Her new album "Piece-by-Piece" is one more masterpiece to her winning streak of great albums. And we are graced with the perfect combo: A Sia-written song perfectly interpreted by Mrs Clarkson... Couldn't ask for more! I've said before that she is a specialist in empowering songs and I haven't been proven wrong ever since.

As for her live performances, they are as powerful as they have always been... see for yourself!

The queen of self-empowerment never stops bringing the goods. In the new video of her hit 'Stronger' she sings and dances with her fans and gives due attention to their performances. She shared the choreography with fans before the video was shot, asking them to film themselves doing it and send it in.

Rihanna's "We found love" still # 1...

For the sixth consecutive week Rihanna's smashing hit "We found Love" feat Calvin Harris stays in the apex of billboard's hot 100 chart. The infectious single is the first from her just-released album Talk That Talk. Important to highlight that "Found" is RiRi 11th number 1 single, passing hit makers like Janet Jackson (10) tying with Whitney Houston (11) and in her way to reach Madonna (12) Michael Jackson (13) Mariah carey (18) and The Beatles (20). She's back with a great new song. Kelly is the queen of self-empowerment and she's bringing some of this message to the new track, but the single is slightly different from her previous hits when it comes to the arrangements. According to Billboard.com "The single was written by Brett James (Carrie Underwood), Ester Dean (Rihanna, Beyonce), Dante Jones, and Brian Kennedy, who also produced the track." One thing you can be sure, "Mr. Know It All" is pure quality. Her new album "Stronger" due October 25.

I love break up songs! The anger, the high notes and all bad and good things that are conjured... Awesome!
Here's my top five, I selected some "angry" songs that I can't stop listening to. Hope you enjoy it.

5. Someone like You: Adele invites us to partake of her sorrow in this very emotional and heartbreaking song.

4. So What: Pink is great, she sings about a break up, but in a way that puts you in a very good mood... She's the epitome of awesomeness.

3.You oughta know: Alanis needs no introduction. I wish I could put It in first place, but this was released in 95 and a lot of songs came in the meantime. Ok, but it doesn't mean that this song is not a timeless masterpiece, the proof is that singers like Beyoncé and Britney Spears are paying their homage.

2. All I ever wanted: Kelly Clarkson is a pro when it comes to high pitched "angry" songs. And she always delivers amazing pieces of rage.

1. Rolling In the Deep: Adele expresses all her disapointment and anger in this masterpiece. I literally listened to this song more than 200 times and counting...

E.T is now the forth number one single from her album 'Teenage Dream'. Vou chamá-la de fenômeno por uma simples razão, mesmo cantando uma música horrível com uma voz mais horrorosa ainda, ela conseguiu mais de trinta milhões visualizações no youtube e vendas expressivas de seu... digamos... "single". Longe de estar milionária, como muitos equivocadamente estavam divulgando graças ao erro da "Forbes.com", o único feito (se é que podemos chamar assim) foi o de ultrapassar o número de visualizações do single 'Born This Way' da Lady Gaga. Se você ainda não ouviu o single da Rebecca Black você deve ter chegado ao Planeta Terra hoje, então farei a minha parte e postarei o vídeo para que você não durma sem saber que... After Friday comes Saturday!!!!

   Oito semanas liderando o chart britânico, duas semanas no topo do Billboard Hot 200, além de emplacar singles nos mais diversos charts... Poderiamos estar falando de uma diva do reino Pop como a Janet Jackson, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Katy Perry... Mas não, me refiro a Adele... deixe eu corrigir... ADELE.
   Ela é o pacote completo, pois não somente possui boas vendas(o que é importante para as gravadoras) como também tem uma das vozes mais marcantes, potentes e melódicas da década (o que é perfeito para nossos ouvidos). Seu segundo álbum "21" como citado no início já está na casa dos milhões (tomando um delicioso chá das 5) e só veio atestar o que seu primeiro álbum "19" já havia mostrado, que ela veio para ficar. Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert, Britney Spears e outros já expressaram sua admiração por essa virtuosa cantora.

