The First Entry of Year 2012

firstly, I am busy and people are all knowing it.

secondly, my time is kinda fully occupied... and people are all knowing it too.

thus it results that I am getting lesser time to blog... and this is apparently not what I wish to happen. Struggled and struggling in "squeezing" the time. However life seems beyond my control, it seems that I have to learn to accept it and to be adapted to it. Ain't you feel so?

anyhow I believe that a journey begins with the first step. I wanna be a proactive person in keeping my bloggie alive. Yeah, at least update it once a month. I really wanna make it happen as it had been jotted down in my to-do-list for this year. No lies.

so... what should I write in this entry? A new entry for this year. A new beginning. A reminiscence 'bout what I had done on last year? Hmmm... too much to be told. So I decided to drop the idea. I rather look forward as life goes on, always.

went to watch a movie, Underworld: Awakening. An American action-horror film. Do not watch it if you feel that you have a chicken gut. I have a tiny chicken gut. But I did watched the movie. So here I am to share some comments.

the story is short. Not more than 90 mins. Viewer advisory for this movie. Those who are under 18 years old are not allowed to watch it. But the fact is that WHO CARES?! We're in Malaysia! There are many bloody fight and violence scenes. Somehow it is MATRIX-alike. Generally it is a movie series. And I totally do not aware 'bout this until today. Is it considered as a proof of leading a hectic life?

here is the movie trailer. I missed out the first 15 mins of the movie as I was late to reach the movie theater. While I was watching at the trailer, it reminds me that Underworld is somehow Residents Evil-alike too, hohoho... Hope that it is not a sarcastically review to all of you.

事实证实我没办到
是忘了怎么blog了吗？
还是忘了自己的blog style？
现在距离午夜一点钟只仅仅相差十来分钟
必须速战速决
美食篇…… 就下次吧

还在适应当中
15分钟前还在外头呼吸自由空气的我
此刻正在调适心情
准备为明天而战
大家都说吃甜食会让心情舒畅些
所以刻意吃了许多糖份较高的宵夜
确保明日万无一失

假期中
有意无意地忘记了许多的事
就连明日将进行的校务会议也忘了
还是经由老师提醒
才猛然想起
上次的会议
因为讲师视察教学
全校就只有我
侥幸逃过目睹那在会议中上演的“宫廷革命”
或许是年纪大了
对这类的纷纷绕绕感到十足的厌恶
请记得
当我裹足不前的时候
请不要强行地将我牵扯其中
别让我亲眼目睹人性的丑陋
因为我不想……
让撒旦在一旁偷笑
纳闷…… 明天的会议又会是什么情景呢？

还有一堆paper work，assignments
也被我搁在一旁
抱歉了
我只想放假
大脑思维、手脚肢体…… 都哀求我让它们放假
假期的无所事事
对我而言
……真的很重要

放假期间
整理了睡房、书桌，外加天井和电脑桌
给自己设计了一个灵修的好角落
满意！
再也没借口对灵修说不了
还在为自己规划人生目标
忙！
之前真的是太忙（盲）了
差点看不清方向了
假期虽结束了
仍会继续沉淀

God knows how madly I am in love with Google. That explains why I was nearly scream like hell when I saw the 6 colorful alphabet letters on the envelope.

however what has written in the letter is not what has stated above. It was a thank you gift from Google.

in fact I dreamed of having a job in Google and I always do. It could be a dream but I know dream may come true one day. Who knows?!

45小时

多少人晓得正常的工作时间为一周45小时？

在这样的复活节，边观赏着《红星大奖2011》，边改着一本本的功课，我深知这是个既没工钱，又没完没了的超时工作。金钱换不了时间，更别说是没工钱的牺牲。

怎么能够用金钱来衡量责任呢？我曾经为此感到困惑。直到现在，我依旧对检测责任感的准绳感到疑惑。可换个角度想想，与其将大部分时间只投注在批改作业上，挪用自己的时间去做自己喜欢、想做的事，应该不算是罪过吧？

我不甘心每个工作日的夜晚、每个星期的周末都还得望着一堆堆的簿子，默默地接受着一直改，拼命改，可又怎么都改不完的结果！我更不甘心眼巴巴地看着大部分时间都被簿子作业占用，而逐渐地将自己喜欢做的事都搁置一旁，不加理会。今晚，我出奇地想念我那许久都没更新的部落格。我甚至忘了最后一次安静地看书，通过书籍自我提升的时候。然而我更希望周末能够放松心情，懒洋洋地度过……

啊…… 看着身旁还没改完的书，好恨！我的生命、人生…… 真的不该让作业簿子给埋没！

心头萌起了这个念头 —— “我的时间，由我掌控！45小时，明天起行动！”

An Overview of the Life in IPGM-KTI

by glancing at the title of this post, obviously it tells that the teacher training college has changed its name to Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Temenggong Ibrahim (IPGM-KTI).

