The 10-hour program is ideal for supervisors with safety and health responsibilities, and for employee safety and health awareness. Rob Loose, the Safety and Risk Manager at MAU says, “Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a General Industry Outreach training completion card but more importantly, will walk away with a better understanding of what OSHA expects of employers with regard to 29 CFR 1910.”

Deadline for registration is Thursday, December 1st. Minimum required class size is 15.

Increased demand from a local client has prompted MAU Workforce Solutions to seek to fill 100+ Call Center Representative positions between now and December 5^th. These 100+ Call Center Positions are located in Augusta, GA and will be responsible for handling inbound customer service-oriented calls.

“We are seeking the best possible candidates to fill these positions,” said Jason Kennedy, the hiring manager for these positions. “We have planned four job fairs over the next month or so to ensure that we give as many candidates as possible a chance to interview for these jobs.” At the job fairs, all qualified candidates will be offered an on-the-spot interview on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kennedy said that those hired on with MAU will begin a 6 week training program. During this paid training period, they will learn everything they need to know to be successful in the position. Starting pay for the positions is $8.50 per hour, $12.75 for overtime, and includes an opportunity for pay increases after three months. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday, from 2:30-11:00pm.

MAU finds most applicants via online applications on the MAU website at http://www.mau.com/callcenter, but due to the large number of positions that need to be filled, the company is supplementing with job fairs. MAU also offers cash rewards for employee referrals.

Kennedy mentioned that the ideal candidates for these positions are “able to handle a high volume of inbound calls and have excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills.” He also said MAU requires that candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and prefers that they have a few years of work history.

These positions offer many advancement opportunities, as well as competitive pay. All hired employees are eligible to enroll for benefits on their start date. Candidates may have the opportunity to work from home after a successful probationary period is complete.
