They've also had excellent drill results from their Seabee project which will add a rich grade to the mill production. See news released February 13, 2012, and again in January.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-investor/markets/stocks/news/?q=CRJ-T&source=press
Tonight, after market closed it was released from the S and P that CRJ.T has been deleted from the Global Mining index, and also from the Global Gold index, although they will still be listed on the TSX composite.
Do you think the funds knew this in advance????
As always, the little guy is the last to know even though this must have been common knowledge in the "big circles" so they could get out.

I was baffled as to why this company continued on a downward trend even though they are one of the few that have managed to stay in business, make money, and bring a mine into production. Now I know why, and it tells me that this market is absolutely rigged. There is no way anyone can beat the market by studying a company's fundamentals. It's all in the momentum and trend.
God help the little guy left holding the bag.
Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack jumped over the candlestick.
Go with the flow, and get out if you show a profit. This is no longer an investor's market, or a buy and hold market, but rather a rigged game in which YOU have to leave someone else holding the bag before it's empty.
As you can see...I am one Pissed off investor.
You think it will go one way, and woops..the opposite is what it does.

Will it be any different this time? At the present time, pessimism is ruling the markets but if everyone who thinks it will drop is already out, who is left to sell?

Maybe it is different, and I'm just bouncing a few ideas around here. If everyone looks at the charts, and they all know how to read them, then that's the day when it will no longer work! Perhaps it's time to look at fundamentals rather than the VIX, or SPX or any other chart.

2012 is the year for a presidential election and I'm quite sure that Obama does not want to leave a legacy of broken markets, high jobless numbers, bailouts for the bankers and leaving poor Joe in the cold.
This might be the final year for the market..PERIOD, but I for one don't believe it will be a negative year. With low interest rates, the only decent return you can try to get is in the market or bonds. GIC's don't even keep up with inflation so you're actually getting a negative return on your money. One thing I should mention is that there is NO downside to GIC's, so just by avoiding any slide or correction in the market you can end up ahead. I know that over the years we would have been so much farther ahead just buying GIC's! But that's another topic.

Right now, I think that the markets are going to move back up. SPX could correct to the 1260 range, and a move over 1350 gives a target of 1600.

The TSE is currently neutral, but a move over 12500 gives me a target of 13500, which could be higher depending on what precious metals and the price of oil do.

During the latter part of 2012 it is very likely that more baby boomers will begin to retire and withdraw from their funds and retirement accounts. This will be the beginning of a long slide, but we're not there yet.

One thing I should mention is the price of gold. I see numerous ads to "buy your gold"!, "are you in the gold market"?, now's the time to buy gold! etc. What if..and this is just hypothetical, but what if we are ALL being set up? What if, they're waiting until just about everyone is in the gold market (which hasn't happened yet) and then they tank it hard, and I mean hard.

That will be the final nail in the coffin for Joe, and every other working class citizen because by then, the Fed will own all the banks, all the industry, all the real estate, all the homes and then they'll get your gold.

At least they can't get our souls?? or can they? ;))

Good luck trading because these are difficult times on wallstreet.

San Gold's spin off asset rising

San Gold holds over 20 million shares of SGX resources, acquired at .13 cents.
In today's market it just doesn't make sense to buy and hold. My portfolio has taken a substantial hit these past couple of months, with the greatest drop in the last 2 weeks. Gold needs to hold $1600, and all signs point to $1440 on the downside if that level doesn't hold. As I write this, gold is at $1590.

In Canadian dollars, gold is at $1648 C$, which currently places Canadian miners in a sweet spot.

Choose your favourite miners and begin accumulating when those stocks settle down and it appears to be consolidating. The period leading up to Christmas and New Years is a quiet one with very low volume. Trade carefully, and invest wisely.

http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=$GOLD&p=W&b=5&g=0&id=p52772616999
Until we get a clear signal for the upside, be like Jack, nimble, quick and buy higher when a stock begins uptrending.
Their Seabee mine located in northeastern is in production, and they have discovered a new deposit called the Santoy 8. That deposit reached commmercial production in Q1 of 2011.
In addition to the producing mine in Saskatchewan they have also discovered a new gold project called the Amisk deposit located 20 kilometres southwest of Flin Flon, Manitoba. Claude owns 65 percent and St. Eurgene mining 35 percent, with Claude being the operator of the discovery.

They've been producing gold for 19 years and have an experienced management team. This, however isn't the main reason I am invested in Claude Resources.

Claude also holds 10,000 acres in the Red Lake gold Camp, called the Madsen mine.,
Now for some history! When the gold rush was on in the Red Lake district there were 3 original mines, the Campbell mine, the Dickenson mine and the Madsen mine.

