			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The practice of Yoga brings with it many physical and emotional benefits that the majority of people are unaware of. This article is quite long, so we have broken it up into two parts. The first part is an introduction to Yoga and a overview of the major physical and psychological benefits of Yoga, while the second part shows how practicing yoga daily can have a profound effect on your ability to create a healthy lifestyle for yourself.</p>
<p>Yoga is a science; and indeed, in many places in the world (such as India), it is referred to as a science. This is not merely playing with words; it truly is approached as a science, which means that it is understood in terms of scientific methods.</p>
<p>Yogic science seeks to verify cause and effect, and build principles based upon objective observations. Indeed, in many places in the world, to be a yogic master of any credibility, one must be highly educated in the sciences, including physics and the biological sciences.</p>
<p>This discussion on yoga as science is important for us to include because it allows us to sensibly ask the question: what are the benefits of yoga? After all, if yoga is a faith or a belief, then asking this question isn&#8217;t fair; because it&#8217;s one that yoga cannot answer in terms that we can objectively understand.</p>
<p>Yoga is a science; as empirical and pragmatic as kinesiology, or exercise science, which seeks to understand how the body acts and reacts to changes in the internal physical environment. And even more simply than any of this: each of us has a right to ask the basic question, &#8220;why should I bother practicing yoga and what experience or benefits can I expect?&#8221;</p>
<p>Indeed, while the experience of yoga cannot be reduced to words  just as reading a book on preparing for a marathon isn&#8217;t going to actually physically prepare you to run a marathon  the goals and principles of yoga can easily be discussed.<br />

Here&#8217;s the Mayo Clinic&#8217;s take on the benefits of meditation:</p>
<p>&#8220;Meditation is used by people who are perfectly healthy as a means of stress reduction. But if you have a medical condition that&#8217;s worsened by stress, you might find the practice valuable in reducing the stress-related effects of allergies, asthma, chronic pain and arthritis, among others.&#8221;</p>
<p>Yoga involves a series of postures, during which you pay special attention to your breathing  exhaling during certain movements and inhaling with others. You can approach yoga as a way to promote physical flexibility, strength and endurance or as a way to enhance your spirituality.</p>
<p>The Mind-Body Connection</p>
<p>Yoga is centered on the mind-body connection. This mind-body harmony is achieved through three things:</p>
<p>- postures (asanas)</p>
<p>- proper breathing (pranayama)</p>
<p>- meditation</p>
<p>Mind and body draw inspiration and guidance from the combined practices of asanas, breathing, and meditation. As people age (to yogis, ageing is an artificial condition), our bodies become susceptible to toxins and poisons (caused by environmental and poor dietary factors).</p>
<p>Yoga helps us through a cleaning process, turning our bodies into a well synchronized and well-oiled piece of machinery.</p>

<p>Psychological Benefits</p>
<p>As noted above, Yoga also delivers an array of psychological benefits; and in fact, this is a very common reason why people begin practicing it in the first place. Perhaps the most frequently mentioned psychological benefit of yoga is an improved ability to manage stress. Yoga diminishes an individuals levels of anxiety, depression, and lethargy; thus enabling him/her to focus on whats spiritual and important: achieving balance and happiness.</p>

<p>1. Dont work more than you have to. Money isnt everything. You family needs a happy and sane mom.</p>
<p>2. Create a schedule or to-do list both for work and your personal life. Just realize that you wont always get everything done and dont worry if you dont. Theres always tomorrow.</p>
<p>3. Designate an errand day. Spend one day a week running around town getting everything done for the week. This is when you will grocery shop, drop things off at the drycleaner, go to the post office and anything else you need to do.</p>

Youve probably heard all these silly rules before, but experts weigh-in on the worthiness of these supposed truisms &#8211; most of which won&#8217;t help you lose weight or make dieting any easier.</p>
<p>10 Food Rules You Can Ignore:</p>
<p>1. Eating at night will pile on the pounds. The total calories you consume over a 24-hour period or over a week is what causes you to gain weight, and when you eat these calories doesn&#8217;t matter.</p>
<p>2. It&#8217;s best to eat at the same times every day. Eat when you&#8217;re hungry, not when the clock says it&#8217;s time to eat.</p>
<p>3. Dieting with a buddy always makes weight loss easier. Common goals may pay off but weight loss is a personal journey.</p>
<p>4. Dietary fat keeps you feeling full longer, so you&#8217;ll eat less. Fat does take longer to digest, but it will not help you control your appetite. Foods likely to fight off hunger the longest are protein foods, followed by carbohydrates, then fats.</p>
<p>5. When you blow your diet, you might as well wait until the next day to get back on track. Nothing could be farther from the truth- always try to get right back on track with your next meal.</p>
<p>6. Refusing food at a party or when visiting is rude. Turning down food that you know will blow your diet is socially acceptable.</p>
<p>7. Skipping a meal every now and then will help you lose. Skipping a meal means you will be so hungry at the next meal that you are likely to overeat. This can also help lead to a slowdown of your metabolism.<br />