was sitting for the exam of semester yesterday. Have a faith of passing the exam, somehow. Hope to complete the course as soon as possible, but at the same time I am deeply knowing that the holidays were fully occupied by the training courses. It makes my life so meaningful. I cannot imagine how bored the holidays would be if the training is completed. Oh dear... how self-contradiction it is.

anyway, there is something we can never deny. Time flies. This is the third year of the training. One more year to complete it. Things are going better after I made myself a promise that to get used to the life there. Was compelling myself to be more friendly to the others and most importantly, smile more. Hence here comes the result sheet. I think I have survived from it and am fairly satisfied with the outcome.

first semester, started in November 2008.

life was torturing. I stayed in the hostel for 3 weeks. And it nearly drove me to depression. No kidding. I am serious. To me, stayed in hostel has no different as putting me in jail. Food was bad, no recreation activity at all. Completely isolated. Thus I bought the 'lil Savvy on August 2009, so that I can go back home everyday after the training.

the first semester was the most horrible semester, so far. Tons of assignments and presentations came in the same time. The tutorials were always started at 0730 hours and ended at 2230 hours. And there was once the tutorial even ended at 2300 hours. It is unforgettable as I was nearly burst into tears 'cuz of tiredness.

second semester @ November 2009

the second semester was short. It took less than a year to complete. Still, all of us were occupied with assignments and activities. Meanwhile we started to know more 'bout each others' personalities. And it made me come out with a conclusion, i.e. NOBODY IS PERFECT! So am I.

third semester @ June 2010

it was only a few weeks after the third semester had initialed, we were summoned to go for an outdoor activity. It was the second outdoor activity we had taken part within the two years. It was much more interesting if compared to the first one. I learnt the way of paddling kayak and feel like to try it again.

the third semester was the funniest semester. Much more laughings and jokes. Or maybe to me only. Anyway in the third semester, we had a jungle cooking activity as well. A good memory indeed since not everyone of us could grab the chance to experience it.

throughout the three semesters, conflicts were still occurred among us. They could be communication problem or personality matters. Who knows? After all, the third semester had completed. Look forward to the fourth semester.

Churchees

I Love Hong Kong

what are you expecting to have from these fluffy, adorable, cuddly... and some say yummy creature -- Bunny in this year?

as we are entering the Year of Bunny in the Chinese zodiac, there are numbers of film-makers from different countries have managed to get the new year off to a festive and fun start by taking in numbers of enjoyable Chinese New Year movies.

in M'sia, we have 《天天好天 Great Day》; in S'pore, they have 《大世界 It's A Great Great World》 and 《笑着回家 Homecoming》. In China, they have 《神奇侠侣 Mr. and Mrs. Incredible》; in Hong Kong, they have 《最强喜事 All's Well End's Well》and 《我爱香港·开心万岁 I Love Hong Kong》. Even in Hollywood, they have 《The Green Hornet》.

so many movies to watch, how could people are still complaining Chinese New Year is boring?!

I brought the old mama to watch a movie in the evening. A movie from the producer of 《72 Tenants of Prosperity》.

《我爱香港·开心万岁 I Love Hong Kong》is another particular brand of comedy which is affectionately known as mou lei tau in Cantonese. Despite of the mou lei tau element, the movie deals with the lives of ordinary Hong Kong citizens in the government-leased low cost flats. It is a guffaw-inducing movie indeed. But in the same time, it delivers the message of what it really means to be living within a tightly-knit large community or as well as a colony.

same as the movie 《72 Tenants of Prosperity》, the movie is star power galore. 198 stars in a film. See if you can spot them on display in a single film. But I guess it is a futile attempt in order to spot the 198 stars. Readers, here is my 'lil reminder. Do not forget that M'sia government is so good at trimming the movie scenes. I think parts of the scenes had been trimmed for unknowing reason. Anyhow it does not ruin the whole movie, that is what I should be deeply grateful for.

after all I shall say... the movie is freaking nice. More hilarious scenes than 《72 Tenants of Prosperity》. The theater was full of laughter. Everyone was amused by the story. The old mama and I were included.

to be concluded, it is an undoubtedly Hong Kong comedy movie. And I think it is the movie that you really have to watch in spite of the moviegoers are spoiled for the choices this year.

Life Is Uncertain, Eat Dessert First

Ernestine Ulmer, a little-known but much-quoted writer, was once said Life is uncertain, eat dessert first. I like this quote for unknowing reason.

last month Jean, Low, Uncle Nyang and I went to S'pore Bugis to have a Chinese-New-Year-shopping. Jean parked the car in Bugis Junction, then we walked to somewhere (you see... I'm in ignorance 'bout the streets.) to buy an apple pie.

the apple pie is strongly recommended by Jean and Low.

by looking at the brownish layer, it reminds me of roasted pig. This is not the McD apple pie. This apple pie is a classic, from the scrumptious filling to the flaky crisp brown crust.

sorry of this disgusting photo. But I really want to show the readers that how scrumptious the filling is inside the pie. Apparently the pie is filled with well-cooked apple. And I am simply cannot help remarking its cream usage. Not too much and yet not too little. The serve was so right as the pie did not tasted greasy at all.

we shared the apple pie at a dessert shop -- Ah Chew (sounds like a loud sneeze).

this dessert shop is hidden among a row of eateries. But I think it is pretty easy to find since the shop has the traditional Chinese decor and they put the hard ebony wood furniture along the corridor.

these were our order. Here is my 'lil advice. Never try cincau (S'porean prefers to call it as jelly grass or grass jelly or whatsoever) with mango! You can make it yourself at home. It is no other than mixing the cincau with mangoes. That is all. You better heed my advice if you do not feel like to spend the Sing dollars on it.