The Campbell mine produced the most gold and the mine was bought out by Placer Dome, which was then bought out by Barrick. So the Campbell mine is now Barrick Gold.
The Dickenson mine was bought out by Goldcorp, and if you recall they didn't find the deep gold until Rob McEwen held the Goldcorp challenge and the rich, deep gold was discovered.

The 3rd mine was the Madsen mine which is 100% owned by Claude Resources. They have been in the process of dewatering the old shaft and carrying out some extensive drilling. The 10,000 acre property contains a 500 ton per day mill, a functioning 4,125 foot timbered shaft and a tailings management facility. All existing infrastructure is fully permitted.

The Madsen Mine has a rich history. From 1938 until the mine’s closure in 1976, gold production exceeded 2.4 million ounces at an average grade of 0.28 oz/t (9.02 g/t). Historic production exceeded 100,000 oz/year and was derived from both the ‘Tuff’ and ‘8 Zone’ Trends.

So there you have it. Management has been successful in operating the Seabee mine for over 19 years, even with low gold prices. They have a steady stream of income with which to develop the Madsen and Amisk deposits. I believe there's still a rich deposit of gold, yet to be found on the Madsen claims.

As always, please visit the Claude Resources website and do your own diligence
October 3rd 2011 - SPX closed at 1099.23

How freaky is that? In 2008 the SPX proceeded to lose 40% to a low of 666.79 which it hit in late February, early March of 2009. Is it an early warning sign or just an odd coincidence?

The SPX closed at 1123 today and I had a look at the weekly chart. It shows support at 1000 on the weekly chart. We could see another 10% drop, which is actually a hefty correction. If 1000 doesn't hold, then 950 is the next stop followed by 870.
It was posted on Monday, September 05 2011 - 08:27pm and is such a good read that I wanted to share it. Gold took a huge dive today but the comments are still relevant. Chief's SS is a paid members read and received permission to duplicate the post.

Enjoy!

Reaction to Something Very Obvious Seems Irrational

Not sure exactly why the wiki-leak thing is news. It has been stated for years that China intends in establishing the Rimimbi as a world class currency. The only way to do that is to back your currency with assets to the point where people will see it as a rival to the Euro and the USDollar. I can't believe people believed that the Chinese were going to be a third rate player when they are now running the show?
So the amazing release that they intend on reducing the power of the US$ in the world is at best to make room for their currency? If you have two people who weigh a combined weight of 399 pounds in a boat that only holds 400 pounds, the only way to get a 3rd person in the boat is for both the people presently in the boat to lose 68 pounds each.

Then you have 3 people all weighing the same amount sharing the boat.

It's up to the two people that were in the boat to ensure that the 3rd guy does not put on any more weight and endanger the balance. If they are weak and lose the weight that allows the third to gain more weight. The Chinese want in the boat, they aren't in there yet, but want in.

The two guys (USA and Europe) are flailing and losing weight, so the third guy (China) sees an opportunity to get in the boat....?

Right now the IMF is trying to get in the boat and beat China into it. They would like a new currency based on a basket of currencies that would be the reserve currency. My bet that's not what China wants. They want in the boat, just as much as the IMF want in the boat. There is only room for 3 peeps unless everyone reduces their weight to 125 pounds.

USA will not want to be reduced to a 125 pound weakling so are trying their best to put on weight while the Euro is losing theirs. China is just saying whoa-a-a their guy, that weight is fat, not muscle. We're muscle.

This has been forecasted for 3 years, since the Chinese started buying US Debt. Does anyone really think the Chinese is trying to preserve the US Empire? They know how to play the game and are going through all the hoops to gain their rightful place at the table.

So this all has to be about Germany IMHO. This is not so much the Wikileaks thing, however separating the two, to see who is right will be difficult if not impossible. Unless, suddenly Merkle's position and the rumors out of Germany die down quickly, if they do, then we will see how this pans out.

However, as mentioned a few weeks before, this "Debt Ceiling" thing could be much more than anyone bargained for. It's turning out that way. Consumer confidence is in the toilet and soon with lawsuits going every which way will make things worse. The thing that bothers us the most was we knew we needed QE2 to continue. Many say QE2 did nothing...they are right, it did nothing for Joe and the economy. But, it did marvels for the Markets. We needed QE2 to continue to December this year. It didn't. We said that they better get something going quick - they didn't. Then the idiots knocked the legs out of the consumer by confusing him to death thinking his nation was about to default on their bills. Then to put his fears at ease, the dimwitted 6 say that to avoid death all they have to do is cut entitlements. Joe says, "what?" Entitlements to whom? He listens longer and hears Boehner say they will not increase taxes on anyone (read rich) but they will cut entitlements (read Joe).

Then Joe starts to see his 401K go south so exits the market during the "we're broke talks" and so far has not come back. What this has done is create the 3 legged chair. One more whack and you are going down. "Merkle is that leg"!

