Are you ready for a weekend of FUN, relaxation, and scrapping that will "rock your world"? Join me for the 2nd Annual Lytle Scrapper Weekend Retreat. This 3-day and 2-night retreat will be held the weekend of July 9th-11th in sunny Escondido (San Diego), CA. Here is the run-down of what you will get...

CROP AREA - Each "Lytle Scrapper" will get her own 6-ft table equipped with a comfy office chair, drink holder, and a tabletop OTT light. There is even a raised cropping island if you need to work while standing up for awhile. The use of all tools in the crop area, including two computers fully equipped with the latest scrapbooking software and hundreds of fonts, both regular and wide format printers, a Cricut Expressions and a Silhouette station, and much more, are all included.

LYTLE STUFF - Each "Lytle Scrapper" will receive a Lytle Scrapper Tote filled with awesome goodies. We will have exclusive classes not taught any where else, daily make and takes, guest demonstrations, raffles and prizes, and that's just the beginning... you all know how I like to spoil you with surprises! This was last year's treasures...

THE INN - This spacious 4-bedrooom, 3-bath inn comes with a fully equipped kitchen and separate dining area. Each guest will have a twin bed with a pillow-top mattress and plush blankets in shared bedrooms. Each guest will also have color coordinated personal items... get this... the color of your sheets, bath towels, and baskets for the kitchen and bathroom all match... no more mixing up your stuff with someone else's... everyone one has their own color! Speaking of towels, did a mention there's a pool??? Perfect for July!Check-in is at 10 AM on Friday, July 9th and check-out is at 4 PM on Sunday, July 11th. That's 54 hours of FUN! All your meals, snacks, and drinks for all 3 days, the clean-up fee, and gratuity are all included.

INFORMATION & POLICIES - So do you want to join in on the fun? There are only 12 spaces available and the cost for the entire weekend $295 per person. It is going to be such a blast... packed with lots of yummy goodies and fun surprises... the Lytle Scrapper way! Just $125 due at the time of registration holds your spot AND payment plans are available. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than June 25th. Save $10 if you pay in full at the time of registration. Registration is on a first come first served basis, based on receipt of payment. Once you have registered, additional information and directions to the retreat will be emailed to you. If you need to cancel for any reason, please be advised that a refund cannot be given unless a replacement is found for you, either by you or me. We have had such crazy weather here in So Cal all week. There was even a tornado earlier this week! Freaked me out a lytle... ok a lot... at one point I was sitting with Kyla huddled in my arms in our staircase (the inner most part of my house away from windows) on the phone with Tuan! LOL! I've been cooped up inside all week and now I am really looking forward to this weekend. I am heading off to the Anaheim Convention Center to attend the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Shows. CHA will be hosting two shows this weekend.

The first show is the CHA Craft Super Show which will be held Fri 1/22 and Sat 1/23. This is a CONSUMER show and is open to the public. You can pick up a $5 off coupon at The Scrapbook Garden. While you're at the show be sure to stop by and visit Melissa at the So Cal Retail Scrapbook Association booth for a FREE make and take. Also, my dear friend Kevin Nakagawa will be hosting a Stampscapes demonstration at the Stamping Details booth.

Then of course there's the actual CHA Trade Show which is for retailers only. This is where the industry debuts all of the upcoming new releases. So have you seen all the sneak peeks that are floating around out there? If you're a Tim Holtz or Heidi Swapp fan, you definitely want to stop by their blogs to see the all the AMAZING things they've been up to. And for the MECCA of CHA sneak peeks, you must check out The Scrap Review. I think they have someone who is solely searching for sneak peeks everyday to post on their site. You can even sort the sneak peeks by manufacturer. Definitely check it out.

Did you have a good weekend? I got Friday "night off" to go to a crop and had a great time creating. I have been bitten by the inspiration bug and am itching to get back into my scraproom and create some more! Yesterday, we took Kyla out for some fresh air and went for a stroll in Newport Beach. We tried to stop at Sprinkles for some cupcakes but the line was outrageous... I stood line for about 15 minutes and moved maybe 4 steps... in the end, I got out of line we went to the store to buy cupcake mix instead... LOL. Today, sadly, we woke up to our neighbor knocking on our door to inform us that our car had been broken into. They broke a window and at first nothing appeared to be missing. Later this afternoon, Tuan was reaching for his camera to take a picture of Kyla and realized that he forgot it in the car. Our poor Canon SLR 40D and lens gone! MAJOR SUCKAGE! So tomorrow, we have to get our window replaced and lytle Kyla has to get her 2-month shots...yay.