Uncle Nyang's order -- mango sago.

Low's order -- mango sago with pomelo.

the difference between the two orders is... Low's order has pomelo. If really have to choose in between the two bowls of mango sago, I would like to recommend the one with pomelo. Besides of the sweetness of the ripe and juicy mango chunks, pomelo do add in a unique flavor at every mouthful!

this is Jean's order -- watermelon sago.

Jean wanted to order the honeydew sago, but it was sold out at the point in time. Thus she made an alternate choice. Honestly speaking, a single sip could tell the difference. It is always nicer to have honeydew instead of watermelon.

wanton kuey tiew and wanton mee. These were dinner dishes that night. Recommended by Low. Perhaps I am not the fan of S'pore delicacies. Less oil, less sugar, less salt is not what I pursuing for. If really have to compare, I think even JB's tastes much more better. And point to be added, the cousin from Kampar who is currently staying in Sarawak was once criticized that JB's wanton mee was not as tasty as Kampar's. So you may guess how so-so the taste for the S'pore wanton mee to me. And the eating experience had told me that the dish is really not my cup of tea.

anyhow it is all 'bout my personal view. Since the dish was highly recommended by Low, there must be something really special that makes it good and worth to be recommended by people, doesn't it?

fried dumpling. I did not taste it. But according to them, it was too salty.

fried yau za guai (dough stick). A common dish with a common (so-so) flavor.

although the dishes were not amazed me that much, still I have to be grateful when food was served and it could fill up my stomach. Yeah, be grateful.

ali cafe

I have no idea what is the relationship between Raymond Lam and ali. Both of them seems to be the most loyal supporters of Alicafé.

by glancing at the exterior design, I felt a sudden urge to explore the cafe. The spirit was brighten up right at that point of time.

seeing is believing. Both interior and exterior designs are indeed superb. I am so regretted that I did not bring the camera there to capture the atmosphere in photograph. Luckily I am not the only one who blog 'bout it. Someone has did it before me.

nowadays, a unique menu is as important as the food and drink in a cafe. And I think Ali Cafe has successfully did it.

with the freaking local jargons and description, the menu reminded me that it is so Malaysia.

from the menu, everything looked so nice and attractive. However the images are truly for display purposes only. Let us see the differences.

well... sorry about the poor lighting photo. It was taken with mobile phone camera. Did not make a change of the setting and it resulted like this.

basically beside of Low, the rest of us (Tze Wei, Jia Hui and me) were ordered breads and buns as our supper.

Tze Wei had ordered a peanut butter thick toast. Real thick indeed. And the upper surface of bread was fully topped with peanut butter. Flavorful. Too bad the photo is unavailable.

next... Jia Hui had ordered kaya butter bread.

frankly speaking, we have to try this. It tasted good alright. The bread was really crunchy. Loving it.

and finally is my turn, i.e. Egg on Toast.

never judge a toast by its look. Somehow it looks tasty, but the fact was totally different. I made a wrong choice. The eggs tasted bland, even the pepper and kicap were added in, the taste was still the same. And the toast was another failure.

still I would give Ali Cafe 4 stars out of 5 as the environment and ambiance there are absolutely deserved to have it.

oh yeah, I almost forget it. iMac is provided for customers to use. Bonus marks are given to those Apple supporters. Whee~

A Small Gathering with Nico and Jin

bid farewell to the unproductive year 2010. And welcome to the new year 2011. I know that it sounds lame to say so on the seventh day of the year.

was glanced at the total amount of entries I had posted last year. Shocked. 26 posts altogether. It is the least posted entries since year 2008. How did I make it?! Anyway it does not matter anymore. As long as I can make sure that the same old problem will not occur again in this year.

most of the countries as well as certain states in M'sia were having a holiday on the first day of new year. However Johor was excluded. Until now, I still cannot figure out the reason of not having holiday as other states and countries did. And due to the reason of not having holiday, I had to work on the very first day of new year. Sounded pathetic to me.

however God is always with me. He knew how unwilling I was to work on that day, so He made me a compensation. A small gathering with Nico and Jin.

that was a small gathering indeed. It involved the three of us only. But we had a nice chat and photo-taking session that day in Old Town Plaza Lien Hoe.