O caldeirão da música fervilhando de novidades (como sempre) e esse bendito blog sem um post sequer! Tudo bem! Andei meio sem tempo, mas aí vai...

Glee-tastic!!!

Esse mês de abril trouxe muitas alegrias para os fanáticos por Glee; a série voltou e melhor do que nunca. Devo dizer, resisti, resisti, mas só foi assistir o primeiro episódio para a Glee-mania me dominar por completo, eles são fantásticos!!!!! A vozes deles são como um toque de Midas, sem falar na forma como as músicas ficam perfeitamente encaixadas no contexto do episódio. O último episódio: "The Power of Madonna" trouxe a musica da rainha do pop para um novo nível interpretativo e foi sensacional ver como "Like a Prayer" pode ser lindo quando bem cantado e o que dizer de "Somebody to love". Por essas e todas as outras eu digo, e sem medo, SOU UM GLEEK!!!!!

Dois dos lançamentos mais quentes dessa semana são os albums Rated R e The Fame Monster respectivamente de Rihanna e da Lady Gaga. Dois ótimos albums para quem curte pop, mas especificamente no caso da Rihanna seu novo trabalho foge a regra e ela vem com um som mais pesado e angustiado. Apesar de suas ultimas performances ao vivo terem deixado a desejar sabemos que ela não está para brincadeiras nesse novo trabalho. Lady Gaga, excêntrica, genial, e imprevisível... o que mais posso dizer?

Adam Lambert atingiu seu principal objetivo, chocar (apesar de não sermos ovos)! Em pleno Primetime americano, no palco de uma das maiores premiações do país ele simulou sexo oral e ainda deu um beijo no seu tecladista, yeah he kissed a boy!!!! O público parece não ter gostado e ele se defende com a bandeira da liberdade de expressão artística.

Ele já é consagrado até demais no mundo da música. Foi o primeiro cantor de uma banda de Rock a estrear em #1 na Billboard com um álbum solo, sem falar no single 'Smooth', parceria sua com Carlos Santana, que arrebentou nos charts. Thomas vem com um novo álbum "Cradlesong" e já faz bonito, estreou em 3º no hot 200 e seu primeiro singles 'Her Diamonds' é muito bom. Vale a pena conferir.

Shakira é melhor que 'New Moon'

A latina mais quente do show bizz está de volta e já lançou no mercado latino americano seu novo single 'Loba' que em inglês será 'She Wolf'. O single em espanhol não é catchy, ou seja, não conquista de primeira, mas não deixa de ser sensual e interessante. As pessoas podem não notar, mas as músicas da Shakira contam histórias divertidas ou romanticas e com uma certa lógica ou como gosto de dizer, com uma continuidade coerente. Enfim, apesar da música não ser as das mais marcantes de sua carreira, é boa e traz toda a sensualidade dos quadris que não mentem dessa latina muy caliente.

A rainha do pop, Madonna, relançou sua turnê no sábado dia 04/07 prestanto uma bela homenagem ao rei do pop no segundo bloco do seu show (Old School).

Ele morreu mas provocou uma revolução e com certeza muitos recordes de vendas virão, como já havia publicado ele está dominando as vendas em vários sites, mas estranhamente os charts da Billboard não mostram isso.

Que Chris Daugtry é um baita cantor eu já sabia, mas que ele era eclético ao ponto de cantar Lady Gaga foi uma surpresa. Ele fez uma versão acústica de Poker Face e diga-se de passagem foi muito boa! Vale a pena conferir.

Morte repentina alavanca as vendas.

Poucas horas após o anúncio da morte (precoce) do Rei do Pop as vendas de CDs e DVDs deram um salto estratosférico. Na lista dos "bestselling albums" do site da Amazon os trabalhos de Michael ocupam todas as posições. Vocês podem conferir no widget a sua direita.

É até uma notícia chata de ser passada, mas essas pessoas que estão correndo para ter uma última recordação dos tão marcantes trabalhos desse gênio da música estão prestando uma bonita homenagem.