If the Markets continue to whack the German markets head for the hills because that will kill the French banks that are on the brink that Sarkozy insists are not. Remember, no one trusted the "Stress test" they did on these banks in the first place.

So tomorrow we will see if Bernanke has loosened up some money for the Plunge Protection team or not.

Gold is reacting to Merkle problems and the Chinese leaked document. But, honestly this commentary has been out for months. It was the way China was going to try to get into the boat. Perhaps seeing it in writing makes it more real, but there was no doubt they were trying to get in the boat and everyone knew it.

After all, lets suppose you are the engine that is making the world turn and every time you went to pay someone, they said sorry there Chang, we don't take that crap, give us "American Money", that..... would tend, to get under your chopsticks, after awhile.

People that assume the new normal will not include a Chinese Power house are smoking better stuff then I am.

The US Congress and Senate, can't afford a 3rd or 4th party in the boat. They are so bloated with debt that the only way to slim down is to go on a diet. A diet kills the economy. An economy they need to pay their bloated bills. So the assumption is, if they put on enough weight while the Euro is thinning out, then there still won't be room for a third person. So.....China starts to put the US on a diet

So the real bird to follow out of this flock is Merkle. Things get tougher in Germany, Euro falls apart, US Dollar skyrockets and Dow and the rest of the markets (including ours dive). Everything is priced in USDollars so that means the Euro gets "double stuck in the butt". Ben gets to keep 0% interest rates, and bonds/T-Bills will sell, but the US economy tanks with us all.

So watch Merkle and Germany.

Watch the French Banks because they will be the first to suffer the major consequences of problems in Germany.

POG, everyone will come out to hide in POG, so expect the margin call but with this kind of setting, we don't think it will matter now.
Number to close above tomorrow is 10963 or higher, below that, and no one thinks this is over.
TSX will take a hit in financials and metals, POO POG and POS will be fine. Ferts are still a buy on the pullback.

Some interesting commentaries on the drop in Gold

CENTRAL BANKS WAGING WAR ON GOLD AT THIS HOUR
The downward trendline was broken at .25 and it judging by the volume a new uptrend may have started for the stock. On the weekly chart, .30 is major support and can be used as a stop loss. The stock is approaching overbought levels at this price, after a nice rise from the bottom. .33 might be worth an entry here, and .29 - .30 is support.
Major resistance is clearly indicated on the P&F at .48. The target of .66 depends on news and how well the company executes production. The target of .66 is only a guide, and peaks can be lower, or as you know much higher.

On August 26, a report by Market Equities Research Group was released.

MARKET EQUITIES RESEARCH GROUP REPORT

The have a target of $1.35 on the stock, although this is preliminary and only as the company nears production. Bulk sampling is expected to occur in Q4 of 2011, and the mill should be operating at 2/3 capacity by Q3 of 2012. As you can see, the target they have provided could be a year or two away, so trade at your own discretion using R as selling points, and S for your buys.
This could be a good one to swing trade.
VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Aug. 23, 2011) - Metanor Resources Inc. ("Metanor") (TSX VENTURE:MTO) is pleased to provide a further update on its activities at the Bachelor Lake Gold Project. The shaft sinking of 536 feet was completed before the end of July and on budget, including the development of the 2 shaft stations (Levels 13, 14). Over 90% of the equipment required to complete the 5,000 ton bulk sample is already on site. The infrastructures are being upgraded, and are on schedule to be ready for the execution of the bulk sample. The project team is presently working with its operating team and contractor to take over the operation as the shaft sinking is complete, this phase is called the changeover - from shaft sinking to lateral development and should be complete this week. Lateral development and underground infrastructure construction will begin immediately thereafter. Serge Roy, Chairman & CEO and Ghislain Morin, President & COO both stated: "We are extremely pleased that this critical phase at the Bachelor Lake Gold Project has been completed professionally by our project team and on budget".

The Pre-Feasibility Study outlines an average annual production of 60,000 ounces commencing in July 2012 using only 66 2/3% capacity of the 1,200 tonnes per day mill with a cash cost of $464. The project has an 85% IRR with a 10 month payback using gold priced at $1,271/oz. Ron Perry, Vice-President and Treasurer commented "With today's gold price well over $1,800/oz., it is evident that the Bachelor Lake projections will far exceed those noted above".
The 15,000 m definition diamond drilling campaign at Bachelor/Hewfran is well underway and assays are in the laboratory and results are pending. Both the Bachelor Lake and the Hewfran properties, which are accessible by the present shaft, are open in all directions and at depth (with a deep hole intercept at approximately 3,500 feet). This campaign began on surface while the shaft sinking is being executed, and will move to the three new levels 13, 14 and 15 in October. The results of this drilling campaign will be inserted into the Feasibility Study.