time flies. The three of us loved to take photo together last time. As the days go by; as we are ageing... the opportunity to take photo together is seemingly getting lesser. Yeah, this is life. We cannot cease it from happening. Thus we have to learn to accept the cruelty of it. The stages of life.

although the chances of meeting up is getting lesser, but for sure that we have learn something throughout the ageing progress. To treasure every single moment that we have with family and friends.

once again... LOVE conquers all. Noted.

never ask me what makes me so hard to update the bloggie in this year. I wish to know too. Apparently being busy is just another inexcusable excuse. You and I are busy all the time. And the whole world population too. But... the only difference between you and I is that how good we are in managing the time. And obviously I am the weakest in the matter of time management. Still... who cares?

months ago (I think is on September), I was given a chance to drive to Taman Universiti with 2 colleagues. Although the elder brother was graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), but that was the very first time I visited the town, other than the university compound itself. And frankly speaking, without the colleagues, I am fairly sure that I would not be able to get there again, unless someone else knows the right path or a GPS is sponsored to me. That said. It might be the last time of visiting the town of Taman Universiti.

Tian Yuan（甜元糖水小吃店）, a dessert shop which located in Taman Universiti. The shop provides limited room for the customers, as well as the tables and chairs. But the shop was always occupied by the food hunters. At least I myself witnessed it during our 2-hours-lunch-time. And apparently the shop is liked by the whole neighborhood.

you might be curious: what makes the neighborhood could not resist the charm of this 'lil dessert shop, particularly when it is not comfortably furnished?

well, it can easily be understood right after you have the first bite. Unlike the other desserts I had tasted in any other places, Tian Yuan provides the most authentic desserts. It seemed as if the shop owner was generously put in the ingredient in making all the desserts. That explains why the desserts were so appetizing.

Pumpkin with Sweet Corns @ RM2.30, is obviously using pumpkin and sweet corns as the main ingredients. This dessert is sweet but not overpowering. Meanwhile the customers have their rights to ask for some coconut milk as the topping of dessert. And trust me, the dessert tastes better if you ask for some coconut milk.

Peanut Delight @ RM2.80, my order. A strong flavor of peanut which served in a hot liquid form. Smooth and fragrant. Peanut enthusiasts may easily fall in love with it. Even if you are not really a peanut addict, you would not say NO to this dessert. At least I did not. Anyway, if you think the portion of Peanut Delight is not enough for you, glutinous ball can be added in. Each glutinous ball costs you 60 cents only. However I was disappointed by the glutinous ball, honestly speaking. Was not that sticky and chewy. A 'lil disappointment to this dessert-hunting-trip.

after all, the desserts there are still worth to give them a try. There must have some other undiscovered reasons for making the neighborhood so in love with it. So... just go and find out and do not be hesitated to share with me. ( =

and dear faithfully readers, I miss you guys just as how badly you guys are missing me too. hohoho...

apparently the seemingly never-ending work is still waiting for me to accomplish it. However, I just cannot tehen anymore. I miss bloggie so badly. Just try to understand a concept: how could we ask a writer not to write, or a singer not to sing? Now you might understand how I feel when I was unable to blog while I intended to that much. So I decided to take the risk. The risk of unable to complete the work in time. ++"

last Sunday, hardly the Pelangians had a gathering with one of the long-lost friend, Sin Yee at Gianni's Trattoria Restaurant & Cafe. It is an Italian restaurant which caught my attention, so I decided to hold an event at there.

Sin Yee, Jia Hui, Tze Wei and I reached at around 1230 hours. Only God knew how famished I was since I had not eaten started from Saturday afternoon till then. So I just could not wait any longer. After I had placed my order, I took the opportunity to snap some randomly shots around the restaurant which owns by Italian, I guess. ( =

beverages were served before the food. Better than nothing. The 3 of us did not make any special order, except Jia Hui. Thousand thanks to her. 'cuz of her, we know how Macchiato looks like.

Macchiato @ RM7.50 is actually an espresso with a small amount of milk. No wonder it served in a small 'lil cup. hohoho...

in Gianni, the traditional style Italian pizza is available. And I always believe that Italian pizza is much more flavorful than both Pizza Hut's and Domino's. Thus I ordered a Pizza Frutti Di Mare @ RM36.00. It is a seafood pizza.

I love seafood, especially when they are fresh. So it is easy to understand why I fall in love with this pizza. There was a generous sprinkling of clams, mussels, shrimps and squids topping on the bloody thin dough layer. All of which tasted fresh and properly cooked.

the another dish I would like to recommend is Mushroom Soup @ RM14.00. Tze Wei ordered it. It is a simple dish but tasted real good. However I think it is slightly over-priced.

although the soup looked oily, but it did not tasted greasy at all. Smooth and flavorful. Much better than the mushroom soup which I had been eaten in Chez Papa few months ago.

well... talk 'bout my order again. I had ordered a set lunch @ RM25.00. It comprised a soup, lamb shank and ice lemon tea. Basically I do not have any good impression over the soup. Tasted like detergent. The dish is colorful, just the taste was not so right.