8. Bread is fattening, nuts are fattening, pasta is fattening. Whole-wheat bread/pasta is a great source of nutrients, and it won&#8217;t make you gain weight more than any other food with the same number of calories.</p>

I know this is starting to happen when it gets easy to miss my regular workout. Recently, I noticed this had happened when I easily talked myself out of going to the gym for almost 2 weeks straight. Obviously, something needed to change. So here are a few ideas that I use from time to time just to spice up my workout. Give them a try, and Im sure youll find some new excitement to your workout as well.</p>
<p>Change your Grip!</p>
<p>This is a small change compared to most of the others you can do, but one way to spice up your workout from time to time is to change the way youre gripping the bar when doing barbell or machine exercises. One of my favorite grips is the palm grip. In fact, Ive read several articles from fitness trainers and other professional athletes that suggest that on exercises like the bench press, you should only be using a palm grip.</p>
<p>So what is a palm grip? Lets use the bench press as an example for the palm grip. Many of us have been guilty of using a standard grip on this exercise, myself included. A standard grip would be where you wrap your hand around bar as if you were holding a baseball bat. If you want a more effective bench press, try not wrapping your thumb around the bar. You might think that youll lose some stability by doing this, but Ive never had that problem. You might have to bend your wrist a little more to compensate, or lower the weight just a little bit. The main benefit to using a palm grip on this type of exercise is that by putting your thumb in this position, you are reducing the amount of effort that your forearms will put into the exercise. Therefore, you chest and tricep muscles will have to work even harder to do the lift. Try this, and Im sure youll notice a difference the next time you perform a bench press.<br />

Try Trisets!</p>
<p>Youve probably heard of super sets, where you do two exercise consecutively without resting in between. Have you ever tried doing three different exercises? This works extremely well with bicep exercises. The benefit to doing a triset with a bicep workout, is it allows you to hit the bicep really hard in three different ways. Heres an example of a bicep triset: standing barbell curls, hammer curls, reverse barbell curls. Youll also notice in this sequence that you have to change your grip with each set of the triset. This is the best way to utilize a triset. Heres an example of a triset with triceps: straight bar cable push downs, rope cable push downs, reverse cable pushdowns. Again, the key here is to change the grip on each exercise. Give these a try, and Im sure youll feel a new pump in whatever body part you utilize them with!</p>
<p>Change you Split!</p>
<p>Have you been following the same split routine for two long? Has your split routine consisted of chest and triceps, back and biceps, or something similar for several months? Try reversing your split or doing a 5 day split instead of a 3 day split. Do chest and biceps, back and triceps just to mix it up a little.</p>
<p>These are just a few basic ideas, but its always a good idea to mix up your routine on a continual basis. That way you can keep your body guessing and growing to adapt to the changes in stress that you place on your muscles.</p>

Basically, any activity that promotes aging will result in drop off levels. Jump on that treadmill, release that excess stress, and maintain your already decreasing amounts of this vital hormone!</p>
<p>Combat Andropause by using DHEA as a hormonal supplement. If you take too much, your body will stop producing its own natural amount. An excess of DHEA can skyrocket your levels of testosterone, amplifying your male features. Not a good idea for women who want to maintain their female attributes. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You have the ability to create your own mind-set. Whether your attitude is positive or negative, is up to you. The ability to change your environment, circle of friends, and attitude, is within your control.</p>
<p>Just like a computer absorbs raw data, so does your mind. Within your mind a culture, within itself, has grown. Many people feel like they have no control of their own mind, because this culture has become negative. The negativity is a result of past experiences, being in a negative environment, or being under the influence of unconstructive ideas.</p>
<p>Similar to a computer virus, you have to identify it quickly, to avoid letting it spread within your mind. You can also pass this virus of negative thinking to people around you. As a result you are spreading negative energy around, like weeds in a field.</p>
<p>Much like a farmer, you cultivate too. The energy in your mind is the crop, and it is up to you, whether it is weeds or wheat. If you have a farm and let a field take care of itself; you will be lucky to have any kind of a crop, from it.<br />
This is the same with the energy within your mind.</p>
<p>You have to option to pick quality seeds: Information, in the form of books, eBooks, DVDs, CDs, lectures, courses, workshops, and seminars. This is learning, for the sake of self-improvement, and it results in a positive mind-set.<br />

