Clan Labarn

With such extensive holdings, the lords of Labarn are virtually baronets and more important than most other manorial lords. Map J3: Noron

Map square J3, where the very western end of the Sorkin Mountains gives way to Nuthela. The Anoth river is home to Orbaalese, but they quickly give way to Anoa and Taelda tribesmen. The eastern highlands are home to the Wurokin tribe of gargun and the Sokus colony of gargun, both living in the shadow of Noron, the giant whose keep sits astride the north-south road that bears his name.

Trek Movement Wheel Charts

The HarnMaster Trek Movement Wheel Charts are a set of four physical play aids for quickly handling overland travel at the table. Built from the Trek Movement Table in HarnMaster Kèthîra (HMK), each chart uses a rotating wheel to align terrain and topography, revealing the correct Leagues per Watch (LPW). Only valid combinations appear in the windows, which helps avoid mistakes and keeps play moving.

There are four versions—foot, mount, cart, and wagon—on the assumption that travel mode stays consistent while terrain changes more often during a trek. The charts include HMK’s Bearing Modes and should work with earlier editions as well. They require a bit of cutting and assembly, but once built, they’re fast to use and easy to pass around the table. Here are two versions: one formatted for US Letter and one formatted for A4 paper.

Comprehensive Pricelists

A useful aide for any GM, these pricelists are all fairly comprehensive, drawing together prices from many places. GMs should use these as a kind of price indication, actual prices charged could vary up or down depending on season, competition, supply, the seller’s greed and the buyer’s bargaining skills. Download them all and pick the one you like best.

The Price Cyclopedia by Denis Ricard lists prices for Venarive (although they could be used anywhere, I guess). It also includes details of a quality inn, The Black Swan. There are also details of the Two-finger Gang, an example Lia-Kavair guild. There’s also comprehensive pricing information on freight and caravan fees. Finally, it has a full index which is not something you see on many articles, let alone a pricelist. This one is worth a look.

Greatclans of Kaldor

This article describes the genealogy of each of the 16 Greatclans of the Kingdom of Kaldor. Each Greatclan has an individual two page article with text describing the history of the clan and its current members, a family tree showing the last 120 years of the clan’s history with intermarriages and the clan’s heraldry. The article is laid out such that when printed double sided the text describing the clan’s history will appear facing the clan’s family tree.

The ZIP file contains GEDCOM files for the single clans and one file with all 16 greatclans together. The enclosed PDF files (produced with the program ‘Stammbaumdrucker 8 Premium’) show a colorful example of what you can do with such data.

While all data come from the original work of Jonathan Nicholas, some typos and other errors have been corrected. If you find errors in the GEDCOM files, please, write a message to Peter Kramer (Parmandil).

The Golemancy Shek-Pvar is an extensive fan-made expansion introducing a new magical discipline to HârnMaster: the study and creation of magical Constructs through Shek-Pvar methodology.
The supplement stays faithful to Hârnic logic and tone, blending arcane engineering, ethics, and metaphysics into a complete, rule-driven subsystem for advanced campaigns.

Golemancy explores what happens when magic is shaped into form and asks whether that form is not only alive but also possesses a soul.

Full Ruleset (v1.8): Core framework for Construct creation, SDR/IDR/EGO systems, Cores, Tiers, and scaling tables.

Major Landholders in Oselshire

A map of the major landholders in Oselshire, Kaldor, identifying their holdings to show the wealth and weight of the great (and not so great) lords in this shire.

In coloration, I followed a somewhat other approach than my predecessors. I used the colors of the tenants-in chief [Kaldor 22] as bases (and the marks of the manor villages/towns stay in this color) and played with derivative colors for their vassals. E.g., all the lands belonging to the Earl of Osel and his underlings are shown in different shades of red. I used the color of Kaldor (purple) for the Royal Domain (instead of black), and yellow for the churches of Larani and Peoni (the beige of [Kaldor 22] being too near to the background for my eyes).

The map shows all lords with three or more manors. Furthermore, I distinguished between land under direct control and land that is enfeoffed to other lords (hatched), because the control over these two sorts is different. The map key shows the subinfeudation in several levels.

This map comes in 4 versions:

* a layered PDF (with some interesting features)
* a high resolution PNG
* a low resolution JPG