......... a single sip could scared me off... LOL

but! I was overwhelmed by the main dish aka Lamb Shank soon.

that was the very first time I consumed the mutton. I would say this Lamb Shank did not giving me any bad impression. Good presentation. Good color-combination. Good food. Good taste. The mutton was tender and did not smell gamey. What troubled me all these while is the yellowish mash.

the mash was served in a generous portion. Substituted the rice, I guess. It made me feeling full as I had eaten rice. But what was that? The curiosity kills me. Jia Hui said egg was added. Samuel told me butter was one of the ingredients of making it. And I felt that oat was mixed in. Nobody knows the correct answer except the chef himself. So I googled it. It might be some sort of bean mash which was cooked with milk and whatnot ingredients.

besides that, Gianni provides plethora types of pasta and spaghetti too. A good restaurant with good food, but not the service. Waitresses should smile more. The wonderful ambiance should not be spoiled by the unfriendly service. Customers deserve to have a better service. I think the owner should take note of it.

as stress, we enjoyed our food. Free flow of sky juice is available there. It is just nice for old friends and families to hang around to chit-chat and update each others.

the whole meal for 8 of us (Samuel, his girlfriend, Jean, and Xue Hui came afterwards) cost RM233.45. No doubt it is a luxuriously spending and pricey. But it is still considered okay for a good Italian restaurant. I personally recommend this restaurant to those Italian food enthusiasts if you do not mind 'bout the poor services.

Cameron Highlands Trip Overview

people love travel, so do I. I always wish that I could travel to oversea in order to explore everything which I have never explore yet. And I firmly believe that by traveling and exploring the others' lifestyle, people can only then understand how tiny they are in this world.

if travel can be categorized as a hobby, let it be mine. However, this hobby is strictly restricted by the money matter. You want to travel? 'course you can if you got the money! It is simply undeniable that money does matter. Thus I have decided to save up a lot of money for holidays trips to somewhere farther.

in the process of saving up money to somewhere farther, I had traveled with friends to somewhere nearer and apparently it did not cost me too much of money.

it was a nation of flower. Nation?! Hmmm... countryside to be exact. All the veggie and fruits there are as fresh as daisy. Everyday.

according to Wikipedia, Cameron Highlands is actually a district in Pahang. I, as a geography-idiot, always believe that it is located in the state of Perak. Shame on me to be a Malaysian for 24 years. And luckily I never teach geography in school. Otherwise I will definitely failing the students.

back to the main topic. It was a 3-days-2-nights-trip. Without Lin Fang's relatives, I think the friends and I would not be able to make the trip so successfully. Don't you believe? Well, just continue the reading.

Day 1: An Inexcusable Oversight

woke up at 0300 hours. I was overjoyed. It was the maiden travel with friends. Purely organized by us, not under any organization like before. Just try to imagine my feeling at the moment. Lin Fang came to pick me up at around 0430 hours. She was late. However she was not the culprit but Kai Ying. Kai Ying was sick. That was utterly not a good news in the morning. It would be better for her to rest at home. So that her eye would not swollen on the following days.

Lin Fang drove all the way down to Batu Pahat to meet up with her mama and relatives first. Then we continued the journey to our destination -- Cameron Highlands. Meanwhile we stopped at Bidor to fill up our stomachs.

along the way to Cameron Highlands, many petrol stations are found. However the 4 of us never thought of adding fuel. And the result can be predicted. Yes. We were run out of fuel when we were at the middle of mountain. Less than 5 kilometers away to the rental apartment. Good news is that we went to Cameron Highlands with Lin Fang's relatives. They bought us some fuel after we were forced to stop the car. And fortunately there was a retail store. Lin Fang parked the car at there. We pretended like nothing happened and went inside the store to buy some snacks while we were waiting for the rescue team anxiety to rescue us.

waiting is a torturing process. We decided to occupy the time by taking photos and enjoying the snacks we had bought.

frankly speaking, I cannot imagine if Lin Fang's relatives were not around, what should we do at the moment. Thanks for having them. Sincerely.

Day 2: I'm A Vegetarian

perhaps it sounds a 'lil bit absurd. But I have to say... I feel like I am a vegetarian at Cameron Highlands. I am merely cannot imagine how the residents there live under the circumstance like that. Maybe they like the way they live, who knows?! Meat... was unavailable at there, except those steamboat shops. Even at the night market, I did not find any stall which sells fried chicken. Neither the egg. What they have the most? Corns corns corns... broccoli broccoli broccoli... strawberry strawberry strawberry... lettuce lettuce lettuce... cabbage cabbage cabbage... carrot carrot carrot... and variety of veggie and fruits. Uncountable. Actually I wondered whether the residents love to eat the veggie or not. Everyday the same veggie, same fruits. Will they sick of them? Just try to imagine... everyday you eat the salad. And the ingredients are all the same every week, not to say everyday, for sure you will sick of it, doesn't it? Okay... that is only my wild guess. Who knows there would be someone in this world love to eat the salad with same ingredients everyday?!

by the way, there is a fact that I was kinda boring on that day and eventually analyzed why the meats are unavailable at there. And I had came out with this conclusion: It could be very expensive as the meats need to be transported to there. Fees are charged and customers have to share the burden of transportation fee. Typically businesses and economics issues. And forgive me as I cannot explain the relationship between the goods and customers in details. I am not a business student. True.

thanks Lin Fang's relatives for preparing the steamboat for us. It was tasty and good to have it under the cold climate at there. Without them, I think we just got corns to eat only.