However, your work is not finished, because you must still reinforce the lessons, and keep everything in a focused order. This might be compared to fertilizing, watering, and weeding the mind. You have to work at it continually or the weeds will grow back. This, my friend, is meditation, and one of the reasons why we meditate, in the first place.</p>
<p>Meditation is controlled focus on an object, thought, or task without judgment.<br />
This process makes it possible to look at all situations objectively. You can find solutions, turn negative situations into positive learning experiences, and create your own positive mindset. As a result of this you will make new friends, reach goals, handle problems easily, and develop an indomitable spirit.</p>
<p>Remember the last time you made an accomplishment. That feeling, and that ability, are within all of us. It is a formula for success, but you have to take action. Action is something that the vast majority of people will never take.<br />
Learn to separate yourself from the pack, through education, meditation, and action.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Andropause and hair loss often go hand in hand. Imagine clumps of hair falling off your head, or observing strands of once healthy hair collecting in the shower drain. Maybe you run your hand through your hair and feel it thinning. It can feel daunting and quite scary.</p>
<p>Typically, hair loss is a result of an imbalance of male testosterone hormone in the body. Instead of infusing the hair with healthy testosterone, enzymes break it down to a simpler form known as dihydrotestosterone.</p>
<p>An excess of this hormone has the effect of decreasing the size of hair follicles which eventually break down and make your hair fall off sporadically. The medical condition that is best associated with hair loss in Andropause sufferers is hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism is a by-product of decreasing levels of Human Growth Hormone, which is responsible for regulating our aging process. Andropause sufferers hormones have a profound effect on the rate and consistency of hair loss. Dihydrotestosterone (considered by medical circles the strongest, most potent form of testosterone) is responsible for building and growing body hair in men (at normal levels &#8211; an excess causes hair degeneration.)</p>
<p>This includes body hair, pubic hair, head hair, armpit hair  any hair. DHT is directly produced in the skin, made to work by supporting enzymes that break it down for distribution throughout the body. DHT levels are present more in certain areas of the body than in others  explaining why we may have a full crop of hair on our heads and little bushes of hair on our chests and backs. Realize, women also have DHT in their bodies but produce less of it.</p>
<p>That explains why women dont have body hair. Case in point: an excess of DHT is prevalent in Andropause sufferers, explaining the reason for hair loss. The enzyme used to break down testosterone to dihydrotestosterone is over activated &#8211; working too hard and too fast.</p>
<p>This is the primary cause for this Andropausal condition. As aforementioned, dihydrotestosterone is present more in certain areas of the body than in others. For this reason, mens hair can fall into funny patterns. You know, the balding train station clerk you might have seen with more hair on his scalp than the top of his head. The shrinking of hair follicles as a result of the production of DHT is attributed to this.</p>
<p>How hair grows is a wondrous thing in itself that needs to be recognized. Typically, hair grows at a rate of a quarter inch every 2 weeks. Andropause sufferers have their hair growth cycles disrupted when there is erratic growth of some hair strands where new hair pushed old hair out. Because Andropause is a period of hormonal imbalance, a lack of hormonal stability and poor homeostasis (holistic balance) in the body pushes things out of whack.<br />
<span id="more-433"></span><br />
If you want to maintain healthy strands of hair, one thing you can do is hit that stair climber machine fellas! Exercise reverses the aging process and may certainly reverse this symptom. There are also hair loss products that can help you recapture your hair.</p>
<p>Secondary causes of hair loss in men suffering Andropause is stress. More specifically, stress raises the levels of cortisol and cortisone (known as stress hormones) in the body. Eating non-nutritional foods also speeds up hair loss.<br />
Pretty much any activity that speeds up the aging process will speed up your hair loss.</p>
<p>Stay away from caffeinated drinks, fast foods, and cigarette smoking to keep running your hands through your thick mane longer. Participate in recreational activities to reduce stress and light up your life with a proper exercise regimen.<br />
If youre suffering from this condition, dont let it affect you in the least bit! Andropause should not serve as a punishment  rather, a realization of a future for the better.</p>