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope that you are off to a great 2010 start. I'm doing good... getting used to this motherhood thing. Kyla will be 2 months old next week and she's becoming quite the chubster. She's got these cute lytle chicken thighs that I just want to bite every time I change a diaper. She's started responding to play time with Mommy and Daddy too. Can't wait to scrapbook these moments...

Speaking of which, I've started to scrapbook again... YAY! I've been itching to get back into my scraproom to play especially since I've started seeing all the new sneak peeks for CHA. I can't wait to get my lytle hands on some new 7 Gypsies hardware and those Printer's Trays... and then there's all of Tim Holtz's new releases from Stamper's Anonymous and Ranger and did you hear about his new Sizzix stuff... YUM! So what have you seen recently that just absolutely inspires you to scrapbook? Or is there something new that you've gotten a chance to preview that you just can't wait to get your hands on? So many of you have asked if I will still be hosting a Lytle Scrapper Retreat this year (with having a baby and all) and the answer is YOU BET I AM! Our Lytle One

I know many of you have been waiting for this post. Thank you so much to all of you who have sent us such wonderful well wishes. So without further delay, here she is...

Kyla Tuyet-Anh Le was born on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 at 5:08 AM. She weighed 6lb 13oz and was 19.5 inches long. And she wouldn't be Mommy's lytle girl without a plumeria in her hair that Auntie Patty sent to the hospital...

Our lytle butterball arrived just in time for her first Thanksgiving...

Mommy, Daddy, and baby are all doing well. Thank you to everyone who has come to visit us and offered all your help and support. We really appreciate every one of you.

Holiday Cards & More Class This Sunday

Just wanted to share some additional photos of the Holiday Cards & More class that I will be teaching this Sunday, October 4th at The Scrapbook Garden in Huntington Beach...

Isn't that just the most darling sled you've ever seen? It's from the new Cricut Winter Woodlands cartridge.

This card was inspired by another card I saw in the Close to my Heart Wishes book.

This is the gift card holder/ gift box with a mini ornament inspired by a make and take I did with Tim Holtz back in July at The Original Rubber Stamp Convention.

Tuan and I would like to thank everyone who came to celebrate with us last Sunday at our beautiful baby shower! Thank you from the bottom of my lytle heart for all the wonderful warm wishes, kindness, and love that you all gave us. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives. I have met so many amazing, creative, and talented people through this craft and I am honored to call you all my friends. An extra special thanks to Alice, April, Karen, Linda, Melissa, Nicole, and Wanda for hosting this lovely english tea. Here are a couple of pictures I managed to sneak in before everyone arrived...

Karen, Linda, and Alice did a wonderful job with all the place settings. Karen also made chocolate lollipops in the shape of teapots. Linda worked her magic with the centerpieces and check out those rose napkins on all the plates. Alice made all of the teapots on the party favor boxes and table markers that matched the invitations... no wonder she's tired of teapots!

The food was absolutely yummy! April makes THE BEST tea sandwiches I've ever had... truly original sandwiches. Thank you to Melissa, Wanda, and Shirley for helping April put them all together. A special thank you to my brother Anthony {who's studying to become a pastry chef} for the tasty scones and tarts he made. Thank you, Mom for the delicious cake from Great Dane.

Thank you to Stacy for this awesome diaper cake and thanks lytle Rachael for giving me a heads up to what's inside =D. Thank you to Nicole for all the fun games we played... you did a great job hosting them and everyone had a blast. Thank you to all the guests for the wonderful gifts and all the diapers we received from the diaper raffle. More photos {to be posted in the sidebar} later when I receive them from Alice and Melissa who took a ton of photos for me as I was too busy running around and enjoying the moment. It was truly a special day I will never forget.