Day 3: Home Sweet Home

time to go back home. I just simply could not wait. Why? I need a good sleep. I need to sleep so badly as I did not sleep well in the past 2 days. Yeah, the cold climate made me trembled in the midnight and unable to sleep at all. It was too cold. Also, I missed the old mama. And the dishes she cooked for me too.

Mischievous Kiss

well, I think this is pretty interesting when I do not have any desire to follow the others' steps as they are watching and discussing 'bout the newest Korean drama, i.e. Personal Taste which has been aired every Saturdays, 9.30p.m. on Channel U since couple weeks ago. Who knows it would be possibly the side effects of watching The Temptation of Wife. It was a best drama production which makes me feel so hard to watch another Korean drama. It might be a lousy production, ain't it?

however days getting boring while I am waiting for the next season of Vampire's Diary. So I decided to let myself go. Coincidentally, Hwee San told me that Kim Hyun Joong's new drama is aired on PPS. Thus, there is no reason for saying NO to Korea drama anymore.

Mischievous Kiss (abbreviation MK), is also known as Naughty Kiss or Playful Kiss. The drama is based off on the popular Japanese manga book, i.e. Itazura na Kiss, and the Taiwanese drama, i.e. It Started With a Kiss. The Japanese had produced Itazura na Kiss into soup opera in year 1996. Hmmm... 14 years ago. In other words, I watched the drama when I was only 10. No wonder I had forgotten much of the scenes but still remembered that the male actor was truly handsome, hohoho...

after the Japanese version, the same drama was later made into two Taiwanese shows. And in year 2010, the manga is being adapted to a Korean drama.

so far I had watched 4 episodes of the drama on PPS. And there is nothing to hide 'bout. Good means good, or vice versa. Although Hyun Joong is the selling-point of this drama, but I cannot deceive myself that this is a good drama, particularly when it is not. Why am I saying so?

first of all, there are copious of similarities between MK and Goong Princess Hours. Lacking of creativity. Obviously they are adapted from two different story plots, but somehow it turns out to be sequel of Goong. And for Korea plastic surgeons' sake, even the female main actor do look like Yoon Eun Hye. Goong indeed! No wonder people said, the Korea handsome guys and pretty girls do look the same.

besides that, the two main actors are poor in acting, I shall say. Hyun Joong never improve! The way he smiles, he walks, he talks... everything... is SAME.

in spite of it, I like the bright colors they used in the drama. From school equipments to every single little props. They look lovely.

after all, the drama is still airing in Korea. Hopefully we may get something new that could eventually become the best selling-points of the drama instead of replying on Hyun Joong only. Hope so.

I am back... from abandoning this bloggie that long. More than 2 months?! Are you guys missing me? Thirst for my writing? I am sorry for letting you guys down again and again. I knew... I did promised that I will try to update the post as often as I could. But all of you gotta trust it... the time was fully occupied in countless of tasks. I did not mean to break the promise. I mean it. And no more promise-breaking this time.

in the past 2 or 3 months, plethora of stories have been gathered. Just simply cannot wait to share with you guys one by one, step by step.

after the failure attempt in sending my photos to Shutterstock, I realized that a good equipment plays an important role in photo-shooting. Well, I am not criticizing that the current dummy camera, Pentax Optio M50, is bad, however we cannot deny that it is not good enough if compared to the latest or newest camera models.

all of us should understand that the technological equipments are evolving rapidly. So we cannot expect that the camera which I bought 2 years ago or more than the time frame, is good enough to compete with the other products in current market. They change and changing. All the way; all the time. And that is the rule of surviving.

few months ago, possibly it was coincidence, a catalog was given to me.

impressed by the color? Me too! According to the catalog, Pentax K-x provides an excellent specifications and features with a reasonable price. Suitable for me. Still, it costs over a thousand bucks. Geez. Where got so much of money to spend on a camera? The old mama would probably kill me if I purchase one. But the Pentax K-x looks so attractive to me.

apart from the colors we have seen, Pentax K-x has mixed color body as well. Looks perky and lively. Seeing is believing...

cannot believe that they could eventually make it! Creativity is important. Really.

what a day... came back so early from Maktab. It makes me feel like to write. Yeah, write. Something I wish that I could do it everyday. Share all my thoughts and opinions. To neutralize my thinking. I shall say... my brain cells are too active in having penny of thoughts.

frankly speaking, I had been written a post last night. However an error occurred which made my post unable to upload successfully. Perhaps it was coincidence or the work of Heavenly Father, the English test which had been conducted in this morning, was slightly related with the content I wrote last night.

someday the rose might wilt. Nothing is going to be everlasting, except the love we have in the depth of our hearts. Love conquers all.

that is my answer for a question that requested us to give our personal response based on a poem.

the idea comes from the Vampire Diaries. A new American drama series which I am addicted to recently.

have you ever thought that there would be something solid and touchable in this bluish planet can actually remain the same? Not going to change and to be everlasting? I could not find one, especially when I learn that even the vampires can die when we stab them with a wooden dagger into their hearts. So... there must be an exception, ain't it? Love. The one and only.

do you love?

I mean your family, friends, relatives, colleagues, etc... and even your enemies. I am not as perfect as Jesus Christ. I am incomplete. I cannot find a way to love my enemies... yet! I have to learn to. But how?

again, love conquers all. With love, we can overcome all the barriers.

but why, in the same time, I feel so unsettled. Does it mean that I never love?

I am a member of Shutterstock. Since couple months ago. Shutterstock is a photography website where you may download ('course you need to pay) or sell images. For you guys' information, I am not that kinda people whom loves to fork out the hard-earned money on photos. So why am I becoming a member of it? Yeah, to sell photos.

however it is not as easy as I thought to sell the photos via Shutterstock. After I have obtained the membership, it does not mean that I can submit or upload all the photos as I like. Before uploading any photos, I was requested to submit the photocopied passbook in order to identify my identity. Meanwhile, CHEATING is not allowed.

The ID you uploaded for the ShutterStock Submission program was rejected because:

Your passport/ID is out of focus/unreadable or has been cropped. Please upload a clear copy of your identification that has not been cropped in your submit account.

after the photocopied passbook which I had uploaded was approved and accepted, only then I can start to upload the photos. For the first time submission, rules and instructions must be followed. The submission will be reviewed. The initial portfolio submission is not for selling. Instead, it is a "check-point" where the panel examines my photography skills. I can only start my business once the panel gives me a green light by approving 7 out of 10 photos. You might think that is easy. So did I. Then I sent mine. Photos must be at least 4.0MP for a new photographer in his/her initial submission portfolio. On the next day, the panel replied me in an email. Results were out...

the panel has totally rejected my first 10 photos. In spite of this freaking bad results, I would still like to give a second try. Challenges force human to improve. Perhaps it is time for me to consider to pursue a DSLR.

IT ROO Cafe

IT ROO is an old-established ~~cafe~~ kopitiam amongst the locals. I think almost every JB-ian knows IT ROO for their specialty fried chicken chop. It is located at Jalan Dhoby, just right behind the That's Cafe.

I was "accidentally" knowing that the fried chicken chop is their signature dish, so I decided to give it a try. I was attempted to try the dish on Labor Day, but only God knows they were not doing their business on that day.

last weekend I got the chance to try the dish at last. With Jia Hui and Se Xun.

three simple menus were presented to us upon our arrival. The award-winning (the best chicken chop in town voted by The Star) chicken chop is the first item on the menu. The menu is ranging from Western dishes, Chinese dishes, variety of noodles, soups and sandwiches, drinks and desserts. Jia Hui and I ordered two sets of Fried Chicken Chop in Mushroom Sauce while Se Xun ordered a set of Grilled Chicken Chop in Black Pepper Sauce. Both types of chicken chop share the same price, i.e. RM 11.50. Considered as a reasonable price.

besides of the crispy layer, the another difference between fried chicken chop and grilled chicken chop is where the sauce will be put. For fried chicken chop, the sauce is placed under the chicken. On the other hand, the sauce is poured over the chicken for the grilled chicken chop.

frankly speaking, I like the mushroom sauce. Unlike the other mushroom sauces, it was not that watery and the slices of mushroom were generously added.

not to forget, the meat was tender and juicy. I like it too. Every time I tried to cut off the meat, the juice or gravy was just flow out from the layers of meat.

I like the chips as well. It tasted so PO-TA-TOES. Looked at the golden-yellowy outer layer... Not greasy at all. I think that was the best chips (wedges) I had ever eaten. Thumbs up!

if you think the portion of fried chicken chop is not enough for filling up your stomach, you may request to add two fried eggs, and 'course you need to pay more.

yesterday afternoon, I went to IT ROO again with Samuel, Tze Wei and Moazan. Since I had tasted the chicken chop, so I decided to have something new. I placed the order, i.e. Fish and Chips. Well, the Fish and Chips did not earn my praise. Nothing to shout 'bout. For the next visit, I shall stick to the famous fried chicken chop.

I walked away from IT ROO happily in the last two visits, mostly due to the friendly service and cozy atmosphere and ambiance. Antiques and old-school kitsches line the walls. And the decors as simple as it is, has a somewhat groovy post-colonial 1960's M'sia feel to it.

overall it is a nice place to dine in with your friends and family.

Teacher's Day

yesterday was Teacher's Day. And the workplace had a simple celebration. However to be accurate, 16th May was the actual date of Teacher's Day, the same date as the old mama's birthday. As usual, presents and greeting cards are given by those lovely students. And it always seems like they can never come out with some new and creative ideas. Glass, flowers, cakes, key chains, pens, etc... these are the presents I have received during these 4 years. A repeated cycle. Hmmm... do not misunderstanding. I am not asking for those expensive and branded presents. What I am trying to share is that presents could be low-costly and yet creative sometimes. And obviously our country needs CREATIVITY.

by the way, since it was a present-giving day, some of the colleagues have received numbers of presents; while some are not. Some of them were showed off with what they have gotten; while some were remained silence. Some of us were heavenly happy; while some were expressionless.

I have received some greeting cards. And frankly speaking, I do not keep them, especially those hand-made greeting cards. I am sorry 'bout that. In my house, there is no rooms or spaces to keep all these cards anymore. So I choose to eliminate some of them. There is no exception this year. Cards have been chosen.

among these cards, there is one which touched me the most.

a student of mine. She was in my class 2 years ago. And now, she is a Standard 5 student.

I was once a student. To me, marks and results are not everything. Students have their own abilities. They shine, somehow, in the way we always overlook. Not to forget, it is not how good you are in teaching them to get A's in variety of examinations, but how good you are in affecting and influencing them to lead a better life. It would be more meaningful, ain't it?

dudes and babes, one obvious thing to be pondered is whether you guys are missing my post. To me, I am kinda missing the days of blogging. And I am so afraid that I might lose it in the progress of turning myself into a full-time worker. Life is cruel.

this is the very first time I had never write a single post in a month. That is an abnormal phenomenon. And 'course, I hate of being like that.

3 or 4 years ago, a lady praised the bloggers in salute. "I can't imagine that they are still able to blog...", she said. I was surprised of the speech. In my mind, "what's the big deal of blogging? Need to be so respect meh...??!" Till now, only I realized that what she said actually make sense. Perhaps I am yet good at managing the time.

really. I have so much to be shared. So much and too much... until I have no idea where should I start from.

okay. Just talk 'bout my right wrist. Yeah, the injured right wrist.

couple weeks ago, I went to Hospital Sultanah Aminah with the old mama. She was there to have her routine body check-up. Since I was there, I went to check up my right wrist as well. It was discomfort for a few days. After a simple check-up, the doctor prescribed 4 types of pills and a muscular pain relieving ointment for me.

a pack of vitamins pills, a pack of Mefenamic Acid (consume it when you're in pain), 2 packs of gastric pills (after eating the Mefenamic Acid, it could triggered gastric problem) were given by the department of pharmacy. Not to forget, they even gave me a muscular pain relieving ointment... ++"

okay, let me introduce... here she is -- my cousin Renee, origin from Kampar, and has married to a guy from Sabah. So to be accurately, she is currently staying in Sabah with her newly-wed-husband.

does she look beautiful? hohoho... Yes, she looks more prettier after her wedding. I did attend to her wedding ceremony last November. Time flies.

the cousin was arrived in JB on couple days ago. She and her friend are gonna stay at my house for 'bout 5 days. They come here to attend a Christianity class. By coincidence, the class is conducted at the church (Holy Light) where I used to go to. Somehow it seems like Heavenly Father has sending two angels for me. They could help me in persuading the old mama to accept Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. This is what I always asked for in my prayer. And now I am waiting for a miracle happens ( =.

the cousin has a pretty tight schedule as she starts her class at 0830 hour to 2130 hour in these 5 days. So it is fairly difficult to bring them to explore JB. Yet JB has nothing to explore with ++".

anyway just hope that they would have a good impression over JB. BUT that is tough to change their mind too. Once they reached JB, the cousin asked me... "is that JB very unsafe?" Geez. What does it mean? People do read newspaper. And you are just simply cannot lie.

Not From the School of Design

this invitation card is another piece of my work. How talented I am, isn't it? hohoho...

hmmm... although I am pretty proud of my work, but I was only in charged of designing template. Those information was typed and quote was sought by the other colleagues.

this is not the first time I was given the task of designing the invitation cards. Those invitation cards that I had designed included Graduation Ceremony, Malam Citra Budaya, Year-End Ceremony and not to forget the special events. Too bad the flash drive was "infected" by the virus and I lost all my data in the flash drive, otherwise I could show all the pieces of work here. Yes, I spent quite some time in designing all these invitation cards. And guess what... people might think that it is an easy job, but in fact, they were not. I am not a student from school of design, nor a savvy Adobe users, but seems like the school management has always put a high expectation on me. This explains why I am always assigned to complete with these sort of work.

nonetheless, in order to gain something, you have to sacrifice at first. I have to sacrifice the leisure time, but at the same time I have gained the knowledge of designing the invitation cards. Thus it is still considered worthy.
